Personality:
Any acquaintance of Seven will tell you the same thing: Seven is a gem. She's intelligent, she's always ready to greet with a brilliant smile, she's generous with her compliments, and she's got an air about her suggesting that she knows she something worthwhile.
Her handler will be the first to tell you that Seven is an absolute doll. She's affectionate, she's sweet, and she's the last Mokai you would ever expect to be a ruthless fighter.
Except that she is, and anyone with a deeper understanding of her will tell you that. Seven is the ultimate chess player, constantly calculating her moves and those of everybody around her. By the time she stops to grant you a smile (one that makes her face light up, but never her eyes), she's seven steps ahead and already has an idea of how much use you'll be to her in the future. She never hesitates to manipulate those around her with her charm and puppy-dog eyes, so long as she gets what she wants, and once she has, Seven has no qualms about dumping someone on the side, never to be seen again. And when she says that she absolutely loves your Mokai collar, there's a good that she'll turn around and pull a face the minute you're out of sight.
But true to her calculating nature, she's extremely careful about who she shows this other side to. To most, even many long-term acquaintances, she's that sweet, flawless little girl with the heart to win, and win big.
History:
Seven was the first Mokai in Devin's stable. She was one of a handful of Mokai abandoned by an irresponsible owner, who had originally invested in a thriving stable but had then lost a significant amount to gambling and fled the islands to avoid his debt. The pack was found several weeks later, unkempt and unruly and on the verge of starvation. Several of the Cull had died by the time the pack was transported out.
Because the stable had been a large one, with over thirty Mokai, the pack was split up and housed with several volunteers. Devin, who was new to the islands, volunteered to watch several until they could be rehomed. He was given ten Mokai to nurse back to health.
In the first few weeks, he spent almost all his time in the stables, willing all of the Mokai to pull through. Because he didn't know their names, he gave them numbers to keep track of them. He was duly surprised when he found that Number Seven, the only Fighter in the group, appeared to be the most trusting and affectionate. Because she had an adorable habit of rubbing up against him when he came to visit, he fed her more and spent more time in her stall.
Eventually, a bond formed between the two, and when the rest of the Mokai were rehomed, Devin decided to hold on to her and Seven stuck as a name.

Personality:
Having inherited his mother's calculating abilities, but none of her flirtatiousness, Kid's only real desire is to be Regular Joe Mokai. He isn't out looking for great things, just normalcy, and if he can keep his face from being recognized in a crowd, he'll do it. The spotlight is not something he seeks, though he will reluctantly linger in it if asked to do so.
A rather more ponderous character, he likes to take his time to figure things out step by step before taking any action. Often slow to warm up to activities, he seems to spend more time thinking than actually doing. He is a perfectionist at heart, and will only act when he is fully satisfied with what he is about to do.
Laid-back and at times aloof where his mother is the quintessential social butterfly, he often finds himself in the middle of unwelcome social situations. His usual line of defense involves careful observation and silent judgment, which he will pass mentally but will rarely voice aloud.
It often takes no set amount of prodding in order to convince him to do something he does not want to do. He works very much at his own pace, and will not react well to premature egging. Usually an easygoing, if somewhat aloof, character, he is usually apathetic when it comes to going along with another's harebrained schemes, but his fighter heritage will show itself when pushed and he can and will use his teeth to do the argument if he feels the need to.
He is very much the baby of the litter, and will grudgingly put up with his sisters' games.
History:
The result of an unplanned breeding, Kid was chosen to stay with Devin. The moniker "Kid" began as a term of affection and soon stuck.

Personality:
A shy, empathetic Mokai who doubts her claim to fighter fame, Senna is surprisingly timid for a fighter. She has little confidence in herself and her talents, and often finds herself unsure of what to do when confronted with spur-of-the-moment decisions. She doesn't trust her instincts, and has a tendency to over-think things and, in doing so, discourage herself from doing them.
She is a sweet, genuine creature that wears her heart on her sleeve. Her emotions are often readily shown on her face and in her actions, and lying is not something she is particularly gifted at doing. She has a straightforward, sometimes naive view of the world and rarely detects or understands deception.
History:
Born to prestigious fighter parents, Senna and her siblings were heaped with expectations. They had big shoes to fill, and they were expected to fill them without fail. Senna, who had inherited her father's stunning coat and her mother's natural agility, was picked by the breeder as her parents' successor.
As she grew, it became more and more obvious that her personality was simply unsuited for the stable, which pushed for ruthless, aggressive fighters. The breeder, who adored her but could not justify keeping a Mokai that did not earn her keep, began looking for ways to get rid of her.
The breeder found the way in Devin, who was an old friend. He used the Mokai as a betting chip over a game poker, which Devin won.
