They reached out to Kianna and smiled, We love...the last words faded away. "Wait who are you? and why do you look like me?" she yelled out with tears falling from her eyes.
That moment had stayed with her for quite some time after it ended. Kianna felt a chill run down her spine as she realized what had happened. She slowly backed away from her dresser, her heart pounding in her chest. She never wanted to go through that feeling again. Not the love and affection part, but more the idea that she may never know if her parents really did love her like that or it was a lie. She quickly gathered her things and left the room, feeling a deep sense of emptiness. She knew that the feeling of uncertainty would stay with her forever, no matter how much she tried to forget.
No matter how much she wanted to believe the love was real in that flash, she could never be sure. In the end, she had to accept that she may never know the truth, and she had to learn to live with that. As she walked around she looked around at everyone she passed and wondered if anyone she was walking by were them. Were those people from the dream close by or were they further than she could reach at her age? She knew it was a silly idea, but one she couldn't let go of. She wanted the dream to be real, more than anything. But she had to accept that it may never be, and that she had to be content with that. She looked around one last time, hoping to find some sign that her dream was closer to reality than she thought. But when nothing appeared, she had to accept the fact that she may never be able to make her dream come true. That was when a quote from one of her father's books popped into her head.
As Richard Denney once wrote: “I believe that everyone should have a dream and believe in it. Make it real, bring it to life. You'll never regret trying. Trying is what strengthens your heart and delivers courage. Once you believe in yourself, nothing can stop you.” You can accomplish anything if you truly believe in yourself and never stop striving towards your goal. It is important to remember that success is often achieved through hard work and dedication. Believe in yourself, and you can achieve anything. With that reminder she started to cheer up, since no one could ever stop her from finding them other than herself. She had to want to find them with all her being, but she was starting to doubt herself. She knew that if she believed in herself, she could do anything she set her mind to. Taking a deep breath, she steeled her resolve and set out to find her friends. If anyone could help her with this problem her track friends were the ones, and she knew just where to find them - At the local smoothie bar!
