Dante still looked a little panick and held herhandthough he had calmed down a little he still looked concirned.

Melody looked at her brother and threw her arms around his neck in a hug. "That was too close..." she thought. "Way too close..."

he paused for a moment not ust to an axual hug but loosend his arms sliping around to comfert you. he was thinking about yelling at her for getting carless but relised it was probibly his own inflince.

"You gonna be allright?"

Melody nodded.

"I'll be fine, Dante."

She said softly.

"That was just a little too close for comfort for my liking, but I'll be fine."

she said sincerely

he nodded not likeing the idea of his little sister being hurt. he dident want to lose her too. she was all he had left. but he dident loosed his hold. he was silent lestioning to evrything around them.

Melody didn't push Dante away from her, she knew he was worried about her but she really was fine. To her, that cut was more of a tiny scratch. That was one of the benefits about being half demon...you healed much faster than a normal human.

Dante would stay there protecting her. intull it healed not a single muscle moveing in his body his eyes staring straight at the wall with such ferocity the anger of her being hurt building up within them one could sware the wall was about to burst into flames just from his gaze.

"Dante?"

Melody said softly

Dante blinked slowly as he looked down to her his face stoic as h wated for her to ask what she was goeing to ask.

"I'm fine big brother."

she said softly but seriously.

"And I promise you that I wont be going anywhere for a very long time."

He sighed and let go sitting back so he was axualy sitting on the floor next to her his arms across his knees.

"I sware if you get killed out here your fired famely or no."

he sead his usual smile returning to his face though that humor was a bit to morbid even for him. he sighd lightly letting his head fall.

Melody smiled slightly and hugged her brother, her head leaning on his shoulder.

"We're a team, Dante and nothing is ever going to change that,"

she said, her eyes holding warmth and promise

He blinked slowly and nodded returning her hug though her words struck a cord with him he remained silent. and simply nodded agine getting to his feet and picking her up to set on hers as well.

"Lets make sure the innkeeper is still behind the counter then well continue are work."

Melody smiled.

"You got it!" wink

she said walking over to the counter to check on the still unconcious man

Dante blinked lightly as he keept his wits about him and alert. reasuring himself that she was a big girl that she could take care of hrself. and that he needed to stop setting a bad example by letting his guard down.

Melody peered over the counter at Arashi who still lay unconcious."Yep. He's still out cold."
