A hooded figure sat on the edge of the dark wooden planks in the docks of Amies. The sun finally awakened and covered the city in a warm golden color, it was a new day. Many of the residents were already fully awake and ready to open their stores as well as to do their everyday rituals, anyone could easily infer that the town was evidently a town of life and celebration. Celebration especially for today. For it was an extra special time for the townspeople. This time of the month was a day of devotion and glorification for the gods who looked after the human race, the givers of life, nourishment and happiness.

Thinking about this, the cloaked man bowed his head a little, finding the celebration painfully ironic.

Pulling his raven colored cloak, he straightened up his mask which covered the upper part of his face, leaving two slits for his eyes to see. A white colored scarf was wrapped around his mouth and neck, leaving his face entirely unseen. But still, he had to be careful no one would see him, because his pale blue skin was obviously not human.

"Aye! Over there!" a gruff man shouted from a distance, motioning to the hooded man.
"What are ye doing here? It's time for us tah leave for the mainland, or are ye coming with us, stranger?" he practically shouted with his thick Ardyan accent.

"No, sir." he said with a smooth voice which was muffled by the thick scarf on his mouth. "I shall go now."

As the man walked away the large fisherman dropped the large crate and nets he was carrying, and approached the stranger who was now walking away to the town. "Wait! Who might you be? I've never seen ye around here before."

"I'm sure you haven't, kind sir." he stopped in his tracks, and without turning to the man he whispered, "...I am Aren."

The sun then emerged completely and its rays gently caressed Aren's body. The thick clouds danced in the light blue sky as the sun radiated it's warmth. It's as if the morning sky was signifying something great that was going to happen.

Another day.

Just like usual, Silver had been up bright and early - with his backpack on his back, and the bottle in it. He had been headed to the forest to continue his search, but the festivities where slowing his path down quite significantly, and eventually he had to give an halt to his moving around because the streets where already too crowded. Maybe later.

He went to the harbor by reflex, and perched himself on one of the crates, waiting for what would be inevitable - one of the men there would recognize him sooner than later. Thinking about it, maybe they could help him out...

"Aye, wanderer !"

There we went.

"Back for the festivities are ye, uh ?"

"I guess you could say." The accent surprised him sometimes. Silver was from this very city, and while people from the other place he visited did say he had a slight accent, but no-where as thick as the one the sailors processed. Gray eyes picked up Aren instantaneously, if only because he was covered head to toe, and one eyebrow rose sightly.

"Ye gonna give us an hand today den boy ?"

Silver shrugged. "Maybe. I have a question first."

"Shoot, den, boy !"

"I've found a bottle recently, and I was hoping to track down it's artisan, but I had no luck in the streets... I figure it might be imported. Got any shipments of that ?

"Glass bottle, eh ? Ah think not, wanderer. Ye would know better dan I..."

... enter marijus ...

Marijus had done everything in his power to shake this cold but it just didn't seem to want to let him go. Almost caressing him like a lover's embrace. He shivered. It wasn't particularly cold out, the usual chill from the sea breeze but he was used to it by now.

Though not a native of Amies he'd been raised in this city for quite a while and anyone who lived here had to get used to the weather. With a hip pouch at his side, he had tucked his bottle carefully within. Wanting to investigate further the strange mist that had enveloped it. Becca hadn't been able to see it, so he wondered who else suffered the same?

Treking down the streets for all of five mintues before he had to detour his way through excited shop owners, decoration crews and other assortment of persons; Marijus found himself at the harbor. Ships were docking for the celebration, bringing with them imports from other parts of the world. Hopefully this years celebration would turn up a better show of exotic ladies. He smirked at the thought, reaching in one of many pockets that decorated his cargo pants and pulled out his flask. Though this time it was filled to the brim with some cough serum; and maybe just a little liquor.

Taking a drink he was content to just stand idly until his ears perked up at an offhand conversation.

"I've found a bottle recently, and I was hoping to track down it's artisan, but I had no luck in the streets... I figure it might be imported. Got any shipments of that?"

Screwing the cap to his flask, Marijus turned abruptly looking for the voice. When he saw the boy talking to the sailor his nose crinkled with irritation. Why was that kid asking about bottles? Could it be...? Curious for some answers, Marijus took a few strides then a few more, he stopped short just as more irritants tickled his nose and a sneeze was the result. "Aye... boy." He called pulling a handkerchief from his pocket to rub his nose. "What yae be knowin' 'bout some bottles? Nae just a bit curious." His strange brogue was different from the sailors, foreign to some degree. Marijus was hard pressed for some answers, usually unhappy when a puzzle went unsolved for too long.

"Go and observe the human guardians, Aren."

That's what the goddess Aevah had told him to do. It was Aren's first time in the city of Amies and away from the Whi forest and his dear goddess.. and frankly, this made him sick to his stomach. Being in this new world terrified him a bit. Regaining his posture, he glanced at the docks, now the people he saw earlier were really getting more busy as compared to a couple minutes ago. Peculiar humans, they live such a fast lifestyle.

Bringing his hand to his face he had a serious expression beneath all that cloth. He thought of the demons, Ozara and all the things that his goddess explained to him. If the demons found out where the Dust bottles where, they would definitely try to take them and destroy the last remaining speck of hope for humanity. He could not let that happen, he was convinced that he was the one to lead the dusts, to be their mentor and explain to them what they were made for, their meaning in life. And hopefully they would have a chance against the dark force.

Then he felt a certain coldness in his back, a shock of energy that made him jump and come back to reality.

"What...", he looked behind him. There was nothing out of the ordinary at all, just....humans.

No, but it wasn't just nothing. Could it be that the guardians were close by?

He ducked into a dark corner, prepared to wait and observe if the guardians were indeed nearby.

She had left her home early, as always. She loved greeting the new day, and today was no exception. In fact, the knowledge of what day it was made it even more reason to be up early. After all, she would probably be needed later. Scatter-brained and small Leonore was, but helpless she was not. Her training growing up had led to her being quite strong and agile for her size. She wrapped the pale yellow cloak she wore about herself. She was still getting used to the chill that came from living near the sea, after a year in the town.

But the smell and feel of the wind...She loved it. In her opinion, the cool sea wind was better than the balmy winds of the monastery and river-port town she'd grown up in. Something about it was just...she couldn't put her finger on a word for it. She'd figure it out later. Maybe she could put it to song or dance later. Probably dance. She would have to find people willing to drum, or play pipes, or just any instrument would do.

She stretched a moment, the cloak falling back to reveal the pale yellow and blue clothes beneath that left her shoulders bare, leaving the pale blue cloud tattoo on her right shoulder in plain view. She then drew the fabric around her once more and walked towards the harbor. There would certainly be work for her to do there. Or new people to meet. One never knew.

It took a moment for Silver to try and decode what the man that had approached him was saying - Amiesan accent was pretty much an innate decoding from working with the sailors for time to time, but this was new. People calling him boy did not bother him - the sailors did it all the time, especially the older ones, and he did look a bit younger than he actually was.

Still, his instincts told him to be careful for now. The bottle was special - doubtlessly some people might try to steal it from him if they learnt of it's existence, even more so if they figured out that it was on his person right at this moment. He was growing more and more pocessive of the bottle as days passed, but the chocolate-skinned man didn't exactly notice, or at least didn't seem to bothered by it. It was an odd mystery he wanted to get to the bottom of, while taking the least risks possible.

"It's a bottle." Silver shrugged a bit. "I found it during my travels, and it was unlike anything I've ever seen before. Some amazing quality and craftsmanship, it got me curious. That's about it, really. What would you know about that ?" Silver didn't leave his perch on the crates, but watched Marijus with interest.

Mulling over in his head if he believed the other or not it wouldn't have mattered much, Marijus wasn't very trusting. Though he couldn't bypass the idea that someone other than himself was curious about the makeshift of a bottle. He'd bet his money pouch there was more to this person than he let on. But experience told him being forceful wouldn't get the results he was looking for.

"Aye, amazing quality indeed." He muttered his tone sounding a bit superior. Again he reached for his flask from one of many pockets and guzzled its contents down his throat before turning emerald orbs on the lad. "Nae imagine de bottle don't start acting strange or no'ting? Aye, maybe its got interesting designs on it? Mae friend come across a bottle wit some proper quality. He found out nae come into town to do some shopping so asked if nae can find out where de merchant be who make dem. Course dat's not going to be an easy ting but tis worth a shot. Anyway, sorry to bug yae." He didn't need to let the other know about the bottle of his own so played it off as a friend having aquired something similar of rare quality. Thankful for his labcoat covering the bulk of what lay hidden underneath he gave the lad a quick nod. It was better to continue on, maybe if he went back to the lab he could do some actual tests on the glass. Becca had warned him, maybe one little test wouldn't hurt.

Silver listened to the other man with an obvious interest, now - something in his posture had changed slightly. So there where possibly others ? Of course, he had to keep in mind that it was well possible that the man was not giving the whole truth, just like he was doing himself.

"Well, ill'd say the artisan's alley would be the best place to start. I didn't get much luck, but you and your friend might. And, well, I would not be answering if it bugged me, would I ?" He shrugged again, doing his best to look a bit detached from the conversation. He'd gotten quite good at that during his time at the manor - he'd gotten quite good at pretending to care when he didn't, also, but now was not one of those times. "I am starting to suspect that they might not be from this town at all... A delightful little mystery, ill'd say to myself. I hope to get to the bottom of this."

Better not to talk about the glowing. At least not in public. And not until he figured out what this man was up to.

Perking up Marijus shifted slightly turning on his heel as he eyed the other once over. "Aye." He nodded looking back over his shoulder absentmindedly. "Nae imagine dat be the best route to take." He chuckled lightly the motion causing the pouch under his coat to jiggle. He quickly placed his hand in his coat pocket using it as a means to steady the pouch underneath. "Dis one is not from 'round here. Got strange markings it do; what from a mushroom no less." he scratched the back of his head. His thoughts were so jumbled over the bottle that he hadn't realized he'd just given up some information that probably should remain private. A sheepish grin etched the corner of his lips before he ventured a gaze to the lad. He couldn't see anything in the other's eyes but wasn't about to push the issue. If he understood so be it, if not, it was just as well. "Right. See yae." Better to retreat and save face. He didn't know this person very well and trusted him about as far as he could chuck him.

Oh oh oh....

Silver wasn't certain that he'd completely understood that, thanks to the thick accent he processed, but now he was certain of one thing. The two bottles must be the same. But at the same time they where not, and they reacted in different ways. Interesting...

He didn't bother to stop the man, or to go after him. He'd gotten what he wanted, even if not in it's entirety. And the man's body language had made it clear that the bottle was probably his. If he was as protective as the bottle as he himself was, this was something he wasn't exactly willing to step in.

So he let Marijus flee, his only moment being to lay down on the crate and peer like a bird as the form of the man vanished into the crowd. Let him crawl the Artisan's market too if he wished - given today's gathering there, he could only wish the poor man luck and patience. He would probably need both.

"Dat was wierd, boy."

Silver shrugged. "I've seen worse."

Instead of going into the forest today like she ought to have, Mia was escorting Sable around town. It wasn't that she was forced...well she sorta was. By her own need to get a reality check by talking with Lan... and Sable needed a bed mat among some other things for basic living.

Mia wasn't happy with fitting the bill, especially at the cost of work, but that was how things currently were. She wasn't about to make things worse by complaining, after all this was a great excuse to look for Lan...

Lan sighed, the fresh morning air waking him up intently. He was walking down the sidewalk, Sona on his shoulders and Krinn next to him so he wouldnt get lost. The town was in celebration, and Lan decided it would be a good time to get out and let Krinn explore the town like he had done. Krinn had been okay that morning, only bringing up one topic Lan could do without talking of.

"Hey, whats bisexual mean?"

Lan sighed, almost facepalming again. It had been a horrible conversation, which he ended quickly. Dasity would pay for that later. She shouldnt have called him a bisexual jerk infront of Krinn. It would just give him ideas. Lan sighed, then realizing he had been caught up in his own thoughts, glanced down to see what Krinn was entertained by - enough so to make him be quiet for so long. Then Lan realized something. Krinn wasnt there.
"Oh god!" Lan jumped and frantically darted his eyes back and forth. "Krinn!" He scowled, making way for the corner, trying to track down his small bundle of too much curiousity and moodiness. Following the trail he thought Krinn might have taken, Lan rounded a corner and without looking where he was going, tripped over someone who was smaller then him. Again. It was like their first meeting all over again. Except this time, Krinn had come back and was watching intently as Lan tried to regain balance and failed, falling on his arse with a thump.

"Lan, you're clumsy."
Krinn said sticking out a small hand barely visible to help the other up. The one thing they were there for today was clothing and more food, as Krinn had an appetite bigger then Lan and Willow combined. Currently, Krinn was dressed in a large long sleeved shirt that engulfed his upper body. It was right on the torso. The only thing about it was that the sleeves were twice Lans arm length. Lan had realized shortly after washing his clothing that Krinn would need more then what he had been wearing when he had first met Lan. So Lan had given him a shirt with a strawberry logo on it and Krinn's own pants which was the only thing that was dry. Taking the hand, Lan smiled a bit ruefully as he got up and put his hands on his hips. "I'm not clumsy, I just wasnt watching where I was going." He amended before realizing indeed he had tripped over somebody. Krinn shrugged. "You're still clumsy..." he said moodily, then blinked and glanced over behind Lan.

Lan followed his gaze and realized he had either tripped over the ever so elusive Mia, or her new counterpart.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! This is the second time I've done that to you!" He groaned and bowed his head, Krinn watching him carefully as he did so. "Its nice to see you again Mia...uhm..." He glanced over at Krinn and back again. "This is Krinn...and well...." He didnt know how to say this well. He sighed, rubbing his temple with one hand on his hip. Krinn eyed Sable oddly, as if he wasnt quite sure what to do. He also watched Mia, wondering what Lans relation with the girl was. "I think we have a lot of things to catch up on..."

This guy seriously needed to learn how to approach people. Greeting saying hi a few feet in front of them was typical, but entering into their personal space and knocking them down, now once but twice was ridiculous. However he wasn't alone today, a small black haired boy had offered her a hand, which she happily took "Thank you... Krinn was it?." She smiled as she got herself standing. "And it is lovely to see you again too Lan, one of these days I must see you at your house, maybe then you wouldn't knock me over." she teased.

"Who is he?" Sable asked, standing two inches from the man who had knocked over Mia.

"Oh! Sable this is Lan, a recent friend of mine." She gestured to the man, "And this I presume is Krinn, a friend of Lans?" She smiled at the boy. "Lan, Krinn, this is Sable.... she's staying with me as of this morning."

Sable turned towards the men, so these were the people that Mia had been looking for all morning. She didn't see what was so wonderful about these people...but the man had long hair that she would like very much to braid. Except that Mia suggested that she not do that again, something about knots..."Nice to meet you" she curtsied, her words still not sounding natural.

Mia's smile grew and she turned back to Lan, "We need to talk, about the thing from the other day?" She hinted, hoping that he would understand.

Hymn walked along the docks the sun shining brightly as the city prepared for the delicate celebrations. Sojo wasn't at his side like normal instead the godly figure decided to remain back and have a few words with people he never knew a thing about. Whispering silently he walked the robe draped over him giving him a greater presence.

It was easily to see he was a dust, if you knew what they work but he walked. His white hair tied back like normal and the helmet today was on his side. His eyes of course were hidden in shadow the beautiful sky blue eyes which radiated easily though any crowd to make anyone suspicious.

Beginning to hum a tune he started to sing, his voice radiating unknowingly all over, the siren's spell was at it again. A few stopped, a few froze, and here and there a few stood in awe. Hymn kept silently on his way, he was looking for someone, maybe.

Lan smiled. Atleast they were on good terms. He had a feeling he would be friends with Mia and Sable for a long time. He puffed his cheeks at her tease and rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish grin. "Yes, I think that'd be a good idea. Then we both wont have sore backs at the end of the day." He looked over at Sable, wondering where she had come from. "What a coincidence..." He mused. "Krinn is staying with me as well for awhile...you could say I sort of adopted him." He smiled and looked over at Krinn for a moment. The boy eyed Mia oddly for a moment, thinking she might be another wierd friend of Lans. Then he dipped his head in a small nod. "You're welcome..." Lan had been smart enough to teach Krinn some common courtesy the first day as he had been in the kitchen helping out and the two had nothing else really to talk about at the moment other then how to interact. Lan looked at Mia as she said they needed to talk. He nodded in agreement. "Yes, I do believe we need to talk about that little thing." He smiled sheepishly once more which seemed to be his trademark thing.

Looking over at Sable, Lan smiled a bit.
"Its a pleasure to meet you too, Sable." Krinn glanced over at Mia, blinking for a second. "Friend?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. Then he glanced at Lan questionably. Lan laughed and patted Krinns head, making the boy pout at the show of childish-ness. "Yes, I guess you could say Krinn is my friend." He said, making the boy c**k another eyebrow, his multicolored eyes burning with confusion. They had only met less then two days ago and Lan was already used to the boys actions.

Krinn eyed Sable once more, wondering where she had come from. He didnt really know what to think of her. She seemed sort of aloof, but maybe they could become whatever Lan referred to as a "friend." He nodded to her, and grinned.
"I'm Krinn. Nice to meet you." Lan smiled even though he had his eyes fixed on Mia. Atleast Krinn was being a little more social then the day before. "Some interesting things have come up concerning that thing we talked about....Why dont we find somewhere to talk about it and let Sable and Krinn chat?" Lan offered, noticing that something was definately up about Sable. Was she also a child who had come out of the bottle? She resembled it in a way, as did Krinn who had been dressed in darker colors and much moodier.
