Hobbies:

Costume Design — As a dancer, Abby loves all the costumes that she gets to wear. But she doesn’t just want to have the same old costume that everyone else is wearing! She wants to design her own. So with paper and crayons, and maybe a little marker and watercolor, Abby will draw (to the best of her ability) the types of outfits she would like to wear. Sometimes her parents will get one made for her, but it is always a little difficult to decipher a child’s drawings.

Plants — When she’s not working on her drawings, or practicing her martial arts or ballet, she is reading books (usually with lots of pictures) about household plants and how to care for them. She had some sunflowers planted over the summer, and for the end of summer and fall months she looks forward to growing pumpkins. She had some little succulents in her room by her window that she makes sure to take very good care of, and has a pretty good green thumb, despite her age.

Virtues:

Independent — Abby has always liked doing things by herself. Not on her own! She is happier when she is with her siblings or the rest of her family, but she is eager to learn and not let people look down on her just because she is a kid. She will courageously stand in line at a fast food restaurant to get herself and her siblings an ice cream (with her parents’ blessing) and will be very vocal if she is overlooked, whether on purpose or by mistake. She likes being able to help out around the house and do things like help make dinner because it gives her a sense of control over what is happening. She doesn't like being ignored or patronized and will let the offending party know.

Observant — A very visual learner, Abby likes being able to see what is going on around her. She will spend plenty of time watching her dancing or martial arts techniques in the mirror, and will study her plants to make sure they are all growing well. But she also makes observations of others, and often takes the time to run through different scenarios in her head before making a move to engage in a social interaction. Being able to understand others helps her to know when to expect resistance or friendliness.

Flaws:

Tenacious — Abby doesn’t back down when she knows she is right about something. While she is respectful to her parents, if other adults don’t show her respect, just because she is a child, she has no intention of holding back. She will cling to grudges, especially if her siblings or family or friends are wronged, and won’t be easily won over if a new relationship is set off on the wrong foot.

Nitpicky — Sometimes it’s difficult to not focus on the details. Like if someone was impolite or if the sequins on a costume isn’t sewn correctly. Or if music is being played off key, or if the color isn’t quite right on something, or clashes -- All kinds of things would get her feathers ruffled and she would likely complain about it many times, sometimes days or weeks later.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Golden, like her dad and grandmother.

Hair: Golden curls.

Face: Young, heart shaped face. No noticeable markings.

Skin Tone: Warmer caucasian but still pale.

Clothes: She likes wearing shorts under her many dresses and skirts because she is very active but also loves frills and ribbons. She will wear jeans, but will often try to get away with at least wearing some kind of tulle skirt over top.
