It was another one of those days. Devin had let her wander in the hopes that she would better acquaint herself with her fellow fighters, and perhaps even learn some of their weakness or convince them that her super-social feminine persona made her a lesser fighter. As long as they were lured into a false sense of security, anything could happen.

And perhaps it was a bit of a cheap trick, but Seven didn't think of it in that way. She simply thought of it as making good use of the gifts given to her by fate. If they had been given to her, then surely, she was free to use them as she wanted and most preferably to her advantage.

It all seemed to make sense to her.

So the russet fighter trotted her way through the Main Compound, sniffing out other Mokai or fights, or really anything just to spice up her day.

Reisx had found herself wandering away from the wild again. It was strange, that she found herself willingly want to return to the compound, but it was for another reason -besides- that strange brown and near teal-night furred fighter male, no, it was for company, perhaps a smile, laugh? Would that be possible? Reisx had not thought it possible, a somewhat compassion between a domestic fighter who still loved the life and what she was, a feral, a fighter long left her past behind her willingly.

But perhaps, in Seven, she could find something, a strength, and perhaps a glimmer of what the next generation of female fighters could be, and what they could overcome - like that male.

Reisx's fur bristled when she thought of the male, and she shook her head and huffed as she walked in the alleyways, out of sight of windows when she could. It was easy to stick to the shadow, the shadows and try to blend in with discarded items. But she had to make sure none saw her coming.

The treat that male gave, it didn't much bother Reisx then, but if he truly was that arrogant, that blind, Reisx had to be careful. He had ill intentions, and Reisx only hoped Seven steered clear of the strange male.

Stopping in an alley, pressing herself against a steel bind so that she could blend in, she raised her nose to the air, sniffing, trying to see where Seven might have gone. Reisx carried a small organic parcel in her mouth - a sort of present for Seven. A green leaf covered the secret inside so that she could carry it easily.

It had not been a highly productive day. Nobody really to meet on the street, and the fights... well the illegal fights were a little more difficult to scout out anyway. She padded along, half bored was contemplating the pursuit of a rat trail when a somewhat familiar scent came to her, and her head popped up in wonder. Was it really...? It didn't seem to be, and for a moment, she had half a mind to chalk it up to her bored mind playing tricks, but... then again, her mind had never done that before, no matter how bored she got.

The russet fighter turned and sniffed the air again. It couldn't have been coming from far off. And still, she wondered. Although its light was waning, the sun had yet to set, and without darkness to cover one's tracks, it was much easier to get caught.

So why did she think Reisx was hanging around?

Maybe because she was. Seven turned the corner into a small alley to come face to face with the dark Mokai. Her eyes widened, and she skittered into the alley to avoid passing scrutiny. "What are you doing here?" She asked, half worried that something terrible might have forced the situation

Reisx's ears flickered and her nose raised to the wind, there were too many scents here sometimes, but if given teh chance, one could get used to them and sort them all out. Laying in wait, Reisx let her tail slip around her body as she sat, and soon enough, Seven came. It was almost like Seven had a locale on her, hopefully that was a good thing, and that strange male fighter was no where close.

She dropped the parcel from her mouth - more like set it calmly on the ground and looked to Seven, the windows that were near but not too close, and she kept her head ducked.

"I wanted to come back to -" she stopped, looked around again, "see you, bring you something."

Reisx sniffed the air, assuring herself no humans were near, "Have you had fights recently, any coming up?" Seven might take it as a change of subject, but really, it had to do with what Reisx had brought.

Bring her something? Well, Seven was totally down for that. She loved presents, giving and getting, and she couldn't quite help but light up at that. Ooooooh. She drew herself nearer, staring at the parcel curiously.

"I, ah," she replied distractedly, too engrossed with the thoughts of what could possibly be inside the package to fully grasp the words coming out of her mouth. "Oh. Yea. I just won one this week." She had yet to come back down to earth after the high of winning her first legitimate fight, and there was always an inevitable grin that came with the topic.

She had deserved it, of course. Nobody worked harder than Seven to prove herself. Or... well, not nobody. She wasted plenty of time and energy dealing with... tactics outside of the ring. In fact, that was exactly what she had been up to just moments before, when she could have been inside, training hard against an ex-fighter or maybe even a cull, the poor things. Still, she never questioned her practice targets. Whatever Devin could procure, she would fight.

"Probably another fight next week too. I'm hoping I win that as well," she added, scooting herself next to Reisx so they could witness the unfolding of the parcel together, whenever that might be. That was what BFFLs did, after all.

Reisx hesitated moving away as Seven moved herself closer. It felt strange to be so close to another Mokai and not...be in the ring. Reisx's ears twitched as she peered around, then looked to Seven's paws. "I'm glad you did well, but be careful." She didn't need Seven getting hurt like she had.

She nudged the leaf over to her, and softly began peeling it apart, "I thought it might help, and be...calming?" Reisx wish she had had one when she was a fighter.

As she unraveled hte leaf, a small, pear-sized stone, a gray tone that appeared like it was dipped fresh in water, lay upon the leaf.

Reisx had come across an area where there were a lot of them, they were smooth, even silky, to the touch, and they felt nice on paws.

"I thought your paws...it might help soothe them, and be fun to just have," Reisx said with a smile.

Sorry it took so long! D:

Her ears perked at the sight of the stone, so pure in color. It looked like nothing she'd seen inside the compound, something shaped entirely by the world outside and yet, somehow, perfect. No human hands had touched this stone, and yet it was more beautiful than any other stone she had ever seen before.

Now that, she hadn't expected. She had always assumed that the humans were right in everything they did, that their way was the right way, simply because that was the way she had been raised. But here before her was evidence that it wasn't necessarily the case.

"It's beautiful..." She said softly, staring down at the stone. Reaching out, the Mokai pawed lightly at it, running a paw across its smooth, cool surface. N doubt, it would prove entertaining during her hours in the stall when nobody was around.

"Thank you, I love it," she added, beaming. This must have been the first time she'd ever received a present from another Mokai. "Why did you... well, bother bringing it to me?"

((No worries luff <3))

Reisx watched as Seven eyed and pawed at the stone, and Reisx smiled. She herself enjoyed the feel of the smooth stones, and she was beginning to start a cache of them for her to lay upon so that she could feel the smooth surfaces while she slept.

"I'm glad you like it," Reisx spoke, but at Seven's other words, she tilted her head slightly, blinked and let her shoulders ease in tension. "I...It's a little hard, to explain...I think," she tried, but stopped, licking her lips trying to find the right words.

"When I was here, I wasn't allowed to...socialize. But, I knew what I experienced, it hurt my paws, and thought you'd like this, have it be something just for you," her ears tilted forward, eyes intent. "Think of it as a piece of the wild with you, part of me."

A piece of the wild? Seven looked up from the stone. Never would she have imagined that she might one day meet a Mokai willing to share something like that with her. It was so strange to think that Reisx, of all creatures, would have taken the chance to do so. Seven didn't presume to much understand the other female, but Reisx's love of the wild was evident enough, and that she was willing to risk that by sneaking back into the compound said something.

The russet Mokai grinned, scooping the stone close as if to guard it against any that might dare to take if from her. "I will," she said with a toothy smile, still pleasantly surprised by this unexpected turn of events.

"Now I'll have to find you a present too." It was a shame that Reisx hadn't been able to let her know ahead of time. Otherwise it could have been a gift exchange of sorts, even if Seven had to wonder whether there was anything to be found inside the compound that would interest Reisx. Or would it all just remind her too much of her life in captivity? She wasn't so sure. Perhaps it was a sensitive topic of sorts.

Reisx smiled but then shook her head, "No, no, this was my gift to you, a surprise, my gift," she emphasized, and she stuck her tongue out, just a little. She wondered what Seven would be like if Seven was out in the wild, if she would act different, if she would have the same personality, if she would be stronger, there were too many possibilities. It also made Reisx wonder what her life could have been like if she had met Seven before everything that happened, but no, she knew, deep in her heart, she would never be able to not be in the wild. She needed to be free, free from boundaries and chains.

"I hope it will help, after fights," she said looking to the stone, "I love collecting them, you should see where I go, I'd think you'd find it beautiful compared to this," Reisx said moving her head motioning to the concrete and metal.

"Perhaps one day you can come."

"It will," Seven reassured her with a grin. She couldn't wait to get back and play with it, and no doubt Devin would be pleased that she had found some form recreation c** therapy without his help. Maybe it would even give him an idea for his future fighters. Maybe he would improve on the stone concept. Maybe. Right now, she was just glad to have this little piece of the wild with her.

"Perhaps," she agreed with a nod, her gaze following Reisx's motion to fix upon the world beyond the fence. Maybe one day, things would change and she would no longer have Devin in her life to watch over and keep company. Maybe one day, her luck would take a turn for the worse again. Seven hadn't the words to voice how much she hoped that wouldn't be the case, but at the very least, now, she had an escape route.

"And even if not, maybe I can come visit." She doubted it, but there was something about having a dream that made it seem all the more real. And for that reason alone, she was willing to hold onto it.

"It'd be interesting to see what you'll do, once you're out there," Reisx said with a smirk and a wink. "It's a lot different than here, have to keep on your toes," but she doubted that Seven wouldn't be able to handle herself. Seven had a confidence and that held throughout her body, if Seven felt like she could do anything, Reisx figured she would.

"I just wanted to make sure I got it to you," she said while rising to her paws, stretching, looking back towards home, "but I should go, before someone comes," Reisx knew coming back so often was tempting fate, or any lurking elders or guards nearby.

"Just use it, when it gets tough, it will help, trust me," she said motioning to the stone.

It felt good to bring a piece of the outside world in, a piece that was hard to break, and already fine the way it was, like her.

"Just be careful, all right?"

"We'll have to see sometime then," she said with a smile. Imagine that, Seven out in the wild. Somehow, that image didn't quite seem to work, but maybe someday. The dream would always linger, it just depended on whether or not she ever felt the need to make it come true. At the moment, that seemed unlikely, but who knew. Her stars could change in the space of a breath.

"I will," she promised, already thinking about heading back to her stall and trying it out. She had no doubts about the stone's ability to ease some tension when the time was right.

"I'll be alright," Seven said with a nod. So far as she could see, everything would be fine. "It seems like you're the one in greater danger here," she added. The last thing she wanted was for Reisx to find herself captured while visiting her. The wild was a much better place for the dark Mokai.

"I'll test ya," Reisx said with a wink, "true survival training Seven, we'll see if you can handle it," she said playfully. Reisx stood and shook herself, her fur releasing the bits of dirt and grime from the settlement as she did so. She smiled to Seven, peered around, and then looked back to the brown female. "You better be allright. I'll be fine, danger? I've been seemingly laughing at danger this whole time huh?" she said with a shine in her eyes.

True, she had been lucky none had noticed her thus far.

But, she did have to be careful.

"Take care Seven, I'll try to visit again soon," she said as she toko a step back, her body beginning to blend with the shadows. "And remember, someday, I'll truly see how much of a survivor you are my friend," she smiled, winked and disappeared into the shadows of the cobblestones around.

Yes, someday she'd want to see how Seven liked the wild, could handle it, and wanted to see if Seven would ever want to return to the settlement after feeling free.

Truly free.
