Fav. Food: The Texan in him still misses being able to go to New Orleans fairly easily and eat cajun food. In particular, he really loves jambalaya, and whenever he gets the chance to eat some legitimate jambalaya, he'll go out of his way to get it.
Hated Food: If it comes from a fast food chain, he probably hates it.
School: He graduated from Destiny City University with his doctorate in chemistry a few years ago. He actually hasn't left DCU, either: he's now a member of the chemistry department, primarily as a researcher, but also as a professor for a couple advanced classes. Before then, he attended undergrad and below in San Antonio, Texas.
Hobbies: "It's my chemical love affair." -- Zebulon has loved chemistry ever since he could read the texts. The idea that everyone and everything is built together by little atoms chained together in certain combinations instantly caught his attention. The moment his parents deemed him old enough, Zebulon started running experiments in his own bedroom.
The idea that certain atoms built up in certain ways could also be so detrimental, so harmful, so lethal--that caught his attention later on. His fascination with such damaging chemicals may be seen as creepy by some, but Zebulon loves them. Perhaps it’s a good thing that he’s a researcher; odd knowledge about occasionally taboo subjects isn’t exactly unexpected of a professor. It's also not uncommon to find him in the lab, mixing chemicals in the combinations his research dictates -- often more dangerous than immediately helpful.
"Can't make this s**t up." -- Zebulon is an avid people watcher. When he goes out to public places, one of his favorite things to do is sit somewhere and watch other people throughout their days. The way people react to each other and their environment is fascinating to him, albeit often in a snide way. He enjoys predicting what people may do next after a certain amount of time watching them, too, and if sat next to, enjoys providing a running commentary on the "show" he's watching...
"I’m a collector. Of spots." - Zebulon’s cleanest vice is probably his most obnoxious one: he loves leopard print. A lot. … Like, a whole lot. If he sees something in a leopard print pattern, he’s likely to buy it, even if he never actually uses the item. It doesn’t matter if it’s a shower curtain, an obnoxious speedo, or even just a pillow. In some ways, it’s become a game. While he legitimately enjoys leopard print, and spends a lot of time seeking it out on purpose to add to his … collection, he may occasionally purposefully buy leopard print things even he knows are obnoxious just to draw a reaction out of his friends.
Virtues: "Doesn't Bother Me." - Zebulon is easy-going and even-tempered. He's not bothered by much, and if he is, he's rather good at hiding it. Zebulon will tend to crack sarcastic or witty jokes even in the most grave of situations. It's not that he can't take things seriously, and in fact when at his job he tends to be very serious. That doesn't change his general demeanor, though -- whether in work or out of work, Zebulon tends towards a calm, collected nature and, consequently, tends to deal with stress rather well.
"I Got It!" - It's hard to find a situation that he cannot find a way to deal with. Where some people might see impossibility, Zebulon easily sees possibility. Perhaps aided by his ability to keep calm, his mind quickly absorbs information and what's around him, and in short order, presents him with ways to deal with the situation to either end up ahead or to end up simply out of his predicament. That is not to say he is perfect at what he does, of course. There are situations which can trip him up, but more often than not, he can at least find something to do.
"I Lie Waiting." - Zebulon’s patience knows nearly no bounds. Lab work has never been a problem for him, so long as he has something to read. People rarely ever wear his patience out, either; watching events play out takes time, after all. Bounded perhaps only by a particularly good idea or his husband, Zebulon's patience can seem unending. Combined with his easy-going nature, it can make him seem unphased by much of anything.
Flaws: "What’s The Problem?" - Smirking, snarky, devious, and more than a little sarcastic, Zebulon enjoys needling others (and even himself on occasion) perhaps a little too much. Combined with some level of intellectual snobbery, he can come off as an a*****e, even unintentionally. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to care a whole lot about others’ opinions of his behaviours. It’s probably too much to ask to ask him to knock it off unless he’s being egregiously offensive, but he isn’t typically cruel. The more he gets to know someone, the more it turns from seemingly snide mockery to playful needling, which is a little easier to put up with for most -- and he can also take what he dishes out.
"I'm a Private Individual." - Good luck getting Zebulon to talk about himself in any detail. Beyond the obvious, he's not really the type to talk about anything personal unless he's already gotten attached to a person. There's no need for him to share, so he doesn't. He doesn't really have much in the way of friends as a consequence, even if he seems to have many, many acquaintances who he will wave at and greet. He can talk for miles on about absolutely nothing, which, if people do realize, can make him hard to trust, too.
"You’ll Owe Me." - Zebulon is not necessarily the altruistic type. He'll help close friends and family when they need it, but strangers and even acquaintances and further friends are often out of luck. 'Why can't you do it?' he'll ask. What does he get out of it? What do they bring to the table in exchange for his time, his money, and/or his services? He's not cold-hearted, but cool-hearted? Likely. It's difficult to appeal to a sense of sympathy with Zeb, and he will absolutely remember that someone said they owed him a favour. He'll remind them, too, when it's opportune for him... even if it's not opportune for anyone else.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: Light, sky blue, can seem a bit gem-like in certain lighting. He normally wears contacts, but can occasionally be found wearing thin-rimmed glasses as well depending on the day.
Hair: Dark chestnut, cut fairly short to his head with a bit of fluff remaining on top. He also has a significant amount of facial hair in the form of stubble. While he's tried shaving it a few times, he's got a bit of a five o'clock shadow and can't seem to get rid of it even if he wants to.
Face: In general, Zebulon has strong facial features. He has a strong, squared jaw line that tapers towards a squared chin, a strong, straight nose, and strong brows. His heritage is a combination of Mexican and Ethnic Jewish, which has resulted in a tan skintone.
Clothes: An expanded budget has admittedly expanded out some of what he wears, and it's not terribly uncommon to find Zebulon in a wide variety of button-ups and nice, comfortable jeans. He has jeans for all kinds of situations, and even jokes that he has black wash formal jeans ... but no, seriously. He does wear pants that aren't denim, but it's certainly not common. He also has an odd addiction to leopard print patterning, and it isn't unusual to find at least a pop of it somewhere on his person.o3

Definitely can hold liquids, but not very useful by itself. Squire Weapon: His beaker now has a more traditional look, resembling a clay beaker. At this stage, it’s relatively small. Promethei begins to channel his magic by tipping his beaker as if to pour it. An ethereal, fiery liquid will drip out. Up to two targets will feel compelled to share knowledge that they have learned, especially knowledge that they likely should not tell Promethei. It is possible to fight this sensation off with a strong enough will, and Promethei cannot force anyone to reveal their civilian identity. Promethei may ask specific questions of his targets in an attempt to get specific information from them, but the results of this can vary: he may get the answer he is looking for, or if the target(s) have a strong enough will, they may accidentally reveal something else instead -- for example, what underwear they prefer! Promethei can channel this magic for up to 30 seconds. After channeling, the ethereal liquid disappears. Knight Weapon: Promethei once again has a clay beaker. While it retains the shape of a beaker, at this stage, it is larger in size and appears more ornate. It now hangs from a chain attached from the top, making it easier to carry. Promethei swings the beaker, allowing ethereal, fiery liquid to spill out from it. His enemies within a 10 ft radius will feel compelled to share knowledge that they have learned, especially knowledge that they likely should not tell Promethei. It is possible to fight this sensation off with a strong enough will, and Promethei cannot force anyone to reveal their civilian identity. Promethei may ask specific questions of his targets in an attempt to get specific information from them, but the results of this can vary: he may get the answer he is looking for, or if the target(s) have a strong enough will, they may accidentally reveal something else instead -- for example, what underwear they prefer! Promethei can channel this magic for up to 60 seconds. After channeling, the ethereal liquid disappears. Summons -- Promethei’s summon is a white eagle. When summoned, the eagle effectively acts as a proximity mine. If someone comes within a few feet of the eagle, it will fly towards the enemy’s midsection and "explode," causing minor to medium injury. o4
