Once again, Cody was off wandering the mall with some money in his pocket and nothing better to do. Ary had pissed him off by taking back some of the things he had "found" in her room and happened to claim as his. Did she not know that taking back what was rightfully his was wrong?
Grumbling quietly to himself, the spawn wandered over to the food courts as the need for food began to make itself known. After figuring that stealing something from one of the many stores would be pointless, there wasn't much else to do anyways. Security was far too tight in the jewelry stores and the only ones with minimal security wasn't worth it. Great.
Pausing in front of the food court, the spawn looked around coolly. So many choices...

Lirona stood by a pillar in the food court, enjoying a mint chocolate smoothie and giving herself a well-deserved break from shopping. It was getting colder every day, and she seriously needed to refurbish her winter wardrobe. Especially considering that most of it consisted of toddler-sized clothes. Sighing, she rolled her shoulder, wincing lightly when it didn't pop. Shopping alone certainly was hard work.
As she people-watched, her eyes caught sight of a wicked-looking pair of wings. She stood a little straighter, interest piqued at the prospect of meeting another spawn. And a quiet attractive one, she noted as she caught sight of his face as he walked by her. However, the sight of those feathers in his hair nagged at her mind uncomfortably, and it was a few seconds before it finally clicked.
"CODY?!" she cried out in surprise, momentarily forgetting her setting. She couldn't help it; the last time she had seen the Greed/Patience spawn, he had been all small and cute and round. When... When did he grow into that?!

Cody nearly jumped a foot into the air as his name was shouted. The pre-teen quickly turned around to find the person who had seemed to know his name. If any of his mom's friends found him here... Oh boy, that would be horrible.
Thankfully, the spawn managed to notice Lir in time before bolting off into the deepest regions of the over-crowded mall. The girl LOOKED familiar, but something was off and kept him from truly remembering as he slowly walked over. The one wing and tentacle... something about a church... Ah, whatever, he'd remember her name later.
"You rang? And did you really need t' shout?" Cody asked in his usual irritable greeting. Eying the spawn, he couldn't help but notice that Lir was a pretty good looking chick even if his interests lay elsewhere. "How do you know my name?" he finally managed to ask, still unable to come up with a name to the face. Pah, almost everything in his memories was a fuzzy haze, except for a few random events here and there. Strange.

Lirona clamped her hands over her mouth as soon as she shouted, a deep red blush covering her face as several other patrons of the mall looked at her in disgruntled surprise. She hadn't meant to have been so loud, but it had just been... very surprising.
She chuckled nervously when Cody spoke to her, smoothing the front of her dress as a nervous habit. "N-No, I suppose I didn't need to shout. Sorry..." she said, looking up at Cody in mild embarrassment. However, after a few moments her self-consciousness had passed and she smiled politely at Cody.
"Um, well, you see, we've kinda... met before. I'm Lironax, remember? I met you at that church with Aludra? Well, I mean, I'm not surprised that you don't remember me; I look a lot... different then I did then..." Another nervous smoothing down of the dress. "But you look really different, too, and I guess I was super surprised to see you, and well, yeah..." she trailed off with a nervous smile. Yup, this could have definitely gone better...

A church and Aludra... Well, the church confirmed that he had but the name sounded only vaguely familiar. The spawn glanced over Lironax's main features once more, hoping to spark more from his memory and failing miserably. Well, at least he could recall a location and Lir's DNA parents as lust and patience.
"I don't exactly remember, but that's not much of a surprise. You finding me here isn't much of one as well," Cody replied with a irritable sigh. Maybe he had hit his head when he grew and was giving him some sort of amnesia.
"So, I assume you're here to shop like the entire world of gaia?" he asked, glaring at some of the people staring at them. They quickly looked away, whispering to each other.
"And I suppose you would want some help as well?" he asked after a moment, finally remembering his manners.

Lirona smiled kindly at Cody, not blaming him at all for not being able to remember. It had been a long time ago, or so it felt, and her, Cody, and Aludra all had undergone some serious appearance changes since then. Of course, she also detected some personality changes as well; she recalled the younger Cody being quite sweet. Not to say that this new, grown-up Cody wasn't, but he certainly didn't look it.
Grinning in pleased embarrassment, Lirona shrugged at the comment about her shopping bags. She probably had gone just the teensiest bit overboard, but hey, Noah could handle it. "Well, not intentionally, but I seem to have done just that, haven't I?" she said with a hint of a laugh, looking over her sea of shopping bags a little regretfully. Well, she couldn't help it if she needed a whole new wardrobe, right...?
At the offer of help, Lirona smiled brightly at Cody, nodding enthusiastically. "If you're offering, that would be great, yeah! Um, I mean, you'd just be carrying bags, I'm sorry, but I'm actually almost done, and if you see something you want, I wouldn't mind getting it for you!" she said with a thankful grin. Was it a little irresponsible for her to be giving Noah's money away? You'd think so, except for the fact that that was practically the heir's job. Besides, Cody was doing her a big favor; it would be rude not to compensate him.

Cody just chuckled, eying the sea of bags almost longingly. That is, till he realized most of it was clothing and instantly looked back to Lironax. "Yeah... It seems you have done just that," he replied, smiling slightly.
"Hm? Just for helping you carry a few bags you would buy ME something?" the spawn asked, incredulous. He made a small note to himself about trying to help his mom and Ary around the house more. Perhaps his allowance would be increased or something. A greedy look twinkled into existence in his eyes, a slight smirk crossing his face before disappearing.
"Well, I suppose I can't say no to an offer like that. I mean..." a slight dusting of pink rose to his cheeks. Damn it! He could hear Shadai now, scolding him for forgetting his sense of manners. "If it wouldn't be too much trouble," he continued, sounding extremely reluctant to say it as if he would rather have not said it in the first place and even gritting his teeth as he spoke.

Lirona laughed at Cody's incredulity at being offered something, though not unkindly. It seemed some of his younger form's adorable still persisted. Of course I would! After all," she said with a self-conscious laugh, "it's a lot of bags."
Bending down, she hooked two bags on each arm like the expert shopper she was and gestured for Cody to carry the other three. "If you would take these, that would be great! Don't worry, they're not too heavy or anything." Smiling gratefully at the other spawn, she began heading towards one of the mall's many exits and, more importantly, the shoe store that lay right by it. She already had a pair of boots, yes, but she could also use a pair of sneakers. And maybe some cute heels if she was lucky...
Smiling happily to herself, she called over her shoulder to Cody. "So, how have you been since we last met, Cody? Anything fun happen?"

Cody just shrugged off the comment about there being a lot of bags, easily picking up the three remaining bags and following Lironax. "How have I been? Ah... Depends on your point of view on what was fun and what wasn't," he replied, following her towards the shoe store. Gah, shoe shopping was one of his least favorite things to do. With clothes anything in his size was bought and modified for his wings.
"I've... Well... Don't remember much honestly. I don't want to talk about why either. I did meet the angel of patience though. Was rather interesting to say the least," he continued, scowling slightly as he remembered the meeting. Interesting was an understatement from his point of view. The spawn STILL didn't know what all could have caused the poor angel to lose his title as angel anyways.
"Been stuck here for most of the past week as well. You have no idea how many holes are in the security here, nor how many different ways you can pick a lock," he continued, shifting the bags of clothes a bit.

At the mention of Hyacinth, Lirona stumbled in surprise, having to do some serious backpedaling to keep from spilling her purchases every which way. Once her balance was retained, she whirled around to face Cody, a strange mixture of worry and delight in her eyes. No one had heard anything about her angel DNA donor since he disappeared; not even Pepper had known where he had gone to! As worried as she was about the kind creature, it made sense why she was suddenly so worked up.
"Omigawd, you met him?! Omigawd, omigawd, is he okay? Where is he? Is he alright?" The questions couldn't seem to come fast enough out of the patience child, overwhelming concern for the angel overriding her placid nature. However, it was still there, as proved when she bit back asking Cody why he hadn't led him back to the Facility. Thinking back, it wasn't really the homiest place in the world, and really, it was probably good that Hyacinth had escaped. It couldn't have been much of a life, sitting around and donating DNA to make children you only see once or twice. Taking a few deep breaths, she smiled nervously as she regained her composure. "S-Sorry. I've been kind of worried about him. A-As you can tell."
She continued into the shoe store with a blush on her face, finally processing what Cody had said after that enough to understand it. She looked at him reproachfully as she set her bags down and began browsing the shoes, although a smile remained on her face. "Oh really? Well, I'm sure that's good for you to know. Just make sure you don't get caught, alright?"

Cody just stared at Lironax, face blank of emotion as she all but freaked out over the previous angel of patience. "Yes I met him. I was waiting outside a store while mom shopped and well... we apparently look too much alike and had a little... chat. He's fine, and apparently with friends. Was doing something at a nearby building. I don't know where he is and I don't care. He's abandoned what it means to be an angel of patience," he replied slowly, voice becoming irritated and angry.
Cody barely noticed that they had entered the shoe store until Lironax set down her bags and started looking over the shoes. "I won't get caught. Never have, never will. And don't worry about Hya too much. He's not coming back. Ever." That was true, since he figured returning from a fallen state would be nigh on impossible. At least, that was what he figured.

Lirona felt even more embarrassed at her outburst after Cody's reaction, and attempted to disguise her blush by inspecting the shoes intently. However, even though she was ashamed, she was just the tiniest bit put off by Cody's lack of apathy for the angel - er, ex-angel's - situation. He was their dad, technically speaking, and a wonderful person besides; it didn't make sense to her for the other Patience spawn to not care about him. She kept these feeling internalized, though, as she selected a cute pair of silvery heels and walked back over to her stuff to try them on, not even trusting herself to let out a non-commital grunt. It wouldn't do well to get into an argument here, especially about something that she wasn't even really involved in.
Lucky for her, Cody's assertion of his thieving prowess provided a sufficient distraction, and she smiled fondly at the boy, looking at the heels critically. "Oh, I don't doubt that, Cody. It's just... I don't know, a protective thing, I guess. I'd hate to see your face on the evening news, wanted and all that." That said, the transgirl quickly purchased her new shoes, then gathered up her respective bags before smiling at Cody. "Alrighty, Cody. In payment for your services today, I will buy you anything you want from this mall... that's under a thousand dollars," she added quickly, mind automatically going to the car that was sitting in the main hall a few stores down.

Cody just grinned, glad the subject had switched from Hyacinth to his stealing problems. "I would hate to as well as both my mom and her friend would probably kill me for even thinking of such a thing. Shoes are pretty," he said, commenting on the shoes as she looked them over. Course, anything silvery or shiny had his absolute interest within moments anyways so it wasn't THAT much of a surprise.
Cody shifted the bags a bit, pondering the question. He had seen the car, but it honestly didn't interest him all that much. Although, his mind DID go to a certain someone with curly brown hair. Perhaps... Nah, if he was going to get something for the spawn, it would be out of his own pocket, no matter how much he hated the idea.
"I don't know, honestly... Wait, isn't there that colored glass store nearby?" he questioned, thinking he remembered the shop having been located in the mall, but it was at the higher end part of the place and thus heavily guarded. He had figured that anything with a lot of security wasn't worth lurking around in case someone yelled at him or something.

Lirona giggled at Cody's comment about his mother getting angry with him if he showed up on the news - she had assumed that had been a given. Beaming her thanks at his compliment, she nodded and pointed down towards the exit closest to them. "Yup! It's on the second floor! Let's go!"
A few short minutes later, the two preteens were ogling at the vast array of shining and gorgeous things that covered the store. Lirona in particular was awed by a small bowl that was colored in gold, red, and silver swirls, but then remembered her promise and spun to face Cody, gesturing to the store. "So, what do you want to get, Cody? Anything special in mind?"

Cody allowed himself to be dragged through the mall and to the store. Almost as soon as they got there, all thoughts on getting something for himself melted away. There were so many beautiful things that lay within the store, it was hard not to think of getting one for Edes. Sure his entire being screamed at him that was a stupid a** idea and he shouldn't bother, but...
"No idea and not really," he muttered, slowly wandering into the store, looking over everything. Most figurines he passed over, as well as the glass beads. Of course, there were the beautiful glass ornaments and such as well as various other things. All of which he forced himself to ignore.
That is, till he passed by a small necklace rack. He nearly didn't see it and ended up backtracking to look it over again. On a slim silver chain lay two glass feathers with gold leafing. A soft pink blush rose to his cheeks as he remembered how he and Edes exchanged feathers that first time they met and how the very same feather still hung around his neck, hidden under his shirt. Cody just stared at it for a few more moments, reaching out a free hand to gently pick it up, looking it over carefully and lost in his own little world.
