Hobbies:
Staff Fighting || Because Isidor has to get out of the house somehow. And working out is a good way for him to get out, be social, and feel like he’s actually doing something in the wake of his divorce and the mess that his life has become. Sure, the energy he brings to the gym is very “could a depressed person do THIS???”, but at least he’s going to the gym!!
Cooking || Okay, well. Isidor used to love cooking. Deep down he still kinda does, but many fights with his ex-wife where nitpicking his cooking ended up as a proxy for all the other problems in his marriage has destroyed a lot of his joy in it. Once upon a time, he was the professor who brought food to study and exam days, and maybe one day he’ll be that professor again.
Virtues:
Passionate || Really. Seriously. It’s dulled, of late, but Isidor does still have quite a lot of passion and intensity in his heart. For people he cares about, for his work, for the things he loves to do—it’s all there, waiting to shop. It’s how he still drags himself to work and to the gym despite honestly wanting to just lay in bed and be a misery puddle: he really does love what he does, and he wants to show up for the few remaining important people he has left.
Lifelong Learner || A very nice way to say “********’ nerd.” Isidor genuinely does love research, learning, so on and so forth. It makes him happy in a way few things do, and he’s always eager to take on and pass on new information. He’s open to new ideas and new ways of thinking (as long as they’re not about himself or his own habits) and generally tries to avoid falling into the trap of believing he’s always right and knows everything.
Hopeful || Even when it doesn’t seem like it. Even when Isidor himself would probably disagree. The thing is, he really does think that things can get better, somewhere deep down, even if he sounds bitter as hell when he says it. Things probably will get at least somewhat better, so it’s worth it to keep going. There has to be a rock bottom and a point at which you have to start climbing up.
Flaws:
Arrogant || Isidor is a somewhat accomplished academic, and he can be….thoroughly intellectually arrogant. Sure, he’s not always right and he doesn’t know everything and he really does believe that, but if he feels like he’s in an I Know More Than You situation, you wouldn’t know it from the way he talks.
Self-Hating || Somehow, despite being an academically arrogant jackass, no one hates Isidor like Isidor hates Isidor. He is hypercritical of his own flaws, has trouble conceptualizing the idea that he has worth outside his academic accomplishments, and generally looks at himself as a wort of miserable, pitiable thing that no one should have to deal with.
Stubborn || Incredibly, annoyingly so. Isidor is an absolute wall when he decides something, often very much to his own detriment. He is especially stubborn about things like his own bad habits, his general misery, and his lack of desire to fix his own s**t. Sure, his life’s a mess, but if he stubbornly commits to the course of it all, then it’s like it’s his choice!

Page Weapon: A plain, old, battered journal in pastel colors. It is entirely blank.
Squire Weapon: A fancy blank journal in pastel colors, with the symbol of the moon engraved on the cover.
Magic: Pergamon opens his journal, and an ethereal quill appears in his hand. He touches the quill to the page, and it vanishes, and a ten-foot area around him is bathed in soft moonlight. Allies within the radius are filled with hope, giving them a boost to fight on even against difficult or impossible odds. Pergamon can channel this magic for 30 seconds at this stage.
Knight Weapon: An elegant, blank journal in pastel colors, with engravings of the symbol of the moon surrounded by flowers on the cover.
Magic: Pergamon opens his journal, and an ethereal quill appears in his hand. He touches the quill to the page, and it vanishes, and a fifteen-foot area around him is bathed in soft moonlight. Allies within the radius are filled with hope, giving them a boost to fight on even against difficult or impossible odds. Allies within the radius also receive a small amount of healing; minor injuries will be fully healed and moderate injuries lessened if they stay within the radius for the full duration. Pergamon can channel this magic for 45 seconds at this stage.

Wonder Description: A grand library, sometimes whispered to contain the sum total of all knowledge. Although this might not be literally true, its collections are vast, with texts from many worlds, and in the Silver Millennium, it was a bustling center of learning. The library of Pergamon is built around a central courtyard in which there is an elegant fountain; once upon a time, the water in that fountain came from an underground spring that was said to grant clarity of thought to those who drank from it. The water itself ran iridescent and shimmering, when it was flowing clear, though in the present day the fountain seems to be dry.

Unknown to both Isidor and Imnolu, Isidor is the reincarnation of Imnolu's husband, Taran Blackstaff. Taran was a civilian in his previous life, and thus Isidor has taken up a new Knighthood.

Isidor was married for over a decade to Maria Gatti. Their contentious divorce in 2023-2024 left him in a very, very bad state. The couple had no children, and Maria has left Destiny City behind to work as a professor in California.
