It was the first FF game that I have ever played, The amazing Music, The depth of the characters and storyline, and then the Sphere Grid.

It was recently replaced with V because I couldn't find a replacement disc in my area But I recently found one and it has become my favourite again.


as Previously mentioned V was my favourite for a while. It still is an amazing game. I also liked the first Final Fantasy.

XIII Killed it for me though... I dislike it. the restriction of the level up system, and the whole time based battle scenes. Thats what frustrated me the most.

most others are pretty good too, but dont come close to IX.

TA/2 doesnt hold a candle to Tactics.

Final Fantasy IX

Why do you like it so much?
It has a great story. I really enjoy the fairy-tale atmosphere and the gameplay follows the classic formula. The characters are also very enjoyable, with my favorite being Vivi. There are a lot of darker elements in the game, which is where its true artistic beauty shines most. Here you have this seemingly bright, happy game, but eventually you see a underlying darkness that adds demension to the atmosphere.

When did it Become your favorite?
As soon as i started playing it, although what really made it my favorite was the moment when Vivi notices those puppets look exactly like him and begins to question his existance. It gives you a strange empty feeling as well. Ironically, i never beat the game. (My ps2 isn't worth crap and can't play the discs without trouble) I plan to finish it eventually.

My original favorite was ten (it will still always have a special place with me.) Some people are surprised when i tell them that my FIRST final fantasy was 7. After all, most people tend to hail it as the best in the series. It's one of my favorite childhood games, but not my favorite ff by far.

Final Fantasy VIII

Why do you like it so much?
To start off I'm aware Final Fantasy VIII among the I - X games it wasn't the most popular one out there due to some game flaws. However I payed no mind to the flaws such as you can basically play through a majority of the game spamming your GFs (Gardian Forces also commonly known as Summons) What first caught my eye was the amazing introduction to the game when you saw Squall fighting with Seifer along with the rest of the cut scene and the music blended so well I found it quite appropriate for the game. I also like the soundtrack like all final fantasy games with their own individual beautiful soundtracks I loved Final Fantasy VIII's sound track from Eyes on me to one of my more favorited background musics Fisherman's Horizon.. However above all else what makes Final Fantasy games so great the story line.. I loved all the characters but what got me the most was I could relate to Squall and it would always make me smiling seeing his companions try and open up his shell he was afraid to come out of.. I suppose you could say I grew up with this game and I have so many good things I could say but I'm not afraid to admit it has it's flaws as well.

No it honestly didn't replace any game! in fact before I had played Final Fantasy VIII I didn't have a favorite game even though I had played Final Fantasy VII before I had the chance to enjoy VIII. I mean don't get me wrong Final Fantasy VII is also a good game with a deep descriptive story and a wonderful soundtrack as well as character development and the unexpected twists and turns but it didn't quite feel as good to me as Final Fantasy VIII although all the older Final Fantasy games will always have a nostalgic feel to them growing up and playing them along side many other worthy mentioning game tittles.

i like FFVII, i like it because it has a GREAT story line, GREAT characters, and GREAT playability, it became my favorite like 4 years ago..and it displaced Crash Bandicoot 2 xp

I enjoyed Final Fantasy 6. (Even though I never played through all of it, which I regret doing.)

I enjoyed Final Fantasy 7.

I was kind of iffy with Final Fantasy 8's story, which made me sort of dislike it. (Drawing out a half-assed plot in order to focus on the romance between the two main characters that we knew was going to get together, anyway, which doesn't culminate until the third disc? Yeah, I had a problem with that.)

I absolutely loved Final Fantasy 9. And that's not just because I'm a Freya Crescent fanboy. >_>

I was "meh" with Final Fantasy 10. I really disliked the game being on rails for the majority of the game. I always loved the open world feeling of the earlier games and felt that this was a de-evolution of the series. It looked great, but that's all I felt went for it.

I never played Final Fantasy 11 because of it being an MMO.

I'm indifferent about Final Fantasy 12. I hated the law system even more than I did in Tactics Advance, but I loved the open world feeling the game provided. It felt more like an MMO.

I haven't played Final Fantasy 13, yet. I don't think I want to, because I fell out of the series after playing halfway through 12.

Final Fantasy 14 proved to me that the direction the series went was all about visual appeal and not gameplay structure. About the only thing that impressed me with this game was the opening cinematic, and that's it. Everything else was terrible. Now, I hear they fixed a crapload of things, but I'm not willing to go back just yet.

So...My favorite out of all of the games would have to be Final Fantasy 9. The graphical style had a bit of charm and a nostalgic factor to it that was reminiscent to the older retro games from the 16-bit era and before. It was a bit of a disappointment that you couldn't switch classes, but the very fact that they gave the characters their own class was clearly a throw-back to the older games.

Final Fantasy 12

Why do I love Final Fantasy 12 so much? Because it's not like the others! There's no melodramatic characters, the beauty of the game is in how big and vast the world is, and having to travel from one place to another whilst collecting loot and digging up merchant's bazaar item secrets in the bestiary. I love Final Fantasy 12. It is my most favourite game out of the series.

There are people around me who don't like this game as much as I do; to be honest I don't care! This game is and always will be my most favourite game of all time. I love the story, I love how much writing is in this game, I love the history, the characters, the cities, the npcs! People around me don't like this game because "The characters dont have as much story as the other final fantasies" or "the graphics were different". This is what I love the most about FF12, the characters are so different to the other FF's... Gosh I just love this game so much.

I know FF12's world is Ivalice, but despite that, I don't like FF Tactics or FF Tactics Advanced. I did love Revenant Wings though -- as a temporary time-killing game! It was still fun, but FF12 is the best Ivalice game out there.

It's hard to say whether or not FF12 displaced another favourite of mine.. I have alot of favourites, I treasure them all greatly, but FF12 is way at the top, I just don't want to say "I choose FF12 over ______". I mean I've played this game so many times that I wouldn't mind putting it down to play something like ape escape emotion_yatta ....

But, its definitely hard to choose between FF12 and FF Crisis Core. I love Crisis Core, I really really do. I love that game because of the relationship between Zack and Aerith.. so sweet <3333 But FFXII will always be my favourite RPG!

For me its got to be Final Fantasy VII

A number of reason of why i like it was the awesome range of characters, the twists to the tale that werent too over the top for the actually storyline, the cut scenes were really enjoyable but one thing that made me love this game was when I actually brought the game for the first time when i was younger, I preordered it at the store and myself and my mum went back to the shop about 2 weeks later to pick it up and the shop assistant was like "Oh wow you actually came back for it?" and we was like "Umm yeah why?" and he proceeded to tell us that alot of people had come and cancelled their orders because they found out that Final Fantasy was NOT a adult porn game :O shocking I know

I suppose it became my favourite when I realised just how big the game really is, I mean i was used to games being fun but quite short and once done that was it so when i played the game I was expecting the same but when you complete the game you dont have to stop because you can level up more, do side quests, fight secret bosses and find powerful abilities...it was the first time i played a game like that and I just loved it

I had been playing games a while beforehand but I cant remember what my favourite games before FFVII was so i will have to say this was my true first favourite game EVER!!!

I love FFX because it was like the first Final Fantasy I ever played and it is the only one I ever defeated. Also I loved the chaacters and the story was pretty good.
