Senshi: Super Sailor Nemesis, Senshi of Decay
Name: Delphine Amary
Nicknames: Delph, Delphward
Age: 24
Birthday: December 6th
Sign: Sagittarius
Blood Type: O-
Fav. Food: Triple Chocolate Meltdown ICE CREAM ~
Hated Food: Broccoli
School: Crystal Academy
Hobbies: Texting, shopping (with her dad's credit card), the occasional hanging-out-with-friends deal.
Gemstone: Turquoise
Virtues:
Loyal - To her family and friends she's unfailingly loyal, and will go out of her way to defend them (whether it be verbal slander or physical harm), despite how at first she seems to only care about herself. With strangers she could, on the other hand, care less for them.
Adaptive - Delphine is quick to adjust to new situations, and can do so flawlessly. She's smart, but not by IQ standards, but by how she can react to new situations so that she remains on top of things.
Flaws:
Impatient - She likes to see results IMMEDIATELY. If it isn't 'now' she isn't pleased. If she wants something, sooner is truly better then later, and she's by no means shy enough to avoid telling whomever she's with just exactly that. Delphine can be demanding, and can seem to give little in return.
Self-absorbed - To say she's 'self-absorbed' is really just putting it nicely. She cares about numero-uno, and to those she doesn't consider her 'circle' of friends she disregards completely. She doesn't go out of her way to be mean to them, but a 'hi' will be the most you get out of her in response to a greeting.
Challenge: I'll break you down, bit by bit!
Regular Attack: NAME: Decay of Movement ("Let's slow you down, hmm?") [This attack is very rarely avoidable, but slow to causation. Small particles enter the opponents body causing temporary necrosis, which starts as little as limiting the ability to move one's fingers, gradually growing to peak at immobilizing the limbs before slowly fading away.]
Super Attack: NAME: Decay of Breath ("Decay into nothing!") [Like her first attack, just-visible particles effect the opponent and the opponents surroundings. It's quicker to effect the opposition and longer-lasting. It also now effects surroundings, causing medium-sized potholes to slow her opponent while the temporary necrosis is still working into full activation.]
Eternal Attack: Touch of Death Duration: 30 seconds for every five minutes of battle Description: After five minutes of the battle have passed, and when Nemesis shouts her power name, her hands are instantly surrounded by a soft blue glow to show that her power is active. While her hands emit the glow, anything she touches will begin to decay and continue to do so until the power becomes inactive and the glow stops. The decay is very real and extremely painful for people (and other living creatures), not to mention terrifying. Once it stops, all effects are reversed in living organisms, though people will have a nasty bruise-like feeling in the area to remind them for a few days. The rate of decay is dependent on two things: what she touches and for how long. Complex, living organisms decay at a slower rate than non-living, inanimate objects do. She might be able to crumble a park bench in half in the time it takes her to erode a small patch of skin on a negaverser. The longer anything is in direct contact with her hands, the faster the rate of decay. A simple tap of her hand against someone's skin will only cause minor irritation, a weakening of the skin and perhaps some breaking. In order for her to do more damage, her hand must rest on the area for a longer period of time.
Nemesis has no control over who or what it affects past actively trying not to touch certain people or things. The only person safe from the decay is herself – any teammates or civilians that accidentally come into contact with her hands while the power is active will be affected.

SOLONighttime Blunder (Lt. Obsidian vs. Sailor Nemesis)
She stood in front of the vanity mirror in her bathroom, running her hands underneath the sink before bringing them up to wipe her face clean of dried blood. It seemed like only her lip had been dealt some hard damage by that b*****d’s elbow, which she should be happy for, but her lip was swollen and blue, and it would be hard to explain when classes started up the next day. But really irked her was that he had hit her, he had very nearly defeated her! She could have been toast by now if she hadn’t used her ability at the last second possible.
In the end, she had been the clear victor. She had managed to paralyze him and deal back a little bit of the pain he had given her. She had protected her friend valiantly… but for some reason, while she knew it was a victory, it didn’t feel that way. Shamefully she had to run from him before her paralysis wore off, had to turn her back to the frozen man. It was really beginning to grate on her nerves, the realization that her powers were just barely holding her up in battle. If she had a weapon of some sort, maybe then she’d be more of an opponent…
Shaking her head, Delphine unbound her hair and worked her fingers through the braids. It had been more of a tie, that battle, because in the end she didn’t have the strength to finish the p***k off. Her power wouldn’t last long enough for it, and by the lurch her stomach gave at the thought of it… she wouldn’t have killed him if she had gotten the chance. Delphine had to steel herself to be stronger, because he was going to kill her if he got the opportunity, it was only right to return the favor.
A sigh was breathed into the air as she stripped out of her street clothes and into her bed-time pajamas. It’d have been easy to squash her enemy if she had helped… but she was also a prideful creature, and didn’t want to rely on anyone else if she didn’t have to. So far, she was managing just fine on her own. All she had to do was paralyze her foes, beat the crap out of them, and run away before they got a chance to regain movement. It was a fail-proof strategy, despite the limitations that were set on her power. It took a while to take effect, and when it finally did, it didn’t last long… and she hadn’t even tried to see how many times it would work, but didn’t think that in the end it would work more than once or twice. She wasn’t strong enough to back up the full force of her power…
She would work with what she had, though, and if she ever saw that guy again… she’d be sure not to hesitate so much and run away. She’d make him regret running into her again.

I Work too Hard!
She was tired, and not in that I-need-a-nap tired sort of way, but rather in the flat-out exhausted. The weekdays were the worst, when she was attending class by day and still parading around in a skirt at night, fighting god-knows-what. Sometimes she’d show up to school the next day with bruises and cuts that would make her teaches raise their brows at her. Delphine really was hoping that they didn’t get it in their heads that she was being physically or sexually abused. It’d be the most embarrassing conversation of her life, and if her brother caught wind of such a conversation happening, he’d go bat-s**t insane. Delphine was going to have to make her best effort in covering as much of herself up as she could when going to class. The weekdays really were hell, and the weekends weren’t really that much better.
Most weekends she felt uninspired to patrol. Delphine mostly spent them catching up on her school work so that her grades didn’t slip so drastically that someone would take notice. If she wasn’t exhausted to the bone from the week’s work, she’d patrol for a few hours at night, but that was it. It was difficult to dodge police AND fight youma. If it was a particularly bad night (or good depending on her mood) she’d run into one of those Negaverse idiots. She’d manage to escape each time, but that wasn’t a real victory. No, she didn’t crush her enemies in a decisive maneuver. She’d paralyze them and run like hell before SHE could get beat. It was embarrassing.
She sighed and glanced to her reflection in the mirror. Her braids were so untidy today, and she could just see the bags underneath her eyes that were a clear indication that her new occupation was taking its toll on her. Her lips curled down into a displeased frown, even as her hands lifted to try and rub the bags underneath her eyes away. It didn’t work, but she didn’t expect it to. Unfortunately, she’d have to ignore her exhaustion. The Crystal Academy student pulled on her uniform, undid and redid her braids in her best attempt to NOT look like the walking dead.
After a few more minutes of preparation, she returned to the vanity mirror in her bathroom. Delphine didn’t look any better than she had before. Indecisively, she glanced at her alarm clock, and then back to the mirror. “Screw it,” she murmured to herself. Today she was going to rest, because she needed it. It wouldn’t be that much of a big deal to miss a day of school, and she was sure one of her friends (yes, she DID have friends), would bring her the school work that she’d need to stay with the rest of the class’ pace. Sometimes she acknowledged that she had limits, and this was one of those times.
Groaning tiredly, she rubbed at her eyes and moved back to her bed, flopping heartily down on top of it. It was little surprise that she passed out within minutes. She was so tired of this.

SOLONext Time - You Go (Delphine and Khalla)
How could it be that she was STILL upset over that incident with the SAVE-THE-EARTH girl from earlier? The event had only taken place a few hours ago, but she was raging. How dare that brat throw garbage on her! She had half the mind to make her pay for it, but something made her stop short of fulfilling out her dream revenge. It was that conscience thing that she had. It was the thing that had made her help the other girl out in the first place, and its very existence seemed to have made her mad. The urges to help people were completely and totally uncontrollable. Before she couldn’t give a rat’s a** if someone else needed help, she’d just turn in the other direction and not afford a second glance. But now that she was a senshi… it was as if she felt obligated to help people. That’s what she was supposed to do, and while normally she’d rebel at being told what to do… she didn’t this time.
Delphine wanted to HELP people. Sailor Nemesis wanted to help PEOPLE. It was getting to the point where she felt bad if she didn’t do it, though if she satisfied the urge just enough it’d leave her alone for a few days. So, that was how she was going to deal with it. She’d help people a little along the way. If a youma wanted to eat them, she’d rescue them, and they better give her their undying devotion afterwards for her trouble. Senshi had a mixed up reputation still, which was mostly contributed to Sailor Nea, but… even if she shouldn’t BOTHER with helping people after what they thought of her, she would. It was stupid, but she’d do it.
Sailor Nemesis, defender of justice!
…That sounded like crap, but, it did make her smile, if only for a brief moment. Her amusement lingered just for a few seconds longer, before her face became expressionless. This really was too much trouble. The only person she truly cared about was herself, and maybe a few choice others. It was REALLY ridiculous how she could go from wanting to strangle some girl (or throw a whole heaping ton of garbage on her) to realizing she really, truly was a GOOD GUY in the end.
Delphine transformed into her sailor fuku, though not with her original intention to bury that girl in the park’s bed under 300 pounds of garbage. She was going to patrol a little bit, and vent out her frustrations on some unfortunate youma. There had to be one wandering around about here at this time of night. It never failed. There was always trouble in Destiny City – which was just perfect for her, Destiny City could very well be her ‘vent-out-all-personal-frustrations-arena’. It had a nice ring to it, anyways.

Friendship
What the ******** Amary stared in muted horror at the film playing on her television screen. Next to her, her brother was hardly containing his laughter. This totally was not Transformers 2, no, this was… some ridiculous piece of crap her brother was trying to trick her into watching. Well, she wouldn’t put up with it. “What the hell?” she turned her head to the side to give her brother a vicious glare. Damon was never going to have any of his texts answered again, she wouldn’t let him know where she was… she’d find some way to get vengeance.
“It’s ‘Friendship and You’. I’ll give you twenty bucks to watch it.” … “Fine,” she responded gruffly, and leaned back in her chair to watch the ridiculous movie. There were flowers, and happy people, and s**t that she just did not appreciate it. Yeah, she got the point, Damon, she didn’t have many friends. But that was for a reason, she didn’t want them. She had all the friends she needed, normal friends, non-senshi friends. Hell, she might even consider a senshi or two to be an acquaintance (which was something of a good note). This video would do her no good, she didn’t need more friends than she had. She didn’t need to build relationships, didn’t need to rely on other people. She hadn’t before.
“This is gay, Damon,” she muttered halfway through the movie. Delphine wasn’t even paying full attention to the screen anymore. She was more enraged than anything that her brother would think she needed to socialize more. Delphine went out; she was active enough that her family shouldn’t think she was being extremely antisocial. Of course, they didn’t know that she was going out to kill youma and fight negaversers. To them she was hanging out with friends, shopping, doing girly stuff that teenage girls should be doing.
All right, screw the twenty dollars, this wasn’t worth it. “I’m going to my room,” she announced sourly, and without further ado left the couch, stomping up to her room. The door was slammed appropriately, and Delphine dropped down onto her bed. She didn’t need friends… did she? It wasn’t like she didn’t have ANY. Delphine had a few girls and guys she treasured. They weren’t in plentiful amounts, but that was how she preferred it. Damon would pay for putting her through that.
She was… less angry, and more actually upset, in the I-may-just-cry, but not really, upset. To stun the urge, she pulled a pillow up over her face and sucked in a sharp breath. There, she was better now. It was easy to convince herself that she was fine. It was like… a little pep-talk going on in her head. Yeah, she was cool. Delphine could do this. Screw friendship. ******** you too, Damon.

SOLOYou're One Scary Senshi (Nemesis x Serandite)
Delphine stood in front of the bathroom mirror, carefully parting her hair and sifting through it with a comb. Her blue eyes were narrow with concentration, her lip forming a tight line as she methodically went through piece by piece of her hair. There weren’t any noticeable chunks missing, and for that she could be thankful. If that brat had pulled out a sizable chunk of her hair, she would have been pissed off for what remained of this year and the next. Her fight with the lieutenant had not been all that long ago. She had run off as quickly as her feet could carry her, straight back home, and the first thing she does, as expected, is check her hair.
Delphine was certain that she would have been able to beat the brat into bloody pieces, if they didn’t have the threat of a police interruption looming over their shoulders. Delphine wasn’t an inexperienced fighter, and she hadn’t even used her attack on the brat. Once that girl couldn’t move, the battle would have certainly leaned in Delphine’s favor. The girl would have been carted off to the hospital, and would know better than to mess with her, and yeah, she figured Serandite would learn not to take starseeds when Nemesis was around, either. Delphine hated unfinished battles, almost as much as she hated losing. What was infuriating was that she was certain she would have won. Her opponent was what, a girl with a rabbit for a weapon? Hah! Delphine should have been all over that battle.
But… she had stumbled, she supposed. Her fighting had definitely not been on par with what it usually was. It had been erratic, and could be called a blunder more than an actual battle. It had been a cat fight in the end – Delphine didn’t like it. Next time she’d have to keep control, keep her head screwed on straight. She couldn’t afford to do poorly when up against someone who WASN’T as weak as Serandite had been. If she pulled that stupid s**t with someone stronger, she’d be dead meat. Delphine would have to change it, the way she fought. She had to put some control in it, some stability. She wasn’t trained in any sort of proper fighting style. Delphine did what came naturally to her. If she thought now was a good time to aim a kick at someone’s gut, she did it.
There could be little predictability in her movements (though she always had the tendency to aim for someone’s face right off the bat), but Delphine didn’t exactly like it. She wanted to know what she was doing, and why she was doing it. Next time she’d just think, use her head a little more, and not let her anger catch up with her.
…Riiiiggghhttt…

SOLOFriendship and You (Delphine and Sue)
She had met another cat. She had heard of other cats, and not had the privilege (insert sarcasm) of meeting them. Delphine now knew why she wasn’t so enthusiastic over meeting other cats. The one she had met, Sue… Zue, whatever the ******** he called himself (he couldn’t seem to settle on one or the either), had been a bit of an idiot. In the end… not as bad as most of the senshi she had met were. Their meeting had ended up on a somewhat… neutral note. Of course, that had only happened after they had their fill out of yelling at each other. Really, what kind of idiot cat (who, mind you, definitely looked human more than cat), would approach a girl in a public place and say ‘Hey, do you know you’re a senshi?’ really? Even if they were secluded just a little from the rest of the people in the café, it didn’t hide the fact that Sue had taken a risk. She was sure as hell the other cats didn’t make those mistakes. Hell… weren’t cats, you know, cats from the beginning and thus had experience with these things? Clearly she had missed a few pieces in the puzzle, but she didn’t feel like tracking Sue down again for an explanation. Let the cat be, and she’d just have to take comfort in the fact that she was PRETTY sure Sue was really a cat.
If not, she was screwed.
Delphine grimaced at the thought, and tried to quiet her worry. No point in busting a nut over it. What came of it would come of it, no matter what she did. Rather, it was better to focus on the fact that the cat had basically given her permission to whip some Zodiacs into shape. It wasn’t like she’d go out LOOKING for Zodiacs, but if she did, and saw that they needed some work done… what harm would it do to instruct them? If she decided to be mean or nice in her instruction was the real question still. Delphine tended to lean towards the not-nice. She still, after having been a senshi for a little while, didn’t like many other senshi. They got on her nerves more often than not. It wasn’t that she thought she was better than the rest of them… it was just that some of them were REALLY bad. If the Zodiac senshi were as bad as the ones she was accustomed to seeing, they were in some deep s**t. Delphine would have to call ‘911-Save-The-Terrorists’.
Maybe she was being a little pessimistic; Delphine could admit that at times she could be. But really, she didn’t like what she saw with other senshi. Maybe when they all got used to it, being a senshi, they’d get better, stronger, and at least have some ******** attacks that WORKED, so that they could kick some Negaverse a**.
…Nemesis could hope.

Nemesis returned home from what could be considered one of her more boring nights of patrolling. There had not been a youma in the area, rather she had managed to find some newbie senshi… that was so much of a newb that she had no idea what she was even doing. It was ridiculous how Nemesis ended up in these situations. With a soft curse, she henshined down, flopped on her bed, and stared blandly at the ceiling. It had been a little frustrating; she had to admit, so maybe it meant that this night actually wasn’t one of the more boring ones. She had at least managed to run into SOMETHING, that something being Sailor Sirius, sailor senshi of Idiots. The girl had clearly been on some sort of power high. Hell, Nemesis had found her dancing down the middle of a street. If the girl wasn’t on a power high, she was mentally unstable, and definitely not fit to be a senshi.
Nemesis, now that she got to thinking about Sirius again, really wanted to pummel the cat that had instructed that girl. Of course, a cat could only do so much when the senshi they were dealing with was a total airhead, but it was inexcusable that Nemesis had to explain basic things to her. Nemesis didn’t even trust the girl enough to remember what she had told her. Either way, if she saw that guardian cat, she might very well express her displeasure. Nemesis didn’t want to be pestered by newbie senshi who needed their hand held throughout their first night patrolling. Nemesis didn’t want to waste her time on them, and would claim that she didn’t have time to when there were youma that needed some a**-kicking.
Sirius really had been a mess. Nemesis shouldn’t have offered to help the girl out. But really, she couldn’t let a senshi stumble around blindly for some youma to snack on, or worse, some Negaverse to get their hands on them. It was the small bit of goodness in Nemesis that encouraged her to aid Sirius, and as soon as she had offered her help the girl pounded her with question after question of stuff that she should ALREADY know. Nemesis got tired of it quickly. There were only so many questions she would answer without growing impatient, and so Nemesis had made a quick… and timely departure. She hoped never to have to run into Sirius again, in the case she got pounded with even more questions. Nemesis would rather walk away than deal with it. Avoidance was the key here.
Nemesis really hoped that all the new senshi that were being awakened weren’t THIS ******** stupid.

SOLOTwilighting (Delphward and Barnabella)
Maybe it wasn’t so bad to be nice from time to time. Of course, being nice hadn’t done anything for Delphine except put her in a good mood. She didn’t get Price’s number, so she couldn’t text him whenever she got bored. Maybe if they met again it would be more proper to ask for it. Then again… did Delphine need more friends? She had a few, close ones, and that should be enough. Besides, after her brother’s show of ‘Friendship and You’, she should be rebelling against making new friends just to rub it in his face. Hell, she should be dragging him around the mall and showing how many opportunities to make friends she ******** up. That would… be nice, she supposed.
Delphine sighed. It was dark enough out that she’d feel comfortable patrolling. Price and Minnie were long gone by now. It’d be a miracle if she ever ran into them again and made conversation. Ah, another opportunity missed. Damon would be so disappointed in her (and somehow, that thought made her even happier). The Crystal Academy student glanced around her, making sure that the ‘coast was clear’ before powering up to Sailor Nemesis. It was time to patrol, and just to be… safe, she went in the direction Price had. Might as well start over here, anyways, and if that boy had managed to find trouble she’d be able to get him out of it.
Was… this Nemesis caring?
Why yes, it was.
Nemesis wasn’t incapable of caring about other people, it was just that more often than not she chose not to. Most people annoyed her, most got on her nerves, made her upset. It was the rare few that she had decent conversation with, and usually by the end of it she still made it so that they did not like her. A large part of her didn’t want to socialize with other people, especially other senshi. Yet… still, a small part wanted to. From the few friends she had, she knew that they weren’t so bad. So… why was she so against other senshi? Nemesis didn’t have a clue – she just didn’t want to associate herself with them more than she had to.
So, like she had chose to not make friends with Price, she chose not to make friends with other senshi. It was just how it was going to be. Nemesis didn’t need to be their friends. Nemesis just needed to be able to work and cooperate with them to get the job done. That was, what she hoped, would be her level of involvement with her team. Just… stick with it until the job was done. Then she could go on her merry way, do whatever she pleased, and not be annoyed to hell by other senshi.

SOLO Corn Maze Aftermath
Delphine had to admit that something had been off about that corn maze. She had pushed it to the back of her mind as she wandered through the streets of the carnival, but when she sat down on one of the benches to eat an elephant ear it all came back to her. There had been some rather questionable going-ons, and while Delphine was willing to chalk it up to some really good theatrics and planning, what bothered her to the core was that she had tried to henshin up. Delphine should have been able to, under any circumstance, be able to power up to Sailor Nemesis. For some reason she hadn’t, she had tried, and failed. That had never happened before, and while she did admit that it had been a little foolish to try and power up in a maze of all places, to defend herself from another human (she hoped that IT had been a costume), that didn’t excuse her not being able to power up. If she tried to now, she imagined that she’d be able to.
But why hadn’t she been able to then? As soon as she had reached the center of the maze, the weird… thing that stopped her from henshing up abated and she could power up again. Something definitely had been weird about that maze, but why should she worry about it? Everything was fine now. She had been one of the first people to reach the center (and thus was entitled to bragging rights). Whatever had stopped her from powering up THEN wasn’t doing the same thing now. She could be her kick-a** senshi self whenever she wanted. The problem no longer existed… and so, really, she should let herself relax and enjoy the carnival some more before heading home. Paranormal activity SHOULD be expected. It was a goddamned carnival, and it was almost Halloween. Delphine wanted to dismiss her suspicions so she could enjoy the rest of her time here.
She had heard that there was this cool fishing game, and if she won a fish, she could give it to Damon as an early birthday present. It probably would only survive a week, but it still MEANT that she was perfectly covered for his birthday. Never mind that it was probably months away, planning ahead was one of the things Delphine rarely partook in, and when she did, she made sure to follow through with it. This carnival wasn’t turning out to be half-bad.
Normally this would have been a one-day deal thing for Delphine, but it still sat wrong with her what had happened at the maze. Maybe she’d come back tomorrow just to make sure that everything was normal, and things weren’t headed down to hell and chaos.
