It was 4am and raining in a way that promised both a soon to be muddy floor as the early risers started showing up, and a likely miserable walk home in an hour. Glumly pushing out the rainy day sales rack full of umbrellas, plastic ponchos, and clear plastic bonnets, Todd listened to an ancient commercial about the ideal kitchen of the 1950s. At least he was pretty sure it was a commercial? The lady seemed pretty intense about kitchen design. Display set up, he moved on to having the wet floor signs and mop bucket at the ready. Then double checked the hotcase and slurpee machines. Apparently the limited time flavor, Tubby Custard, had not yet gained sentience.

Kianna had planned to run early this morning. She figured if she had woken up early, she could get some track practice done before school. Sadly, the rain was not on her side, and instead of running for track.Well, now she is currently running from the rain.
As she ran, she tried to find anywhere nearby that might be open. Then she spotted it—a brightly lit sign that said 7-Eleven. She had never been there before, but tonight she was not going to be picky. She was already soaking wet, and all she wanted right now was to get somewhere dry. Who knows? Maybe they'd have some hot chocolate or even spare clothes for sale there.
As she got to the door, she quickly pulled it open and walked in. "Um.. hello. Sorry, I'm a little wet from the rain, but I was wondering if you might have any hot chocolate or clothes for sale here?" She tried to sound as polite as she could, with relief showing through her voice. Even if they said no to both of those things, she was just so happy to be out of the rain right now.

Looking up, Todd saw a girl who was sopping wet and sober looking enough to indicate that she was an early-riser rather than the sort of late night scumbag that he generally thought of as His People. He gave her a deeply sympathetic look. "Good morning!" Imagine getting up in the early AM to make good life choices and getting drenched as a result. Couldn't be him! At the question about clothes, the sympathy turned into outright pity as he nodded. "We have...normally the answer is no, but right now there's a promotional tie-in," Todd began with the air of a doctor with bad news. Stepping aside, he revealed a t-shirt display. "I'm like, not sure why it's Teletubbies. But we uh...we have Teletubby shirts?" At least they were very sunny looking shirts? It would be wrong to say Todd hated them, as he was the first in line to buy one when they arrived. But he'd also be the first to admit his taste in clothes sucks.

"Good morning to you too," Kianna spoke kindly. She had honestly almost forgotten that it was morning. She was so focused on her running that until the rain hit, she probably couldn't have even told you the time it was.
She listened to his answer about the clothes and quickly looked at where he was pointing too. She walked hurriedly to the location, drenched in rain, and grabbed one of the Teletubby shirts. Now these shirts were not her style at all. She actually thought they looked rather weird. Then again what would she know about clothes? Normally she just wore exercise outfits or track suits. She was really basic, but then again when you know what you like you like it.
She held up the shirt in her hand, and shook her head. It didn't matter right now, all that mattered what she was out of this wet shirt. She quickly tore the tag off and set it at the register. She grabbed an umbrella and set it next to the tag on the counter. "I will be right back to pay for these! I promise! I'm just freezing," she said honestly as she raced to the restroom and changed shirts quickly.
Once she was finished she let out a sigh of relief as she walked towards the register. "I feel so much better, thank you. Oh and I'll add a hot chocolate to these please and thank you!" she truly felt so much better in a dry shirt, that ran could really wear one down.

When the girl stepped out, she looked much more like a cute kid than natural disaster survivor. Well, maybe a fashion disaster survivor once she got to school, but he was sure she'd survive. He keyed in the shirt, umbrella, and drink and, after moment, scanned a promotional coupon for the shirt, taking it down a few dollars as part of a combo deal. Along with the price, he also gave her a keychain featuring a weird blue vacuum. "Comes with the shirt," he explained.

Kianna saw the discount ring up and just said, "Oh, thank you for that!" As she did, she saw the keychain. She took the keychain and just looked at it for a minute. It was cute in a weird, cute kind of way. At least it had a nice blue color to it, maybe she could get over the face eventually. The keychain was really just like the shirt - maybe they both would grow on her in the future.
She quickly pulled out her wallet from her back pocket to pay for her purchase. Thankfully, it was waterproof, so it had stayed pretty dry. She swiped her card and put the keychain in her pocket.
"Well, thank you so much for everything! I don't know what I would have done without this place. You are a lifesaver," she said sweetly as she grabbed her hot chocolate and took a sip. She could already feel the warmth going through her body. The hot chocolate was the final thing she needed to get going again.
She smiled with gratitude as she grabbed her umbrella and said, "Thank you again. I'm so happy you were open! I hope you have a great rest of your day!" She knew she had said thank you a lot, but they definitely deserved it. This was the best customer service she had seen in awhile. This store had literally saved her from the storm.
As she exited the door of the 7-Eleven, she opened her umbrella, and she felt content and refreshed. She was so grateful to have found this place in her time of need. She planned on definitely venturing back one day, hopefully one day when it wasn't raining. With that thought, she quickly headed in the direction of her school, since it was still early and she had a bit of a walk to get there.lizbot I definitely can't wait to rp more 7-11 rps. Thank you for the fun rp! <3
