Attack: 7% x 10 = 70 Defense: 7% x 1 = 7 Speed: 1% x 7 = 7 Agility: 1% x 9 = 9 Intelligence: 1% x 9 = 9 She paced in beside her owner on the leash. The shuffle and roar of the crowd watching a fight. Another mokai stepped to close and she snarled at him. A tug on her collar and she quieted down. Her owner had seemed please with her last fight, and now she looked up at the woman. "Alright Shirshalla. I think you know what to do." The ring was becoming familiar to her and she knew what to expect. In fact it was becoming rather enjoyable. That thrill of entering the ring and facing her opponent. Shirshalla tensed as her gate opened and she charged into the ring. She blinked as she realized that she was the first to enter this time. Irritably she paced in a circle.

Fighting Stats Attack: 1% x 2 Defense: 1% x 7 = 7 Speed: 7% x 5 = 35 Agility: 8% x 9 = 72 Intelligence: 8% x 2 = 16 Breathe. Relax. She knew what to do.
Or, so Senna desperately wanted herself to think. Sooner or later, she would have to grow out of this timid, uncertain state that had been hers for so long. Sooner or later, she would have to live up to her fighter heritage and make her parents, her old owner, he new owner... proud.
Slowly, ever so slowly, she was reaching a point at which she felt comfortable in the ring. Confidence was still a ways off, but at least progress was coming, and for that Senna was grateful. She couldn't explain her gratitude the way she wanted to Devin, but she could win. She could get better. She could make him understand that everything he'd done for her had paid off.
And so she would.

The female felt her hackles rise as her opponent entered the ring. She gave a snarl and leaped into action. There was no hesitation as she unleashed fang and claws at the other mokai. She was sure; she was unmerciful. Swift and confident her blows rained down upon the other female.

Damn. This wasn't the first time that Senna had found herself wishing she was back in the ring with Link. He had been so much more like her, unused to the ways of fighting and just out to have a good time and some good, old-fashioned fun.
This Mokai before her certainly wasn't looking for any of the above. Senna tried to keep her ground as onslaught of attacks came at her, but to no avail. To her dismay, she found herself inching backward, away from the spotted Mokai's attacks.
This was not good. In another few steps, she would be hemmed in against the wall with nowhere to go and nothing to do but to sit through the barrage of blows headed her way. That would not be smart. Taking a deep breath, the striped Mokai steeled herself for her own retaliation, and without another thought, she plunged forward, pushing back against the attack with her own, paws swiping and teeth snapping at whatever she could reach.

Instead of standing her ground the other mokai fell back under the attacks. Shirshalla found herself having to step forward to remain within striking distance. That threw her off slightly. It disappointed her that this other wasn’t really fighting back. In the corner of her eye she spotted the wall looming closer. Ah, she could pin her opponent there then she’d have no choice but to stand and fight, or be ripped to shreds.
Shirshalla realize that her opponent must have just realized that same fact when return blows started coming. She had to duck to the side to avoid a major hit and ended up getting scratched on her shoulder. The black female evaded then had to back step the snapping jaws. She snarled to let the other know she wasn’t going to be pushed around.

It didn't matter. Senna was going to take this momentum and ride it as far as it would take her. Then, when she had to, she'd stop to come up with a better plan. At the moment, though, it seemed to be working well enough, and she kept up her unpolished attack, even after the other Mokai snarled.
The spotted female was getting angry, but... Senna supposed that was just all part of the process. It was a fight, after all. At least somebody had to be a little bit angry.
Though unrehearsed, her blows came with surprising conviction, and every time her balance threatened to tip, her thick tail swung to even her out again. Now it was just a matter of pushing back against her opponent and getting away from the wall. Self-preservation, in any case, seemed like a good idea to her.

Shirshalla growled and ducked her head to avoid some of the blows. Even stepping back reluctantly she suffered a couple blows. And that tail! It wasn’t proper. The twitching was really getting on her nerves. She flexed her claws and snapped at her long tail. Her distraction gave her opponent the opportunity to wiggle herself out of the corner.
Determined not to give her any more openings, Shirshalla came in fast and low. She went shoulder first to attempt to knock the female off her feet. There was more than one way to pin a mokai.

The striped Mokai growled, jerking her tail instinctively away from the other's snapping jaws. She had half the urge to swing it the other way and smack it into the other female's face, but she quelled it, opting instead lunge after the other's offending muzzle. That would show her!
Her attack was interrupted mid-way by the other female's low tackle. Senna stumbled backward from the blow, tail swinging frantically to correct the imbalance as she struggled to keep from going down. Falling at this point would not bode well for her.
With a little luck and a lot more stumbling, she managed to right herself, breathing hard after the close shave. Somehow or other, she would have to figure out how to defend against attacks like that.

That fluffy tail was pulled away just in the nick of time. Shirshalla yipped as her opponent grabbed her by the nose. She swiped her claws at the grey female to get free. It didn’t seem like a bad bite, and no one tried to pull them apart. She kept going.
While her tackle semi-worked, the female didn’t go completely down. Though she succeeding in keeping her feet, Shirshalla swiped at her legs trying to trip her again.

Senna jerked backward as the other female clawed her leg, trying once again to get away rather than move on the offensive. She shuffled backward, and was on the verge of disengaging to find a new spot to get back into the fight when the bell rang.
She heard Devin's light whistle from across the arena, and she backed fully out of the fighter to return obediently to his side. She didn't have much love for fighting anyway, and it never took much to snap her out of a fight.

Shirshalla was about to continue her advantage when the other fighter backed away and ran to her owner. The female snorted at the show of cowardice. A voice calling her name finally made her turn, then return to her own owner.
