 I N T R O D U C T I O NI was working in the lab, late one night. When my eyes beheld an eerie sight. For my monster from his slab, began to rise. And suddenly to my surprise...
OOC -
Welcome to Halloween at the Red Bull. Icly this is organised by Rep, Harrison, Melvin, Jordan, Cami and Nash
IC -
Those arriving at the bull that night would hear the party before they saw it, the bar’s jukebox playing the cheesiest Halloween songs that anyone could possibly find. Inside everything is decorated with no regard for taste in everything imaginable for Halloween, everything draped in fake cobwebs and other fancy livery. There is an enormous Happy Halloween banner over the door and the large plasma screen usually used for sports and movies is playing the music videos to the songs.
L O C A T I O N S
The Bar - The bar itself is turned into a smoking, bubbling mad scientist’s lab table.
Snacks - Rep did his monthly stock runs for the snacks and they are free for anyone to eat, with a huge range available, ranging from the usual halloween themed candy (presented inside a handmade wooden coffin) to an entire table of substantial food of the sort that hunters might want simply to line their bellies (fried chicken is festive, don’t argue).
Drinks - Primarily alcoholic with some non alcoholic options available over at the smols party room
Dance Floor - A cleared area over by the jukebox with space for anyone who feels bold enough to strut their stuff.
Minipets - Off to one side, there are several minipet carriers with fairly friendly inmates. Someone has apparently arranged for some minipets with good temperaments to be available for personal adoption. This area also serves as a small petting zoo, for those who are inclined to coo over small cute fuzzy things when drunk.

OOC - These drinks only for the duration of the party, even if taken outside of the party or kept for later they have lost their potency. Keep it to the bar, within the bar's weapon suppressing wards. No summoning. You can hear them but you can't smack anyone with them.

Mr Hyde Potion - You sprout a goatee, and begin to experience certain inclinations. Evil inclinations. MWAHAHAHAHA.
Witch’s Hat Cocktail - What a euphoric feeling! That IS cherry juice, isn’t it? You begin to levitate. You can go about as high as the ceiling, but not any higher, even if you decide to leave the building.This lasts roughly 30 minutes and can be replaced with another status effect.
Smoking Skulls Shots - You’re see-through! Organs, skin, and all. You’ve (probably) never seen your own bones before. Or what you just ate. It’s kind of embarrassing.This lasts roughly 30 minutes and can be replaced with another status effect.
Poison Apple Cocktail - You become extremely beautiful and enchanting, but fall into a deep slumber. Only with True Love’s Kiss (or any kiss - doesn't have to be on the lips can just be on the hand/cheek/etc) can the spell be broken. This lasts 15 IC minutes.
Black Devil Martini - A pair of dice materializes in your hand. You suddenly FEEL LUCKY (disclaimer: not the character). You are compelled to make bets with strangers, gambling away your spare pocket change, clothing items, and maybe...your soul. It’s not like you needed it anyway.
BETTING MINIGAME RULES:
1) Approach a fellow party-goer.
2) Agree on what’s at stake.
3) Roll 2d6, highest roller wins.
Effect wears off after you have completed 3 bets or if you replace it with another status effect.
Black Widow Shots - You have summoned about 20 tiny spiders, who listen attentively and work together to do your bidding for 5 whole glorious IC minutes.
Bourbon Pumpkin Pie Milkshake - You begin to glow, as if you are lit from within by a flickering candle. It gives you a warm, happy feeling. This lasts roughly 30 minutes and can be replaced with another status effect.
Bloody Orange Cocktail - You are THE BEST. The best at twitter. The best at words. You know all the BEST PEOPLE, THE MOST ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE. Not everyone is going to be happy about it, but they’re losers. SAD. (Your skin also turns bright orange). This lasts roughly 30 minutes and can be replaced with another status effect.

The below prizes can be won from the costume contest, some are out of character, some are in character, if you win and its an ooc prize, feel free to assume your character got a voucher for the bar or something ridiculous like a set of Halloween themed soap.

I N T R O D U C T I O NBoys and girls of every age.Wouldn't you like to see something strange?
IC - It looks like Cami spent days making paper garlands to hang all around the room. At some point it seems like she ran out of thematically-colored paper because you’re pretty sure pumpkins aren’t supposed to be teal green but you’re going with it because it’s obvious she tried really hard to be properly festive.
Plastic cauldrons are all festooned with fake spiderwebs, giant craft spiders poised on the edges to take a bite out of anyone greedily grasping at the various candy within. Rep, of course, insisted on providing actual snacks and food that correspond to the main bar such as chips, fried chicken, and any kind of soda imaginable.
Cami’s favorite station and the one most dramatically decorated with little winking lights (shh, they’re totally not from Christmas!!) is loaded with a keg full of Sprite. Yes, Sprite. Various fruit syrups and food colorings are all over the table so that each teen can create their own color of punch and drink out of little mason jars disguised as potion bottles.
Cami put a lot of effort into this.
The kids have their own sound system so that they can listen to whatever poppy trash they deem worthy; it has an aux port so that kids can take turns plugging their phones in. A little sign urges them all to share…

Nash was standing beside the bar, dressed in an impressively elaborate costume clearly reminiscent of a certain evil queen, the hem of his cape brushing over the bar's floor. He swept an arm free and reached for a drink - for now, just water, until he was ready to imbibe.
"I think we did a damn good job," said Nash breezily to Rep, lifting his glass in a cheery toast before taking a sip. "Looks badass."

Rep this year had thrown his usual concerns to the wind and had gone for what was for him a ******** enormously nerdy costume and one that he didn't expect anyone to get at all.
He adjusted his glasses and nodded to Nash. "Pretty ******** impressive this year I gotta say. Glad everyone pitched in."
Having Mask to care for these days had even prompted him to enlist the help of one of the kids to sort something out for them too. He felt happy. Happier than he had in a while frankly.
Setting his chainsaw - non-functional, because he wasn't going to runic a chainsaw when he had a magic ******** axe for one thing - on the bar, he took a sip of his own glass of coke and smirked. "Looks good."

THIS IS RAFFLEWEENMelody showed up with his hair pulled back tight under a tiara and was wearing a black feathery tutu. His makeup was done dark around his eyes and light etchings of feathers up his arms as well. He hoped it was apparent enough he was the black swan or he feared getting roped into explaining his costume with some regularity. Nope, he was here to relax and unwind and just be... him. Although it was not exactly him though, he did eye the various drinks on tap curiously. They all looked so good. It wasn't tea, but it also wasn't just any other day. It was Halloween, a personal favourite of his. He turned his gaze warily over at Nash and recognized him from the date and realized he'd never gotten to ask him about .... things... and now it wasn't the time or place. He finger waved at him, "Fancy seeing you here."

Melvin had managed to clean up the wrapping for the decorations and taken the trash out back, coming back in to look around. "Really looks great in here with all the lights on." He said, dressed in a white uniform and a leather jacket. , poking at a hanging spider from some fake webbing.
A golden fish floated above, painted a bit gray with a few little extra legs tapped on it's underside to try and emulate a facehugger.

Nash legitimately had no idea who or what Rep was dressed as, but he didn't look half bad in it, whatever it was. "Team effort," he said sagely, bobbing his head up and down in acknowledgement, and then lifted a hand to make sure the horns he'd painstakingly put together were staying in place, nestled into his dark hair.
"I think people will have a bitchin' time," he said, then caught sight of Melody wandering in. Nash lifted his hand and waggled his fingers in greeting, a lazy smile edging on the corners of his mouth.
"Yo," he said lightly, looking entirely cheerful, in spite of the last several days of chaos, unpleasant missions, aggravating people, and a distinct lack of sleep. Halloween was by far Nash's favorite holiday, not in the least because he got to dress up as whatever the ******** he wanted and get away with it. Not that he didn't do that on a mostly daily basis as it was, but still.
"I'm here being a ********' delight to all mankind," Nash said dramatically. He slid a sideways glance at Melvin, then let his gaze move to the fish, eyeing it.
"That's still so ********' weird."

Rhys wasn't too thrilled about his own costume, a rather simple doctor ensemble. Not even a zombie version, nope, just a regular doctor's outfit. Because why the hell not live vicariously through a costume party? And all it took was an all-black outfit and a white lab coat. Parties weren't exactly his thing, but Seren had asked and he couldn't say no because she sounded so eager. And after seeing her in costume...he couldn't exactly complain about agreeing to go. So there he was, standing in a bar he wouldn't otherwise be visiting if not for this party. There were some familiar faces there, so he nodded to each in greeting.
"Place looks ********' awesome," he said, turning to Seren. "You know I don't drink though, right?"

Seren was sticking close to Rhys, her hand in his, because she felt a little shy in her costume. When he'd said he'd dress as a doctor, this seemed like the proper costume for the evening, but now that she was out in public in her Nurse costume, she was wondering if she should have found something that covered her up more. But it was too late now, and at least it fit with Rhys' theme, so she controlled her shyness... a thing she hadn't experienced much of before in her life... and looked around curiously. She saw a few people she recognized... Melvin and Nash, so far... And waved a friendly hello, before turning back to Rhys. "Yeah, it does. They went all out, it seems." She gave him a warm smile, and said "Yeah, I know. I don't plan to do a lot of drinking myself. Maybe one, that's it. I prefer not to risk breaking my neck in these heels." She didn't wear them often enough to feel safe being wobbly in them. Her head turned to examine the table with the various haunted looking snacks, and she chuckled, and pointed the coffin they were in, as well as the more substantial food items, out to Rhys. "And hey, there's food... So there's definitely things for you to enjoy at this party." She gave him a warm smile, then glanced at the drinks. "Those look dangerous, but intriguing. Might try one later."

Melody looked at Rep and he did seem familiar. Not in any direct way, so much as the character seemed familiar from various shopping trips abroad. He was pretty sure it was from an anime though, but which one he hadn't the foggiest. "My compliments to the host," he smiled brightly. "I wish I'd known, I would have brought some stuff to help out. I love Halloween." His gaze slid over to follow Nash's to a grey multi-legged fish thing and he looked confused as he tried to figure out what it might have been originally. "-The heck is that?"

"Your face is weird." He teased back, nudging Nash in the side. "He didn't want to stay in my dorm so..." He gestured above. "Kinda did my best to get It into the holiday spirit." As Babel moved about, one of it's little paper legs was about to fall off.
He looked back at Nash. "So ....you're a demon guy?" Having no idea outside of that what Nash was dressed up as, he was even more confused by Rep's. He looked like some red businesswoman who had a chainsaw.
"And....Psycho Killer from some movie?" He asked Rep.
Rhys and Seren got a wave back as they entered, and the SEXY ____ costumes girls preferred during the season was introduced into the bar in the way of Seren's outfit. Well, if she wasn't dating Rhys, she sure was bound to find a boyfriend in that.
As Melody approached them, he more or less had been letting her just talk to Nash, until she pointed up at Babel. Since he was helping at the bar, he decided not to start anything if he could avoid it and keep the general atmosphere of fun alive. "A facehugger." He said.

Lawrence loved dressing up, it was one of his favourite things in the world, so when the opportunity to dress up presented itself, he took it without hesitation. The only reason he hadn’t one upped his previous year's outfits this time and come as one of the golems he was working on in the labs was because there would be alcohol and Rodney at this event. Golems couldn't get drunk and they certainly couldn't do anything else that might be fun.
He arrived fairly early, dressed unmistakably as an angel but with an outfit with incredible attention to detail. The wings were elaborate with every pristine white feather in place, accented here and there with dustings of gold and glitter, not enough to be tacky and the overall effect elegant and finely crafted. His hair was long and luxuriant, hair extensions adding both volume and curl to his normally flat and thin hair. The robe he wore flowed flattering, embroidered with gold thread and accented by golden armour pieces across one shoulder. HIs other shoulder was laid bare, baring his razor sharp clavicle and a lot of angles, an undisguised scar across the side of his neck. He’d carefully crafted a minimalist halo which looped around his head, attached to a subtly hidden headband.
Though the overall effect was of elegance and careful preperation, he had however taken the time to craft a scattering of movie prop style eyes on his exposed (and missing hand) arm, which terminated in its usual unnaturally flat stump (thanks Circe).
The other slightly unnerving part he'd crafted was a single white contact in his right eye which was surrounded by golden face paint.
Being Lawrence, he beelined straight for the drinks, though didn't drink it just yet.
He did however raise it in greeting to Nash before like a gentleman, offering it to Rodney.

Rodney took the drink with a small smile at Lawrence. He did enjoy holidays, and dressing up, and drinks. He was wearing a David costume: not exactly accurate to the statue, obviously, but he had a circlet around his head, and an over-the shoulder draped bit of fabric with a rope and strapped sandals that went up to his knees. A sling hung from the rope belt. He was wary about...some of the party's organizers.
Melvin.
He was worried about Melvin.
Rodney ordered Lawrence something delicious-looking in return, handing him the glass and clinking his against Lawrence's before taking a sip.

Mikael arrived to the party, dressed as a very scandalous sexy maid and beamed at everyone around before making his way to the snack table.
Lawrence cause sight of him out of the corner of his eye and kept hold of his glass to snap something in Swedish at the other man and his sibling before shaking his head.
"If only he did actual housework at any point." he said, rolling his eyes.
Mikael replied with a big grin at Lawr and took a handful of crisps to eat.
