 I'm not a tyrant, & this guild is far from being "strict" & "rule-hungry". However, there are a few basic limitations that I must insist you respect.
1) Follow Gaia's TOS [Terms of Service] -- in other words: Gaia's rules.
2) No drama. "Drama" is defined by me as: rude, insulting, or condescending behavior towards any member(s) of this guild. Any post that clearly, knowingly, or deliberately hurts the feelings of other will be deleted ASAP, & the participant(s) of said drama may be banned from the guild. So please mind basic manners. No petty fighting. Debating is fine; starting controversial topics is fine within basic limitations. Making personal attacks is not fine.
3) Post in the appropriate subforum. Guidelines regarding exactly what sorts of threads belong & don't belong in each of our subforums can be found in the subforums "Rules & Guidelines" sticky. For the most part, however, what threads should be created where is mostly self-explanitory. If you create a thread in the wrong subforum, you of course will not be penalized in any way; however, your thread will be moved to the correct subforum. The owners of threads are generally not notified when their threads are moved; this is the first & last notice you'll receive on the subject.
4) Always start threads in subforums. Do NOT start threads in the main forum.
5) Do not create duplicate threads. It's completely unnecessary, & quite obnoxious as well.
6) You may not create a thread anywhere in Burn for the sole or primary purpose of advertising a guild, quest thread, charity, mini-shop, or anything else. If you want anything of yours advertised in Burn, we'd be more than happy to become affiliates with you, instead!
Lastly, please note... that in addition to these guild rules, each subforum also has its own individual set of rules. I know it's such a drag, but please do try & look over the rules & guidelines located in a "sticky" thread at the top of each subforum before posting there.

Crew -- This is where the guild's crew members chill & formulate evil schemes to take over the world [not really] blaugh . This sub-forum is only accessible to Burn's crew members, to discuss crew-membery stuff. Crew is expected to check it frequently.
Free Gold: Contests, Charities, & Giveaways --
Pretty self-explanatory. Go here for free gold resources, both in the guild & links to charities outside of Burn. This is also where almost all our contests are posted [really big contests will generally be located in the main forum for at least a period of time]. Participate in contests to win big prizes, or make your own! Feel much more than free to make your own donation thread, too!
Questing --
Everything pertaining to quests/questing goes here. If you want to post a quest thread of any sort -- or even just link to your quest thread -- do it over there. Advice for others regarding quest threads, people looking for quest thread affiliates, et cetera et cetera, is all welcome in the Quests sub-forum as well.

This is for those nifty little word games you'll find in almost every guild [ex. "What Would you Steal From the Avatar Above you?"]. We have zillions!

I suppose that on social matters such as abortion & the death penalty my beliefs are mostly in line with that of the Democratic party, & on financial matters they're mostly in line with the Republican party. However, I'd never consider myself a Republican or a Democrat, or a member of any other political party, largely just on principal.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual. & not in a bullshit way.

WHAT I GENERALLY DO ON GAIA: Obviously, this guild is my number one priority on Gaia & most of my time on Gaia is spent either in Burn or dealing with things related to Burn in some way or another. I also own a TekTeking/Avatar guild called Choque that I created in November 2010. I'm a Crew Member in The Newbie Supporting and Training Guild, which is also the only guild besides my own that I'm constantly active in. I'm a TekTeker at two of the very best TekTek shops on Gaia: Oh So Beautiful & iTekTek. Pretty much any time on Gaia that I have that's not spent on any of the commitments above is spent Vending, Exchanging, & earning gold, almost all of which ends up going to my guilds in one way or another.

CAN I BE A MOD? / CAN I BE CREW?
It's possible, but you have to do more than simply ask. If you're truly interested in being a dedicated crew member of this guild, let me refer you to this thread. I highly suggest you read everything in its entierty & put some effort into filling out the crew app form before PMing it to me :3
CAN I BE A VICE CAPTAIN?
Most likely you can't & never will become one. Of course, there's always a slight chance that if you're an absolutely wonderful crew member for a really long time, that you'll end up being promoted to Vice Captain at some point, but the chance of that is only very slight. The Vice Captains of this guild have been with Burn for over a year & a half, & have been consistently active & beyond helpful in this guild for that entire length of time. & some crew members have been active as Crew for a year & a half or longer & still aren't Vice Captains. So being a VC is NOT something to get your hopes up about.
CAN I CREATE A THREAD ABOUT ____?
Yes, as long as it follows Gaia's Terms of Service & Burn's rules, & you post it in the proper subforum.
CAN YOU DONATE ______ TO ME?!
If you want donations, go to the Free Gold subforum & post in giveaway threads or participate in contests. Don't create a new thread asking people to donate to you, unless it's blatantly a Quest thread posted in the Quest subforum as opposed to a begging thread. & definitely, definitely do NOT PM me asking for gold or items.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP THE GUILD GROW AND BECOME MORE SUCCESSFUL?
Of course! heart Here’s a list of a few different things you could do to help out, none of them being especially difficult or time consuming.
-- You can donate gold or items to the guild by sending them in a trade to the username B u r n GuildMule 2 . As you may have already realized, our guild is always sponsering contests that offer incredibly large prizes. All donations sent to the guild mule are used to help finance these contests, & help enable us to be able to continue hosting contests with the extravagant prizes that our guild members are accustomed to. However, if you can't donate, or would prefer to use your gold for other means, that's perfectly fine & understandable! If you want to simply donate unwanted items you own, your donation will still be greatly appreciated! We don't get very many donations at all, & hardly ever get any donations that are somewhat large, & I totally understand that this is the least-likely way of helping out the guild. I want to stress the fact that I am in no way trying to put any pressure whatsoever on you to donate to Burn. I simply mention it because it is one of the ways members can help the guild. However, the totally free ways of assisting the guild mentioned below are just as valuable!
-- Simply being active in the guild & posting a lot benefits the guild more than most people probably realize. By making interesting threads & participating in discussions, you're encouraging more members to be active, & providing our guild with a greater variety of threads & responses to threads made by others [everybody likes a thread they create to spark a lot of attention!] Also, it helps get the guild's post count up, which helps it get more attention in the guild registry 3nodding
-- Invite your friends! The easiest way to do this is here . All you have to do is post in that thread the username(s) of people you'd like invited to the guild, & Burn's crew will take care of sending those people personal invitations to join.
-- Help advertise Burn by putting a Burn banner in your signature, on your profile, or wherever!

Throughout the approx. 6-8 months that this guild has existed, I've spent literally millions & millions of gold from my own personal finances to make sure that all our contests always offer the best & biggest prizes around, donating to member's quests & to anybody who asks for donations from me in my "Kayla's Typical Donation Thread" in the Free Gold subforum, giving all dedicated Burn members presents on their birthday, etc. etc. etc. Although this guild is not advertised as a charity guild or a "giveaway" guild or whatnot, this guild, from what I've seen, at the very least contains as much charitable donations & huge giveaways as all those guilds dedicated solely to that purpose. Although I'm not a poor Gaian, I'm not a super rich one either, & although I never quest because this guild is more important to me than any silly item, donations are always greatly appreciated & incredibly helpful.
We're not picky about donations... Not at all. Donate items you don't want, any gold you can spare... anything is greatly appreciated smile
To donate, simply send a trade to our guild mule, BurnGuildMule2, with something about "donating" in the trades title.
