This is the main open roleplay (ORP) thread. You will make posts here until there are side events, where new threads will be created. You do not have to participate in side events. You may not post in side threads AND the ORP at the same time. You must make an exit post in the ORP before posting in side threads. Then, you must make an exit post in the side thread before returning to the ORP.
R U L E S
● Do not delete posts for any reason during the event. You may only edit posts for RP, but do not reserve a post without some sort of a response. ● You must have signed up in order to participate in the event. ● If you sign up, please make sure that you will be active in the upcoming weeks (estimate 2-3 weeks). ● This event will be slower paced than what you are used to for an Extrasensory RP event. There will be some scheduled storyline updates. ● You may only sign up with and play one character for this event. You do not need a journal to enter your character. ● You may bring one Pokemon with you. ● If you don't have any Pokemon, you may borrow a stray buneary. You may name it and RP however you like, but keep in mind that rental pokemon must be returned at the end of the event. ● You will have a chance to win pokemon during the event, and consolation prizes will be given out after the event to those who RP'd a minimum amount and participated in at least one side event, but didn't win anything. ● Prizes won during the event may be traded, or gifted to someone else who was active in the event. ● Ask any questions in the main thread.

● To win pokemon, you must earn points in various side events! ● This event will have a main ORP, with side event threads. ● Participating in side events will earn you points towards a pokemon prize. You are limited to ONE pokemon prize. ● The main ORP will not win you any points toward pokemon prizes, but may include 1 swarm. ● There won't be any consolation pogeys this time, since it is a mini event. ● Pokemon will be distributed at the end of the event rather than in the middle of the event this time (with the exception of the swarm)

C h . 1 : To Go or Not to Go?
FREE one week winter getaway!! FREE FOOD Stay in a luxurious Seatance Valley wood cabin! Extrasensory Cruise & Clockwork Wastelands Balloon Rides comes this all new, completely SAFE adventure” Departs from Motterossa city by sleigh ride at 2pm on the 25th
The flyer in your hands is rather plain, decorated with snowflakes and a picture of a lovely little log cabin, and of course the text describing this winter getaway.
Your distrust and skepticism is immediate. The cruise, the balloon rides? Even if you hadn’t been there for them, you had at least heard about them. Nearly complete disasters, both of them; injured trainers, violent wild pokemon, bad organization...You weren’t so sure about this seemingly harmless winter getaway. A cabin, isolated in the frigid winter? You ponder.
The getaway starts today though...Are you sure you really want to miss out on this? Maybe these people had gotten their act together after all. After some more pondering, and against your better judgement or maybe the persuasion of your pokemon or someone else, you do decide to go.
Prompt 1: RP your character's decision to go, despite possible skepticism. Have them meet the group at the western border of Motterossa city, bundle up and pack the essentials for a week-long winter getaway. You have until January 25th to get your character there. The RP will update around 2pm EST.

C h . 2 : Dashing Through the Snow
Ch. 2: Dashing Through the Snow
A group of trainers has gathered on the outskirts of Motterosa City, the day is chilly, a blanket of snow covers the ground, though the sky overhead is clear and blue. It is a lovely winter’s day, and most think, this was a good choice after all. The group mingles, waiting for the person running the winter getaway to appear, and eventually he does. “Hello, trainers!” the Captain greets the group. However, the group of trainer’s attention is not very fixed on the Captain himself, but how he arrived: a huge, ornate sled. The thing is enormous, more than enough to fit the whole group, and outfitted with lavish green velvet seats. Red and black wood glistens in the afternoon light: where the heck did he get that sleigh? It looked extremely expensive, too expensive to be used at a free event. Tethered to the front is the Captain's Dragonite, which is heaving large breaths. Pulling that gigantic sleigh must have been hard, even with only one person in it.
“As you can see, my Dragonite is very tired from the journey here, and it looks like she won’t be able to pull us all back to the cabins without assistance.” The Captain surveys the group of trainers, “You there with the BLANK! If you would be so kind, please hook your pokemon up to the front of the sleigh. Anyone else with a large or strong pokemon, please do the same!” He asked of that specific trainer, and the rest of the crowd.
Prompt2
Response with your character mingling, offering their pokemon, and eventually getting in the sleigh. This chapter will be dynamic. Quote me to interact with the Captain while I’m online...But be careful to not scare him away!)
C h . 3 : Winter Safari
Ch. 3 Winter Safari
Once the largest pokemon of the group are in gear at the front of the sleigh, and Pearl the Dragonite has had all the refreshment she needs, the Captain hurries the rest of the group into the sleigh. “Watch your steps getting on! Don’t want any injuries…or scratched paint, need to return this in one perfect piece...” He mumbles the last bit. He seems like an ok guy, but a little scattered. “Now then! We’ll be to our destination in less than an hour. Along the way we may see some pokemon, so have your pokeballs ready! Think of this as a little winter Safari Zone! Hyah!” The Captain explained to the group, and with his last call, the pokemon in front of the sleigh pulled it forward. The Captain takes his seat, high on the front of the sleigh. “Mush!” The pokemon might not be happy with this man piloting their sleigh, but they complied and pulled the sleigh forward, Pearl in the front, and a Seadra closest to the sleigh. The bottom of the sleigh pushes forward through the snow with a groan, and the group is off!
Prompt 3
The sleigh ride will continue for a day or so. Respond with your character getting in the sleigh if you haven’t already, making conversation with a neighbor, or commenting on the weather, etc. Expect something exciting in the next update!
C h . 4 : A Chance Encounter!
Ch. 4: A Chance Encounter
“AH!” The Captain exclaims as the sleigh suddenly veers to the left. You’re jostled in your seat, thrown either into the person next to you or nearly out of the sleigh itself. The forms of several pokemon blur by the front of the sleigh, and the sides.
Disclaimer: image is motion-blurred and may cause minor headaches if you stare at it too long, so don't.
The Captain yelps again. “Do something, trainers!”
Prompt 4
If you have a pokemon not pulling the sleigh, feel free to RP them attacking or protecting the sleigh. Either way, once a pokemon shows itself, post the code below and you'll be entered in a flaffle for that pokemon! You have until midnight EST to respond, if you win this counts as your one pokemon for the event, and winners will be rolled at the end of the event, like all of the other events.
*You may only participate in this swarm if you have posted 3 or more times during the ORP!*
The swarm retreats, having been pelted with pokeballs and various attacks, back into the underbrush of the forest. Meanwhile, the trees around the sleigh suddenly grow thinner and smaller, the forest receding behind the group. A cabin was just in sight, a huge, traditionally styled log cabin which sat on a tall hill overlooking the lake. The Captain, forgetting completely about the pokemon swarm, calls excitedly “We’re almost there!” Smoke from a fire curls out the chimney, promising a warm and cozy interior. Over the course of the ride there, the sky grew grey and cold, and as the sleigh slows to a stop, flurries started to drift down.
“Yes, here we are! Please exit the sleigh in an orderly fashion, claim any pokemon at the front of the sleigh, and go pick out your space in any cabin. First come, first served!” He says in a hurry, clearly eager to get inside and warm up himself.
The interior of the cabin is just as lavish as the sleigh, decorated warmly, with a fairly sized living room when you first entered. Couches and cozy-looking chairs are placed about the space, with the fireplace situated in the back wall. To your left and right are doors labeled “Room #1” and “Room #2.”Straight in front of you are stairs which lead to another level that overlooks the living room, and predictably has doors labeled Room #3, 4, and 5.
“Welcome, welcome!” A woman with dark purple hair greets the group as they file in. “Please wipe your feet as you come in, leave your wet shoes by the door, and go claim a bed in any of the numbered rooms,” She smiles, gesturing up the stairs, though she glares at the wet and snowy shoes of the group. “And if you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask! My name is Koya, and it’s nice to meet all of you.” She smiles and gives a slight bow. The Captain greets her, they seem to be friends. They chat quickly and quietly, and then the Captain turns to the group. “Please join us this evening for refreshments and an introduction to the activities we have planned for you!”
Prompt 5
What a trip! Please RP your character exiting the sleigh, unhitching any pokemon that may have been pulling the sleigh, then enter the cabin to be greeted and claim a room. There are 5-6 beds per room, though these room-groupings will not be important to activities, just please try to spread your characters out for reality’s sake. Next update will be either tomorrow or Wednesday!
C h . 6 : Time for Fun!
Ch. 6: Time for Fun!
Large silver bowls filled with berries have been set out on small tables scattered about the main room. A fire is lit in the fireplace, adding a tinted glow to the room, setting a cozy atmosphere. It’s dark out now, and the group is understandably tired from the long trip and excitement along the way. “Gather around please! And help yourself to snacks.” He shot a look at Pearl, who had her face stuck in one of the silver bowls. She looked up and gave a berry juice covered grin. The Captain shook his head and returned her, she probably should be out in the cabin anyway, given her size. “Now then, this will be short so no need to get cozy! I’m sure you’d all rather wait for that in your beds. Anyway, I’m glad you all could make it, and I hope you’re having a fun time so far! I’m just here to list off the activities we have planned for you tomorrow!”
“Right out here in front of the cabin, we’ll have a snow-poke making contest! I’ll explain more out there tomorrow for anyone participating. Next is ice-skating, obviously down by the lake. Then there is sled racing, on the hill to the left of the cabin, and finally ice-fishing, also by the lake, but not in the same area as ice-skating of course!”
“Now back to your rooms and I’ll see you all later for these fun activities!”
Prompt 6
This thread is now simply the cabin thread, only post here if your character is in the cabin. You must post your character exiting the cabin and going to an event before you can post in the separate event thread. You can only post in one area at a time, and must have your character exit one activity before going to another. The activities begin now, but in RP time it is another day so you may RP your character waking up, grabbing breakfast, then going to an activity if you want.

Rao looked down at the flyer in his hands, eyeing it suspiciously. He'd heard of the other trips, and how they'd all ended in disaster. He'd also heard that most of the attendees at the trips were female - clearly this was a feminist plot to locate groudon. Turning to Sidley, he grimaced. "We have to go save the world, Sidley. It won't be easy, but we're the only ones who know the danger everyone is in."
The pachirisu sighed and shook her head at her trainer's antics.
Rao arrived at the meeting point hours later with Sidley, dressed in undercover garb. Instead of his usual Magma uniform, he wore a black t-shirt under a white button up shirt, left unbuttoned, and jeans. His ruffled red hair waved slightly in the breeze.

Arissa looked at the flyer she'd picked up. A winter getaway, with free food, board and events? Sounded fun. She had heard about the other events mentioned at the bottom of the flyer, and that they had not gone well, but perhaps people were exaggerating. Everyone came back alright, right? If there were a few hiccups along the way...well, it was free, you couldn't expect everything to be perfect. She could use a bit of a vacation.
But only one pokemon could come along, so which if hers should she bring? Kishin would be the obvious choice, since the Archeops was her main partner. But then Ronen would be left alone, and she'd probably have to board him somewhere. She couldn't do that to the baby Togepi. But on the other hand, if she brought Ronen then Kishin would fare much better on her own for a while. And Ronen could use a treat for performing so well in his first contest. Yes, that was what she would do.
She had to first make sure Kishin was OK with it and arrange for her to be boarded at the Pokemon Center (the only place she could get on such short notice), and pack some clothes and basic travel items, but she managed to arrive at the meting point in time. Her luggage fit in a largish shoulder bag and Ronen was tucked in a simple cloth sling across her chest, where he could look out at their surroundings but be in no danger of falling. She looked around, wondering who else might be coming on the trip.
Cambria looked at the flyer in her hand with just a little suspicion. She'd heard all about the other events like this. They sounded like a lot of trouble. But...everything on the flyer sounded like so much fun! The other events had to have been a learning experience, right?
"What do you think, Tes? Should we go?" she asked her Pachirisu, who wore a much more suspicious look on her blue and white face.
"Pachiiiii...." she grumbled. Cambria would do what she wanted to do, despite Tesla's suspicions so the electric squirrel shrugged her thin shoulders.
"Excellent! We'll go, then. They have to have changed things by now, right? This should be so much fun!" the young watcher/trainer exclaimed. Besides, it was free! How could she possibly pass that up?

Aya paused her trek looking teary eyed at the ground. She could feel Very in a rare display of affection butting her head against her trainers ankles in an attempt to soothe her. She hated fights, hated the screaming, her own self for being more fragile than she let on. She hated her tears for irritating him and making him even more angry. She trudged forward eyes on the ground to keep from seeing faces. Before she knew it she was at the park and she walked to a bench sitting down and pulling her knees up to her chin.
Very crawled up beside her cooing to her and laying her head on her trainers arm. "Is there anything I can do?" She thought shuddering. Her trainer was oblivious to her even here. The vulpix looked up to see a flyer float by her. Getting up from her heartbroken trainers side she leapt for it and drug it back to Aya.
Aya looked up as Very returned watching the vulpix waddle up to her. "What's that?" She reached for the flyer and pulled it out of the Fox pokemon's mouth. "...A vacation?" She looked down at her partner. "should we try this?" The vulpix chirruped in response. Aya shook her head. Maybe time to herself was what she needed. Time alone, She hated time alone. But she had few friends.
"Alright" she nodded and stood up. She'd go back to the house and pack some things without him seeing her. If he saw her she wasn't about to explain herself.

When she got home to pack his back was to her at the computer. Carefully she opened the door and walked behind him. But with the expensive headset she had gotten him he didn't even hear her come in. 'Does he even care?' she wondered. She walked behind him to the bedroom and pulled out her satchel throwing clothes and bathing supplies into it. A book went in as well and her notebook. Never knew what she would run into there. Returning to the living room he didn't stir as she left with her bag and Very on her shoulder. Closing the door behind her she wondered if he'd care when she was gone for a week. She made her way to the meeting place since she was in the outskirts of Motterossa anyway she wasn't real worried about missing the bus. Getting there she looked around. Not many people were here yet. Sitting down she pulled out her notebook and started to doodle to pass the time.
Katheryn blinked as Lorelai, her dear and faithful Sawsbuck, came prancing up holding a flyer in her mouth. She'd seldom seen the spring Sawsbuck this excited about anything, and indeed, she had a bit of trouble getting the flyer from her to see what on earth she was on about.
Holding the two pieces of the torn and slobbered-upon flyer up, she frowned. "Ohhh, dear. Well, yes," she said to Lori's dejected look in response to her lack of enthusiasm. "It sounds like fun, but I heard what happened to the crew who went for the balloon rides. It wasn't pretty, but... hmm." She tilted her head. "Maybe we should go. They might need someone with first aid training, and it'll be good experience."
Lorelai perked up and began hopping in place, all four hooves leaving the ground by about an inch with each bounce. Kat smirked. "Okay, okay, it's settled. We're going. C'mon luv. Do you mind carrying the bags?"
The sawsbuck snorted and shook her head to indicate that she did not mind. Kat always packed light, and she was happy to help.

Some time later, Kat and Lori turned up at the staging grounds on the outskirts of Motterosa. She wore a thick down jacket over her usual winter clothes and her favorite thick scarf- she'd even knitted a matching one for Lori as a welcome gift when the Sawsbuck had decided to come home with her a few weeks ago.
Lori had a couple of small bags strapped to her back; the first contained extra clothes and things that Kat would need on the trip. The second was Kat's well-stocked first aid kit, and was red and marked with a white cross accordingly.
As the much larger Lori attempted to hide behind her, Kat looked around at the small crowd of other trainers that had already gathered and waved with a small smile.

Lennyka received an uppercut under her jowl and sent tumbling to the mat her umpteenth time that morning. Luce sighed and shook her head at the teal-haired Rocket agent.
"How many times have we've gone over this?" the woman spat at the twenty year old, placing the very same hand that pummeled Lennyka into submission atop her burgundy corn rolls. "When I bring my fist up, sidestep it. Do you understand me?"
"Yea, yea..." Lennyka sighed as she thumbed the area of impact beneath her chin. When Luce offered her a hand, she clasped it and was pulled to standing. "I've just got a lot on my mind..."
"And that is?"
Lennyka pursed her lips. "Stupid stuff," she remarked, "that you probably don't want to hear about."
Luce shrugged her shoulders. "Good point, but talk anyway, your time is up and I ain't got anything else better to do."
"Huh, well, all right..." Lennyka, as she obtained her workout bag, pulled a crinkled slice of paper from one of the side pockets. "Some... guy gave me this and said I should go. Something about a trip... I don't know much about the company, and its free, but..."
"But?"
"It's a week long. I know I just hit agent rank, and asking for time off would be insane... But-"
"Butttt?"
"I really want to go."
"Giiirl," Luce huffed. "What'd I tell you about letting others stomp all over you?"
"But-"
"Go. I know a few people in the offices. I'll pull a few strings for you and get you some time. How's that?"
Lennyka's eyes widened to Luce's offer. "R-Really?" she smiled. "That would be great. R-Really, really great! But how? How can you..."
Luce grinned mischievously and ran a thumb over her knuckles. "My fist'll be doing a lot of talking," she replied.

One way or another, Luce did manage to get Lennyka the time she needed. While she was off-duty for the next week, it did not mean the teal-haired could did not take extra precautions. Her bright blue-green locks were concealed under the fall of a long, wavy blond wig. Her eyes were grey in color, but because they were not prescription contacts, the agent was forced to sport her old, fallow-rimmed glasses. In preparation for the cold to come, Lennyka had decked herself in a form-hugging blue winter coat, woolen sweater and pants, and a pair of boots that cost way too much. She stood in the expected waiting area with Daffodil at her heel. Since she knew none of the faces seen, she kept to herself, breathing warmth into hands that were never without gloves.
The Raichu flicked her tail in excitement. She had never seen snow before and when Lennyka had described to her that the area they were going to was freezing with hopes of persuading the Electric-type not to come (mostly because of the Pokemon's health), Daffodil couldn't object. Her giddiness was brimming so much that her cheeks cackled, sending a small shock up the agent's left leg.
"O-Ow!" Lennyka cried out as she hopped away from the mouse. "Calm down, Daff! We're not even there yet!"
"Raiiii," the Raichu replied in apology, scratching the back of her head.
Still, Lennyka showed her a somber smile. "It's all right," she said. "It was just a little jolt."

Merrick woke up slowly, and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Don't remember last night, don't remember at all," he said rhythmically to himself. His clothes where strewn across the room in a manner which he found very unpleasant. "Must please Big Brother," he commented as he found himself cleaning up the mess. As he was picking up the clothes, each item going to the correct place, each step calculated as to make less trips, he heard a noise from where he had been sleeping and wondered what could be in the room with him. He furtively glanced around, making sure everything was in a place, then slowly crept towards the bed. "Ugghnn..." The noise came from under the sheets. "Excuse me, Big Brother doesn't allow people in here. You have to leave, you have to leave." Merrick called out, not wanting to get closer. The sheets stirred and a women sat up, wearing a long T-shirt and a smile. "Raphael! I had a wonderful time yesterday night. I must be going though! I'm hope I am not late for work! Hope to see you at the cabin! Don't let me down!" the woman called before gathering her things, pulling on a pair of faded blue jeans and waved as she left. "Cabin?" Merrick thought, "And when was Big Brother here? Oh no! He must have seen the mess. I need to clean better. Better indeed!" He continued to clean the room, slowly and methodically, as to appease Big Brother. As he picked up a small flyer, he sighed, "Last bit of trash, Big Brother will be happy!" He walked over to the trash can and just about dropped the flyer in when he glanced down to read it. "This must be the cabin that strange lady was talking about. I have heard rumors of these people doing things. Highly unprofessional if you ask me, but then again, no one asks me. Maybe I could go to see how I can help them. That will please Big Brother." he said loudly.

He arrived several hours later and stayed near the outskirts of the meeting place to watch and see. He padded the pokeball on his side, always ready for anything. He scanned all the entrances and exits, possible routes of evacuation, walking routes, running routes, and any other possible things that could help him. Satisfied, he made his way to the crowd of people and watched meticulously, a small grin formed at the corner of his mouth.

Another event? Xander reread the flier with a skeptic look and a small frown. He had been on the cruse and Michelle had told him all about the *shutter* airship ride. Granted with the cruse he had come out of it with three pokemon, two of them making some very good presents to Michy, and she can come out of the airship ride with another so it wasn't like they had been complete disasters.
He still was NOT pleased that his little sister had been stuck in another time.
Still, it would probably be in his best interest to check it out. Who knows, maybe something helpful to Team Rocket would turn up. If nothing else he would at least see if there were any rare pokemon show up belonging to the trainers who go. He looked at his training/playing team with a thoughtful face after a moment.
"Rei, up for an adventure?" He asked, making the Ponyta pause in her laps. She neighed and trotted over to him to push her snout into one of his hands. "Should have known you would." He smiled and stroked her nose. "Alright then, time to get ready."
A little while later found him showing up at the meeting place with a back pack, in warm clothes and his hair was tied back in a braided pigtail. The blond looked around, curious to see if he would spot anyone he recognized.

Heal looked over the flyer as his friend chattered on from the nearby laptop. A small get away sounded delightful, to be honest, but, where had he heard about the Clockwork balloons...
"And then they decided to go find the damnable cure instead of going to find help! We nearly didn't freaking find it cause it was buried, we were almost eaten, or worse, killed!" Oh that's right, Gepardo had been ranting obout them for the last half hour.
"Hmmm...I am sure you were quiet alright. You had Lilli with you, she has met her fair share of pokemon." He looked over the information. "I think I am going to go to this!" He showed the flyer to the screen.
"Haven't you been listening to me?!?!!?"
"...Not really."
"...see this is why I hate teenagers...Fine, go and get kill, I'll arrange your funeral."
"Thank you" Heal chuckled, grinning as he said his final goodbyes and shut down the laptop. "Gally! We are going on an adventure!"
The leafeon wagged his tail and gave a yipping.

Just an hour later, Heal stepped out of a daycare with a heavy backpack after leaving the rest of his pokemon at their care. He smiled down at Gallifrey, who was nipping at his tiny sweater vest. "Leave it. You need the extra warmth." He grinned, pulling his jacket close.
The leafeon gave a huff and followed after his trainer as they walked off to meeting area.

Jack sighed, he didn't want to go, he really didn't. There would be people, lots of people and it would be cold. Not to mention the last trips had apparently go horribly wrong. Was this supposed to be some sort of survival skills test or something. The rocket sighed, He didn't see why he needed to 'get out of the base some times'. He was perfectly fine spending his time hiding in the base when he wasn't on a mission.
But the higher ups commanded it so he had to go. Jack started to pack his bags as he sighed again. There was all ways a chance this wouldn't end up going wrong, or something? The teen bundled himself up before looking at his pokemon partner, who was curled up in the blankets of his bed.
Viper was giving Jack a death glare, which was easily translated as "You are not going to a frozen waste land, I am staying right here were its warm." The cold blooded pokemon had no intention of leaving the warm confines of the room to go freeze to death on some adventure.
"Please?" He asked softly, half begging his only pokemon to come with him. He really didn't want to be alone in the middle of no-where with no way to protect himself. The Ekans responded with a hiss and angry rattle, but slithered up his arm after a moment, the boy would get himself killed if she wasn't there. So Viper grumpily slithered up her trainer and then promptly shoved herself down his shirt where it was warm.
The boy shivered slightly as the pokemon moved down his shirt, he would have preferred that she went between his shirt and sweater but knew that there was no sense in arguing it, she would do what she wanted. He was lucky that she was even coming with him at all.
A few hours latter Jack and his ekans!belt where hanging around Motterossa waiting for the sleigh ride.
A group of trainers has gathered on the outskirts of Motterosa City, the day is chilly, a blanket of snow covers the ground, though the sky overhead is clear and blue. It is a lovely winter’s day, and most think, this was a good choice after all. The group mingles, waiting for the person running the winter getaway to appear, and eventually he does. “Hello, trainers!” the Captain greets the group. However, the group of trainer’s attention is not very fixed on the Captain himself, but how he arrived: a huge, ornate sled. The thing is enormous, more than enough to fit the whole group, and outfitted with lavish green velvet seats. Red and black wood glistens in the afternoon light: where the heck did he get that sleigh? It looked extremely expensive, too expensive to be used at a free event. Tethered to the front is the Captain's Dragonite, which is heaving large breaths. Pulling that gigantic sleigh must have been hard, even with only one person in it.
