Asali writes in goldenrod.
Asali is a ratel who is out to see the world. He left his mother unusually early, even for a ratel, and has been getting by more or less on his own ever since, although he doesn't shun company. Asali is streetwise and confident, sure of his abilities and refuses to be cowed by larger, if less ferocious animals.
Asali is a scrapper; small but tough, he won't pick a fight (except with dinner), nor will he hesitate to defend himself if a fight is offered.
His weakness is honey; more so than other ratels, Asali seems to have a nose for honey and a need to have it. When he hears bees buzzing, he cannot resist their siren call: he WILL go after them and he WILL get some honey, no matter what he has to go through to get it. He tries not to eat from the same hive very often; he believes this would spoil the honey.
Asali has no set goals or purpose; he travels over land, and occasionally through water, learning the lay of the land, and constantly hunting. He's been known to help stray young find their way back to their parents. He'll even act as a guide to other travelers, provided they're willing to play by his rules.
A certain female ratel has recently caught his attention, but that doesn't mean he'll settle down properly. It's a bugger to get him to commit.

Name means: Cream
Nata writes in medium sea green.
Nata Bhienne is a wandering hyena. She's not much of a hunter, but she's the best scavenger around. She's also a hippy: disinclined to fight, disinclined to kill, and perfectly happy to spend her nights stargazing. She can be kind of clueless, because she doesn't pay attention to what's going on on the ground.
She thinks that most lions lack a sense of humor, and thinks of them all as "sourpusses."
Nata doesn't have plans. She travels where she wants, talks to whoever she runs into, and is content as long as she has a full belly.
Recently, she's made friends with a male hyena of the Mava'Bunda pack, who may be crazier then she is. She's sharing his elephant skull with him for the moment, but hasn't fully joined the pack yet.

Ampalaya writes in Olive.
Ampalaya was the only surviving cub of her litter. Her mother was a wandering lioness, who never felt comfortable settling down. She never knew her father, or even his name.
Her mother kept them moving, never settling down long enough to make friends or make a home. When her mother died, after a long illness, Ampalaya decided it was time to find a home that fit her.
Ampalaya is a confident girl. She's had to fight to defend herself before and she'll do it again. She's a very competent hunter, but prefers to hunt in groups rather then by herself. She's looking for a pride to settle down with, where she'll be accepted as a member of the group with no quibbles about how she was raised.
Ampalaya and the love of her life, Orad, have settled down with the Tuait'tekem. She is a priestess there. Together, they had seven beautiful cubs that she mothers firmly, but lovingly. She'd like to have at least one more litter before she gets too old.

She looks up to her big bro, Ojore, and she's very optimistic and pretty bubbly. She's not actually a very good hunter, because she talks to much, but she is a good tracker. Sa'ibabaw has a crush on a slave lion, but she hasn't spoken up yet.

Kinang and her sister Pinakip were raised on a lonely seashore by their mother. She believed that their father was a god who visited her, and told her that her cubs would be his scions on Earth.
Pinakip wholeheartedly believes this.
Kinang thinks her sister and her mom are both crazy.
Ever since they left their mom- Pinakip to prophesy, and Kinang to keep an eye on her- they've been wandering.
All Kinang really wants is a normal life.
Kinang's found a love interest in Kuiba, but her sister's oddities and Kuiba's own issues have made their burgeoning romance a slow moving one. Still, she has high hopes for the future, and a normal life with Kuiba and a den full of pups.
