~*Greed to Patience, then Patience to Greed... MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!*~
Cody grumbled at the light that was pouring through the window blinds and pulled the covers over his head. The spawn frowned at how far he had to pull said sheets to get them over his head. It took him a few moments to realize that his wings felt a bit more squished than usual and that nothing felt quite right. As the spawn sat up, he quickly realized why.
Through the night, he had grown once again just as suddenly as before. The fact that he had a headache didn't help any. With a soft yawn, he pulled on a pair of pants and growled as he realized that they were... well, too short.
"Great, grew in height too..." he muttered and tossed the article of clothing aside. It took the spawn almost a half hour to find something decent to wear for the journey downstairs, settling on a pair of jeans that were close enough in length and waist width to be worth wearing without looking ridiculous.
"C-Cody?!" Shadai gasped, staring as her son came down from his room and into the kitchen, shirtless and looking fairly uncomfortable. "Need new clothes," Cody grumbled in reply, grabbing a box of cereal and a bowl without pausing. Hey, why the hell would he care anyways?
"I can see that, but why are you shirt-"
"No clothes," Cody snapped and slammed the poor cereal box onto the table angrily. What didn't she understand about needing new clothes? His eyes flicked over to Ary as she slowly stood up, apparently ready to tackle him if he lashed out physically.
"Cool it grumpy, we already know you don't have any clothes. No need to get all upset about it," Ary growled, flinching as she sensed Aenira awakening and wandering downstairs. Cody seemed to sense this sudden change in mood and prepared himself for the possible showdown that one or the other would start.
"Mommy... Why you yelli-Cody! You bigger!" Aenira gasped, all signs of sleep vanishing at the sight of the older spawn. As well as all precaution as her tiny form latched onto his leg. "Ooh! You's wings are bigger! You cans fwy better?" she asked, giggling excitedly and clinging tighter to his leg.
Cody blinked and stared down at the overly-hyper baby that belonged to Ary. "Uh... Yeah... I'm bigger and I don't know if I can fly," he replied softly, smiling a bit at her enthusiasm. At least SOMEONE didn't care about whether he had a shirt on or not. Bending down, he picked her up and placed the little girl on his shoulders, completely forgetting about breakfast as she squealed out of happiness and glee.
"Ooh! Stwonger tew! And much taller!" Aenira squealed, gently holding onto him and making sure her small claws didn't dig into his face or scalp where she held onto.
"Yup. Now, let's get you changed," Cody replied, grinning widely as he walked up to Aenira's room and leaving both Ary and Shadai dumbfounded in the kitchen. "What in the hell is going on?" Ary asked, wondering how Cody managed to go from grumpy and irritable to his old self in the blink of an eye. Shadai shrugged, finishing off her bagel and grabbing her bag. "I don't know, but as soon as he returns and gets some breakfast I'm going to have to take him shopping for clothes before he throws another fit."
