Hobbies:Hockey: It started as a way to get a younger Tory into sports. Tory's family didn't believe that she would stick to finishing off an entire season but she found that she loved the game. While she rarely plays ice hockey anymore there are times when she'll insert herself into a game of rink or road hockey in order to show off her skills ... as a goalie. Forget running or skating around chasing the ball or puck ... goal-tending was what she excelled at.
Horses/Horseback Riding: Once every weekend Tory is privileged enough to be able to take a horse out for a two hour trail ride. It's a payment of sorts that she worked out with the owner of the stables. She'll do chores like grooming, feeding, and mucking out stalls of the horses that the stable owns in order to earn her rides. Horses that are stabled there that are owned by others are off-limits.
Cycling: Perhaps because it's the closest sensation that Tory can get to the feeling of being on a horse, without being on one, that she's managed to find herself a sturdy bicycle that she uses daily, weather permitting. If she has to be somewhere it's more likely than not she'll be seen pedalling steadily to her destination. It's a great form of exercise and Tory knows it's good for the environment.
Virtues:Positive: Victoria has always believed in the power of staying positive. Sure everyone has their days where it seems like the sun has been chased away by clouds of doom and gloom but it will always get better afterwards. Her parents always call Tory their personal ball of sunshine because of how positive she remains.
Caring: There's one thing that Tory can't help but share with those around her: it is her, overly large, caring heart. It's just ingrained into who she is. She strives to do her best to cheer anyone up that is having a rough day. Whether the caring gesture is simply a kind word and a quick hug, or perhaps spending time with an acquaintance who is laid up with an injury ... Tory wants to be there, trying to brighten up the situation. This sense of caring even applies to the animals that she tends to.
Responsible: Tory is a person who knows the meaning of being responsible. She's worked hard to earn the titular honour. It was noticeable in her early days playing hockey via showing up for every practice and game. During her years in school she took it upon herself to maintain a respectable GPA in order to at least leave the option of further schooling on the table. If she makes a mishap, she is quick to own up to the fact. Nothing bothers Tory more than others who don't take responsibilities for their actions.
Flaws: Overbearing: Tying into her caring virtue, Tory sometimes comes off as too much caring in a short amount of time. If there's an acquaintance having a real tough time Tory's there in a heartbeat to attempt to cheer them up. Even when it seems that the root cause of the issue has been dealt with, Tory is determined to stick around to make doubly sure that everything is finally okay. Pushing back gives her incentive to doubt and she'll linger as a result.
Stubborn: Pigheadedness would be another name for this. Victoria is stubborn. There's just no getting around the fact that she doesn't like taking no for an answer. She'll dig in her feet and refuse to budge on anything that she doesn't agree with. Whether it's a friend who might be making an attempt to shoo Tory away once they've begun to feel better or perhaps the way in which she decides her room has to be tidied or how a horse stall needs to appear ... she's not going to be satisfied until she believes it herself.
Restless: You know that feeling that one gets when they believe they are meant to be someplace else ... anywhere else? That's Tory. More often than not this manifests somewhat negatively in Tory's life. She'll lose focus on what she's supposed to be doing or just as similarly become bored. It ends up resulting in her wanting to move onto another task, even if the first one hasn't been completed. There's this underlying current inside that makes it appear like Tory's continuously on edge.
Victoria always feels this inner pull that whispers to her that perhaps staying in one place isn't healthy but what can she do? She's lived in Destiny City all her life. Sure there's the weird reports all the time that speak of inexplicable events but this is home. And you know the saying: home is where the heart is ... and Tory's heart is definitely here. But still - her feet want to wander.
