There doesn't seem to be any danger, this part of the forest isn't known for wild animals or any animals at all. Under normal circumstances that would surely be reason to turn back but you're an adventurer! Surely you've brought a weapon with you-- oh, you haven't? Failed the "always be prepared" test, then, didn't you? Quite all right, you'll do just fine as long as you don't follow any small creatures that-- oh bother! ============Merit PostThe Otter Oasis belongs to Luminous Imp. The line art was done by SpazzyKoneko and line art edits/coloring were done by Luminous Imp unless otherwise noted, such as Keiran who was colored by Khomi before Luminous Imp took over the shop. The banners were made by anemosagkelos, using a stock photo found on stock.xchng and is owned by biewoef. The brush used was downloaded from deviantArt and was made by Sanami276. The texture, though it can't be seen really in the graphic, was made by xjust_a_girlxx. The text in the banner was made up off the top of my head. Obviously the introductions were written by me and are just for fun, no offense intended.There is a place, far from here, that looks like a field of golden peace, where I go often to hide my face and seek comfort from the wind.
It seems to me the best touch that ever feels my skin for there is no string, no consequence, just soft brushes of cold.

Personality: Keiran is a wise old otter that has never really had much in the way of socialization. He's been in the Oasis so long that often times he thinks of himself as the only genuine resident of the area that belongs there. He doesn't care for others encroaching upon his home and being that he raised himself more or less, he's never been taught much about sharing. He's a solitary otter most of the time, blessed with wisdom but with a haughty air that makes it unlikely anyone would stand to be around long enough to find out what he knows. He doesn't mean to be rude but he finds it hard to trust anyone. He really does care about the Oasis, about those who enrich it, but he has trouble showing that. The fact that he has become a werewolf hardly helps.
As a wolf, Keiran is no less wise. However he is more vicious and more likely to play games with the minds of those around him. He does not think he is invincible but as a predator he knows he has a fair chance of cutting down those that attempt to fight him. He has no delusions of wishing to rule the Oasis or enslave those lesser than him. He does have a pack mentality, those that he deems worthy are more or less adopted into a family (whether they know it or not) and he will protect them at all costs. He has a much bigger, carnal appetite as a wolf and is not at all squeamish or hesitant to kill. Despite all of this new found strength, he is at heart a strategist and his otter-self can be pulled forward by familiar scents, making him less likely to kill those he has met (at least if he doesn't abhor them). Overall he is adjusting to the transformations and at first is a bit clumsy and more prone to rage.iv. Personality: Samuel, commonly called Sam or Nathan (not Sammy or Nate--strange things happen to those that do), is a relaxed boy. (With his sisters, his sanity probably would have snapped if he wasn't!) He has a rather high tolerance for the antics of his sisters--although he draws the line at being dressed up in girl's clothing. He tends to make sarcastic remarks about life being better if he'd been lucky enough to end up entirely with brothers but he wouldn't trade his family for anything.
He tends to be a jovial fellow, always smiling, which he uses to his advantage. He isn't opposed to making remarks that are insults or offensive but he does it in a way that others think he's joking. Because of his jovial nature and his appearance for making jokes, he isn't considered a threat. In fact, most would probably challenge him to anything because he couldn't possibly win. And he will play that up. He's quite good at thinking and looking ahead, making it easy to appear to be losing only to end up winning or achieving a draw. In order to maintain his "fool" persona, he brushes it off as luck and even should he lose, he is a good-sport about it. He is a generous boy, usually only wanting things for his family rather than himself.
He doesn't hold grudges or make snap decisions about others. Unless someone has done something truly awful to his family, he'll judge them on their own merit. Although in the end he may end up drawing the same conclusion. He has a belief in being fair although since he isn't inclined to reveal his hand it can be a somewhat warped sense of fairness. In anger, Samuel becomes rigid and waspish. He might say something rather stupid but he avoids doing anything insanely stupid. He'll often resort to simply being brutally honest--though it's debatable whether he means to do so or not.
At heart, Sam enjoys adventures as long as they don't take him away from his family for too long. He isn't opposed to gambling or drink but will only partake in them to a limit, never enough to get in trouble or drunk. He's deathly afraid of storms.iv. History...Prior to the Oasis: Not Available
