It's wonderful to know that, after four consecutive contest rounds, not only is this contest still as active as ever, but the last contest round received more submissions than any previous round!
As always, I'd like to congratulate all our contest winners, as well as all the members who worked hard at submitting the best entries they could. Believe me when I say that with every round of this contest so far there have always been at the very least a large handful of really, really wonderful submissions that didn't win any prizes/placing.
&, as always, I'd like to extend my sincerest gratitude to this round's lovely judges: StArcana [duhh!], DefloweredMind [another "duh"], LadyKayKnoxx, LadyKiraX, monkeyzd, RadioTragedy, ebonybonesx, & onelaughing!
Now, for a couple new, exciting things ya'll HAVEN'T seen in this "Welcome Note" before: First of all, for the first time ever, I'm going to make all of my personal judging results public. Why, you may be wondering? Because, as I said above, I feel like there are so many great entries that don't get recognized as winners. Also, with every round there's always at the very least a few submissions that I rank at or near the top of my list that don't win anything at all. So, I'd like to give people who I personally believe deserve some recolonization & congratulations just that :3 My judging results: My eight favourite entries, in order, for each category!
Second of all, as much as I constantly love all the submissions by the people who have become known as this contests repeat winners [John Reese, OmgFurubaRocks, dommiesgrl, etc.] , I feel like that, after four rounds of many, many wins, it's about time that some other wonderfully skilled TekTekers got more of a chance to win some big prizes & get themselves spotlighted here. So, although I'm most certainly not going to ban any many-time winners from any future rounds of this contest, I am going to try to recruit some of them as judges for the up-&-coming round #5 ASAP. So, if you're one of those people who feels like they're always pretty close to making it to the winners list, but always fall a bit short due to the same people winning over & over again, Round #5 IS your chance to shine!
