I haaaaaaaaaate android app development.

And I have an android phone! gonk

Is this about the App Inventor? If so I'd like to throw in that I ******** HATE block based builders like that. Had enough of that with Sense (based off MIT's Scratch before anyone asks) and that drove me potty enough especially when trying to do it on trackpads (not a fan of those either because I have VERY sensitive fingertips and they always feel rough).

stressed All I want to do is get the damned app to login to the website where the database is and shove the created list off to the database.

What are you talking about? I see nothing particularly worthy of note, except the incompetence of the Alienware tool developers, who apparently did not properly access the numerous I2C devices that provide the information they're supposed to gather.

I suspect the alienware tool communicates with their funky system controller hooked up over USB, instead of communicating straight with the motherboard.

I haven't really taken the time to look and tell if the CPU's cooling system is hooked up to it. I certainly hope it isn't! lol.Looking at a picture though, it's either connected to a regular power rail or something related to it. Oh my.

One thing I dislike about the R4 is how many random small fans are in it! I wonder who the target market was: It has an X79 and uses Sandy bridge E chips (or Ivy Bridge E, whenever that comes out), and that means room for quad channel RAM and dual (maybe quad?) SLI.

Except there's only 2 PCIe x16 ports and people run into cooling problems with dual SLI and high powered GPUs.

Oh, and there's only 4 ram slots... odd, most X79 boards have 8.

The Micro ATX thing doesn't make sense either, for such a huge case. Plus the overclocking options for the CPU are pretty well limited, although they do exist. (and R4s usually come with a mild turbo overclock too).

Kinda weird. Oh well, the cooling does work ok - I've yet to hear any of the fans ramp up after playing some games XD
I should start to be a little more consistent with installing software for me or all users. Apparently i installed the Android SDK for me, but Android Studio for all users, which resulted in Android Studio having a separate Android SDK installation, which of course wouldn't react to me installing anything on my installation of Android SDK.

Edit: It works. As in: it compiles. After how many hours? I want to go back to C++, at last with C++ i know exactly what libraries are where and if they're part of the project or not ... and nobody cares where i put them!

Edit 2: I might curse a little too much.

Edit 3: It actually runs this time, no more NoClassDefFoundException. Though i have to question Android Studios approach of building the app every time i start it, even when nothing changed. Oh well, it is still an alpha ...

Edit 4: I really don't feel like making a new post for this so i'll add it here: Apparently it wasn't my fault that two different SDKs existed on my PC, Android Studio comes with its own SDK per default. Yeah, why should we all use the same libraries if we can put a dozen different versions on the same machine ...

Edit 5: I just found this path in the "execute in" property of the SDK as well as Android Studio:
"C:/Users/<my account>/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/../Programmieren/Android Studio"
That's the path for the start menu. Why he ******** is the program executed in the folder for the start menu? Was the person who wrote this on drugs?!

Edit 6: There is an executable called "SDK Manager.exe" that doesn't start because it looks for a batch file that's supposed to be in a folder called "tools"
In the stand alone version the SDK Manager was in the root folder of the SDK (and the tools folder was in the same root folder). In the Android Studio version the SDK manager is in a subfolder of tools and can no longer find the batch file it was hard-coded to look for under tools.
On the plus side i'm way more confident about working in the industry now. I cannot possibly do worse than the people responsible for this mess, and they are still employed ...

After playing lolmaps on trackmania so much lately, I get the impression someone there did this:
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5phx2g6fZ1rwcc6bo1_400.gif
I think our cat can't recognize me trough a window unless i move.
I've tried this twice so far: I stand in front of the window, not moving, looking at the cat. The cat looks around, looking in my direction several times but she never reacts to me unless is start moving ("reacting" meaning "starting to make a fuss so i let her in already" ).

Does anyone have similar experiences?

on the outside it seems as though he doesn't even give a ********. but if you look closely you could probably tell he s**t his pants a little(or a lot) after than event.

I prefer the swan analogy. Sure they look all graceful and regal but look under the water and you'll see their legs working furiously like there's no tomorrow.
By the way, I found a great video on uninstalling McAfee Antivirus, from John McAfee himself. (Probably NSFW.)

Well, I dunno. Lots of barely-clothed women, hard drugs, and guns might be perfectly acceptable to someone!

can't say i'm impressed with the summer event. it seems to be too confusing for most gaians to comprehend, towns is laggy as hell, and the new "promote my post' idea doesn't help at all either. it makes anything below the forum pulse look disgusting.

i'm not even going to satisfy the achievement whore within me on this one.
