It’s hot outside. It’s dark. Sometimes, a firework lights up the sky, or the city lights flicker strangely.

Sometimes, you can explain the strange, pitch black fissures that seem to appear out of nowhere and hover mid air for a few seconds.

Sometimes, you can’t.

Tonight, you can’t.

There’s no escaping it. They’re everywhere.

It’s not just one here or there; they’re rapidly appearing, sometimes two or three at a time. There for a minute, gone.

Along with whoever was close enough to get sucked into them.

The air around these passages is almost always cool, in stark contrast to the intense summer heat. Sometimes it seems like an icy pocket locked to one space, sometimes you can feel the air current.

There’s a magnetic pull that draws you towards the gaping blackness, into it.

It’s as if something has clawed right through reality, right through this universe to trap you in another one.

Wherever it is, it’s a dark, sticky world. You can’t make out the details of the ceiling or any walls. It seems open, like it stretches in all directions. The ground beneath your feet is solid. Sometimes people are dropped onto the ground level. Sometimes from a few feet above.

It almost seems like you’re stuck in some sort of cave; mushrooms and moss and a sticky blackness cover the rocky terrain, and it smells dank and moldy. It’s not clear how anything could live down here, so it’s best you be a little extra careful. There doesn’t seem to be any real light in the area, and yet there’s a supernatural glow to illuminate just enough to get around.

It’s blue, purple. Dark.

Sometimes, you can see city lights through the rapidly forming and disappearing passageways. Sometimes, it looks like little glowing wisps of light appear through one hole only to be sucked right back in. Sometimes, you can see fierce, golden eyes that watch you until the fissure melts closed.

An uncomfortable hum of energy covers the area.

Phones and other general electronics seem to immediately malfunction and may drop to low battery rapidly before dying. It’s impossible to power up–or down, once you arrive.

People are rapidly filling up the platform with you. It seems like you might never run out of space, but it’s starting to get a little crowded–and there’s no telling if an ally or an enemy’s going to pop up next to you, next.

You’d best get yourself grounded and try to figure out what’s going on here.

Quote:
Well, that’s it. Destiny City’s falling apart. Again.

This time, it seems like it’s being torn apart at the seams, and you’ve been sucked into a strange, between-world pocket dimension–and you’re not the only one. People from all over Destiny City are arriving with you. Maybe you wanted to see what was inside, maybe you didn’t have a choice.

No matter how you got here, you’re stuck. There doesn’t seem to be a way out, and any time a new tear appears, there’s only enough time for someone to come tumbling out.

But, you can feel the energy in the air, and sometimes in the distance it looks like the sky is rippling.

Like there’s something big about to happen.

You should probably take this time to figure out who you’ve got to watch your back when it does.

This ORP is open to characters from all factions, including civilians! It will count as a regular roleplay for a civilian character but provided a powered character participates in any combat this can be used as a battle requirement. Civilians will be at a disadvantage narratively, but there is room for everyone to participate! You can play as many characters as you like, but players are discouraged from participating with more characters than they can reasonably play during the event. We strongly encourage players to fill out prompts as they go and make a genuine effort to backfill as soon as possible if they are not able to fill out their post immediately. You should not have more than one unfilled post at a time; you may reserve a post if you have the intention of responding quickly but please do not reserve a new post before filling out the last. There is no need to reserve posts between prompts; there will not be any dice rolls or repercussions from missing prompts. You can post as often as you like between mule posts.

Players must put their character’s name and a link to their journal at the top of their posts.

This ORP ICly takes place on Saturday, July 3rd so it is forward dated to the last day of the event. ICly it will last for about an hour. Characters who have been sucked through the strange rifts will be able to participate in an upcoming prompt but cannot join just yet.

The next ORP prompt will be put up in ~48 hours but prompts will regularly be posted ~every 72 hours. The time between final prompt and closing prompt will also be ~48 hours and the ORP will close on Sunday, July 3rd. You can join the ORP at any time, up until the final prompt when new participants will no longer be permitted.

There will be no dice rolling in this ORP; there are no rewards for being the highest roller or more active and this event was designed to be a little relaxed. Players will be able to both enter at any point in time and will be able to remove their characters from the central part of the ORP if they need to without suffering any IC repercussions. There are no repercussions if a player misses a prompt. Any player who participates with any character (or characters) and writes at least 500 words will be eligible for rewards at the end of this roleplay; playing multiple characters will not yield multiple rewards so you only need one to participate. More information about this will be available in the next prompt!

As soon as you write 500 Words to the ORP, you can claim it for your Individual Participation Prizes, Gold Star Award, and Bingo Completion! The ORP does not need to be finished for you to do this.

The next prompt will be posted ~7 PM EST on Sunday, June 19th!

Chibi Super Sailor Leaena
Cheetahs

Chibi Super Sailor Leaena was backing up her brother and sister, Eternal Sailor Etamin, and Super Sailor Pasithee, along with their Guardian Cat Darius Ammun in a very bad battle and a very dangerous environment right in the heart of Destiny City. Reality seemed to be ripping apart around them and the thing that they were fighting did not seem to care... or to even notice. It kept sending lightning volts their way. Nothing seemed to work against it. Screams were heard all across Destiny City as people were taken, and as loved ones were snatched. Etamin and Pasithee finally vanquished the beast and dusted it. Normally, this would the part where Leaena would be shouting in triumph, but somehow, she didn't like it at this moment. Etamin called the four of them to a huddle, amid the raging wind, and over it he shouted to them that they had to help everyone evacuate the city. Etamin turned to Leaena and Darius Ammun and shouted over the wind, "You wanted to be treated like adult warriors, now is your chance. We need adults of everyone. Darius stick with me, Leaena go with Pasithee, do what she says, and be careful!"

The two groups headed out. Pasithee led Leaena to a nearby apartment building where some people were trapped. They were helping some people out of an elevator that had gotten trapped between levels, and Leaena administered first aid. The building shifted ever so slightly, and a little boy standing just a little too close to the still open elevator well slipped and was falling down the well, when Leaena grabbed his hand and pulled him back. Unfortunately, in the process, Leaena lost her own footing and started to fall down the elevator well herself - and even as a Chibi Senshi, this should have been fine, along with her training, she should have been able to land on her feet and jump back up.

Fate was not fair to her, as at that moment a hole ripped in reality right behind her, and sucked her in. She had no way to fight it. The last thing she heard of her own home reality was her sister Pasithee screaming her name in distress. "Leaena! NO!"

Leaena found herself in a deep dank cave place, that seemed to blue one moment and purple the next, there were mushrooms and fungi and fog. There were others around her and more kept coming through the rips, but no one seemed to be able to get out. She got out her phone which had been fully charged a moment ago, but now seemed to be dead. It also seemed that some civilians were attempting to power up but were stuck powered down. On the other hand, some powered beings were stuck powered up.

There seemed to be some big nasty thing watching them, waiting.

A rip opened up in the distance, just long enough for her to see and hear her brother Etamin (who thankfully was too far from the rip to be sucked in) make vow to her, "By the Cauldron, my sister, Leaena, Pasithee and I will anything in our power to get you back!"

Yuri/Erytheia of Cosmos

Well, that’s it. Destiny City’s falling apart. Again.

… and, if it wasn’t Destiny City, it was his world, Erytheia.

… and, if not either of those, it was himself, Yuri.

Something was always falling apart at the seams.

The young man with the amber eyes that briefly shined before going dark again preferred the first, if he had to choose.

Erytheia did not know where he was, but he did know where he had been — Destiny City. So, he was likely still there and not on his homeworld or in his own mind. Well, while he could check off Erytheia (the wonder) and Erytheia (the person) as places he definitely wasn’t, he couldn’t quite say for certain he was in Destiny City.

This place seemed different than any location he had seen in the city (or even in Japan where he had been for awhile before). Wherever he was, he’d never been here before. And there was light only enough for him to see just a bit in front of him.

Whatever this was, it wasn’t good.

Morpheus Dark Mirror of Surreality

Morpheus sighed well here we go at last Destiny City had finally reached its limit and was doomed there would be no more second chances it was just over. The city would fall into the rift or something and be destroyed. He frowned looking at the mess and he wondered if there was a white moon with an idea for saving the city. He found himself in another weird pocket but this time he was with a lot of other factions. This was not good for anyone. He sighed yet again and waited to see how this mess was going to turn out.

---------------------

Sailor Dejanira

Dejanira had barely arrived when she was pulled into something strange she hadn't even had time to enjoy any of the festival. She frowned and looked around wondering what was going on. She stood off to the side of the strange area and just waited to see what was going to happen. Nothing had been going right since they had that battle and the energy had been messed with. The city had somehow managed to become more strange than it had been before and that was saying something about this city when it was already as strange as it was.

-----------------------

Hendone Elpis Michel

Henny had been skateboarding around the festival and chasing strange colored lights everywhere. She didn't know what the deal was with the weird stuff she saw in the city. It was like this every day. Rainbows in the sky, rainbows flying around. She didn't believe a thing about any of the rumors. She figured that there was something in the water like a low level of LSD that made everyone in the city see weird stuff. It affected her too but it could also be the heat. It had been really hot in the city lately after all. She figured this next part was no different than that dream she had when she was stuck in the creepy village.

None of it was real, she must have fallen off her skateboard and hit her head, no biggy she would wake up in the hospital later and everything would be back to normal. She looked around at the other figures in the dream. They were dressed strangely as they often were. No biggy yet again. Whatever it was just a dream. "So what is this dream about?" She asked out loud. She didn't really expect anyone to answer her and if they did whatever.

--------------------------

Lacaille senshi of books

Lacaille had been out and about during the festival. She was confused when she saw the strange stuff and then found herself stuck in a weird place with a lot of others from other factions. Well ok then. This wasn't good. She moved off to the side and waited to see if this was another battle. She hoped this wasn't a battle. She wasn't very good at battles. She could affect the emotions of humans she couldn't really affect monsters and other things. She was nervous, she started to wring her hands and fret about the situation. She sat down and tried to calm down, she often let her emotions get the better of her.

----------------------------

Corrupt Senshi Actaea

Actaea hadn't really been doing anything special but she still found herself stuck in a strange place with a lot of people for no reason she could imagine. This city was a lemon nothing good had happened lately and it seemed like nothing good was going to happen. It was broken down. She frowned and crossed her arms she didn't plan on making friends in this situation. She had her group with the nega and she worked for them and nothing more. That was all there was to it. The guardian cat had said that she was sad and conflicted but she disagreed with the cat.

------------------------------

Vaina Moinen

Vaina had just sat down on a bench across from a booth and fallen asleep and that was where she was when she ended up in the space with the others. She was still sleeping. She hadn't woken up yet and likely wouldn't wake up unless she had to. She was a heavy sleeper. She loved sleep and was unlikely to give up her nap unless she was forced on the subject. She was dreaming about nothing in particular. She just loved her sleeping time, there wasn't much else she loved more than that. She snored lightly a little sound here and there.

Alexander Ortiz | Unawakened Sailor Telesto

The Star Festival was beginning, and Alexander was excited. He'd never had the chance to really participate since living in Destiny City, but this year the stars had aligned; no pun intended. He had a few days off between case prep and could really get the fun of the festival. He even had a fun date planned during the festival, it was looking like a good time.

Then it was suddenly looking dark. He had been walking down the block to pick up a snack from the store, when his vision went black. A moment later and he was falling, his feet instinctively folding up to his chest as he braced, hitting the ground after and rolling a bit. His head whipped up a moment after, looking around. A cave? Maybe, but he couldn't make out much in this dim glow, nor could he find where the glow was coming from. His hands felt along the ground, instantly pulling back as he felt something sticky. That was never good.

"Uh..." He hummed for a moment, looking around at the few others present, his head turning as he heard more falls to the ground. "Anyone know what's going on?"

Triton Cless // Lt. Zultanite

If Zultanite had a dime for every time some weird portal had sucked him off -- and into another 'place' -- well, he'd have at least two dimes. Which, that wasn't a lot, but it was still weird that it'd happened twice by his own reckoning. Once when he'd joined, and now?

The new sky overhead thrummed with *energy*, Zultanite shuddered against the feel of that, the pulsing thrum that felt like a stormbreaking overhead; but looked like nothing he could define. Felt everything tilt as more bodies came in, and in, and into the chockful space that was seemingly endless...

Maybe it was just sheer luck that it'd only happened twice? Maybe this was some Requiem of a Dream type; butterflies-flapping-hurricane-catastrophe? Whatever it was. Zultanite wanted less than no part of it. Wanted to sum zero his play in this game. How a simple act of heading out had lead to this? He didn't need the headache figuring all that out would bring, and worked instead on picking out sensible clues to his 'where' - worried far more about an out than whatever face lived on whichever new shape of person came tumbling in - every in had an out.

There was no way they were---

Coady was at home, asleep, safe, and he'd just been out with friends. Ready to put his keys into the door of a dark red, beat in Camaro, and now this, here --<********..." weirdness be damned. Same as any friend or foe, he had things worth getting home to. DC could sort it's own problems without keeping him fly-trapped in it's strange-a** glue-paper. Maybe if he could find a General? A Captain? Someone with a little umph in their pow to snap them straight outta the dim n dismal surroundings.

At least, he hoped someone above him could --- that sort of s**t seemed inherent, automatic? No way even Metallia was cut off from this place, was there?

Syrus Schreyer // Basic Corrupt Cryolite Sublimation

Gut-punched, cold, irritated. A brick wall full of nothingness that suddenly became an eerie elsewhere. An other he couldn't comprehend. Not even with his faintest bit of exposure to the Citadel. Cryolite was unused to. This. The sensory flare of hot-bled-cold had been the thing to trigger his plight, that inkling of 'ohno' itching away at the back of his intellect. The idea that the physical sensation occurring was something to be wary of; far more than the sucking shadows and their faintly ominous glows -- A thing seen was not nearly as deadly as a thing felt -- but he couldn't teleport, which cut his fleeing from the suddenly appearing portal down into something flat and based on his lesser-than 'athletic skills'; sooo the pace of a fish crawling across dry land...and now that he was...well? At some doorless void point in the vast realm of '???'

There was no telling---

His tech didn't work---cellphone, tablet, penlight! Static, dead, dying - useless heaps of plastic soldered to silicone n wastes of energy cells.

It was far too quiet...

Until he realized that it wasn't. Not too dark, too quiet, too...Slowly Cryolite pulled himself together, realized that what there was? Was a bevy of distant voices that broke some of his own self-imposed tension. Soft sounds, the barest of echo's, glowing things that clung to -- ceilings -- walls - were they wet? Liminal?

It really didn't matter, people seemed the safety net, regardless of 'faction'. Faction could find a ledge to ******** itself off of for all he cared in that moment. Dying in a cave he hadn't chosen to enter was literally on the bottom of his list labeled: 'All the Ways Syrus Should Die'.

In fact? It wasn't even on the list!! Something he'd correct at a later date.

Much later. Infinitely so. With that all rattling round, Cryolite took stock. Himself. A platform - ah -- and moved deeper into the throng of *people*---

[SENSHI] Anniliese Mathieu//Super Sailor Tjilaki

Anniliese had wanted to do some patrolling or training. She had been for the last couple of months trying to get back into the role of being a Senshi. She was still feeling like this is not the role for her, that she was not built for this. But She still powered up every night. The only thing she really liked about it was getting to meet new people and develop new friendships. One minute she was out walking around and the next she was in a strange place with people. She was confused and nervous all at the same time. It was probably another threat, another thing that came with the job of being a Senshi.

((117))

[SENSHI] Inayah Adkins//Sailor Zenobia

Zenobia was suited up in her Sailor uniform. She was outside running around. Ever since being a Senshi and finding out that she could power up and wear this beautiful outfit she had been doing it every day. She looked and felt cute. She always did it in the comfort of her backyard. She had no neighbors and her parents were barely home. But tonight was different. Way different. One minute she was twirling around, the next she was in a weird-looking place with other people. Some of them wearing cute outfits like her, and some were wearing regular clothes.

"What in the world?"

Spei, Page of the Moon

Darkness. Spei looked around and all he could see was darkness. Occasionally a rift would open for an instant, revealing Destiny City beyond wherever it was he had found himself, but it was only the briefest of glimpses. Sometimes he saw glowing eyes, but again it was only a fleeting glimpse before all was darkness again.

At least it was cool here, wherever here was.

The Moon Page pondered how he'd ended up here. One moment he was bounding down a side street, the next he felt himself falling into blackness. He only avoided landing on his backside by instinctively rolling as he hit the bottom. Now he stood, feeling the presence of others here, and waited, senses on alert for trouble. If it was any consolation, they were all in this mess together, regardless of faction.

Lovely Belrose, civilian (to his great regret)

Corrupt Super Cymophane

Cymophane fell into a fissure and landed in an ungraceful heap upon the ground.

Ow...” he said, even if he hadn’t fallen far. A few feet, maybe. Enough that he couldn’t get his feet back under him in time to land on them, but not so much that he risked injury. He scrambled back up quickly, disentangling himself from his long hair as he did so.

The more he found himself in these sorts of situations, the more he thought Kamacite had the right idea about cutting it.

Cymophane looked around to get his bearings, but nothing jumped out at him as particularly suspicious. Well, a lot of things that happened in Destiny City should probably be classified as suspicious, but he was used to it now, so it wasn’t that weird. Mostly just inconvenient. At least there didn’t seem to be any Princess involved this time.

He hoped…

Glancing around the place alerted him to the fact that Reidite had tumbled into the fissure with him. “So much for making our quota tonight.”

-------

Sailor Ymir

Ymir had been warned: Odd things happened in Destiny City.

Destiny City seemed to be an odd place, so he wasn’t shocked to learn of its strange happenings. Earth itself was odd. One Chaos that was the Negaverse, and one that was the Dark Mirror Court, with various other concerns in between. Ymir still had no idea how Earth hadn’t been completely consumed yet.

He didn’t think it should be his problem either, but here he was — on Earth.

Was he still on Earth? A strange power whisked him there in the first place, and now he found himself elsewhere by some other strange power. Or was it the same power? It didn’t seem to be, but what did he know about any of it, really?

Whatever the case, there were others present — more than he’d seen at any given time on Earth so far, given that he tended to stay close to the shelter he’d been offered. None of the figures were immediately familiar, which wasn’t surprising but… discouraging. This whole ordeal was discouraging.

As was life itself.

Why was it still his burden to bear?

Lieutenant Reidite

Reidite didn’t care where they were, as long as Cymophane was okay. He’d seen the fissure open up, saw how it pulled Cymophane into it, and immediately dove in to follow him.

He’d landed in his own miserable heap a little ways away, but his attention was immediately on the Senshi with him.

“Are you okay?” he asked as he pushed himself up and quickly made his way over to fuss. Oh, there was dirt in Cymophane’s hair, and on his clothes. He knew better than to offer his jacket, because Cymophane was stubborn and would just refuse.

There were others there, but Reidite didn’t care. And he cared even less about his quota.

“We should look for a way out. Maybe if another of those tears open,” he grumbled and looked around, just now starting to take in their surroundings.

General Faustite

Then came another light.

This one offered no more brilliance than the dim glows illuminating the cavern. This one was a fervent, blustering orange that brought with it an undeniable, sweltering heat. It was framed into a body of a boy — hewn into his solar plexus.

That boy was General Faustite, and he was livid. As he landed in this cursed, blackrot dump, he cast a sharp look about, caring very little for the smattering of White Moon wastrels that looked three parts confused and one part fascinated. Of those present, he spotted only one of his team, and one boy who may know where Kamacite was. Even if this was some otherworldly space, he hadn't laid eyes on any of his missing boys. Whoever did this to them would be spared no part of his enmity.

He forced himself to take stock of the area before he beelined to any of those present. Dim, even by the light of his own glow. Someplace dank, murky, not unlike the cave systems they once traversed in the Rift. But it stood apart from those spaces — he caught glimpses of parts of the city, present for a few fleeting seconds, before they collapsed into dank, blank wall. Like a smattering of taunts to remind them of whence they came and couldn't return. They were each vanished into this mess, kidnapped from the city they knew and defended, and now they were here. In mixed company.

"Cryolite," he hissed as he wove through a group of captive individuals. His weaving was made easier by the ones who were spooked by his appearance and retreated from him. At least he needn't worry about Cryolite spotting him in all this darkness.

And there was —

"Cymophane." That Yuuri's roommate was here seemed promising. "Where's Kamacite?"

Syrus Schreyer // Basic Corrupt Cryolite of Sublimation

A sight for sore eyes, and the bit of blindness caused by suddenly staring into the pissed, pyre-light center of his General was eased with a few watery blinks. Cryolite shoved his way past bodies, into the wave of heat on blast, but he'd rather be closer to that -- than to the eyes that edged the walls and peered through every new snap-close portal and icy-cold void.

"Faustite," utter relief, and he didn't know who Kamacite was, but? Peering at the --*BOW*: leopard printed blond who was far more bow than human-being!

What the hell was with Senshi Fuku?!! Whatever!

He hoped Kamacite wasn't where they were, was home safe in a bed, or on a vacation, or -- with the rest? "Hopefully he's somewhere safer than *here*." icy whisper pressed between a clench of teeth while he kept his head on a swivel.

Dark Mirror Eternal Sailor Acubens
Acubens had been minding her own business. Well, minding her own business and her brother's business. He'd been so quiet about his new love interest and it was quite literally killing Acubens. He'd never kept a secret from her in their lives and while she supposed this was paltry payback for her faking her death and living in Destiny City under an assumed name for years after willingly corrupting... she wished he wouldn't. She'd even spent the better part of the evening hanging off of his arm and whining, begging him for any information.

Or she had been until they were both sucked into a pocket dimension.

Acubens cursed loudly, ignoring the look her brother fixed her with when she did.

"Gods, I hate it here," she hissed, shivering from the electric feeling of energy rolling over her shoulders.

"Here as in... here? Or Destiny City," Tegmine asked, barely containing a laugh.

"Either," she answered, "Both. Whichever."

Regardless of what she meant or where they were or what was happening, Acubens had to keep her and hers in mind. While everyone else was forming teams, she sent her senses and cast her eyes around in search of any other Mirrors loitering around.

And found Morpheus.

Their last meeting had been less than ideal, and he hadn't made the best impression, but he was still one of their court. And so Acubens sidled up next to him with Tegmine on her other side and nodded in greeting.

MiddyGlow

Dark Mirror Sailor Tegmine

Acubens was trying his best to weasel information out of him, but Tegmine was not having it. Instead he laughed and deflected, trying to distract her when he could. Acubens was, however, just as relentless as she'd always been, and would not be deterred. She kept asking the same thing in different ways but to no avail. But Tegmine figured that if she could keep her whole identity a secret for years, he could keep his girlfriend a secret for a little while longer.

And then priorities changed.

Before Tegmine could really process what had happened, Acubens was already banging on all cylinders. He laughed despite himself.

"Gods, I hate it here," she hissed, and Tegmine laughed again, this time louder.

"Here as in... here? Or Destiny City," Tegmine asked, only just getting himself together enough to do so.

"Either," she answered, "Both. Whichever."

Which was fair. Tegmine wished the city would keep it together long enough to breathe, and he wished that this place... didn't exist. He mirrored his sister's shuddering, trying to shake the feeling of someone creeping up from behind and failing.

A moment later his sister fell into leadership mode, making a beeline for the nearest dark mirror she could find. He lined up on her other side, noting the lack of exuberant greeting. She either didn't like or didn't know this man.

Squire Lourdes

Lourdes hadn't powered up much since the incident with Danalite. She'd ******** up, and she was too ashamed to do anything else but feel sorry for herself. She'd tried to save that girl... she really had. but despite her best efforts... or maybe because of them... she'd died anyway. Lourdes knew that it wasn't her fault, she hadn't taken the seed out of her chest and she hadn't given it to the Agent, but it was hard to fully believe that. She had, after all, jostled her enough to bite down. How could she not feel like she murdered that girl.

The only consolation Lourdes had was that the agent had been visibly distressed by her magic.

So it figures that when she powered back up, Lourdes would be sucked into alternate dimension where her nerves were lit on fire by whatever was running through the air. She cursed under her breath and looked around, first and foremost, for someone to ally herself with. In lieu of her brigade, she started trying to find knights who could work with her.

Eternal Sailor Cybele

Siegfried was gone.

There was no way that Cybele could pretend it was nothing when he didn't come home, not after what had happened with Ganymede.

Not after what had happened to her.

Her steps were still crooked and her feet still ached if they rubbed the wrong way on her shoes. She would have preferred some practice walking around the house and perhaps the grocery store before she started powering up and stalking the streets as Cybele, but she didn't have that choice right now.

Siegfried was gone, and she had to find him.

Only, about five minutes into looking for him, she was found herself sucked into some strange, dark space too. She sucked in a breath through her teeth, registering auras around her as she struggled to get her bearings.

Corrupt Super Cymophane

Cymophane put up with Reidite’s fussing because that was what Reidite did. Refusing him the opportunity would only make him fuss worse.

“I heard stuff like this happens all the time,” Cymophane told him. “People getting whisked off to far off places. First time it’s happened to me. It’s kind of neat. Wish I had my camera.”

He already had a video title in mind. I tripped and fell into a magical world! (Not Clickbait!!!)

No time to worry about that. Faustite was there, all burny and bright and asking about Kamacite.

“Good question,” Cymophane said. He twisted and turned like he meant to look for his friend, but didn’t actually expect to find him there. What were the odds they both got magiced away? (Probably pretty high, in Destiny City.) “We were supposed to meet up in a little while, but… this place doesn’t have the best lighting. Makes you look even cooler, though, honestly.”

He smiled and offered a chipper wave to the Corrupt Senshi with Faustite, always happy to meet another of his kind. “I heard people’ve been disappearing. Got a panicked earful from Aquamarine about it a few days ago. I guess loverboy's gotten himself gone again. I wonder if this is where everyone's been disappearing to. Kamacite’s been fine up ‘til now, so unless he fell into one of those weird space crack things, too, he’s probably still in the city.”
