ღ Lani Fen Alietta - though he much prefers Lan.
ღ Twenty years young - almost too young to be a parent.
ღ A chef, though he used to perform in a traveling circus.
ღ its their personality that matters, not whats in their pants.
ღ Appearance wise.....
Lan, as far as appearances go, does look like he definately come from somewhere outlandish to say the least. Not so much in his clothing, but in his hair and eyes. He was originally born with ebony black tresses, that now fall a bit below his shoulders when he lets it all down. He dyed golden streaks into, though hes now considering an electric blue for kicks. Lans hair usually stays in a spiky bun at the nape of his neck, or in the middle, depending on where he wants it that day. its rarely ever down, but when it is it sticks out in all different directions towards the end. His eyes are a deep gold amber color, with flecks and shards of green here and there. He was graced(orcursed) with long legs, and stands at a measly 5' 9" barely reaching six feet. His father gave him his legs and body build, which is slim and boy-ish, yet not overly muscular, and his mother gave him his eyes and curiousity, or so the nanny said.
Lan does seem rather boyish in the way he sort of sits(slumps) and sleeps. Lan has long feet along with his long legs, and he is usually almost always finds something to trip over with them. Lan is quite casual in the way he dresses and prefers summer and autumn clothing more so then formal clothing. Scarves and turtlenecks during the cold and rainy days, and tanktops and shorts during the sunny days with the ever so occasional flip flops or boots. Infact, Lan loves cowboy boots, and rainboots. Its odd, but its true. He doesnt like tennishoes in general, and absolutely hates tight black heels, and all that jazz. Just give him flipflops and sandals and he'll be good. Lan only ever really looks in his closet when he has to dress up. And usually thats not often. The only things he usually constantly wears is a checkered orange and white bandana and a choker from the circus back home.

But personality wise....
Down to earth. It would have to be the one perfect description of Lan. At most times anyways. He has quite the imagination, though he is able to keep two feet on the ground while blowing ideas out of his mind. Creative and thoughtful, he brings paintings to life with strokes of his brush and can cook up a storm in the kitchen if inspiration strikes. But even then, he is still not the dreamer everyone thinks he might be. Instead, hes just the thinker no one expected him to turn out like. When hes not screaming and panicking, hes considering his own thoughts and trying to make sense out of it all. Lan has always tried to think things through, but sometimes his heart out-weighs his minds decision and he takes off without a second thought, not stopping to think about the consequences before jumping into a new adventure. Lan is also a very laidback person, whos easy to talk and get to know if you just give it time. He loves to converse with others and sip yogurt through straws. Then again, wierd traits are one of the very valuable things you get for living with the circus for so long.
His passion is for painting and cooking, and he loves to keep the kitchen looking good. He wasnt very good at cooking at one point in his life, and at the age of ten he almost gave it up. But then he was helped along and was finally able to start cooking well. Now he works at a local cafe that gets a variety of customers to serve. The staff is a family one in its own. Lan loves to make people happy through giving them a bite to eat that tastes good even though their day may have been horrible. His heart is always being poured out into every one of his dishes - no matter how cheesy that could sound to others. As for painting, Lan has already painted almost every single one of his walls back home at the condo atleast a different shade. He enjoys scenery and hates trying to draw maps though he did one of Amies on the upstairs stretch of empty wall, and had one hell of time doing that with the bottle that is now Krinn.
Even though he isnt as lovable to animals as Krinn is, he is infact obsessive about books. He loves them. Its like....the funnest thing for him to sit down after a long day and just read. He keeps them on low bookshelves in his room, along with small stacks in various places just waiting to be picked up and read. It doesnt really matter what type of book he reads as long as it has a good storyline. Lan loves to travel, but hes done it so much in his earlier days that now he needs a break from it. Thus, he has settled down in Amies. Lans sense of adventure is never off and hes always ready to take one on, even if he doesnt know what it'll bring.
Lan dislikes very few things, though one of which happens to be needles, and syringes. They make him...jumpy. He also dislikes white places, like hospitals. They are probably the only two things that will make him visibly irritable and unhappy to be talking, and or being at the place in which the object or color is. Other then that, Lan comes off as a rather flexible guy, who doesnt have enough time on his hands for much. Infact, hes almost always rushing to get things done.
When it comes to his past, Lan has quite a few good stories up his sleeve for the matter of what had happened when he was young. He actually really never knew his parents. Lan is quite the wellworn traveler, ever since he was three. Lan only knew his parents for a brief few moments before he was taken away by the maid while they burned in a fire set to his house a very long time ago. Lan cant really mourn because he never actually knew them. For three grand years he lived at a small home with the maid, but then, when the travel circus came through town, he was amazed, and adopted by them because his old maid was beginning to whither and would be gone soon enough, sadly. When he was four he said goodbye to his only actual family and was swept away by the troupe. Two years later, he came back for the funeral and bid the old woman a farewell for the final time. Lan cooked quite a lot seeing as no one other then two people on the traveling place were able to and learned skills from the wellworn chef who took a fond liking to him.
Other then cooking, Lan learned how to paint and when putting on shows, he usually performed things like tightrope walking or acrobatics. He was never good at learning how to breathe fire and stayed away from that of course. Lan was very very fond of his patched family of cirque people and wouldnt have left him at all if he hadnt started having odd feelings in his gut every day. He would wake up and feel like something was missing, or he just wasnt doing something right. So after the second month of feeling like that, Lan packed his bags and said he'd be back eventually when he figured himself out. After all, he had always just been hiding behind the glamour of the circus. Time to go on a little excursion, ne? So Lan packed his bags on his nineteenth birthday, stayed one more day for a party, and left to go find a home for a little bit.
Then he found Amies and well...he fell in love with the city. It was just what he was looking for for a bit of settling down. Soon enough he had bought an apartment and sort of adopted a second family in Amies. Of course, he attempts keeping track of his old friends from the troupe by way of messenger birds. Now, hes working half time at a small cafe that earns him good money. The owner of the cafe and his daughter are practically Lans second family and would do anything for him pretty much. Willow is ten, and loves to gossip with and make Lan buy her new things. Jeckal is the owners son, and the is Mr. Madison, and even though he seems young, hes old enough to have a daughter and no wife. Lan is just waiting to uncover the story behind that, and Willow seems fine talking about her mother, even though shes gone. Other then that, Lan has recently adopted Sonare, or Sona, his own black and white and brown tabby cat. Sona was the one who helped him find the bottle, which was what made him curious as to what the bottle was. The cat seemed to take a liking to him and has been with him ever since.

✖ No preference, mostly 'cause he doesnt know what love is at all.

✖ Raincloud - atleast, thats what it looks like as far as what dust was used.
Krinn is a rather lighthearted person, but his moods switch like the essence he was made of. Krinn is intelligent, even though sometimes he rushes in too quick to understand things as they are. Thus leading to a lot of reflection afterwards on his part - and a lot of trouble on Lans. He can be rather curious, indulging in the odd things that the world has shown to him so far. Krinn has a big appetite, and usually likes dessert more then anything else. He has adapted a taste for sweet yogurt like his guardian, and sometimes they sit out slurping it and playing monopoly on hot days. His sense of adventure is never off and hes usually trying to find something hidden or new, just imagining whats out there. Lan always has a hard time keeping track of him, but the two seem to get along just fine. Krinn is also rather hardworking, thus his need to help around the shop. He loves being near animals and nature, though hes not quite sure. But his heart seems to hold a very soft spot for animals, which means he wont be leaving the pet shop anytime soon.
Of all the things Krinn likes, it has to be bubble bathes, animals, dessert, and the rain that he loves the most. Hes rather picky though on a lot of things, and likes to learn as fast as he can and take in new information instead of waiting until hes "old enough." Well, Lan always preached to him of how curiousity killed the cat. Though Krinn wonders how Lan can use that when Sona is so curious and yet still alive. The dust child is growing into a fine young man, though he still needs to learn a billion more lessons before hes even close to acting as an adult would. Though hes alright with not growing right away. Being a kid is nice, to say the least.
For all of his emotional whakiness, and constant mood swings, Krinn is rather laidback in the art of conversation. He gets along with most others, and usually tries not to be picky about who he talks to. Of course, he is quick to say the obvious and sometimes gets in trouble for it. He constantly nags Lan about his girly hair and asks questions that are sometimes meant more for grownups then for kids. Krinn has been taught some manners from Lan, and even through some of the guardians protests, still swears whenever given the chance. He has adopted the old man at the petshop as his "grandpa old man" and Lan as his "guardian." He likes to hang out down at the docks with Lan, and also on the balcony. He loves to meet new creatures at the petshop, as well as new people at the cafe.
Krinn loves the rain, and is drawn outside whenever it decides to pour down. Lan always has trouble finding him, but eventually he does - or Krinn comes back. He likes getting soaked, and even more so, seeing the clouds after the rain has disappeared. The one place he wants to return to is the tower in the field that Lan took him one time with Dasity. It had a wonderful view of the sky - which Krinn admires to an extent, as well as a wonderful place to view the rain.

and i'll be your home ...  ♥♥ the [ Apartment ]»» The apartment consists of various different spaces Lan has taken the time to renovate, and decorate to his fancy.
☆☆The living room ;; Just inside the door to his apartment lies the living room. This place is painted with oranges and deep, earthy reds that make it even more lively when Lan gets off his butt and lights fires in the fireplace - which is made of bricks and fits in just as well with the color and the way the room is styled. Near the fireplace is a low to the ground clear glass table, which Lan went out of his way to buy. behind that is a couch, and two beanbags which make for a cozy sleeping area when one cant quite make it up the stairs. Near this is the entrance to the kitchen, and a small bar that connects the two rooms. There are three stools infront of the bar as well, which helps a bit for when Lan has guests over.
☆☆ Kitchen ;; Simple and plain. The kitchen has only been added to with ingrediants and utinsels. Lan cooks in there all the time, so dont be surprised to find him there when you're visiting. Lan enjoys being in the kitchen, and keeps it clean most of the time unless hes experimenting. This is a place that is sleek and fit yet simple and not very hard to manuever around when trying to get from point a to point b.
☆☆ Main Bathroom ;; Lan has furnished this up with earthy tones, and enjoys soaking in his bathtub in there after a long day of work. Lan also has a bunch of fluffy towels ready for use and enjoys getting ready in there in the morning. Its rather spacious, so Lan doesnt mind taking bathes in there at all. Claustrophobia does that to a man.
☆☆ Upstairs hallway ;; Ah, yes, the upstairs hallway. You might be wondering whats so special about that. Well, Lan drew a giant map of Amies across it and is now marking wherever is important to him. Odd isnt it? But quite beautiful as well. Lan doesnt like anyone that scratches up his paint, so you'd better not mess with the wall upstairs. Hes also made paintings on the doors and created a cirque like theme around the house, including the upstairs. Currently on the map is a cat for Sona, the menu for the cafe, the cloud for the odd bottle he found, and an arrow and a heart for his apartment.
☆☆ His Bedroom ;; Ooooooh. Finally an interesting part. This has to be where he stays a lot of the time other then outside or the kitchen. Lan has made his bedroom similiar to the sort-of-bedroom he had with the traveling troupe. He s a low to the ground bed that has comfortable pillows and blankets. His walls are painted with black squares and intricate rainbow patterns weaving inbetween them all around the room. This took the longest for Lan. He also has a small table infront of his bed and a stand next to his bed for a candle and some books for his sleepless nights. Lately the bottle has been staying there as well. He doesnt have much in his room because he likes keeping it simple.
☆☆The Balcony ;; Outside of the bedroom lies a circular like balcony with ivy wrapping around the worn metal ledge. Lan has two chairs out on the balcony so he can sit there whenever he feels like it. This is sort of a place for a small plant keeping section and Lan has a few plants outback, three of which are hanging from the small ledge coming off the side. He also has bleeding hearts and lilies growing. Lan loves lavender, so hes planted some of that with strawberries as well out there. This is kind of like the peaceful getaway within the house, so if you cant find Lan in his bedroom or the kitchen, you should try looking here. ♥♥ the [ Cafe ]
The cafe has three main places, the kitchen, the actual seating area and dining area, and the bar. Now the kitchen is much larger then the one Lan has at home, so he enjoys being in there and making food whenever given the order though sometimes the girls can get a bit rough and work him to the bone just to get some good food for the customers. The kitchen holds a large number of different food, and Lan usually cooks with all of it everyday. Outfront where the customers sit, its quite quaint and lovely. The cafe is serene and has many windows, giving a natural effect to the entire room. There is also outside seating, with umbrellas and shade as well. This is nice for spring and summer when the cherry trees above the tables and outside the cafe blossom and appeal to the customers. The bar is simple as well, and even though shes only ten, Willows almost always swiveling in a chair whenever she is around the cafe, eating icecream she forced Lan to make her. The bar is circular and looks like a half moon as well. There is a wall of different liquors behind it, of which the bartender usually sees to and Lan never goes near. He has a sweettooth, not a liquor obsession. more will be added in later as the journal entries progress.

Shes kind of odd, and hes not sure whether to be intrigued or completely intimidated. Lans not into girls so much, so even though he thinks shes pretty, her still isnt into her much. He sees her more as an older sister. He enjoys her company as of now, and thinks they may get along well. As for Sable, hes still unsure of the girl. She seems nice enough, and Lan hopes that she and Krinn get along okay seeing as hes letting Krinn go off with the girl.Krinn thinks.... ;;Sables interesting. He likes exploring with her but hasnt really talked to her much and wonders what shes like other then the fact that she loves to explore. He enjoys getting into trouble, and Sable seems like the perfect partner in crime. As for Mia, hes only talked to her once and doesnt really know what to think. Perhaps shes interesting. Though shes a friend of Lans so he doesnt know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. »» Marijus && CadaLan thinks.... ;; As far as he knows, Marijus is pretty interesting. His accent throws Lan off guard sometimes so he tries to keep up whenever the other man speaks. He isnt sure whether or not the guy perverted or not, from what hes heard. He looks pretty trustworthy though, and Krinn cant make many assumptions just yet because hes only really served the man some cake and had a small chat with him. As for Cada, Lan thinks hes a rather adorable in a kid sense. Hyper active and just what Krinn needs to level out his own insanity. Lans hoping the two will get along and not drive him nuts one of these days.Krinn thinks.... ;;He thinks that Cada is cool. At first he wasnt so sure if he was to like the other or not, but once they started talking he realized it was a nice new friend to have. Hes only talked to the other once, so he doesnt know much about him yet, but he was a fun person to hang around and Krinn wouldnt mind sharing some gossip about the things they talked about last time and whatever he finds out later on to Cada. As for Marijus, hes kind of weary, wondering what kind of man the man really is. All in all, Hymn was the one who helped him out the most so far in coming to terms with who he was pretty much. Krinn finds Hymn to be more like a mysterious older brother then anything else really, and always finds himself asking questions when hes around the other. Or just playing around for that matter. Krinn always wonders when the strange enigma will appear again, and sometimes wishes he would so that he could have something to do with someone who knows how to make things happen. So far, Krinn doesnt know much about Sojo, nor has he met the other.
