Sailor Chibi Eupheme, Senshi of Weightlessness

Eupheme tried shuffling after Reims as he was dragged closer to the handful of teenagers. She knew some of them by name and appearance and was told she could trust them, but she hadn’t been told their civilian identities. Which was probably for the best. Mom always got really serious when it came to identities being kept secrets.

But it was even worse when her responsible adult (Surtur) showed up. She cringed, not wanting to get scolded for running off.

Quietly, she pulled out her phone so she could record what was going on. She definitely wanted her twin to see all of this! Especially since Ganymede was pulling out her fancy dress and wings.

She couldn’t help but overhear the voice of another kid around her age.

Hey!! That didn’t happen often. She’d thought she saw them before, but was so distracted with trying to find clues that she didn’t have time to say hello.

So while Surtur was distracted with talking to the ghost Moon Queen, she quietly shuffled over, but kept her phone recording the ghost lady.

“You just being here means you’re already doing amazing!” Eupheme whispered as she shuffled over to where the Chibi Senshi (Aquitania) with dark hair and wearing red and white was standing close to a Mauvian (Realta). To make sure the other knew just how proud she was of her, especially since she was trying to be quiet, Eupheme gave her a thumbs up.

“You’ve got this! And don’t worry. A lot of people here have a bunch of experience with this kinda stuff,” she nodded sagely. “We’ll figure this out. Oh, I’m Eupheme!”

Super Aruna of Landslides
Location: Reception

Aruna stared in awe as Serenity materialized. She bowed her head, feeling it was the right thing to do, before moving to continue to stand beside Murikabushi and Kerberos, not wanting to get too far from them. She spoke quietly, though her voice carried easily. "Thank you for answering us, your majesty. We would seek your aid, if you might be able to give it."

She watched as Tempesti brought forth a photo, though her hand stayed curled anxiously in Murikabushi's sleeve. She had firmly decided that space was not her favorite thing to experience and she most definitely was eager to get back home. She wanted to talk more with Kerberos and Muri about the space prison, about their entire experience with that, but she definitely needed to decompress first after all this. So for now, she stayed quiet and stayed close to the people who had thus far protected her.

Queen Serenity surveyed the crowd, and through all of it, she listened quietly. Her face was impassive but far from cold. She wore a neutral expression, and though she was a shadow of her former self, she had a timeless regality about her. She carried herself proudly, but with no hubris.

She nodded politely to Aruna. “You have the benefit of knowing me,” she answered Ganymede, “But I do not recognize any of you. I am a fragment of Queen Serenity, a part of her essence, and you are in my palace, on the Moon Kingdom.” If she was important, she left it up to Fang to decide.

Oberon seemed to have already made up his mind and his words did not seem to elicit any sort of emotional response from Queen Serenity. She did not argue, but she did seem to weigh his words as much as all the others. When she spoke, it carried throughout the room, and her words were clear and enunciated so everyone could hear, and so Halle could obtain a worthwhile recording.

“This is far from standard protocol, so I can only assume that my kingdom has fallen. But, I am here to help however I can, for as long as I can.” She looked at the pedestal, where one of the three orbs was rapidly dimming. The other two still glowed brightly. “I do not have much time to answer your questions but ask them quickly and I will do what I can.”

She looked to each of those who had spoken, and at all chances where she was offered to inspect something, she did. Though she addressed the crowd, her eyes always found someone when she answered their question. First, she spoke to Kerberos. “Any Herald of the Dark Star is not to be trifled with. Expect immense power. This is the Calamitous Hollow, a creature with a hunger so great it devours worlds and is still not sated. It is not an enemy, but a force beyond nature. I do not know if it can be stopped ‘for good’. We were unable to find a way to return it to its domain. We had no other option. The loss of life was catastrophic. Even the Cauldron cannot contend with a beast of that nature.”

To Surtur next, “That is correct. The Calamitous Hollow has no respect for the fabric of our universe. It goes as it pleases and when it cannot find a path, it will make one. I do not know if it has any desire to return to its origin, we do not know where it came from, only that it is here.”

She looked at the spike Solaris offered, and then Murikabushi’s. “You traveled to the subchamber, below where the creature was restrained. It was built with extra protections to ensure that if the barrier failed, it could be trapped again. There should be six of those. They were installed to ensure there were full replacements available. But it sounds like it has fully breached containment. It will need to be trapped again. The stakes must be slotted into any surface below it to trap it again. They will drain its energy. The more it absorbs, the larger it is. It will weaken itself by traveling, by attacking. But it generates its own energy as well. It is self-sustaining if you do not cut it off at the source. And those,” she nodded to Tempesti’s pictures, “Are a lucky mark. I am surprised it did not drain you completely. I have never seen someone with those injuries alive. So this is a good sign already. It is not as strong as it was when we last faced it. But you must move quickly. Do not let it recover full strength.”

Then, to Aberdonia, “Survivors left in its wake were few and far between. Many tried to stop it, but the more who fought, the more who fell. The stronger it grew. I do not know if it can be killed. Even when weakened, as long as it has a spark of life, it seems driven to consume. To grow. It does not care for anything, it is oblivious to the damage it does. I have nothing kind to say of it, but do not think me merciless. I know what is at stake if it is on our doorstep. It will not stop at Earth. It will not stop at anything. Do you think you will be able to locate the other four spikes? You will not have an effective barrier without them.”

Sailor Tempesti/Rowan Trumoia
Location: Reception

Through the hazy fear that continued eddying around in her head, Tempesti felt a twinge of pity for the queen’s eidolon. If any sentient fragment of Queen Serenity’s consciousness resided within this machine, the shock of awakening to strangers within the ruins of her home could be nothing but painful. Mercifully, the specter did not express any pain she might be experiencing by disintegrating intruders.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar rose unbidden from its long buried dwelling in her childhood memories as the Moon Queen explained what it was they faced. Just a very hungry apocalyptic caterpillar from beyond the stars with power surpassing what the most powerful civilization she’d heard of and source of stars and souls could muster.

Tempesti flinched slightly as Queen Serenity addressed them, any hope that the ghost didn’t notice her vanishing with the acknowledgement. Surviving that lightning struck had felt lucky, she even got a cat out of the deal. Knowing that she would likely be dead if the same thing happened after the Very Hungry Horror Show powered up wasn’t much comfort. If action depleted its energy, she wondered if there was a way to provoke it into attacking some out of the way place. It seemed unlikely given that as far as she was aware, Earth was the only world left with any significant life. Even if it wasn’t, if it was actually a force beyond nature she imagined that trying to get its attention would be like throwing rocks at a tsunami.

The senshi clenched and unclenched her hands nervously, shuffling slightly in place as she tried to work up the nerve to speak. “Excuse me,” she made reluctant eye contact as she spoke with the ghostly figure, “If it’s not at full power yet, how much time do we have before it is? When will receiving these injuries become fatal?”

[x ] Niflhel & [x] Snowball | Entering the Reception

The pair was fashionably late to the moon and the chaos going on, they managed to catch a few of the questions posed to Queen Serenity. As well as the information being given. Niflhel looked over towards Snowball who sat on his shoulder currently.

The Saturn knight did not like what he was hearing, as it sounded like multiple homeworlds and wonders were in danger and the projection of Queen Serenity did not give him a lot of confidence they'd find a way to beat this.

He looked at Snowball, "So it does have a name...." He said softly to the cat. The fact it made paths made the Knight and the cat both uneasy and the fact the origin was unknown.

"The fact it's not at full power worries me more . . . " Snowball said softly than the fact it had a name. His nose twitched softly as his fluffy white tail flickered still maintaining balance on Niflhel's shoulder. "Maybe this is why the code on your wonder said you were in much trouble and upgraded your weapon...."

Niflhel frowned when Snowball brought up what the code piece said when his weapon was upgraded, "I'm liking this less and less. Why does it always have to be a doomsday scenario?"

First the weapon upgrade and now the mention that there were a lack of survivors concerned the cat. There was a pause, "Four more spikes?" He pulled up the database to see if there was information on where they might be.

Snowball eventually broke from speaking to Niflhel and looked at Queen Serenity directing her a question, "Excuse me, were the spikes in relatively close proximity when they were placed?" The cat was curious on the spikes - were they in the same area or were they on different wonders and/or homeworlds? Could they perhaps figure out the trajectory of where they maybe knowing where the old ones were?.

Eternal Murikabushi of Hunger
Location: Reception Area.

Tearing holes in reality?

Hearing that suggestion—and then hearing someone (Oberon) say that it mattered more than any actually verifiable intel—Murikabushi’s first impulse was to roll his eyes. He held back on it (only barely), but that still sounded both ridiculous and like a waste of time to think about, relative to the eight billion some-odd people whose lives were on the line right now. Most of them had no recourse to protect themselves because they didn’t know what was coming. They couldn’t begin to fathom it, either, and would’ve seen anybody trying to tell them the truth as a crazy person who needed to be institutionalized or, worse, a social media grifter.

But, yeah, sure, quantum physics bullshit was totally the best use of everyone’s time. Definitely more worthwhile to think about than presenting all the available concrete information, like Tempesti’s photos of her lightning scars, and trying to piece that together into something that anyone could use right now. Something that could help people, the way that magical girls were supposed to do.

The Queen seemed to take the quantum physics s**t seriously as a suggestion, though, which didn’t make it sound any less insane to Murikabushi……but what she had to say did trip a mental wire for him, jerking his memory back to strange tears in the fabric of reality throughout Destiny City. Strange tears that had stolen people away with little apparent effort and no regard for who they were, yanking them off somewhere else. Until, finally, practically everyone had wound up in some other realm where the energy in the air had pulsed and strange creatures had attacked.

There had been strange lightning during that incident, too.

“Hey, Miss Fragment of Imperial Silver Moon Majesty,” Murikabushi piped up again, “I ask this knowing that the answer might be complicated, or fragmentary, or any number of ways you can say ‘incomplete,’ but! Dr. Harold Darkstar, PhD in World Devouring Studies from Calamitous Hollow University.”

Murikabushi’s tone in saying that name indicated that he knew perfectly well that the creature in question had other names, but refused to dignify it by saying any of them correctly. Generally speaking, respect was to be given to any sapient beings……except world-eaters like Harold. World-eaters didn’t deserve Murikabushi’s respect. He didn’t want to waste time pretending that they did.

“What sorts of phenomena, if any, happened during the Silver Millennium that got attributed to something trying to tear holes in the fabric of reality, the way you’re describing? Would anything, perhaps, match a description like ‘inexplicable black rifts cropping up within a specific territory, sucking people into them’? Were there ever any reports of monsters that seemed to come from nowhere, maybe in the vicinity of some strange rift activity?

“It’s fine if you don’t know, or the answer is just ‘No, that sounds like some unrelated bad juju.’ But……”
Murikabushi shrugged. “What you and the handsome man in the gilded tiara were saying about holes in reality, and shortcuts, and Harold Darkstar coming from some unknown realm…… It made me remember some other unexplained stuff that’s happened in the past few years and go ‘Huh, I wonder if there’s a link there’?

“Also, last thing, I promise.”
Leaning his spike on one shoulder like a baseball bat, with the pointy end aimed at the floor, Murikabushi looked over to the new Mauvian (Snowball), sitting on the shoulder of some Saturn Knight whom Murikabushi had never seen before (Niflhel). Trying to get the Mauvian’s attention, he waved at them. “Hey, uh, how do you mean ‘were the spikes in close proximity,’ exactly? The ones that Solaris and I recovered were in the same facility, yes? And since Miss Majestic Moon Queen Extravaganza of the Universe says that’s where the beast was imprisoned, I’d conclude that the spikes were placed pretty close together in order to work?

“The numbers are concerning, though. If there are six working spikes, like she says, then somebody might have gotten all of them out. However, the murals at the hexagonal space prison indicated that Dr. Harold Darkstar, PhD., only escaped because he broke one of the spikes keeping him contained. Unless there’s a replacement we can get our hands on, there might only be five actively in play. And that’s assuming that Encke or any of the Negaverse operatives present managed to snag one before the place collapsed.

“I also don’t know if taking one would have worked for just anyone or not. Kerberos tried to take the spike that we found but it wouldn’t go with him. He’s only been able to touch it at all since I took it from where it was waiting.”

Murikabushi left off the part where he’d been the one telling Kerberos to take the stupid thing in the first place. He already knew that Kerberos had more of a right than he did to bear such a big responsibility. He didn’t need to hear anybody else present tonight agree with him that the spike belonged with the demure, snarky but polite diva who’d already paid his dues and earned any right to talk himself up, not with the annoying, dramatic loudmouth who had too many opinions, didn’t know how to do anything other than The Absolute Most, and hadn’t even been an Order senshi for a full year yet. Just because Murikabushi knew these truths about himself didn’t mean he wanted ******** external confirmation from anybody.

Anyway, it probably wasn’t important that the spike had refused to go with Kerberos. Any minute now, Queen Serenity was going to confirm that it didn’t mean anything because duh, why would it. Unlike Kerberos (or Ida, or Ganymede, or Cybele, or Asmodeus as of that adventure on her homeworld a few weeks back), Murikabushi was nothing special.

Haldane, senshi of Doubt & Bellatrix, Eternal Transcended Senshi of Fortitude]
Location: Reception Area.

Bellatrix had brought him along here to 'teach him the fine art of being there and not making a scene of himself.' Or something like that. Haldane wouldn't have called his dearest babe a wallflower or anything like that, but aloof and stoic fit pretty well - especially in a group setting. Even then, he could feel an unnatural coldness and something almost like disdain as they'd done little more than look around and observe since they'd been here. With the spectral appearance of the 'queen' the look of annoyed sass that he could see on her face spoke clearly. Haldane knew Bellatrix had been involved in all this for a very long time. A very long time. It would be hard not to be jaded by the seeming lack of any success or progress in that time. He'd asked her once why she still carried on with this senshi business, and the answer had been simple;

"If the senshi of Fortitude gives up on the cause, then what hope was there?"

Haldane pried open the balled up fist at Bellatrix's side and laced his fingers with hers - ow oww owww - okay so he had meant to be comforting but was now a senshi stress ball - but that was okay!

The two listened and watched, and he didn't make a peep. Even after everything, it was still hard to believe that it was all real. Not just the magic, but the very real cosmic danger the world, no, the universe, was in at any given moment. Even standing here it felt like more than his mind could realistically believe.

But he was the senshi of Doubt. But how much did one really embody their given sphere? It was so complex, even then- Oh, there he went questioning, doubting, things again. Haldane's mind had wondered, and Bellatrix had noticed and nudged him back into reality...because by now his hand was too numb to feel any change of pressure there that might have signified an attempt to more subtly bring him to attention.

The moon was weird. All of this was weird. Hearing all the 'lore' from Bellatrix was one thing, and his brain really hadn't fully comprehended it all. Still didn't. But now being here, on the literal ******** moon of all places.... Yeah, no. It still didn't help him make sense of it all. Whatever, so long as it was important to Bellatrix, he'd be there with her. And if there was anything important, he trusted that she would make sure he understood. The past, and all that stuff? Not important. The here and now and what they could do to insure the future of not just Earth, but everything? That's what mattered. It was that simple to him. The greater nuance of learning from the past, and how the past still effected the present? He'd leave that kind of thinking to people who were far more invested in it than he was. He was a man of action! Not philosophy.

----

It had been a good question - why she stayed in the game. She had no real impact, played no obvious significance, had seemingly done nothing to be seen as anybody to know... And perhaps there were benefits to laying low. She had also been held hostage by her homeworld for a number of years but still.... She was here, and she had convinced herself that simply being here was important. Even if it was for no other reason than to show Haldane a thing or two. She wish his brother were also here, but Merrick was abroad, and while she missed him she knew Haldane was missing his almost-twin so much more.

She knew Haldane worried his brother would be upset if he somehow 'leveled-up' before him, but Bellatrix had done her best to ease his worries - which wasn't easy when you were talking about the senshi of doubt. But like their whole relationship she assured both brothers that they'd have their share of her time and attention.

But for now, her attention was on the things going on in front of and around them. Indeed, coming to these gatherings and contributing nothing while gaining knowledge was something she had become good at over all these years. All of this was quite concerning, but she'd been through and seen other 'quite concerning' events, so it dulled the sense of anxiety that she may have otherwise had.

Maybe she should have been called the senshi of being Jaded As ********. Another world-ending event? She'd believe it when it happened. But then the world would be gone and everyone would be dead and it wouldn't matter then. Nothing would matter then, would it? Rocks fall, everyone dies, the end.

...What was therapy, again?

Eternal Ganymede
Location: Reception

“Maybe she was important once,” Ganymede answered Fang, keeping her voice low so it wouldn’t travel far. Mixed emotions though she might have, she also knew what was important. They needed help and answers. Serenity might be able to provide both, regardless of the form she took. “Queen of the Moon Kingdom. Her daughter and the Prince of Earth had a love affair which led to their downfall. Or so the old story goes. It’s been years since anyone’s talked about it. Wars evolve. This one has. I doubt a fairytale has much to do with it anymore. It’s alright. She’s at least in a position to know something about this.”

Ganymede listened—to Serenity, and to all those who asked their questions. Her mouth pressed into a neutral line, teeth clenched enough that her jaw went a bit tense.

“Let’s assume those are the only two spikes remaining,” she said, raising her voice enough to be heard again. There was no point relying on what ifs and maybes. “The Negaverse might have more of them. They might not. We can’t verify that at the moment and we can’t trust anything they say would be truthful anyway. Would we be able to create more of them, or… are there more elsewhere we might be able to retrieve?”

Valhalla, Transcended Knight of Jupiter
Location: Reception

It was a lot to think about. The storm was giving people scars, as Tempesti shared, and it was even more concerning that the scars seemed to be an indication of the strength of the creature.

“I’m glad you weren’t injured further,” he said with gentle sympathy and concern for Tempesti, who seemed to be rightfully alarmed. He gave her a small nod of support, hoping she knew he and the others were there to help in any way they could.

Another Senshi (Aberdonia) had found records of the creature on their World. Only these stories didn’t seem to be anything except obituaries.

Both Surtur and Oberon had mentioned it trying to tear through space, which was alarming enough if the Queen hadn’t agreed that they were correct.

“Valhalla of Jupiter,” he introduced before saying anything else, a hand placed over his heart in greeting to both the illusion of Queen Serenity and those who he had never met before.

“I know these two very well,” Valhalla said to the others around them, gesturing to both Senshi he was vouching for. Maybe it didn’t mean much to the others, but he hoped they knew they were all trying to fight the same thing.

“Surtur. Oberon. Where did you hear that?” he asked curiously.
He knew they were far from liars. Surtur might be one to exaggerate, but if Oberon -- a strict man of science -- claimed something was tearing through time, he had to have some way of backing it up.

He listened to the others patiently as well, although he was concerned they would run out of time before everyone had a chance to ask the Queen the most important questions. There was a time and place for free spirited fun, which he fully encouraged, but not in such a serious situation.

“Thank you,” Valhalla said politely with a kind smile when Murikabushi asked for clarification from Snowball. “I think Snowball is on a good track to ask,” he continued, but not before nodding to both Snowball and Niflhel whose shoulder he’d taken residence on, relief in seeing them clear in his expression. Along with other familiar faces that were showing up.

“These spikes,” Valhalla gestured, although he couldn’t quite hold back a warily nervous expression as Murikabushi handled his so casually. “They look like they’ve never been used. When you were in the prison, did you see where the old spikes had been placed? Queen Serenity said there were replacements-- the two we have now seem to be those replacement parts. Depending on the size of this creature, it would make sense to move the spike closer or farther apart. And if we don’t have the other four…”

He paused to glance over at Ganymede, who voiced his concerns. There was no guarantee that the Negaverse would offer their help, despite their honeyed words and vague promises.

Cynthus, Squire of the Moon, Rose, Page of Lysithea, and Yvoire, Squire of Ganymede

“You guys are seriously no fun,” Cynthus said with another roll of her eyes. She scoffed at Reims. “Of course Ganymede knows what she’s talking about. She’s ancient.” Thirty-one practically made her a senior citizen in Cynthus’ book. “And obviously I know it’s Metallia,” she told Ephesus. It was not at all obvious whether or not she actually knew that. She didn’t seem interested in proving it either.

Amarynthos got the remnants of the disgruntled frown she’d first directed at Reims, which left Dering as the only one safe from her displeasure. “Prince Endy-something. It’s not my fault he had a weird name.”

“Maybe Endymion?” Rose suggested, keeping her voice at a whisper so their conversation wouldn’t interrupt any of the much more important things being talked about. “Like in mythology?”

“Oh, yeah. I think that’s it, actually.”

Yvoire shifted nervously. He knew Cynthus was probably just trying to keep the mood light since she didn’t seem to have a liking for dramatic things unless she was the one being dramatic, but it definitely didn’t make Yvoire feel any better about the situation. The Earth was still in danger. Hell, every world out there seemed to be in danger, and though there was a way to trap the creature again, they might not even be able to.

He couldn't even tell Dad. Part of him desperately wanted to. It wasn’t fair that he had to keep secrets, that the Negaverse was so widespread he couldn’t even trust his identity to the one person in the world he could trust with everything else. What if this thing got to Earth and destroyed everything and Dad still had no idea what was happening? Yvoire identity wouldn’t matter then. Nothing would matter. Earth would be gone and they’d all be dead, and Dad would have never known the truth about what happened to Daddy.

Yvoire shifted from foot to foot again. He swallowed heavily, conflicted.

Cynthus scowled. She huffed and made an effort to listen in on what Serenity was saying. Cynthus knew enough faces there that she’d be able to get the information later if she missed anything. Ganymede always had a lot to say if you pestered her enough. Valhalla could tell her, too; he was there being a goody two shoes. Ew, and there was Sessrumnir brooding as always, looking like the biggest grump on Earth (or the moon now, actually). Alastor was with him, naturally; Cynthus couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen either of them without the other. And Oberon was there, too, being a huge nerd.

The rest Cynthus didn’t care for. Some of the faces were familiar from other gatherings in other places, but she obviously didn’t spend much time learning names. She looked over at Murikabushi, who Reims had already gotten snarky with, and… Cynthus was pretty sure she’d seen him somewhere before this. She also didn’t care to remember where. Had she gotten snarky with him, too? He seemed like the kind of person she could get snarky with, either alongside or against.

“Found the Pick Me,” she said, still in that same whispery voice that wasn’t actually quiet enough to be a true whisper.

“Shhhh, be nice.”

Eternal Sailor Oberon of Adventure

“I spoke with Commodore Lyndin,” Oberon shared when Valhalla asked, ignoring how his hands itched. Under his gloves were the scars from taking Caedus’ starseed back from the Lyndin. Touching the starseed had been excruciating, but it was the only way he could have revived his friend.

His friend, who could have potentially been saved if Senshi and Knights took a moment to re-evaluate their supposed higher morality and just collected renewable energy per the Vanguard’s request. But no. Too many decided they were better than that and forced Lyndin’s hand in taking Caedus’ starseed and having to seek refuge with the only consistently reliable faction when it came to energy gathering.

“He showed me the readings he was collecting. A gravitational distortion before every storm. Said it was like trying to break through a barrier. To take a ‘shortcut’ to wherever it can. The Commodore himself said it would be useful to know if there was a way to disrupt it,” Oberon shrugged and glanced back at the ghostly Queen.

“You say it goes where it pleases? When it can’t find a path, it’ll make one? Fine. What if we make a path for it? We’ve gotten into Negaspace -- the Dark Kingdom -- before. Let’s introduce a path there. If we can’t locate enough of these spikes to trap it, anyway.”

Super Sailor Solaris in Reception

Interesting. So... yes, in a way, a sort of ghost. Ish. They had limited time to take advantage of whatever information she did carry, though. She spotted Alastor and Sessrumnir joining the group, offering a relieved grin towards them. Perfect. Less to need to report! Plus, they probably had their own questions to add into the mix.

Some of Murikabushi's flowery way of speaking lost her a bit at times, or perhaps it was a mixture of that and just her head spinning trying to process everything at once, but she did perk up slightly when he mentioned them needing a replacement to cover the one the mural showed being broken. She glanced at the one she carried, hilt in one hand, point resting on the other. One of the Knights spoke up, Valhalla, and she turned slightly to him as he vouched for two of the other senshi and... Solaris hummed and nodded vaguely to his observations "I don't remember seeing the originals, but not the first time I've heard the idea these're the replacements, so pretty sure you're onto something with that." she said towards Valhalla, though briefly looked to Murikabushi in case he saw something she hadn't, then up to Queen Serenity. Lifting her voice, she clarified for the hologram and the rest of the room, "When I spoke to Commodore Lyndin, he posed a theory that the original spikes used to contain the serpent were made of inferior components, possibly rushed due to a lack of time to construct them. Following the trap being successfully activated around the serpent, the creators of the spikes were able to take more time to create higher quality, stronger replacements that they... were unable to use, for whatever reason. Do you know anything about this theory? Is there any way we can get back into that subchamber to get the other spikes if they're there?"

What Ganymede said also made sense--there was no guarantee the Negaverse had the other four, though more and more Solaris was groaning inwardly that she just really needed to go speak to some of the agents that had been pulled in with them.... she glanced back at Realta, brows furrowed a little in silent question. Though part of the wording from the Queen made part of her mind nag her--"You just said any Herald of the Dark Star... you're not suggesting there's more than one, are you? My grasp on English is relatively new, so pardon the request for clarification," she added with a genuine enough looking smile. Ignore how Kyrie had a driver's license. She'd had a while of non-stop studying to grasp the language enough to take the test, plus... well. Realta might have helped a bit. It was fine. Her clunky van couldn't go that fast, anyway.

Sometimes, semantics didn't matter. Sometimes, they really ******** did. She rather hoped this wasn't one of those occasions.

Mauvian Realta in Reception

As a small hand passed against hers, Realta's ears flicked and angled in attention to the source. Her fingers gently curled around Aquitania's, looking down to the young girl as she softly spoke. The reality was... heavy, and the Mauvian's ears dropped a little despite herself. Gently, she wound her skirt more around her legs as she crouched down delicately, bringing herself down to the child's level. It was a very heavy responsibility, and she'd not been unaware of it when awakening the girl. But knowing, being aware, being around others who could help her... in her mind, it was safer for Aquitania than to have lingered in blissful ignorance. Never mind if another youma had gone after her...

Before she could speak, though, another small body moved to join them. Realta could only smile, pleased by the other chibi's support to Aquitania. Already proving her unspoken point. Yes, there were dangers. Yes, they were frightening and very dangerous. But they could be kept safer, in her mind, through proper support, training, and the stronger, older senshi and knights working together. Something they did do, time and time again.

"Lovely to meet you, Eupheme. I'm Realta," she said softly, keeping her voice low as she could to restrict it to the girls' ears. She didn't introduce them both, however--she felt it was better for Aquitania to do so herself. Meet more people she could maybe someday count on. "And she's right, you know. Just by being here and learning all of this, you're doing an extraordinarily brave thing. You both should be very proud of yourselves," she said with a warm smile--even if she was sure there were plenty of others who'd very passionately disagree with her on that, and Realta wouldn't blame them in the slightest. In her ideal situation, families of chibis would be at least aware of the situation, understand at least to a degree what their child was up to, while also enabling the child to join other senshi and knights in protected situations and proper training.

Ideals rarely could be reality, however.

"If 'not liking any of this' was enough to make all this stop, I can assure you, we wouldn't be here right now. Do not forget though, you do have the choice on if you wish to power up or not. You are not lesser or greater for either choice, it is your own and what is best for you. Don't rush your learning. Your magic is still developing. Listen, learn, train. Give support from a safe distance if the situation allows. But do not endanger yourselves needlessly--you could distract others in a fight that way, and they, or you, or other people, could get hurt."

She knew of a few senshi who had been chibis, now... now were most certainly not, though she didn't like to think about the age difference that meant ugh... still, she made a mental note to converse with them when able, get their view of being a chibi senshi, see if they could give her suggestions for how to better help the younger ones. Her own concepts of what would help, might be just the opposite. The views of those who lived such things, their opinions and experiences, could better help her form an idea of how to be more efficient in helping these new senshi grow and learn.

The conversation around them, though, continued, and she listened here and there to the questions posed to the hologram of the Queen, information passed around. Slowly, she stood, keeping her hand gently around Aquitania's as she did so. She caught Solaris' look, ears flicking as she took in the content of the conversation at hand. Ah. Ganymede questioned if they could potentially create more spikes if needed. Reasonable. The Mauvian spoke up, addressing both Queen Serenity and the group, "Pardon the intrusion, but I wanted to share, and ask for clarification--a few Mauvians were able to scan one of the spikes, and we located within the metal a blood sample comparable to human blood. Do you know what the source of this could be? We have been unable to identify it, and if we were to recreate the spikes, how necessary is that component? Does it play a specific role in the function of the spikes?"

Her tail swayed easily behind her, more of an absent movement as she considered potential implications, or potential routes such questions could lead...

"And, if I may? I realize this is not entirely pertinent information, and you mentioned you can only assume your kingdom has fallen. What can you tell us of the war between the Moon Kingdom and the Negaverse? Queen Beryl? Can you hypothesize how the Moon Kingdom might have fallen? The Negaverse has an intense grip on the Earth now, but I can't imagine that was always the case. Can you offer us any insight on this history? We do not have many, if really any, means to learn about why we are fighting now, and I do believe that is important to know."

[x] Chibi Sailor Totoro. Late entering into the Reception

He'd heard whispers about the moon and that there was a palace there. The chibi senshi of raccoon decided he should go visit after all it sounded like something super serious was going on and maybe he could help! After all he was a super hero kinda sorta even if he had training wheels on so to speak.

He hadn't expected such a gathering and what sounded like a bunch of spit balled ideas, nor did he expect the hologram lady -- this was all really making him think there was a bunch of stuff out of star wars going on. The hologram lady must've been akin to Princess Leia. He scanned the crowd for someone he knew and he was in luck! He saw Realta with a bunch of chibis already around her. Which made him feel better because there were folks closer to his age and not these adults.

He made his way over and when he was close enough he waved to get Realta's attention "So . . . why is the Jedi counsel over here bickering?" He asked, because some of what he caught from Murikabushi's speech or whatever it was sounded like he was trying to debunk something or just start a fight maybe???

It sounded like they were looking for spikes though and maybe some sort of world eating creature? Serpent? Yuppp they were in a plot of some star wars spin off. "This sounds like a bad spin off plot." He added looking concerned.

Though he did like the one knight Valhalla he sounded like he was trying to keep the peace. And of course he watched Realta ask her questions to the hologram lady tilting his head. When she finished "Who's the hologram lady?" He had missed the introduction which was always the bane of showing up late to a party.

He then also looked at the others around Realta. "Oh, I'm Chibi Totoro." He said waving to the other chibis hoping they'd also introduce themselves.

Sailor Karaka of Aye-Ayes - pocketing glass shards, returning to reception

At Aberdonia's response the redhead looked more confused. Nonplussed even. She watched the find of the USB drive after some knight's sword was sheathed in the pedestal before she caught sight of a strange flickering light. She waved the others to pass by her before the light reappeared again. How strange was it that it was only appearing the shards of glass that lay all around. Karaka surreptitiously made the effort to locate the source of the illumination without much success and, acting on impulse, picked up a few of the shards of glass before causing them to vanish into the little pocket of subspace for later investigation.

Dusting off her hands the senshi of aye-ayes slowly trudged back towards the area where the free all you can eat snack buffet was calling her name.

The sight though that met her gaze when she arrived back in the reception area was that of intrigue. A lot of the others had gathered around a strange, flickering projection of a beautiful figure. Shrugging her shoulders even as the figure spoke to the crowd did Karaka simply keep her ears open at the conversation before she situated herself in close proximity to some of the snack bowls in order to simply munch. No one ever said that you couldn't take a time-out during a break and enter session.

[x] Eternal Sailor Hugbell. Entering into the Reception

Hugbell walked in there was already quite the crowd, she noticed right away the guardian cat Realta with several chibis around her. Hugbell moved over towards the group as she looked around the room listening to different voices talking.

Queen Serenity had spoken about she was a fragment of herself, that was concerning. The hologram mentioned standard protocol which this was not, and the fact she didn't have much time. The creature that they were dealing with the Calamitous Hollow, Benitonite had mentioned and well some of the other information she learned from the database or the negaverse agent. She frowned heavily. The fact the Queen did not know if the creature could be stopped for good was even more of a problem.

The senshi of comfort had a chill when the Queen mentioned not to let the creature get to full power after talking about how bad this creature was. The fact the lightning marks were lucky also concerned Hugbell. Tempesti asked when the injuries would become fatal, to be fair it was a good question but one Hugbell didn't want to know the answer to. There was a Saturn Knight and a White Cat, the cat had asked about how close the spikes were to each other.

Hugbell thought it was a fair question, maybe the other spikes wouldn't be difficult to find since it seemed like they knew how to find one. Murikabushi sounded fairly pompus to Hugbell as she looked over towards him and listened to his speil and questions, the senshi of comfort didn't think the cat's question was a bad one and felt fairly irritated.

However Ganymede speaking in assuming if there were only two spikes left and Valhalla mentioning it would make sense to move the spikes closer or further apart depending on the size of the creature had Hugbell wondering and directed a question towards Queen Serenity. "Do the spikes have to be in the same location as each other? Or could they be moved further apart, maybe in different locations; if we can successfully seal away the creature again? Could this prevent another breach?"

Hugbell heard Oberon mention that there was someone named Commodore Lyndin - obviously she'd been out of the loop in her own little bubble. When Oberon asked if they could just send it to Negaspace, Hugbell tried not to smirk but she didn't think that would work; it'd probably bust out unfortunately. With their luck she wasn't sure it was a good idea to try that.

There was a chibi in a Raccoon costume that wondered in and started making Star wars references, the Senshi of comfort tried not to shake her head as she looked towards Realta after the cat asked the question about making new spikes she smiled, "You look like you have your hands full, need some help?"
