Devi knew she had a lot of weak points, but she also knew that she couldn't let her weaknesses get in the way of her responsibilities as Sailor Requiem. She needed to get in shape and increase her stamina - no more running out of breath after running two or three blocks! There was another thing she needed to practice: walking and running in heels. Devi never really wore heels, but now she wore the pink heels that Elegancia had bought her long ago, trying to get the hang of things.
She was going for a jog in the park - in heels, and otherwise gym clothing - when she started to cross through the woods. She had heard bad things about the woods after the hours of 7pm, but she figured she wasn't going to face any danger that Sailor Requiem couldn't handle!
That is, until Devi saw the body of a presumably dead or unconscious man lying just off the path.
"Aw, ******** my life," Devi groaned. Danger was a foot. She looked to make sure nobody was around before transforming. "Sailor Requiem, make up!"
In her super powered form, Sailor Requiem began to scout around, looking for signs of what may have happened.
What was that?
She heard some rustling in the bushes.

Whatever Sailor Requiem had heard in the bushes made itself known rather quickly, and likely not in the way it expected. It wasn't a cute little bunny rabbit, or a lost kitten, but rather a person. Not just any person, but a senshi. She wasn't just walking out of the bushes either - rather, she had been thrown through them. Sailor Nemesis landed heavily on the ground a few yards away from Sailor Requiem, groaning with pain and clutching her side. ********, that thing had a nasty punch. It was faster than she had expected too, and while she had been convinced that it would be an easy victory going into the fight, she was now convinced that it would be a little more difficult than she had first projected. "Uggggh," she groaned again, rising to her feet as her enemy made its presence know.
It was a human-like youma, standing tall on its two feet, a creature with more eyes on its body than Nemesis could count. It had claws too, which was more than enough to make the Senshi of Decay nervous. If she had a weapon, this would have been easy. She could have paralyzed the b***h, whacked it a good one in the head, and finished it off 1, 2, 3. Instead, she was in the goddamned park, and the best she could find was a rock or a twig, which she thought would be pretty damned useless against a youma.
...
Wait a second.
"Are you going to help or just stand there staring?" Of course, Nemesis had just noticed Requiem. The girl was definitely a senshi, one that looked a little fresh on the scene. Right now, though, Nemesis would take any help she could get. If that meant she was going to throw the girl in front of her as a shield, well... it was possible if the girl proved to have no other use.

"Well not if you're going to be a b***h about it," Sailor Requiem retorted. She noticed her immaturity. She didn't care very much. This chick didn't seem to have the patience for her - but then again, there a <******** monster right <******** there. Perhaps helping out wouldn't be such a bad idea.
She stretched out her arms to both sides forming a T-shape and then clapped her hands together in front of her, the tips of her fingers aimed at the monster as she shouted, "Requiem Coffin!"
And with that, the monster became trapped in a coffin.
"Like that was so hard?" she boasted in attempt to one-up the impatient Senshi. Now, if only there was a way to defeat the monster instead of just capture it...

"If you're going to be a brat, I don't think I want your help," Nemesis retorted, just as immature in some sense. Really, all she wanted was a little ******** help, she didn't want it to come with one hell of a lippy attitude. Nemesis was about to write off Requiem completely, but despite her words the other senshi seemed intent on aiding her. Maybe seeing a youma had the girl reeling to defend herself. Well, if it protected Nemesis at the same time, she wasn't going to protest it.
The youma was trapped within the coffin, and Nemesis could clearly hear it pounding on the inner walls. Well, s**t son, the other senshi had actually done something right! "Well, now if you have a match or something, we can call this a day..." Wait a second. She stared at Requiem for a few long moments. "Let me guess..." she sucked in a sharp breath, "You have nothing else up your sleeve besides trapping the god-be-damned youma?"
Great, just ******** great, Nemesis could have prevented it from attacking them too! They needed to finish it off, not keep it trapped in a coffin for a few minutes. "Fuuuccck," she hissed, frantically looking around for something to use. A rock would have to do. As soon as that b***h was out of its prison, she was going to bash its head in. "Now would be a good time to tell me how long that lasts for, or what you usually do to finish these buggers off after you use your attack...
You have used it before, haven't you?" She somehow doubted it.

"Oh, what, do you not have any powers to help in this situation?" she spat back. "Just going to blame me? I just saved your a**, so don't be such a b***h whore-face!" Arguing was not one of her strong suits, usually her angry rants just turned into a random compilation of cusses.
"Usually I uh," she had to think. The first time she used her power, she just ran away. The second time, she ended up capturing her teammates. Those experiences were best to be left out. "We can beat up the coffin. It breaks easily from the outside. But it won't be long before it opens, so we should ******** hurry and find something to hit it with."
Sailor Requiem looked around, but didn't see any nearby object that was large enough to do anything. Except maybe the dead man's boots. She was used to being near the dead - her family owned a funeral parlor and it recently opened a taxidermy service - but she wasn't comfortable with the idea of taking clothing off a dead body, it would feel like looting. Last resort.
"You see anything?"

"I actually use my abilities with a little more tact. You should learn it, and figure out what you're going to do before you use your own goddamn attack!" It was actually pretty solid advice, but coming from a bitchy-as-hell senshi, it was unlikely that anyone would actually listen to the lesson she was imparting on them. For all the rough and brutal fights she had gotten into, Nemesis usually preserved her attack for when she absolutely needed to use it. It was her last-resort, the one fail proof way she could get out of a situation if she had to.
"What the ******** is attacking the coffin going to do, break it open more easily so the damned thing can get out?" It seemed like a waste for effort, and even more-so, it looked like they would be helping the youma instead of defeating it. Nemesis knew she should have done things her own way, she should have told the senshi to run like the pansy a** that she was. "I've got a rock, which is about as good as it gets out here. It'd be better if I had drawn it into the city where I could find something to actually hurt it with."
She had no idea what attacking the coffin would do, but she was going to work on blind faith on this one. If that didn't pan out, Sailor Requiem was so going to be her next victim. Sailor Nemesis rushed the coffin, striking at it with her large stone in hand, hoping to hell it did something other than let the creature out sooner.

"Well, forgive me but I'm a little new to thi---" Sailor Requiem was interrupted by the crashing sound of the coffin cracking to Nemesis's forceful blow. The wood of the coffin cracked and punctured the monster inside, impaling it deeply in the shoulder, but letting it free.
"Aw, ********, its still up," she groaned. This meant she was going to have to handle this the hard way - the way Sailor Requiem has yet to really learn how to handle anything. "So do we just punch and kick at it? Or...?"
Sailor Requiem scratched her head, only giving fodder to the other girl's impatience with her.

"A little new to this?" Oh god, she had known it. Nemesis was paired up with a newbie, someone who still needed a little guidance in battle. Nemesis had been paired up with a handicap. She'd have to watch Requiem's back as well as her own (because deep down Nemesis was a good person, really deep down). "Jesus ******** christ, I might die tonight." It was a little bit of an overstatement, but she did not pass up the chance to make someone feel just a little bit worse about themselves.
She jumped back as the wood of the coffin caved underneath her punch. Ah, it had actually did something! Nemesis would give Requiem a few brownie points for not misleading her, but Requiem still had a huge deficit to make up by this point. "Now I'll show you how to properly use your attack... Decay of breath!" The ground around their feet began to decay, creating small, infrequent, pot-hole sized indents in the ground. Not only that, but the youma's movements already were beginning to slow down.
"Take this!" she tossed the stone to Requiem, rushing the youma with an eager fist. Its arms had slowed by a halt by the time she had honed in on it, her fist landing squarely into the youma's face. "HURRY UP!"

Sailor Requiem dropped the rock. Catching wasn't quite a strong suit either. But hopefully Sailor Nemesis didn't notice her failure. She quickly picked up the rock and hurried over to the youma. Now, what to do with it? She began to beat its skull with the rock repeatedly, as if hammering in a nail. Each time she swung her arm she would shout, "Die! Die! Die!"
This was about as close as she has ever gotten to fulfilling her fantasy of killing a zombie in a badass way. Except in her fantasy it was a zombie apocalypse. She had some ******** up fantasies.
"Die! Die! Die! Die!" she shouted, continuing to club the youma's head with the rock.

Holyshit, Nemesis needed to call the psych ward, and inform them that she had found an escaped patient. It was Nemesis' little way of saying that Requiem was kicking a** in those last few moments of the battle. The girl attacked with such viciousness that almost made Nemesis proud. It was something she would do, bash the youma's head in before it regained its movement. Truthfully, the creature did not match up to the combined strength of Sailor Nemesis and Sailor Requiem.
The paralysis had worn off, and the youma crumpled to the earth, turning to dust at their feet. "I will give you some credit for that," Nemesis said with a curl of her lip. It was as close to a compliment that anyone would ever get out of her. "But, next time, you don't have to go overboard. You bashed its head in good enough within the first two or three blows." Awww, look, she was even giving advice!
Damn, Nemesis must be in a good mood tonight.

"I might have overdid it, but it was fun," she laughed lightly. "Its like in Grand Theft Auto, you may have killed the hooker, but that doesn't stop you from beating the body with a baseball bat!"
Or maybe that stopped most people from pulling out the baseball bat. Or maybe most people wouldn't kill the hooker. Or maybe most people wouldn't play the game at all. It was very possible that she was in the minority here.
She looked at her hands. Bloodied filth. It grossed her out. She didn't mind the gore - she minded that it was on her. She needed to clean up a bit. She knew there was a stream somewhere not far away. "I'm Sailor Requiem, Senshi of Burial, by the way."
She was about to look for the stream when she remembered the body. "Should we do anything about that body?"

"...Well, I guess I see your point." She really didn't. Nemesis had never played Grand Theft Auto before, but she had heard of it, so it was just enough for her to allow that analogy to slide past her usual bitchy attitude. Her gaze glanced to the body, a frown curving the edges of her lips downwards. ********, something had done its job tonight, and whether it was the youma she just dusted or not, she did not know.
"Don't touch the body, someone will find it tomorrow and take care of it. It's not our mess to really clean up, and you can never be too careful these days." She was still being relatively nice, despite how she had first come off as to the other senshi.
Did she want to introduce herself? Not really. Did she do it anyways? Yes.
"I'm Sailor Nemesis, Senshi of Decay. That's all you really need to know. You should get the hang of this youma-dustin' in a little while..." It was clear she didn't want to stick around for too long. She was done patrolling for the night, her energy had been sapped. There was still the arduous task of making it home before her parents noticed that she had ever left. "If you don't, it's your fault for not picking it up quicker before you get killed."

"I hope I get a hang of it soon," she said. She wasn't totally comfortable with the idea of leaving the body just lie there, but she trusted Sailor Nemesis's judgment enough. She seemed to be a pro, and Requiem wasn't going to question her decision. But still, she was so used to caring for the dead that the idea of leaving a body lie there was unsettling to her.
"I should clean up and get home, my parents are going to start getting worried soon," she said, looking for an excuse to run away from her guilt about doing nothing for the body.
"And uh, thanks," she started as she backed away. "For you know, the advice and stuff."

"That's probably a good idea, the last thing you want is to be grounded, and to let more people end up like him," and she gestured to the body crudely. Nemesis protected what lives she could, but the ones that she couldn't save, she tried not to let the guilt overwhelm her. Sometimes there just wasn't anything you could do for them. If the people wanted to survive, they wouldn't wander around alone where youma could get to them. Destiny City was not a safe place anymore.
"You're welcome, I guess all of us need a little advice now and again." She shrugged her shoulders, glancing once to the body before beginning to walk away. "Good luck, y'know, with keeping alive!' She made it sound as if she didn't think Requiem could do it. Maybe it would inspire the girl to prove her wrong. Nemesis sure hoped so, they really needed all the senshi they could get to protect this city, and despite how ******** annoying most of the newbies were... they did their job to take out the small guys, and leave the big ones to the senshi that were more capable of handling it.
