Location: Serinola Spring Camp // Status: Rejuvenated, relieved, hopeful, and concerned. // Company:Iris, Jayce, Summer Army. // Thoughts : Retreating may be bitter, but we'll be back better than before. I can guarantee Winter will regret this! // Current Theme: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Rebellion OST - Take Your Hands

Close your eyes, keep silent.
Think about the reason you were born.
Look inward to learn the truth.
You were born to develop your soul.

Starry sky healed their minds.
The blue sea wrapped them with a generous mind.
Yet, they make the same mistake many times.
Loosing their reasons like a beast.
The truth is, only one....

"As you sow so shall you reap."

Lauren watched as the lord of autumn rose thanking the other two for healing him. Now that she thought about it, she was in the presence of the two gods of the seasons, and her best friend who was one of the goddesses. She would be more excited if these were on lighter terms, but the feeling of having to retreat was bitter on her tongue, but she knew that they couldn't fight the dragon at their state. They needed to work together, and she wanted to ensure eveyone around her was ready for such a task. Hearing the knight mention about his duties, she looked at the ground focusing on the wall behind them to rise up, and shatter into dust as a message of retreat to her troops.

Before replying to the Autumn knight, he vanished into an eagle to find his champion. A small smile appeared on her lips before noticing her friend begin to stand up. Her smile instantly faded as she looked back at her taking a step forward as Iris fell into her arms. Hugging the lady of Spring close, she smiled slightly as she stated the healing took a bit more out of her than she thought. Lauren snickered slightly. "Adrenaline, and worry can do that to you..." She stated as they got their bearings straight of the events unfolding around them. What a day indeed, and thinking back to the zombies that were once her allies....She needed to start training again to be used to human enemies. Her ignorance, and pure heart from the reformation in the church got the better of her....Never again.

As Lauren, and Iris walked, Lauren kept a firm grip on her friend's hand even if she was using her less and less as a walking stick. Her eyes lowered when her friend mentioned the ending of the battle not being the best, but she looked ahead seeing everyone there. Including Jayce. "Well Iris, think of it this way...We learned from this battle the things we need to work on to better prepare for the future. No one was expecting this to happen. No one had control over it. If we did, this would be too easy." She said with a small grin as she spun the leader around gently before tapping her foot sort of hard to signal to Iris that she was going to sit on a study rock. Only if she wanted to though.

Letting go of her hand, Lauren stared at her own for a second having memories of when they were kids. Whenever they were running from others from a prank or theft, She was the one who always guided Iris. Being a street rat had it's perks back then, and now it was time that she got back to those old habits. Heck, she was already thinking of strategies while they were walking together. Since she knew the truth about Iris, her siren screams would come in handy if combined with something, but she couldn't figure out what exactly. Looking at Iris, she spun her heel around taking in the current situation before stopping in front of her friend once again. "It appears everyone that was able has been able to return to camp. Besides resting, what are your orders, Lady Iris?" She asked bowing her head slightly.

Swans sing before they die.
Their songs resound throughout the sky.
And I drop a rose petal down the sea of blood and tears.
I keep praying

Why do you feel nothing?
Why do you injure one another?
Why? Aggressive culture of despotism.
Why? You'll never win the cursed war!

"Do not you...hear god's voice?"

Things were dying off and actually looking positive. The King of Ausutmn was getting up and was already barking commands. The knights of the different seasons, Summer and Autumn began to spread out to start their own tasks from ordering the troops to retreat to falling back themselves. From the sounds, even the walking corpses had either all fallen, or fell victim to the fleshy violation of nature that was the dragon. However, everyone knew that the dragon was going to be too much and even after Winters screech to retreat, it was no doubt that it would be.

Eventually, even Ren had found her way over to the dispersing crowd but she had must have been there longer than he realized. She had erected a wall to discourage the horde from approaching. It had soon fallen to dust as it was no longer needed but also as a signal to the Spring troops. Iris was even getting up, though weak. She had almost fallen, which pinged an instinctual reaction from Jayce but Ren had caught her and helped her. As they passed him to leave, he followed quietly behind.

After a few minutes, Iris was needing a rest and Ren did a good job at that. As if by her nature, she clicked her foot to signal that she was letting the goddess down. It was fascinating to watch. The kind of relationship that the two had made Jayce more than a little bit jealous. He had never had that kind of connection before, with anyone. One that he could trust and they could trust him. Almost to a point, he didn't want it. He didn't want to have the need to be dependent on someone that much. Though, it wasn't the time to be thinking about what he wanted. With a bit of a smile but no words, he looked to the girls before he took his leave to direct the armies.

The battle was dying out which lead a mass of spring soldiers to be standing in the middle of masses of bodies, unsure of what to do. For those who did see the wall crumble, they already took their leave back to the camp. The others, and Jayce's own, were left standing unsure of direction. With a commanding voice, Jayce finally spoke. "Spring, we need to fall back." Most of the men and woman looked confused with the orders, but they knew not to question him and did as they were told. Jayce followed closely behind.

It didn't take an expect to know and see that Alyss was about down for the count. She had thrown a lot into what she had down which all in all was almost a suicide attempt, but as he had seen, it had done its job. She almost wasted herself in attempt to pause for oncoming battle for at least a little longer. It was a ludicrous move for little benefit, or so it seemed. Bryson didn't question her or anything that she did. He might question who she enlisted... but never her herself. So, even with Zeyada and Dylan both pointing out the obvious, he kept his mouth shut. At this point, his mind was almost completely shut off and his body felt the same. It wasn't necessarily that he had over exhausted himself physically, but he, without a doubt, almost screwed himself mentally. No one else knew that kind of feeling and it was hard to even be a part of something where no one did. With a bit of a sigh, he did his best to keep his mind alive so that if something did happen, he would be aware of it.

It was almost convenient. At the moment that Bryson began to make the conscious effort of staying mentally available, Alyss had returned to herself. She was no longer possessing the body of a demented dragon but rather she was within her own appearing weak body. Her first reaction was intended toward her son. Another genuine family gathering. With a slight clench of his teeth, he stuffed his hands into his pockets and turned slightly over 90 degrees. This wasn't his issue and the more he watched, the worse he felt. The last thing that he needed right now was to mess with the terrible feeling her already had.

It wasn't long after that he heard the words Mon Chou come from a delicate voice from beside him. Alyss's arms were then wrapped around his waist which caused him to turn so that he was facing her. Freeing one of her hands, she reached up and gently placed it upon his cheek. Looking at her, his heart softened ever so much. His heart had become a block of ice, almost emotionless with the only care being the things that occupied the world with mankind and general humanoids not included. The strong bitterness he felt was hard to recover from and so far, it had not happened yet. However, as ironic as it was, Alyss had a way of melting his hard to an almost human state.

Alyss's slight teasing had even brought a small smirk to Bryson's face even though he had no words in return to her. It was an interesting humor as he, of all people, needed to grow the least. He was a massive man. He was that way by design. Hard work and genetics did crazy things to a man. Eventually, she shifted her position so that the two were interlocked by their arms. She clung tightly to his chest before she finally spoke of her plan. Alyss spoke of an idea that was just as bizarre as all of her other ideas. It involved practically invading the other seasons, but not by force. This alone was slightly hard for Bryson to quite understand. He wasn't a people person by any means and this plan was calling for him to be. Though, she seemed to have everything planned out already and knew better than he did anyway. Dyan was addressed for Summer, Zeyada was Autumn. Alyss and himself for Spring. It was good that he wasn't going alone to Autumn, or Dylan for that matter. That knight of theirs wouldn't live past the night and the whole plan would be blown. But she knew that somehow.

Although Bryson was reluctant, he knew what he needed to do and it wasn't leading an army or purely defending his queen either. This task he was given involved word play. Though,on the plus side, he had Alyss with him. Maybe this was more of a defense mission, for him at least. If she did all the talking, things would be great. With their arms still locked, he started off toward the spring base of operations. After a few minutes of walking, he finally spoke. "Alyss, I know you are weak. Would it be easier if I carried you?" It was probably a strange question, but if he could help her in any other way than the plan itself, he would be more than willing to do so.

It seem all was going in a good direction at this point retreat was the only way to go. When Riki began to show her support of retreating Veles places a hand on her shoulder for a few seconds. We have their full support Rikki we're leaving to fight another day. Before the lords departed he had to give them more advice.Zamir,Iris keep your guard up but rest who knows what tricks the ice witch has up her sleeve. Make sure you keep your wits about you weeds can grow in any garden. What he means by that is anything can happen in war and they're no exception. Veles took Zamir words and rolled them over they would meet in a few hours was that a wise idea? For they know winter could be making plans to thwart any chance of victory they had! The part about the troops heading home made him content tired soldiers are a no go.

It was decided on his own that he was going to be the one to plan as everyone else rested. Turning back to Rikki his face expression was softer and humble what came next was a small kiss on the cheek. Veles turns away I thought I was going to die..I may not get another chance to let my feelings out. However this is not the place or time to be doing this and I know you can put two and two together. The tone of his voice was softer and more relaxed then ever before but it faded as soon as it came.I'll be going on ahead Talen is off looking for Axel wherever he maybe.

Deep down inside of him he could feel a dark voice saying ‘’serves him right for not following orders’’;Veles burred those dark thoughts as soon as they surface everyone has darkness in them. Veles takes one more look at the now frozen dragon his expression was strong and determined looking more like his usual self;with one turn and a step he walks off leaving the field. Back at camp he made sure to double his army defenses. The camps were now in a ring formation with three layers, the outside being made of strong defense knights with strict orders to not let anyone pass without a valid reason, the second ring was made up of elite soldiers who took the place of the first when shifting and the third ring is where everyone rested and the injured healed. Veles camp sat in the center of it all well armed guards of four stood around the camp that shine of royalty. Veles sat on the floor Indian style and not at his desk deep in thought and smoking to boot.

The air smelled of strawberries from the crimson smoke that filled the room. What he is smoking is a magical plant from his homeland that takes on the scent of many different fruit. It is said that it makes the smoker healthier with each puff and relaxes the mind. As he sat there thinking he was forming strategies on how to beat the dragon once and for all. So many ways to kill it I know fire is it weakness seeing how fire is its main weakness. Fire and wind to mix very well we can trap it in a vortex of fire or have spring trap it in a dome with holes in it and blast fire into the dome roasting it. We could use wind to tare it to pieces before it can regenerate if it has that ability anyways as it tries to recover that is when summer let loose a barrage of flames or one giant fire ball to engulf the creature.

Those were his thoughts his plans he would present to the the other leaders. When he opens his eyes slowly he places the golden dragon pipe down and enjoys the smell of strawberries on a summer day. His next move was to give a speech to his soldiers about their recent retreat but for now he will just relax. A image of a certain woman with silver hair appears in his mind he couldn't help but smile before falling to his back hands behind his head and eyes closing.

OCC:His resting for like a few seconds before he acts again.

✔Theme Song:Veles New Theme- Lies

✔ Personal Theme: Yago Island

✔ Battle Theme: Unlimited

Abilities/Weapons:
Wind manipulation:This is most practice skill other than spirit summoning. He started at a young age and now that he is this old he already master it a long time ago. I will list techniques that his knows in detail.

- Step of wind: The fastest wind ever recorded was 253 mph times that by three = 759 . He is able to go beyond the limits of earths wind speed because his is of a higher power if he wanted to.When using the step of wind he becomes the wind instantly phasing trough attacks however; he cannot attack in this form. It takes a lot of energy to become the wind, and move at such speed so, his maxed usage is three.

(Wind Bombs): He crates pockets of compressed air the orbs hold torrents of air which he fires at enemies they explode on his will. When they explode the release violent winds that shreds the ground apart. He can release about thirty in one go creating devastation everywhere he chooses to strike. This technique is good when fighting large amounts of enemies.

(Tornado Push) : He concentrates his wind into one of his blades compresses it and then release it on to his foe. A large tornado is unwrapped from his sword in a stabbing motion. The force of wind is great that it starts to tare things a part. If caught in one of these the target is twisted around violently like a rag doll before the tornado dispels. When it dispels it blows away creating a large creator.

(Blade Of Wind) : A buff for his sword to give it that extra kick! The wind acts as layers of steel for his blade making it sharper, not only that its length increases three times as well, and then the blades is as light as air he can swing it way faster than ever before. speed, reach and sharper this buff only last for five post also the blade is known as its pure form in this state.

(Grand Wind Wall/Dome)
: Veles creates a wall of rapid winds that block off or repel attacks from his enemies. The wall can even become a dome over him or his allies. The wall is not indestructible as it can be destroyed by powerful attacks! The purpose of the wind wall is all out defense against enemy attacks if he should be over run. The bigger the wall the more power is needed to maintain it so his max length of time for keeping it up is four post.

Note: These are just some moves I thought I would share with you lot. He is not limited to just using these moves in combat however because thy're many things you can do with wind such as flight, hurricanes etc. The moves are not meant to be over powered and I will make sure not to spam just one move throughout a fight not my style.

Spirit summoning (master level):

Spirit Solders: They're highly skilled solders that once served Veles father years ago. They're mostly skilled knights, archers, berserkers, monks etc. They may not be the strongest of sprites but, they're reliable comrades. At the moment he can only summon five of them on the battlefield. He can only maintain them in the field for five post.

Spirit Of Healing-Palutena: The spirit of healing steps forth and heals all that veles commands. Her only goal is to heal not fight s as soon as he summons her she is gone almost immediately.
Palutena

Spirit Of Combat- Solomon: Spirit of combat he takes on foes no matter how many there are. He stands about 6 foot 8 and can take hits as much as he can deal them. Being a spirit and all his more powerful than any human and with his sword Draken he is force to be reckon with.( Post limit 4)
Solomon

Spirit Of Defense-Metallica: A spirit that looks like he was made from metal itself is his greatest protector. Though her skin looks metallic it is not in fact no one really knows what her skin is made of.She can take hits like a champ but even she has limits she cannot stay on the battlefield for long(three post). Though she is defense she does have a powerful lance for offense back up.
Metallica

Spirit Of Magic-Ramza: He is a magic user trough and trough with powerful spells he is very versatile on and off combat, Though he may be a spirit he does share the weakness that all mages do lack of armor. ( He last for four post)
Ramza

Note: None of the spirits are invincible they can be beaten and if they are they will need to recharge in the spirit world. All spirits have a limit to how long they can stay out on this plane of existence. Every time a sprites summoned a bit of his stamina is sapped so over using them can leave him vulnerable.
xxxxxxx☽★☾xxx WEAPONS:

Anemoi Dual Blades: Two sets of blades that are made to work in perfect harmony with Veles wind manipulation. The blades can be connected to form a spear weapon giving him mid range, short range and long range capability.
User Image

Anemoi Giant Wind Fan: This fan is the size of a large boulder ans more effective with using the wind then his swords. It is mostly used to cause great destruction with a mighty swing! The fan can change from a normal fan size to the size of a blunder on his command.

Rikki gave a slight nod as Vales addressed her Letting her know the other leaders had agreed to pull their forces out of the battle. She let a small sigh of relief escape her as she closed her eyes and listened to the leaders speak of their plans. Mostly their words just washed over her, Their meaning escaping her as she tried to cope with the steady throb in her side. The cool air and healing effects from their various sources had staunched the bleeding for the most part, But she would have one of the squires bandage her up once she had retired to her quarters. It was retreating footsteps that drew her out of her thoughts. That and the sudden kiss on her cheek from her Leader.

His next words had her confused for a moment, But the realization had a flush coming to her face. The moment was over as suddenly as it had begun but Vales was right, This was not the time or the place for this discussion to occur. That and Rikki did not know what to do with this new found information. Her people were not ones to place much stock in affection, No honor and duty where the things that defined the manticore people of the mountains. So much like her father had taught her, She tucked these thought away and brought to the forefront what she knew best, Her duty. Before Vales walked away he mentioned that her fellow knight was off looking for their Champion Axel. She would need to make time to present herself once the infuriating man made his appearance. She did not need to stoop to his brash ways but she had been absent for a good bit of the battle.

Within minutes she was in one of the medical tents located in the center most ring of the Autumn camp. Seated within one that was treating the least injured of the troops, Where the novices tended to the wounded while the more skilled tended to those who were more gravely hurt. She had a young girl who had the scent of spring about her tending to the mace wound on her side. While the girl attempted to banter with her, Rikki found herself only making only the occasional comment. The implications of what Vales had said to her running through her mind like a broken record. She gave her head a small shake to clear it. "Sorry, M'lady. The wound is deep and mending it will cause some pain. But once its done you'll be as good as new" The girl said as she adjusted her hands before returning to her healing efforts, A soft green light emitting from her palms. Rikki mad a non committal noise and closed her eyes and tried to focus on the healing of her wound instead of her predicament.

By the end of it Rikki did indeed feel as good as new. Though the healer had said she would need to come back for a follow up healing before she was fit for open combat again as she wrapped her ribs. Outside the tent the knight stretched and took a look around her, The scent of blood was strong her in the inner ring of the camp. She watched with sad eyes as a set of healers took another body to the tend that served as a place to prepare the dead for the funeral pyre. The losses had been grievous to the Autumn forces, As they had been the closest unit when that dragon had been formed. With a deep breath she registered that scent in her mind, Making a vow to herself that she would not allow this to happen again. She needed to meet with her fellow knight and the champion she was sworn to protect to coordinate their efforts for the fight ahead. Out of this last battle they were by far the most uncoordinated as the other knights and champions had worked together for their cause, She had not even seen Talen or Axel during the last fight.

With that in mind she had no trouble figuring out where her next stop should be, Her own quarters. It was a small tent but it was all she required, Preferring to change into her tiger form and sleep outside. The one bag that she had dropped on the battlefield had somehow found its way her, No doubt one of the soldiers saw it as an excuse to run from the battle. She shook her head as she changed from her traveling garb, Easing the black material of her undershirt over her head when she felt how tender the muscles were. Swapping out her garb for a black long sleeve surcoat that bore the white manticore sigil of her people on the left breast. A pair of white breeches, knee high black boots and black gloves finished the attire that she chose. This would make her easily discernible from the others in the camp who usually bore the device of their respective kingdom. Her thoughts were that this would help her to locate her champion and fellow knight should they be looking for her as well.

Leaving her tend she made her way through the rings out to the edge of the camp. One of the elite guards that guarded the camp began to speak up as she crossed the boundary that they had been ordered to guard. But another guard who recognized her sigil let her pass without a word and spoke in a hushed voice to his fellow. Just beyond the edge of the encampment she had a clear view of where the battle had taken place, And where the dragon now stood encased in ice like some terrible monument. Here she would wait, Having a clear view of those who came and left the camp, For her fellow defenders of the Autumn.

Autumn!!?? Ot all the seasons she was sending him to autumn!? There was no way for Zeyada to hide his displeasure for this assignment. He understood why she would not send him to Summer, but come on, he thought he was far better suited for Spring. Plus, Autumn seemed so boring and rigid in his mind that he was sure he would go stir crazy. Flipping nuts. He glanced between The others wondering what they had done to bring this misfortune onto him. There was no way this was his fault. "As you wish..." He said softly, far from his usual cheery demeanour. This was going to be a laborious task and he was not looking forward to it. With Brysons offer to carry Alyss that left Zeyada the chance to begin his infiltration of Autumns forces.

He would indeed need a disguise, something that made him look less winter and more...anything else. With the little elven magic he knew he could change a few things about himself. His hair, from white to its original shade of black. His eyes, from gold to green. And his face, a few slight alterations and he looked a little more like his sister. He figured if he was going to have any fun with this it would be to confuse those who had come into contact with her, denying any relation. For clothing he chose the most drab outfit he could put together on such short notice. Something that would get him noticed but not too noticed.

Then he left winters camp on foot, no powers incase they saw him coming. Now, who to approach to get him the information he needed the fastest...

Veles awoke from his little nap and called forth his generals all five of them as he began to fill them in. I think it is best that we combine the powers of wind and fire to destroy the dragon. With this power we can take it out with ease also I've my triumph card ramza the spirit wizard. As for you guys you have your orders I trust you can complete them? All five general gave him the custom autumn salute. There orders were to make sure everyone had enough food, make sure the camp defenses were top notch no one solder out of place, the call in for more reinforcements seeing how this was not that max of his army that would have to wait and finally send the stalkers out to watch the borders of the camp and beyond.

As the generals left Veles stood up strong he almost had the desire to move out on his own and attack the frozen dragon himself but first he needed to get the poison out. He close his eyes and his mind starts to drift suddenly a seal appears before his very feet. A green powerful light shines from the seal and then came the blinding light then she appears Palutena the spirit of healing. Her elegant frame towered over the lord as she offers him a charming smile that made him red. Without even saying a word she could could see the poison in his body and it was nothing she couldn't handle but was he sure? She tilted her head to the side as if asking are you sure.

When he did summon her it was to heal others but not it was for himself this was sort of rare. Don't look at me like that..I know but in order to keep my people even safer I need to be at my best. I know it seems selfish but it is for a good reason my lady.Palutena ends her head tilt with a node understanding his position. She lifts her mighty staff upwards and a emerald graceful aura washes over Veles whole body. Veles literally turns emerald green as the healing was underway and when she was done Veles turns back to normal.

He felt different he felt great he no longer felt sick it was pretty amazing feeling.I thank you with all my heart lady Palutena he falls to one knee and bows before her.The spirit face went bright red and waved his bow away to say it is not necessary. Veles stood up as the spirit fades into green energy he promised her he would not let this go to waste. The seal vanishes as well and Veles was out of the camp in short order his people needed him. As the men and women crowded around him as he called them forth Veles stood at the center of a large group his voice elevated by magic.

My family my friends my soldiers today we made a retreat,,now there is no shame in fleeing a battle to save lives and regroup. It may seem like a bitter pill to swallow but remember this and remember well we all walked into this war hoping to to put an end to this madness. We all know what was at stake and we took the risk we fight for a reason do not let that reason fade into despair. We fight for a better world and though we may have lost this battle but the war is far from over,we fight so the next generation doesn't have to,we fight so the next generation doesn't have to suffer,we fight to keep the planet from being encased in never ending winter! I know it seems hard down right painful to lose comrades but even in total darkness light..hope can be found. Fight with a new purpose are fight for a old one but no matter what we shall never give up or surrender! Till the last man standing we shall fight! With his last sentence he punches his right fist into the air erupting a chain reaction of cheers and claps all around the whole camp. There was hope he always had it in him and that hope would never fade no matter how harsh things become this is what his father passed down to him.

When he was done speaking he ate and drunk with his men and it was truly a peaceful meal a time to reflect and move on. When he was done he left the camp to look upon the battlefield once again this time on the outskirts of the camp. He notice Rikki was here as well but they were far apart. Veles gave a soft sigh as he still remembers the scene he made when he kissed her cheek it made him feel light. For now the lord of Autumn would just watch and listen to the wind spirits that danced this day or was he? Veles pulls out both his dual blades and spins them around before stopping into a stance;with a deep breath the man begins to practice each movement perfectly execute thousands years of strict training. As his blades dance Veles eyes are closed shut as he sync his movements with the wind spirit a sight to behold for all to see.

It amused her to see all the disgruntled looks on their faces. Even though they belonged to her faction, they were rather straight-laced people. Alyss didn't need to feel their emotions to sense their obvious displeasure. Giggling, she ruffled her champion's dark hair. The young man truly wanted to be seen as grown up, but it was always adorable to see him sulking. "What is a man but a large child?" she cajoled. "Perhaps you could learn a thing or two about fun." She had known Dylan his entire life. The ancient felt like she was more sure of who he was than she was of herself. He loved to gather intelligence and he enjoyed this pastime in the darkness. However, in order for him to reach his true potential, he had to understand people on a deeper level. This experience should provide a whole new dimension on the information he gathers. Before her son departed, Alyss unbound herself from Bryson's side and captured the teenager in a firm embrace. Her body in its current state lacked warmth, but she smiled regardless, pecking Dylan's forehead before sending him off with a wave. A part of her wished to see these "pleasantries" he spoke of, but the woman knew she would find out soon enough. Zeyada's dissatisfaction was a different sort than Dylan's moodiness. It took away from his usual cheerfulness and replaced it with a serious tone that turned her smile lopsided. She understood that his personality was better suited for the jovial spring troops, but of all her men, he was, by far, the most persuasive. Autumn's stiff demeanor could use a gentler touch. Her choice was also based upon Autumn's Champion's previous encounter with Bryson and Dylan. Such a rough, barbaric aura, there was no way she could have missed it. With the way Dylan was feeling when she arrived, the man was obviously a bully. Alyss didn't trust herself with him. The woman peered at her elvish lover as he made discreet changes to his appearance. It was almost nostalgic and she caught herself regressing to a time where she felt emotions of her own. That wouldn't do. As she straightened her spine, her gaze trained on his transforming eyes, she mumbled a quiet, "I'll see you soon, Mon Cheri." If no one knew better, they would have mistaken her tone as one of compassion. The Lady of Winter was not capable of compassion. Within a single step, her lips met his in a chaste kiss and he departed as well.

She was left alone with her gentle giant, an ironic term to say the least. Bryson was a man suited for war, not politics. Regardless, she adored him. Of all her followers, it was he whom she related to the most. There were no games with him. Her shoulders relaxed as she found her place by his side. The half-breed towered over her small stature, but she rather liked the feeling of his warmth, his presence bringing her comfort. He was her protector, through and through. After a short time of tracking footprints in the snow, Bryson spoke up. His consideration for her earned him a soft smile. Holding up a finger to say wait a moment, Alyss unbuttoned her long, bloodstained overcoat. It would be useless to her in Spring's territory, but she had grown fond of it. It was one of the last things her human mother had made for her. She crouched down and set it into the snow carefully. Their footprints disappeared from the snow. The cloth was saturated with enough blood to remain damp and despite her weakness, she painstakingly began to separate the red from the immaculate white of the coat. One by one, she stripped off each article of clothing, unashamed of her bare skin and scars. She did the same for her skirt and the rest of her clothing. Her body would be useless soon. The snowflakes on her leggings had all but disappeared and the fabric remained black, the fingerprint of the demon that lurked inside her. There wasn't much she could do about that. The ravenette slowly began to attire her form once more. Her body shook with lack of energy. It didn't matter that the material was fine. She wouldn't wear anything of lesser quality, a trait her long-departed mother had instilled in her. Seamstresses had fingers of magic. When her strength is restored, she will edit her companion's outfit to match. It had been a while since she had last sewn. Darkness infringed on the edges of her vision. Alyss placed a hand on the man's forearm. Her sheer strength of will was the only thing keeping her conscious. Blue orbs wandered to his face and she held her arms out like a child waiting to be picked up. Her thoughts were already straying, but she knew, win or lose this war, nothing would ever be the same in the land of Edolas. It was a battle of attrition and naught a soul could stop the hell she was determined to bring to earth.

Fenik awoke to the familiarity of the inside of his tent, a pole running it's length to create the peak directly overhead. It wasn't a very long nap he took, but it was a deep, rejuvenating rest. He knew the chaos he had to face outside, and thus was not excited enough to jump out of bed. He just wanted to lay there and stare at the wooden pole directly above him. Only one thing changed his mind and made him move: the grain of the pole was more dense on the left side. Realizing how futile an effort it would be to attempt to correct this, he finally sat up to forcibly look away. The cot was not the most comfortable sleeping surface, but it caused less discomfort than the ground. If the ground was the only option, he'd just go phoenix form and find a nice place to nest, even though he wouldn't get as deep a sleep as when human. For some reason, though he was born a phoenix and as that had few concerns, he felt as though he was meant to be human; as if it was natural.

Fenik's tent was medium sized, and he appreciated the space as well as the quality of it's construction. He stood and clothed himself in his average attire: a button-down white undershirt, black slacks, black vest, and black bow tie. Each piece was fitted to line up perfectly center with his body. Finally his socks and shoes, applying his left sock on the left side of his cot, then the right sock on the right side of his cot, then his left shoe on the left side of his cot, then his right shoe on the right side of his cot. Then back to the left side of his cot to polish his left shoe, then the right side of his cot to polish the right shoe. After spending several minutes perfectly folding his sheet and blanket, Fenik placed them at the head of his cot, with his pillow on top, making small adjustments until they were perfectly lined up. Fenik finished by carefully brushing and flossing his teeth, then combing his hair with his Dapper Dan pomade such that it lay perfect all around. A quick shave and he was ready to go. Not a single detail missed, as usual.

Fenik's habits began to form right after he received his human form. He feels that, as a human, he has a better appreciation for perfection. Though perfection is nigh impossible, he has long felt the urge to attempt to make things as close to perfect as possible. Patterns, symmetry, repeatability; all things that Fenik sees as perfect. He believes in art and creativity, but that such things must also be perfect. Back at home, Fenik has a few art pieces of his own even. His favorite is a perfectly framed and matted Rorschach card. The left and right sides perfectly reflect each other. The black and white create a stunning contrast. Some think that symmetry is restrictive, but in this white rectangular space, the perfectly reflected black creates a universe of diversity, enthralling the imagination to see an innumerable amount of possibilities. He misses seeing it, but he can at least partially trace it in his mind.

After spending a minute with his eyes closed, his mind re-tracing the black ink splotch, Fenik decided it was time to face the day. Stepping out with his left foot followed by his right, he approached the front flaps of his tent and swung them aside. The light, sounds, and smells of the outdoors hit him all at once and he felt like he was being born from the comfortable womb he had set up into the harsh and cruel world. No sooner did his eyes adjust to the light that he was struck down with despair. A young boy, appearing to be in his teens, looked toward Fenik right after the grand exiting of his tent. Fenik stared for a moment, squinting his eyes at the boy, then briskly marched over to him. " No. No no no no no. This won't do." Fenik's world had been crushed by the outrageous attire this boy was wearing. His shirt was a dirty rag, his pants hardly able to be called that. His feet, my gosh! This boy needed immediate tending to. Fenik stood before him, looking him up and down and contemplating the options. "I need to do something with you. This simply will not do. Sewn on patches even! Hmm, this won't do.... I think we can fix that.... I think I can work with you. Come with me, I'm going to do you a favor. I have clothes and supplies in my tent to fix you right up. I'll tailor it to fit as well. Now come." Though Fenik is usually more soft spoken, these words came out affirmative and intense. To step outside of his perfect little world and be immediately met with such a visual disaster was an atoneable offense, though he had to take care of it immediately. "Come right now," Fenik once again emphasized to Dylan.

All words of retreat came to a halt as an unknown face appeared among the Lord and his protectors of the season. Accompanied by two of the summer soldiers who had been tasked with guarding the perimeter, They explained that they had found the boy heading toward the battlefield. Zamir explained to the boy that approaching the abandoned battlefield would surely make the enemy think they were advancing again and break the momentary truce that they had. It was then that the lord offered forth an alternative, Telling the boy he could stay in the camp with no charge since they had ample provisions. They all shared a momentary look with one another, Their reason for having an over abundance was a sad topic none of them really wished to discuss. No what they needed to do was make this apparently lone survivor of the village feel welcome. But he was but a boy, Sure they had plenty of work for a man, But a boy should not be made to scour armor and dig graves.

There was a few passing moments of uncomfortable silence that were brought to an abrupt end by Fenik. Sanka had always known that the phoenix knight preferred order to things but this was a whole different level of OCD. The only other situation he could compare this to was when Him and Fenik had met for the first time. There had been a very similar set of words tossed about, Sanka put a hand to his eye patch as he thought of that meeting, It had been the source of the whole conversation. With a smirk he threw an arm over the young man's shoulders and smiled at Zamir. "I think what our humble Fenny means is that we'll take care of the tyke while you take care of all the lordly stuff you do. Also for the retreat consider my ships at the realm's disposal for however long we need be at war." Sanka said with laughter dancing in his good eye. Without so much as waiting for a reply from Zamir or giving the boy a chance to oppose he steered him toward his companion.

Placing the boy between the two of them, Sanka took the wineskin from his belt and took a long swig. Whipping his mouth on the back of his glove he tapped his eye patch with a finger."Ill help ya play dress up with...Er...Whats your name?" He said looking down at the boy, But before he could answer he shook his head and continued on."But remember, This is not part of the equation, Fenny." He said with one of his lopsided smirks Before continuing to steer the boy forward with his larger frame.

SpringXXSummerXXAutumnXXWinter

CHAPTER TWO

On the battlefield of Serinola a mighty battle took place. At the given time, the other seasons led by Iris of Spring, Veles of Autumn and Zamir of Summer were winning the battle. Bodies were fallen and the winter forces were slowly being diminished, as the seasons started to gain momentum in the battle. Although Zamir and his forces were late, the losses heavy on Autumn's side, but it seemed like victory was just on the horizon. A battle won, meant that they were closer to winning the war. However not all was good and calm. Alyss would not take falling so easily. She summoned a little play thing for the seasons to fight, the forces of the undead. At first they were overwhelmed, fighting their dead comrades, but eventually learned that they cannot back down. They mustered their courage and fought back. Still it wasn't enough for Alyss. She decided to make her presence known. Using her powers, she summoned a mighty dragon made of both living and the dead. Since Autumn's forces were closer, a good portion of their soldiers were swallowed up, forcing the season forces to retreat. They did. They rather retreat and fight another day than die in a non-winnable battle or that was there way of thinking after all. So retreat they did to fight another day, one where forces working together could beat Alyss and her winter army.

Alyss under the false notion of truce, decided that it wasn't enough to win the battle. She wanted more. So she gathered her trusty soldiers, Bryson the loyal giant, her champion and son Dylan and her knightly lover Zeyada. She intrusted them with a special task. Her forces would be divided and sent to infiltrate the camps. She wanted extra information to find out what the seasons were going to do and what they planned to do next. She sent Zeyada to Autumn, who was not all that happy about it. Zeyada felt like he was better off in Spring. Dylan was sent to Summer and her and Bryson were headed to Spring.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the next chapter in our tale. Alyss has divided up her forces and sent them to the different seasons. What will be learned at these camps? Would the camps find out there are spies among them? This is suppose to be an undercover mission after all. Would friendships be formed between the winter spies and their allied companions? Would Winter destroy the seasons from the inside out? Time will tell and secrets might be revealed. Who knows, but could this be a victory for the winter or would it actually be a victory for the seasons?

However there is something that Alyss doesn't know. Something or someone has been pulling the strings. You can't trust the shadows, for the shadows cannot be trusted. The shadows hide the darkest of secrets and something is watching from afar. They are watching and waiting. Waiting for the time, that their presence will be known, waiting for the time where all will fall. The shadows twist and turn, but they are always watching. Can you trust the shadows? Can you even trust your own sense of justice and honor? A time to question everything will soon be brought to light, but beware, as our characters will quickly learn what you see in reality does not always constitute the truth. Don't trust the shadows, don't trust the darkness and especially don't trust yourself and what reality has perceived. Good luck.

Nasir stood before what was his village, gazing at it in horror. “What?...” There was so much blood, too much of it. But there wasn’t a single body. This couldn’t have been real, all of the villagers couldn’t have been killed. His people couldn’t have been slaughtered. His world couldn’t be ending like this. Nasir was rendered petrified by distress, his emotions swelling until he overloaded. He couldn’t accept this, there had to be at least one person left. “Hello!?” He shouted at the top of his lungs, frantically running towards his home. Even if the village had been wiped out, there was no way his father could be brought down. He had taught him everything, turned him into the protector that he was. It was impossible to think that his father could be bested by anything. That being said, the state of the village was too unreal.

He ignored the large puddles of blood as he sped to his house. When he arrived at the entrance he came to a stop. “Father!” He shouted once more, hoping that he’d get a response. “Nasir!” It was his name, but not the voice of his father. “Shado…” He turned to the woman with confusion clear on his face. She was not a fighter, she barely enjoyed using a knife. Perhaps she missed the massacre like he did. But as that thought came to mind he took a glance around him, people, though mainly children were near a group of houses. There were too many survivors, where was his father? “Where’s my father!? I mean...what happened?” He looked to Shado once more, expecting an answer. “He’s gone Nasir! I watched them take him. They took so many people, we only lived because we were hidden. The things, they didn’t search everywhere. They didn’t even seem interested. Your father, he protected me, all of us!” Nas raised a hand to cut her off, he couldn’t believe it. He didn’t want to. He winced before pinching the bridge of his nose, denial wouldn’t get him anywhere. But he could move on with one thing, revenge. He didn’t care what it would take, he’d kill whoever was responsible. “What did they look like?” Shado nudged her head towards his home, the two conversing as they walked.

After a few minutes Nasir was seated in a study of sorts, seated with a piece of paper in his hand. On it was a drawing of an insignia. It was a snowflake overlapping a pair of crossed swords. It wasn’t something he’d ever seen before, but it certainly didn’t belong to bandits. It was a nation. But it didn’t matter. Whether it was large or small he’d find out what was going on. As his thoughts came to a close, Shado entered the room holding a box. “It was from your father. He said to give it to you if you were alive. Your birthday’s coming up soon...” Her voice trailed off and she smiled awkwardly before handing it to him. “I’m leaving...I’m not coming back. But I’ll send help. This is good-bye. But... I’m sure you’ll find a better guy right?” He scoffed before rising from his eat and leaving the room, he needed to prepare himself.

He left with only a bag filled with provisions and his father’s gift. Things were obviously stranger than they seemed, and this was ignoring the fact that so many people had survived. Regardless he found a trail and he followed, a two day journey putting him outside of a camp. It seemed as though his hunch was corrected, this wasn’t a bandit’s hideout, it was an outpost. Nas approached it with caution but soon after entering the property he learned that the entire vicinity was emptied. Nothing was out of place however. There weren’t any signs of blood, but it didn’t seem as though it had been evacuated either. It was just empty. “Abandoned? Since it’s so neat, maybe they left something behind.” He scouted the area before he found something interesting, a drop of blood. Focusing on it created a trail leading up to what seemed to be the largest building, the Headquarters from the look of it.

Even the inside of the building was freakishly neat, there being no sign of panic or urgency. On the floor, about a foot away from the door was a small puddle of blood. “Poor b*****d was bleeding out...” He kneeled, inspecting the puddle carefully. It was old, by at least two days. This man died the same day his village was attacked. “So maybe you knew what was going on...I hope you’re not dead…” He stood up and continued to follow the trail of blood, the puddles become a long trail just before he found the body. Whoever this guy was, he was a goner. "Maybe you can still help me out?" Nas shrugged his shoulders before crouching over the corpse, frisking it in hopes that he could get some kind of clue as to who this corpse was.

Location: Serinola; The outskirts of the Spring Camp // Status: Flustered, discouraged, and tired // Company:No one // Thoughts : If I haden't gone through those sessions...Would I be me, or just another murderous bandit... // Current Theme: The Way

After the battle, Lauren returned to her tent, but couldn't really sleep for a while. The aftermath being a full effect on her. She did eventually, and the days just seemed to pass by. From training, to welcoming new wanderers that they took in as per Iris's command to take refuge here until things calmed down. She didn't really speak to anyone during their time of rest figuring they wanted their space, and all they'd probably do was to review what happened during the battle. Thinking back, she wasn't mad at either of the spring knights about her weak moment. It was a spur of the moment thing, and they were all overwhelmed. She was lucky that the knight of Autumn snapped her out of her daze, but that wasn't an excuse for her.

Staring at the dragon in the horizon, she coiled her fist grabbing her hammer, and stepping a bit away from the camp sites. Not too far, but far enough so she wouldn't ruin their set up. "That thing....It can do some major damage if it's not slain soon..." She thought knowing earth and vines wouldn't do much at all. No one can get too close to it or it's own pull would consume them to become one with it. The thought caused her to grip her hammer tighter as she swung it to a side. She was working on trying to use her hammer with one arm more often so she would be able to use both blade and hammer. Dual wielding specific weapons she heard would give her an advantage in battle, but hasn't really practiced on it since her knight days.

As time passed, more images form that battle passed through her mind. It caused her motivation to increase so she wouldn't repeat those mistakes, but in the end, she sighed heavily in frustration slamming her hammer down, and panting heavily with her sword in her other hand. Gripping her main weapon tighter, she tossed the sub weapon away before falling to her knees still holding the hammer's handle. "What the hell is wrong with me?! I didn't hesitate like that when I was younger...What's making me do so now?!" She thought gritting her teeth in frustration with her eyes shut.

It was then that the reality struck causing her to rise her head up towards the sky past the dragon, and emit a small 'teh' "Those reformation sessions...Those were my down fall...If I haden't gotten caught that night....What would of happened?" She thought before getting up from her kneeling position, and spinning on her heel to sit on the hammer itself while leaning on the handle. Another long sigh escaped her lips as she decided to give ehrself a break for now.

Rikki had been daydreaming when it happened. Her thoughts were amazingly light for someone who had just had to cut down her own people and then watch them be sucked into a massive monster controlled by an unpredictable enemy. She thought of home, The cool mountain air and the dense forests that created a natural barrier between the Manticore village and the rest of the world. Orion, Aptly named after the first of her family that had established their home and supposedly made the original pact with the Autumn Lord some hundreds of years ago. It was a simple village with small cottages that were made into homes and simple people became families. Her daydream consisted of being back there and remembering one of her first Autumn festivals, Or at least the first she could remember. Even back then she was favored among her people, The daughter of a direct descendant of Orion and the chief's only child. That was the first time she had ever laid eyes on the Lord of Autumn, All tall and friendly with a stream of red billowing behind him as he walked among the people. Her father had presented her to him that day, She could not have been more than 7 years of age. And yet Vales had gone to one knee and hissed the back of her hand as if she were a woman grown. She remembered backing into her fathers legs before hiding behind them with a blush on her small face at that gesture and the sound of the two men laughing.

The sound of laughter was still ringing comfortably in her ears when a bit of snow fell on her cheek, Bringing her out of her thoughts of warmer days. Standing up from her crouching position she looked out onto the battlefield, Onto the dragon and she suddenly knew what she needed to do. She was a knight sworn to protect her season, And her champion. She was not meant to simply sit on her haunches and wait for him to come to her. Going to all fours she change from woman to beast, The long veil of her hair merging with her skin to give birth to the snow white fur jagged with black stripes. Bones cracked and rearranged to bare the weight of this new form composed of muscle and claw and fangs. With a snarl the massive tiger took off across the snow blanketed field, Bounding over dropped weapons and fallen bodies. Rikki's huge paws made little to no sound as she traversed the span between the season's camps and the huge crystalline statue that was the dragon. Using her now augmented sense of smell she stuck her nose into the snow and searched for any sign of Axel. Shaking her head she continued on in the direction that the winter forces had come, It was her only lead and she clung to it.

The sun was beginning to set when she finally came across a fresh set of tracks, The scent was hours old rather than days. Following the trail led her to what must have been the winter camp at one point, But now it seemed to stand as an abandoned monument to their victory. Rikki let out a low growl as she nudged her way through the first entrance she came to. It was as she entered that the scent hit her like a war hammer to the chest. Blood. A lot of blood, And the scent hardly masked the presence of someone else having passed recently. Keeping her guard up she made her way slowly from room to room, Following a combination of scent and blood drops. Stopping to scent the air she could tell she was close to whomever had passed the doorway earlier, And the source of all this blood. Coming around a final corner she came on a scene that made her stop in her tracks. A young man crouching over Axel, Under him a puddle of blood had formed, Too much blood. She did not even hesitate as she walked over and nudged the champions face with her nose, He was cold to the touch. This meant she had failed in her duty to protect her champion, She had failed her lord.

Turning her eyes on the unknown element in the room she changed into her human skin, Crouching next to Axel's body, Rikki put a hand on the hilt of her sword. "Did you do this? She asked simply enough, Though her voice hinted that the life of this man depended on his answer.
