Started off with a big snail but it looked a bit meh when I inked it. And it only took about 15 minutes but I didn't want to take it any further. So I decided to try a simpler cartoony style and experiment with different views of snails and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out heart

Day # 002 Theme: Sparkle Time spent: roughly 2hrs Comments: A surprise gift for Mae A very rough lazy art but i put a bit more effort as it's a surprise art gift for someone i've knwn a looong time. This piece is kinda difficult to express why I chose 'sparkle' for a friends avi when there's no sparkles in her avi. To sum it up, it was to thank and show my gratitude for being my friend and checking up on me from time to time and that her art cheers me and wows me so that's the 'sparkle' i tried to represent. I've had so many feels when drawin this but i'm not the best with words plus im not feelin too good (the heat here is killin me!!!) to even get my thoughts out straight... so i'll let the art speak for itself instead. hope the message 'sparkles'! I'm quite happy with how this turned out. There can be more improvement on some parts like the hair, effects and flowers but i wanted it to be quick and stress-free so i tried not to overdo stuff. I did push to make the shadows more 'shadowy' as possible but somewhere the highlights kinda got overshadowed i think?? I took a break from drawing around an hour in, to eat so, thankfully i didn't stress my hand which is awesome. I kinda like how i tried the eyes - i did a rough sketch and after painting her, i saved the eyes for a bit last so i used a new layer on top and redrew it a little bit more neatly. Still not happy with the shape of the eyes thou - needs to be more doll-like and like my trad style but i'll get there!

Comments: I love weird bird so much. XD The more I looked at the ref while drawing, the more I loved.. its uniqueness The headshot with the blue bg took 25 mins. I was surprised it took that long but... I stared at the refs a lot (which saved time on the second one). I also didn't start with a clear idea aside from "make it unsettling." <.<; The glittery one was inspired by today's theme sparkle.. inspired by. It'd been a loooong time since I last drew a glittery object. Once I started, I realized I forgot how I used to do it. XP I remember the basic idea so I made it up as I went along. It looked awful in the middle of the process... but it worked out. Oh shoot. I just remembered that I was gonna make its eye jeweled. Oh well, maybe another time XD It's saved with a transparent bg, but it looks kinda convincing from far away with a black bg. The glittery one is a good reminder that keeping things loose can work out. I used to spend so long making sure the details were spot on perfect. With this, it all got loosely sketched and it's imperfect.. but I'm happy with the results delivered art link

It's blegh and i'm too damn lazy to put more effort into them but i feel i'll get my style back after a few more drawings. Saturn as a human form. I know it's not the exact colour scheme as the planet - there's more reds as I was in a mood to mix two prompts together. Experimented with effects and some stuff i've learnt before. Bonus - Used a bit of blur to make it seem like her hair is flowy wavy behind. Still not too happy with my colour choices thou.

If anyone's interested in the pattern, I usually use this teddy bear pattern as a base, change up the ears based on whatever animal I decide to go with, and use this pattern as the basic outline for the clothes. Though I have never made the dress for the bride - mostly because I don't really like their dress pattern that much.

Comments: A very brain barf kinda art as it doesn't make sense. Drew this while talking with one of my bestie so I didn't put much thought to the process or planning but went with the flow. A mindless doodle.
Originally wanted to incorporate 'Grace' theme with this as a lady holding a love letter but it went in a complete different direction. and i ran out of time... this looks a bit more of a love letter bg with the girl as a forefront as a 'memory' maybe but i didn't lower the opacity and play with the effects.
Used a new type of brush for the lineart - i feel the texture shows a lot more and it's quite pleasin to work with. didn't want to paint it but did add a bit here and there like the blush and a shadow under the letter. also did a bit of hatchin but its a bit tough to hatch usin a tablet not quite happy with the sketchy look but i am a bit pleased with the loose hair and the side-view even thou it isn't perfect

Comments: Think I'll stick to ghost mode as it's easier for me to control all my art ideas and stuff... This here's a cute croc-gator type of pet! =D Was drawn for a contest entry for another site. I like how loose I went with the painting and didn't focus too much time on the painting but the overall look so it still feels a bit 'unpolished'. I really like the monochromatic look too. It looks a bit cohesive... maybe I should do more monochromatic studies... hmm... I was super nervous of drawing an animal. The only animals I've ever drawn are cats and they are hard as they are, the furballs! Surprisingly thou, this wasn't that bad? I referred the original pet design and based my drawing on the shape.
The original pet has these funky looking shapes sorta patterns on it's body so I merged the bg with it making it seem a bit of an eye-play of sorts. Funky lookin art for a funky lookin pet!

Comments: ;u; told you the other art wouldn’t depict her actual nature. June is not like this in the story. This was drawn most likely after I finished or during the last few chapters. I was telling my dad about the story, not that he cares even a little bit about my dumb projects(understandable), and he said “well I’m the evil president now” and then grabbed a bag of Funyuns I bought and said “of the Funyun club!” and tbh I don’t remember the rest of the context lol. Somehow I was inspired to draw June saying the same thing.
I have one commission that's been open in The Garden forever. This guy hasn't even been on for months and that's fine. I'mma still finish it because I promised lol.

This is Ruse, one of the two protags of Under The Same Stars. First, she finds Kevin to be super creepy(he is), but she warms up to him when he offers her a free place to stay and a job with “no strings attached”.
