Dante was goeing over little plans in his head as h continued about the basment for anything odd..

"I think we should talk to he inn keeper some more if nothing turns up here."

Melody nodded.

"Well, we might as well keep looking for the time being."

she said, moving some of her long raven locks out of her face.

he nodded and continued along finely finding the door to the wine celler.

"Maby the monster has good taste."

he sead. he was just keeping sperits light. when working with deamons you somewhat had to. as he opend the door.

Melody shook her head, but she had a slight smile on her face.

Dante opend the door slowly and looked around befor steping on the creaky wooden stairs. he paused only for a second to make sure they wouldent fall. all the racks and stairs would be a great hideing place for anthing.

Melody descended the steps once again behind her brother. It was important to watch the others back in case something decided to take one of them by surprise.

Dante asent to woried. he could take almost anything that hit him aslong as it just hit him once. as for mel he wasent sure of her endurance as of yet. hasent relly been a situation where he dident just take the hit for her. he was silent though looking around reaching up at the base of the stairs to click on the light. by pulling a chain.

Mel: *smacks him* I can take care of myself you know! stressed
Dante: Ouchies... crying )

The light, well, it wasn't a light. More like a flickering lightbulb, turned on and only lit a small portion of the room.

"Well, that helped a lot..." stare

Mel thought sarcastically

Dante blinked and looked up at the bulb. it was out of reach so he just sighed and continued into the room. this was his usual luck. he thought as he began pokeing around pearing under the stair. the plae was to confined for a sword so he had swiched to ebony and ivry.

While Dante grabbed hold of Ebony and Ivory, Melody held tightly to her hand gun. The room seemed to become smaller and the air became stuffy to where it was almost difficult to breathe...but Melody wasn't worried about that right now and she knew Dante wasn't either.

dante paused and looked back at his siter eyes asking if she was allright. he was allways protective of his famely. he dident have much lef and was still broaken over loseing theremother and his brother. even if part of that was his fault. he wouldent speak about it though. he was just alert looking for anything odd.

Melody looked at her brother and offered him a slight smile, to let her know she was alright. It irked Melody some days that Dante was so 'overprotective' of her, especially in the line of business they were in, but on the other hand, she couldn't blame him either. Mother, father, brother...all were gone, and Melody and Dante were all the other had.

Dante was silent and smiled thinking rembering when she first declared she would join him at work. he was furious he frobided it. but there was no stoping her no matter how hard he tried. he glad that shes working with him now. he continued looking around.

Melody had to work really hard to prove herself to Dante and she passed with flying colors. They were partners and nothing was going to change that.

Dante shook his head.

"I havent noticed anything. im sure if anything was down here it would have attacked us by now."

he nodded to the stairs.
