Honest and hardworking he is completely trustworthy and fair in his dealings with the warren. His is a work-a-holic and devoted to his duties as an Owsla, but that doesn't mean he doesn't ever relax.. only that its rare. Hes still a male after all and when spring comes, even he can't avoid what nature demands.

Though he is far from premiscuious he also is not looking for his 'one true love', being too realistic and experienced in the reality of life to be so romantic. Instead, a doe with a good nature, honor and integrity is what he seeks, someone he can trust, spend time wiht and raise a litter with.

The owsla Blackthorn and the pretty if nervy doe named Heather had found him collapsed and near death at the base of the down. The trauma he had suffered very nearly sent him to meet the black rabbit of inle that night, and for days after he hovered at the edge of that long dark tunnel. But gradually, with Heather at his side bringing him the choicest flayrah and the big black buck's protection from being thrown out of the warren altogether, he had slowly recovered. Once he had been able to walk, despite the piece of wire that had embedded itself into his foreleg during his convalescence, he had made the short but painful trip to Bracken-rah's burrow and pleaded his case.

Happily he had been allowed to stay and was hlessi no longer. But there were few who did not know of his newness to the burrow, after all how many of the down's rabbits had ever been near a snare, let alone caught up in one. He stood out like an elil in a carrot patch with his tattered ears, horrible scars and that damned wire. Plus he was very nearly agoraphobic, a most unusual thing for a rabbit to suffer from.
