 An artist sees the world different...
Perhaps that's why she's been glanced out, whispered about...
It needn't matter.
The world is her canvas...
And her body a portal.
 Bunneh, a young artist with an eccentric personality. From fun-loving and affectionate to a tyrant to be reckoned with, she's unpredictable... and that's her charm. For many years she has delved into the world of art and all of its glory... and with it, her understanding of the world and its mysteries expanded. Soon, she searched the world for new mysteries, new subjects. Unbeknown to her, she stumbled upon a secret that was meant only for those who sought penance.
The Winiko... a world her eyes were not meant to see. Though she was curious and at times rash... she remained pure. As the smoke cleared and the blood churned on the freshly tilled soil, Shaula stood before her. Perplexed as to why her bonded was not one meant for such a destiny, she addressed her in a stern tone. It was than the unthinkable happened: the girl merely smiled...
"Being fated to devour the souls of the sinful... isn't that depressing?"
An out stretched hand...
"Let me show you what I see!"
And thus... the girl became a sort of liaison, but whether this fate would bring about fortune or devastation had yet to be seen.
Herro guys, Bunneh here. :3
Just a small intro. After much deliberation, I decided not to go into too much detail with an OC. Some of you already know, but for years I was an avid RPer. My friends and I would draw up massive profiles with every conceivable detail. With these, we were able to essentially co-write mini-series... books, whatever. We'd each study the profiles and than write accordingly, using the guidelines our friends drafted for us. I credit that and my arts for my love to write.
So, no stranger to roleplaying, I decided that since my primary characters will be my Winiko... I'd like to spend more time developing them as opposed to the typical OC. Personality: Cool, collected. She may at times seem stand offish, but in reality she is quite gentle and receptive. She's always enjoyed quiet settings where she can relax and reflect. Can be compared to that of a poet or philosopher of sorts when it comes to demeanor.
Likes: Literature, high places, solitude
Dislikes: Being embarrassed, not understanding something, pollen
Hobby: Reading, Cali went so far as to get her library card... even though she can't exactly use it.
History: The first to be summoned. She had heard for many years of the weight of responsibility that so many of her kind has held and thus adopted a coarse, focused demeanor. She's known little outside of this duty and feels obligated to uphold it. When she was summoned and was first acquainted with Bunneh, she was rather shell shocked. Now learning to relax her grip on the reins of responsibility, Shaula is taking one step at a time.
Update: Due to a confrontation with Valekai, Shaula sustained a severe injury to the face which has permanently disfigured and blinded her. Despite this, she brandishes the wound as if it were a medal of honor in ensuring the safety of her bonded.

Personality: Distrusting and manipulative. She trusts only herself and can be quite calculative. She often looks down on those who do not take pride in their heritage. Very smug and vain.

History: Valekai forcefully summoned herself onto the human plane once she had heard of the bonded that had called forth Shaula. Suspicious, she managed to tear through the lining of the planes via the remaining blood that had pooled on the ground. Though she would not admit it, she is thankful for Bunneh for allowing her entrance into the human realm: it allows her to delve more into the human race and to study their behavior. However, she sees her as inferior and simply a link to the plane. She would gladly devour her in an instant if it meant her own survival.
In addition, she has carefully begun observing Shaula. She distrusts the young Winiko and fears that she could threaten future generations due to her lax demeanor. Valekai has taken it upon herself to be Shaula's shadow, and ultimately her disciplinarian.

History: The ultimate product of Sullivan and company's experiment, Dae has had to face the bound and their Winikos for several weeks. Battered and buried time and time again, she has finally managed to tear herself free from her grave once and for all. Unfortunately for Bunneh, Dae clearly remembered her from their previous encounters and the patchwork Winiko shambled after her. It was soon after their "reunion" that Dae bit into the girl's arm... inadvertently bonding the two together.
In the eyes of the overly critical and vain Valekai, this serves as both endless entertainment... as well as endless headaches.

Personality: In simple terms, diabolical. He enjoys tormenting those beneath him and gaining false trust with those that he feels to be a threat in order to double-cross them. He trusts no one and at times loathes his own existence. He takes pride in the fact that he has ended the lives of countless bonded and their Winiko.

History: Phoreko has been known as a terror amongst his people for centuries. Taking advantage of the leyline between the realms, he terrorizes those that remain within the enclaves of his home world as well as those on the human plane. Why he has acted in such a manner is unclear, but many believe that members of his bloodline have all suffered incorrigibly horrible fates. Nonetheless, he takes pride  on never having been summoned and instead snuffing the lives of those he sees as new "toys."
Having heard that the ever prideful Valekai had planted her very essence within a youngling's amulet in order to ensure the sanctity of their race, Phoreko became elated. He had acquired his next target and sought to terrorize both Valekai, an elder of great prestige, and her bonded.
Family History: How the Beast Was Born
Update: Even the most despicable of creatures have carnal urges that need satisfying. In an attempt to cull his sexual appetite, Phoreko seduced and bedded the alluring Arry. To his dismay, what he had assumed was a simple night of unbridled passion resulted in the birth of his two children, Milo and Mahina. After much strife between the two, Phoreko begrudgingly took Milo, his outlet for unleashing any pent up aggression that he had at any given moment. However, it did not take long for him to become tired of his personal whipping boy. Always planning for the future, Phoreko planted Milo upon the steps of his recent band of prey, Shaula and company, in the hopes that he would be able to extinguish a string of lives in a single motion.
Special Note: Having sustained a serious injury in the past that resulted in the loss of his jaw, Phoreko is forced to speak telepathically. The only time he actually uses audible sounds is when he is attempting to initimidate or in rare cases, an act of desperation.

Personality: Milo is quite timid and unsure of himself. Having been born to two rather self-centered and easily agitated Winiko, he is easily frightened and often over exaggerates the emotions and demands of second parties. He's also the victim of his sister's bullying.
Having begrudgingly left with his father as a child, Milo grew up in a broken home. He was constantly subject to abuse from his father until he grew bored of him. At this point, Milo was handed off to Shaula and company's bonded. There, he was nurtured back to health but in the absence of other Winiko due to his deep rooted fear of them and physical abuse.
Likes: Warmth, his teddy (Ruben), and doves (they remind him of his mother)
Dislikes: Being hurt, yelled at, and abandoned, feeling alone
Hobby: Finger painting, it helps to calm him down even though he won't show them to anyone: he's afraid of being teased
Love/Hate Relationship: His antlers (though they remind him of his mother, they've grown so large that he often gets stuck on entry ways and other objects). They serve as a constant source of embarrassment. 
History: Milo was born to Phoreko and Arry as a result of a one night stand between the two. His father, a devious and malicious beast seduced Arry. When it became known that Arry was pregnant, Phoreko was bewildered and angered; however, his fears were realized when he bore witness to the birth.
While growing up, Milo was at the mercy of his sister, Mahina. Often taunted and abused, Milo became extremely skittish and self-conscious at an early age. It was with these deep rooted sentiments that his mother decided to give the responsibility of caring for him to Phoreko. Perhaps by living with him, Milo would become more sure of himself and less timid.
Milo desperately attempted to get out of the situation, turning to both his mother and sister for reassurance; however, both venues proved to be less than promising. The world had thrown him aside and it was with that notion that he surrendered to the will of his parents as well as the future abuse he would endure from his father.
Update: After enduring months of abuse from his vicious father, Milo was orphaned, left to fend for himself with nothing but his bear, Ruben. At least, that was what he had thought. To his surprise, he had been abandoned in a quaint garden that housed a cabin: the home of Shaula, Dae, Cali and their respected familiars. Though their formal exchanges were hardly amiable, Milo became a welcomed addition to the family. Having finally found a secure home, Milo is at the ease for the first time in his life; however, he has yet to come to terms with his abusive childhood. He remains timid, easily jostled, and has developed O.C.D. tendencies in relation to security: barricading windows and doors and constantly gravitating towards corners of rooms and chairs so he always has a clear escape route.

Personality: Having been given to Milo by his mother at a young age in an attempt to soothe him, Ruben is quite quiet and empathetic. A teddy bear can't be these things, you say? A familiar had been summoned for Milo at his birth but he could not properly manifest in the human world. As such, he now inhabits the bear, a seemingly inanimate object to all but a confidant for Milo. He often whispers to Milo, encouraging or soothing him depending on the winiko's needs.

He's quite sure of himself and fuels his ego with the smallest of accomplishments; however, if faced with a serious situation or something emotionally fueled, his facade drops to one of genuine concern. Also claims to be quite skilled with the ladies... but in reality, tends to get too flustered to even start a conversation.
Likes: Bunneh/Cali (crush?), swimming, being nosy, girls (as long as they don't talk to him), being loud
Dislikes: Whiners (Milo?), being called out on his bluff, olives, not being the center of attention

History: Octavius prefers to keep his history a secret, afraid that any details from his past endeavors may damage his reputation. Despite this obsessive use of cloak and daggers, his background is rather bland. Though born a Winiko, a being of extraordinary power, his family was not of great prestige or pedigree. It was due to this life of normalcy that Octavius began to construct a lavish persona in order to live up to his lineage. Swearing an oath upon the soil of Ranthor's grave, Octavius vowed that the moment his soul was bound with another that his name would be just as revered as his ancestor...
... So far, all he's managed is to have his name uttered along with the string of expletives, usually by a female.

Personality: Overall, of the two, Nahla is very pleasant: kind, friendly, and quite bubbly. At least, that's the case when the flame within her hasn't taken affect. When she's turned for the worst, she's the perfect compliment to her brother's mischievous self. Just as a flame can provide warmth, it too can burn.
Likes: Her brother, flowers, sweet treats, going on adventures, "discovering" cute things
Dislikes: Water, ugly things, getting in trouble (though usually McKaleb takes the fall for his sister)
Hobby: Telling riddles (she fancies herself a Cheshire Cat)
Name: McKaleb
Meaning: Unknown, just threw it together
Color: Red
Personality: To put it simply, McKaleb is a hellion. He loves to cause trouble and other forms of mischief. Whether it be pranks or hiding away from pursuers, he's notorious for being a handful. However, when the flame within him takes over, he becomes extremely cryptic and withdrawn. There's no telling what he's thinking. Sure, when he's his usual child self he's quite hard to control, but even the eldest of Winikos prefer that to his possession.
Likes: His sister, sweet treats, causing mischief, setting traps, finding new and unusual hiding places
Dislikes: Water, being told what to do, asparagus, the cold
Hobby: Making the lives of adults a living hell
History: The twins had been the product of a traditional summoning many, many years prior; however, what seemed to be a simple ceremony resulted in a peculiar pair of Winiko. While coming to know the world, the two, always inseparable, found themselves plunging into the depths of a very large lake in the Inbetween due to one of McKaleb's usual endeavors. It was in this instant that their once plain black hides erupted into the magma-like pattern it is today upon contact with the water. The elders came to the children's aid but by the time they were brought to sure, the two were entirely different. The once rambunctious duo spoke as if they were from another time and the heat radiating from their pelts was nearly unbearable. The Elders suspect that long ago, when the Winiko were first born, there were a select few that were the most primal and powerful. As such, it is accepted that slumbering deep within the twins are the very aspects of Winiko long lost... born of flame and fire themselves: ancient, devious and malevolent forces.
Ever since this awakening, they have not aged. Perhaps the spirits deep within them prefer younger hosts. Nonetheless, when the two are children... they are simply that, but ever since that incident, all Winiko are weary when the flame's within the two erupt into an inferno.

Personality: The general opinion of her Winiko brethren is that Embrum is an anomaly amongst their numbers: the court jester amongst nobility. She exudes a mirthful aura that cannot  help but tug at the many maws she encounters. Whether she be flitting through the air, humming poorly strung verses or simply giggling over the sight of a speckled snail going about its day, Embrum finds the joy in life in the simplest of things.
Likes: Anything that is colorful, jokes, meeting new people, hide and seek.
Dislikes: Bitter foods, rainy days, enclosed spaces
Hobby: You'd think it was laughing seeing as she she's always giggling
History: Amongst the Winiko, it is thought that those who bear functional wings have been blessed by Ranthor. Due to this, avian Winiko are often highly regarded and their services are often reserved to the most worthy, or most corrupt, of mortals. However, as with any rule of thumb, there are always exceptions. The moment she had been brought into the world, her fellow Winiko knew that Embrum did not fit the regal archetype that they had applied to so many before her. Constantly flitting about, jeering on about the simplest of nuisances and teasing her grim kin, she was little more than the black sheep of the community. A commoner amongst the hundreds of warriors and executioners that inhabited the InBetween. For this reason, she was slowly ostracized from the community, silently stripped of the privileges that had been her birth right.
Did this bother the young rebel? Not at all. If anything, she had been liberated from the many shackles that had ensnared her at the moment of conception. Now, she was free to grace the skies and discover what all life had to offer. Unfortunately, this too worried her kin, for now she freely exposed herself to mortals while indulging her insatiable hunger for merriment.

Personality: Jolly and free-spirited, Yasmin is quite a gentle girl with a wide range of hobbies and interests. An impeccable gardener, Yasmin has been sited slinking about the mortal plane and rehabilitating neglected vegetable patches to their former glory: a sort of demonic Robin Hood off to give to the chlorophyll inclined.
Likes: Pumpkin vines (they're swirly twirlie!), freshly squeezed juice
Dislikes: Chores, baths
Hobby: Gardening, of course!
History: Much like Embrum, Yasmin was always looked upon as being a peculiarity amongst her Winiko brethren. Born of the primordial juices of the Inbetween, Winiko had no need for any sort of nutrition or sustenance; however, Yasmin had taken it upon herself to gather a wide array of the unusual plants that had made their own in their realm and make a rather large garden about the back of the Nobles' and Elders' estate. Though the habit was thought to be harmless, it did not exempt Yasmin of snide remarks and piercing gazes. In an attempt to find a community that would appreciate her green paws, Yasmin began to slip off onto the mortal plane while its denizens were fast asleep and began resuscitating sickly plots to their previous splendor. With each visit to the human world, Yasmin began to extend her visits until she too became a resident indefinitely.
