It all reality, it was hard to truly gage how Lauren was feeling. Initially, she held an appearance on her face that told of a lot of distance. Lost hopes. From what Jayce could tell, this was a face she carried because she worried that he could cast upon her judgement. She has finally opened up to another person and that person could possibly destroy a bridge that she was buildin, all within minutes of starting it. This of course was the expression that she carried in the entirety of his words. This expression was changed quickly however as Jayce finished what he had to say. That look of a lost faith was quickly switched into something that radiated a sense of hope for the future. A sense of worth. Her eyes welled up as they began to fill with water. Jayce was no expert on girls, but he desperately hoped that the tears that were about to be she'd were those of happiness rather than sadness.

This question, as many of his were, was very short lived. Within a few very short moments, Jayce found himself being pulled down into a hug by a much shorter Ren. "Oh okay, this is happening." he said with a laugh as he relaxed his body and returned her hug the best that he could while being awkwardly bent. Eventually, her gripped loosened but did not release. Her chin rested upon his shoulder in a way that allowed her to speak much easier. Her words were clear even though they were masked by a weakening cry. "I'm glad that I can help" Jayce finally said with a lack of anything else to say. It wasn't often that he wa in situations like this and it was easy to tell.

Eventually, things have to come to an end. The embrace that Ren and Jayce shared was quickly broken when a loud clearing of the throat was heard which was common language for excuse me. Lauren reacted instantly, almost embarrassed as she stood straight which finally released Jayce. A light chuckle escaped his lips as he stood up straight, his back cracking all the way up. "Ooh, nice." he said with another laugh before he turned his attention to the advisor.

Iris was gone was she? Jayce's protective instinct caused him to worry about her but he also knew that she was very capable of taking care of herself. If it wasn't for the blindness, she could do whatever she wanted really. Which did cause for a little bit of curiosity. Someone must have gone with her and both of the spring were here. That would imply that someone else was with her. Once again, this question was very short lived. Talon was the man's name. "Hmm... Summer if I remember right. I don't know much more unfortunately." For Jayce, this was a fact that shouldn't be over looked. They really didn't know a whole lot about this Talon and he could have a lot of different intentions none of which they knew. But, as stated before, Iris was very independent. If she trusted him, then he would too. That did leave Lauren and Jayce in charge which, Jayce alone would mess up. Luckily, Ren was here and showed a new confidence. "I completely agree. Lead on champion, I'll be behind you the whole way." he said with a bright smile.

Nas needed a plan, an impressive one. It would be easy to track down winter; even if it took a bit, he could find a trail. But there was a problem. With the arrival of this mysterious man who claimed to knew his father came a question. What was he? Whatever winter was, Nas had the feeling that the man’s’ origins were somehow related. The quickest method to gather information would be to stalk and observe him. The task was easier said than done however, due to the presence of a certain enigma. “That manticore…” He groaned before pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. Manticores had a very acute sense of smell, one of the strongest noses of all the creatures in existence. He wouldn’t be able to simply follow the pair so long as her nose came into play. He stood in silence as he mused, an excited grin forming as his head turned to the cabin they had retrieved Axel’s body from. His blood could be used to mask scent. Quickly, Nas headed inside to the same location where Axel’s body had been resting and though hesitant at first, Nas smeared the blood across his clothing and body. If he wanted answers, this is what he had to do.

Though the pair had left, they didn’t leave in a hurry. Even if they had, it wasn’t as if they didn’t leave a trail to follow. With use of his wind magic catching up to the pair was trivial. However what Nas discovered upon finding the pair was far from it. Nas stuck to the floor of the forest, taking cover near a pile of fallen trees. Though the destruction of the forest was certainly concerning it paled in comparison to the sight of Rikki and and her lord. His eyes became fixated on the man as he moved about the battlefield showing no signs of fatigue or struggle. “He’s too powerful…” Nas fell silent as he watched the man continue to move. Multiple things had become clear in a single instant. The first was that Winter, whatever it was, was stronger than the most destructive being Nas had ever laid eyes on. The man’s movements and magic power were incomparable to that of any mage or warrior he had ever seen. Nas knew that even his own magic was meak in comparison. Though this should’ve given him hope, it only crushed him. Winter was an enemy that was evidently effortlessly crushing this man’s army. What hope was there? If Winter was so strong, wasn’t all of this futile? Could he even pursue revenge against such an overwhelming foe? What did that man see in Nas? What did he have that made him special? As these thoughts began to converge Nas’ anxiety began to rise, to the point where he thought that he might go insane. However, his mind was suddenly devoid of all though as a voice seemed to call out. “Fight…”

“Prevail…” The voice called out in an forceful coo once more. Nas instinctively turned his head so he could peer over his shoulders. “Fight…” The voice called out once more. Nasir removed his bag and placed it on the ground. As Nasir proceeded to open the bag, he abruptly raised his head, feeling some disturbance in the wind. As he did that, the man’s attack came. Nas reacted quickly, raising his arms to create a slight deviation in the explosion, creating an opening which caused the gust to curve around him. When the winds calmed Nasir’s eyes fell upon the bag once more. He knew what was responsible, within a second he was holding the box his father had left him. He opened the box and sitting there were two gloves, eached fitted with three knives. Nas took a moment to put them on and when he did, there was a pulse of magic energy. The gloves began to extend up his arm, stopping at his shoulder. When this ended, there was another burst of energy, this time coming from Nas. This rush, it was unnatural. Nasir knew he didn’t have this kind of power, it was coming from the gauntlets. But this was good, this was the kind of power he needed. Even if it wasn’t as much as that stranger, it was enough to put up a fight. Nasir kicked up a large gust before he darted into the battle.

He sped forward in a blinding blur of wind and lightning. These gloves wanted him to fight, and that’s what he would do. Maybe he needed to fight for a reason. Whatever it was, it started here. When he was nearing striking range of the golem he lowered his right fist. He stepped sharply to the outside and positioned himself to the golem’s front, jumping afterward. Once more there was nothing but a violent wind and a trail of lightning. Nas turned around and though they were close in timing, three separate bangs were audible. There was no doubt in his mind that the golem had been defeated. He had what he needed no, meaning it was time for answers. Only one person could give them. Nasir glared at the man before him before pointing a finger. “Who and what are you!?”
After scolding Shar, Fenik picked up the now soiled blanket and shoes he had tried to generously offer to the refugee boy, trying to not transfer any of the ground's filth to himself. He sighed and spoke in a tone that sounded like a deflated tire, "Well, if you would like something to comfort yourself, I am sure someone else could accommodate better." He turned around and went back to his tent, placing the items on a fairly clean woven wool mat with a rubber bottom lining that acted as a basic front porch to his tent.

At least the situation had cooled down, Fenik thought as he re-approached, it seemed that the boy was now taking more pleasantly to offers of sustenance. Looking around, he noticed that there was one at the moment whom he would be relieved to not have as current company. With as rough a start to the afternoon as Fenik had already experienced, he needed something to spend some time away from the ugliness of reality. Fenik spoke in an assertive way disguised as being humble. "Master Sanka, I feel the need to partake in some training. May I do so as you tend to the youth?" Then Fenik looked to Zamir and Zahara. "Zamir, I believe we have some things to work on. And Zahara, I would be delighted if you could join." Fenik had worked with Zahara and Zamir for several years, but Zahara still seemed a bit of a mystery. Now that they were this close on the battlefield, Fenik felt that was something that should be remedied. "I feel that we can learn to work quite well together as well," he directed toward Zahara, trying to not sound awkward.
