Kianna was told stories of mischievous behavior such as the figure moving objects around and appearing in odd places. She was also warned of the consequences of disrespecting the figure. Kianna was filled with both wonder and fear. So what did she do? Well of course she had to see it for herself. She told her parents and asked for their permission. They agreed and Kianna set off on her journey to find the mysterious figure in the stories. She was lucky she had such understanding parents. They never held her back, and they always told her she needed to find her own way. If that meant investigations in the park they were okay with it as long as she kept in touch and made sure she always kept her phone location on. Kianna was determined to find the figure, and she had her parents' support. She was eager to embark on her adventure, and she was ready to face whatever she might find.
With just the necessities and snacks, she packed a quick bag. She was excited to take on the challenge and prepared both mentally and physically for the journey. She also wanted to be able to move quickly and easily, so she packed light to ensure she could do just that. As soon as she was finished she rushed out the door, but not before giving her mom and dad a hug and kiss. "I'll see you guys soon I promise," she said with a smile as she closed the door behind her.
She quickly raced down the sidewalk by her house and before she knew it she was in the park. In one particular park, the gardeners have created a fairy's paradise with fairy lights carefully dangling from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels hidden in hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with a little bit of glitter. She was amazed by what she saw. It looked like she had entered a whole other world. She felt like she had stepped into a fairy tale, and she couldn't help but smile. She marveled at the beauty of the park and spent a few moments taking it all in. She almost forgot her whole goal, but then she saw it - a line of fairy dust moving through the air, and that was not a decoration. It looked like like magic!
Her eyes lit up at the thought as she raced into the garden, and as she got further into the garden it seemed to only grow more magical. She followed the trail of fairy dust and found a small, glowing fairy, resting on a flower. The fairy opened her eyes and smiled, beckoning her closer. She smiled back, feeling the magic of the moment. The only thing was as she got closer the fairy disappeared, and not only that but she had walked right into a trap. She noticed it was too late, as she was covered in a pile of leaves. It looked as though someone had rigged some type of pulley to release the leaves when some stepped in at just the right location. "Very funny," she said as she tried to get out of the pile of leaves as quickly as she could. She looked around, but there was no one in sight. She had been tricked and she knew it. She shook her head and rolled her eyes, feeling foolish for falling for such an obvious trap.
"I'm a friend," she said but it was not good enough for this fairy since it seemed to only want to cause trouble. Just as she stepped out of the leaves she tripped right over a bunch of lights that had somehow appeared right in front of her feet. She fell to the ground and landed on her butt. "owww..." she said rubbing her butt. She looked up to see the fairy laughing at her. She was now even more determined to prove her friendship to the fairy but the fairy did not want that. The flying figure just did a raspberry and flew off. She just laughed and stood up, brushing off the leaves and twigs that had clung to her clothes. She decided that she would prove her friendship to the fairy somehow, no matter how hard it seemed. She took a deep breath and realized she had no more in her tonight. She waved goodbye to the fairy, determined to make a plan. She went home and started researching ways to prove her friendship. She had to find a way to show the fairy how much she cared.
She knew that the fairy had no tangible way to know that she was serious about proving their friendship, but she still wanted to find a way to show her. She thought long and hard about what she could do to demonstrate her loyalty and eventually decided to research the best ways to prove her commitment. So with that thought in mind she rushed off to her house. She gathered her books and notes and started writing down everything she had learned about friendship. She wanted to make sure that the fairy knew that she was serious and dedicated to being her friend. She even asked her parents about all the facts they knew about magical fairies. She was determined to prove her loyalty, so she put in a lot of effort to find out everything she could about fairies. She wanted to make sure that she was well-informed and knowledgeable about the magical creature she was befriending. She also wanted to make sure that she was demonstrating her commitment to the friendship, so she discussed the topic with her parents to gain their insight.
Just as she thought she had the best idea, her body had other ideas, and she fell asleep on her comfy bed at home. As she dreamed she felt something like dust fall on her face, and when she woke up it all felt like a dream. But was it dream? would she ever really know?
