▐ PERSONALITY Positives and Negatives Lazy - In anything other than business where he works rather consistently and hard, it is difficult to get Lys to do anything much, he prefers to avoid all work or effort and will sooner sneak off than do a task he's been left with to to. It's not malicious, it's just ...well.. effort. Can't people find someone else to do it? Like Roz. Roz is good.
Easy Going - It takes a lot to really get Lysander bothered, he's the kind of guy who would look at misfortune with resignation and just let out a heavy sigh. He doesn't rail against problems but he also doesn't care too much about other issues either.
Stubborn - Whatever he wants to do he's going to do, one way or another as long as it doesn't hurt or upset anyone too much. The last person who told him he couldn't do what he wanted to do ended up horribly fired. ▐ WHY? Why did he become a hunter?He'd gone through a very unpleasant divorce and felt like a change. He's not one for attachment to anything, even a privileged wealthy lifestyle and having never experienced real hardship, had nothing to fear from it. Deus looked like it was just another in a long long string of strange communes and camps.
Besides, he's heard stories about mythical horses.

Bright - Always perky, always moving, practically radiating energy from every pore, it is tough to get Ald to calm down. She wants to see the whole world and hopefully save it from itself. She doesn't remember anything from her past life which is just quite frankly all the more reason to see it all over again anew.
Tough - Appearances are decieving and though she looks very young and cute, Ald is made of tough stuff. This little mare isn't about to tolerate being talked down to or patronised by anyone.
▐ RACE INFORMATION - The dark unicorn
Black (or dark) unicorns are strange creatures born of the fear of pollution, the vague intangible lurking fear in the back of most human's minds when they look at a river slicked with a rainbow of oil or turned chemical red by a spill. They are the contorted ideal of nature, the concept of the pristine and pure unicorn stained oily black like a swan in an oil spill. Wherever they tread they leave a lingering trail of oily residue. Predatory in spite of their innocent appearance they are able to split their equine face all the way to the base of the jaw, unveiling a terrifying set of knife-like teeth. They are not friendly, they are not kind, and everything about them is a deception.
Ald is young for her kind, but is hundreds of years old.

▐ THE ASTORIAS
Lysander was born into a powerful family who owned a large chain of business ventures, primarily based in pharmaceuticals but with their fingers in other pies. He has two elder siblings, both of whom are considered far more driven and competent. Though his parents are generally recognisable to those with interests in the business world, and some may even be familiar with his promising siblings almost no one had heard of Lysander and those who had dismissed him as the spoiled child who would never amount to anything.
His father's side of the family originate in the UK and that was where he had his education, attending private boarding schools and eventually moving on to do a degree at Oxford university (though one of their easiest) On his return to the US he got married very quickly to a girl his family had introduced him to during his studies and had a daughter though their relationship thereafter was blighted with issues.
Lysander didn't have much time to himself as a general rule, spending most of his time working, but when he did venture outside he enjoyed nature and was deeply spiritual, believing – quite controversially in the eyes of his family – in the wiccan religion, something he kept mostly private. When he’s wasn't at work he was either riding his horses, eventing or attending gatherings of people with similar beliefs as him but who had no idea who he is outside his religion.
After the long-term neglect of his wife and daughter, his wife filed for divorce and won custody of their daughter, citing his workaholic lifestyle and often deeply irresponsible decisions as the reason.
His best friend, is unsurprisingly Roz, his direct subordinate and long-time loyal worker.
▐ FAMILY AND ROZThomas Roswell- Personal Assistant - Roz has been Lys's personal assistant since he started working at the family business. He hired the man because of his dubious past thinking that it would be quite exciting to have a criminal as his assistant and found that he had no end of loyalty. He has never looked back.
Renée Astoria (formerly Delacroix)- Mother - Calm, clever and the source of many of the business decisions in the family, Lys remembers his mother as a figure extremely adept at playing a variety of instruments but especially the violin. She forced him to learn a bit of it too, and though he complained at the time, it was parental attention he didn't get from any other source.

Alexander Astoria - Father - A distant workaholic, Lysander doesn't know much about his father other than he was almost always dissapointed and had his PA deal with his problems as a child as if he was a client.
Sandra Astoria - Ex-Wife - Intellectual and passionate, marrying Lysander was a brash decision made in her youth that she had to stick with. His laziness which was initially endearing ran to irritation at his indifference to her and their daughter, eventually culminating in her request for a separation.
Odette Astoria - Daughter - A sweet little girl, only five years old and already deeply interested in horses and the music lessons she received from her grandmother. She was left confused, sometimes wondering if Roswell was her father instead of Lysander as the former was the one who actually went to parent teacher meetings and recitals.
