@Desi: Thanks. Although musical weapons isn't common in the genre, it isn't rare either. But they're always cool to watch 3nodding (I don't read wuxia since I was never trained to read literature).

My progress: approx. 330 words. It's a slow month.

I listen to the lion king sound track for writing music. It's very intense.

Sweetness with the drawing, I feel like I haven't doodle anything in forever. I've read that, it's pretty good. I found the biography part more interesting that the writing part.It was just more inspiring to me, I guess.

Haven't written yet today but it's still in the morning, but over the last couple of weeks I had a very strange revelation. One of the reasons I started writing this book is because I wanted to create a strong black superhero that people could look up too. However after reading a bunch of articles and more specifically the comments below I wanted to put race relations. I eventually became overwhelmed and thought it extremely necessary but my clarity came from learning that i need to balance out my book so I don't end up preaching to the choir.

Progress: 108 words on Storytime.
Only a day left of term! I'm surprised they actually kept the school open for this week, we got nearly half a foot of snow on Sunday, and it barely thawed on Monday. Now, they've had to relax the rules on wearing school shoes because the ice around the school is so dangerous they just want people to turn up in one piece. I quote "We don't mind which shoes you wear, as long as they're safe".

Well that's the plan, we'll have to see how the shifts work out at work when I try to book some in for next week. I might have to deal with 5 days off (only 4 workable due to being my friends birthday sat) from sat-wed maybe. I'll let you know. <3

@Desi: The reason I wanted the kingdom woman-less was because how Evion selects his knights. Evion is practically a mass of black and green flames shaped into a wolf and is a higher entity which grants powers to those whom summon him. Given he has a habit of just picking men to give his power, most of those who live under Darmedus' (the tyrant king) rule are all men. Now there is another kingdom within that parallel dimension that has women in it along with men, but Dar knows they're just backstabbers because of the queen there has ******** him over several times when it came to negotiations. So he tends to not want women in his kingdom unless it's necessary for leverage on someone.

Dar always suspects it's a man that would summon Evion, so him finding out he's getting a woman knight would be a fun to see how he reacts. Probably shouldn't think too much of it and just go with the flow. I wanted to giggle at his misery since it's been centuries since he's been around a woman. Well, more like he hasn't been around a proper woman, and without saying every other minute that she's a b***h or a whore for what he thinks are acts of seduction. ._.; Ah well, he's got issues and it does have some romance so the heroine's got her work cut out for her.

I probably did well on my test. sweatdrop Forgot a few definitions and the name of an artist, but I recalled majority of what we had on the test. So it should be a decent passing grade. I've been handwriting a lot lately. A whole page on some random idea, three pages of future chapters in fan fiction. Wrote on the future chapters in the fan fictions so I could work out the kinks before I get to them, and I feel like finishing that KHR chapter tonight. :3 I'll probably work on the Kuroshitsuji fan fiction chapter later. I'll find some way to make that chapter smooth out to the way I like it.

411 words on the sixth, haven't been too productive of late. "Classed up" today, meaning we sat in a room and were introduced to people and policies. Get into the school building tomorrow, also run a PFA / PRT that I'm more than half convinced I'll fail because I haven't been running because I've been sick for two weeks plus. Actual classes start Monday.

Sitting with a cup of earl gray and some mini donuts of all things, looking at files to work on. We'll see how it goes.

An additional one hundred and sixty-nine words in one hour. Good lord, this story has turned into a 9.5k-word character study... Time to save and head out for a little bit of shopping, though. Keep at it for a few more hours tonight.

Progress: 901 words, and I'm nearly finished with this scene between my two protagonists. It's been very fun writing as them post-November!

It starts largely from the POV (albeit in third person) of Simon's younger sister Irina, set in the frozen tundra of "The Shivering Isles" or more simply known as "The Shivers", which is to the far north of the continent of the kingdom from which they are exiled. About two weeks after Simon escapes, word finally reaches the continent, and they send for the remaining exiled princes and princesses.

After they set sail, the view will finally switch to Narcy, whom I have such a bias for, and I can't wait until I get to write about her <3 But Narcy holds many titles in the north of the kingdom, where she is the last of her line, and so is invited to court, among many others, to decide what should be done with the deposed king's grandchildren.

Once at court the POV will change around a bit to focus on each of the other major and minor characters, the majority of them nobles or the b*****d children of nobles. So yeah, mostly for building character. XD

There will be war, but not nearly until the end of the book.

Progress: None yet today, but I plan on making some right now! D:<

Sounds like the perfect set-up, and the characters well developed. I like the idea of Dar thinking about little things and imagining them as acts of seduction. It'd make a lot of sense if someone hasn't seen the opposite sex for a while.
