I am sorry for not really keeping you all in the loop for the past few days.
I started to work on the thread a bit Wednesday but that is about it.
At the moment I am currently on my way to a college preview day. I will be back on sunday and I'll try to get working on it some more.

Personality: Dedicated and kind to trusted individuals, krieg is a man whom most anyone can get along with. Very understanding with a good wealth of common sense and experience, as well as a general feeling of strength of will from him. Despite having been a Templar, he behaves casually and seems to be more open to like minded individuals. As an opponent, his is vicious, unrelenting, and intense, he will not hesitate to cut down one he sees as his enemy.
Biography: A dedicated young man, though unhappy with his placement in life. He was a chantry orphan and having nowhere to go or do, he accepted the offer to become a templar. He found the training to be something he liked, the discipline, and focus, as well as the skills. But he didn't like all the nonsense he was made to swallow about the Maker. So to drown it out, he conscripted into his own training of his mind and body, of tactics and how to survive on his own with no help. Nature and combat taught him more than any one at the templar training did. As he grew up, he took his vows and his lyrium. though thanks to his own self induced training, he realized what the lyrium was really doing to him.

Thusly he forcibly detoxed himself from it before it became too serious. He had some of the mages secretly help him do this, and in exchange, the mages would have his kindness and support. Later, He and a group of recruits, veterans and a small contingent of mages he knew, went to make a deal with a group of dwarves for a large shipment of processed lyrium for the mages needs in the circle. On the way back from receiving a lyrium shipment, the company of templars were assaulted by blood mages and Avvar barbarian blood thralls. Most of them were killed along with their knight captain, Only the mages, a few veteran templars and krieg himself remained. The templars intended to carry out their duty, but krieg and mages had other ideals. They killed the last remaining templars and Krieg exchanged his armor for one of the Avvar's armor. He and the mages left with the lyrium and made a lie of their own anew.

Sometime later, Krieg has appeared as a wandering mercenary, travelling from one group and job to another. Krieg has since then made a name for himself in mercenary circles, and recognizeable by his custom armor and weapons. Krieg simply seeks something to make his new life and freedom worthwhile. But hen his greatest skills are all related to combat, what is he to do?

Other: His detoxing from the Lyrium exerted so much stress on his body that it turned his hair white. He's retained the glow of his eyes from when he still had the lyrium in his system, and the glow becomes brighter in response to his mental state. He's a damn good cook, able t make a meal out of the simplest, or barest of Ingredients. He's a casual smoker and smokes from a Briarwood pipe, he prefers fire smoke cured pipe weed, but he'll take what he can get.

Right, I know you don't run this RP, but I'm sure you could help me with my characters backstory to make it suit Dragon Age. biggrin

So, I was hoping to have a Mage who was sold as soon as she showed signs of being able to do magic to a group that dealed/smuggled Apostates, which have their own rules on magic use and such. For example, they sterilize men and women, to make sure they don't give birth to any useless babies, since they don't want to dip their fingers into killing babies.

I'm still working on the backstory for this organized group, but could I hear your thoughts, or matter of fact anyones opinion who is interested to contribute? ^^

Personality: Joyce might have the word Joy in her name but she was far from it. Joyce was one of the most pessimistic person that most will ever have met. She also does not trust Templars even if they are former Templars she rather see them dead then call them an ally in the worst possible situation. A prime example of her hatred of their kind is if it was either get eaten by a dragon or accept there help she will go with the dragon.

Joyce is one that might acts like she has no emotions at all but she does feel the pain of lost and the love of friendship but she found out long ago that love and friendship is never permanent in this world so she tries to stay away from it and act like she does not care even though really it would be destroying her inside.

She also prefers to fight in the front line like a warrior cause of the ways that she fought alone versus the creatures of the wild and most likely darkspawn as well so far. Her attitude against the creatures is that she is fearless since she does not care for her own life it was not hard to fight with no fear. She is also one that welcome pain in her life since it was just one of the only thing she would admit feeling.

Biography: Joyce was raised with her dailish people and was learning under the healer of the tribe since it was her birthmother. She lived there for the most of her life where she learn how to fight and also how to heal. She was not like by the other of her people and the fact she was a mage made some of the others uncomfortable since even during training she was not scared of using it for an edge.

When she was a hundred years of age still young for an elf strangely enough she went hunting with one of her friends in the woods for a bear that was going in there food and severely damaging there camp even after moving three times they had the problem with the same bear over and over again that it was at the point there hands were forced to go after it and end its life.

They arrived there and the bear was one of the biggest bears Joyce have ever seen and her friend went in front of the beast trying to kill it. Joyce tried to help with her magic but noticed the bear ripping her friend in half. The sword bouncing towards her she looked at it and grabbed the sword shaking her head. The beast charged at her while her energy made the blade turn in a flaming sword and swung the sword that went through the animal’s neck separating the head right off the blood sprayed at her and she did not even flinch. She looks at the dead friend realising his heart was completely stopped and half of his body was dangling reviving him would cause more pain then anything she picked him up to bring back to at least be able to give the man a proper good bye.

Less than two years after was her first encounter with the darkspawn. They were still in a weaken state since it was most likely there first sighting in years. She was away to collect herbs and arrived back to these creatures attacking her home. She grabbed her sword and started fighting them she managed to kill some of them and then strangely they seem to have retreated. She rushed for the healer which was her mother to find her on the ground bleeding with one of the creatures standing on top of her. She was dying Joyce looked at the beast that seemed to be wanting another and Joyce shakes her head and said the a quote that she repeated many times after. “The Darkness in our souls pains me more than anything the darkness cause.” Her sword turn in to the flaming blade and she looks at the one and they both charged at each other she literally dropped to one knee using the momentum to slide and pass her blade through the gutt cutting it in half and then walks towards the upper body of the creature and takes her blade and stabs it in the skull.

She then started her life wandering hunting down these creatures not knowing what they were but was not about to let their action go without punishment.

Happy Monday everyone, I hope everything is going well.
Sorry for not really saying anything for the past few days, I have been dealing with a bunch of homework and I only really could pay attention to 1 rp at the time.
Luckily for everyone I am sick today! biggrin
This means that I get to lay in bed all day and not worry so much about...well anything. razz
I have started to work on the roleplay. Here is a link to the thread.
I just made the plot and I want you guys' opinions on it. I understand that there is no real "Darkspawn Threat" in the plot but...we can easily accomplish that. I just feel like that the whole Mage and Templar threat was a better starting point and therefor went along with that instead.

Personality: Despising all the odds, Arya grew up to be a rather bubbly, compassionet and fun person to be around. Awkward moments with her usually end up even worse, but in a way that everyone just laughs it off and goes on with their business. She's not the one to trust someone easily, but when she does her soft side creeps out and it's not something she can help, all she can do about this is pray that the person she decided to trust doesn't hurt her. Biography: House Eremon of the Walking Sea.

Arya Ruiz, formerly Eremon, was born to a noble family, a Bannorn. In her first years Arya was most beloved out of all five siblings, purely because she was the only daughter that House Eremon had at the time. She was showered with gifts, compliments and love wherever she went. Sounds like a fairytale, hm? Well, not quite. At the age of 12, Arya has started to show signs of Magic within her. At first they were harmless accidents that grew with power for the 2 following years, which in return gathered rumours that House Eremon is hiding an Apostate. Not shortly after the Chantry heard those rumours, Arya has been kidnapped before Templars could do anything about the child.

After two-three weeks her parents have given up on the search for their only daughter, bringing more attention and rumours surface onto daylight. Some even say that Bann Eremon has sold his own child to a organized company called The Black Hand Company, but those were once again rumours with no proof to back it up, and so everyone has forgotten about Arya.

How much of those gossips were true, you ask?

All of it.

Child at the age of 14 was sold to The Black Hand Company, to be treated for the next 11 years as a slave to a Blood Mage woman called Vivian Berley. Through her journey with mercenaries, Arya has learned a lot about survival and magic, being able to take care of herself and her teacher, Arthur Ruiz.

Her story now begins when Templars invade The Black Hand Company's base, being freed from her collar and sent to the middle of nowhere by Arthur and his Blood Magic abilities.

About The Black Hand Company


A powerful Mercenary band that holds many soldiers under their banner, A black hand on a red banner, along with a number of mages at their control. This band is powerful, and unchallenged in large part because of their numerous mages. They employ a slaving policy much like the imperium, but for mages. Because of their numbers and mages, they haven't been challenged by any authority force such as the chantry or goverments. But they are for sale, their price however is high, and who ever holds them as support for their army in a war surely has the advantage.

The leader has at his disposal, a left hand, An ex-templar and a small contingent of warriors he's trained to keep their mages in line, and a right hand, a blood mage woman who employs blood magic and reproductions of an ancient type of collar to force their mages to follow commands. She herself has no such collar, but she's the lover of this leader, and the former templar his brother. The collars are linked through her, she commands them according to the commands of her leader, and the ex-templar hunts down their escaped mages, dispenses puishment, keeps them in line, as well as fight against enemy mages with his group f warriors traned to be black hand templars, who are similarly controlled with their lyrium potions.

The black hand when not hired by any kingdom, goverment, lord or such, acts as a bandit group with a central base, sending raiding parties and returning with their loot back to their base camp.

Mages in the Black hand are treated as slaves, but they aren't necessarily mistreated. Any mage in their ranks is first sterilized, and collared. This prevents them from having children, so as t keep their population in check and keeping wild magic in check. A pregnant mage is subject to wild outbursts of power. Black hand mages are isolated from the rest of the camp and kept under supervision of their templar trained guards, not to keep them from using magic, but to stop any escapes. There mages are allowed to pursue any kind of magic they desire aside from blood magic, the collar prevents such. Mages enter a communal education among their encampment to teach the bascs and advanced spells among each other, as well as newly discovered magic or knowledge. Specialist however usually divide themselves into smaller groups, or just Master and Apprentice. The mage camp is actually quite lavish, they are well treated and respected. But it's never allowed t think they are nothing more than tools, or work animals. Good tools and work animals tend to be treated better than a stubborn or defunct one. At the center of the mage camp is a set of gallows, a reminder that any mage can be hanged if they get out of line. Normally captured escapees or resisting mages are severely punished in some ways, Including but not limited to; Beatings, lashings, imprisonment without food or water for extended periods of time, or given to the men with their magic sealed in the case of female mages.

Every member is required to have a tattoo that is clearly visible even when armored. Usually on the neck, its an outstretched black hand in a circle of red. A brand and a marking of belonging to, or being owned by the black hand company.

Not to say it's all bad, the black hand does not tolerate those who underestimate them. SOldiers who try to force themselves on another member are lightly punished publicly, but if they sneak into the mage camp for a young female mage, then they are either severely punished publicly, or hanged publicly. Bandit groups once managed to kill some of their templars and steal supplies and a few young mage children. In response half the company was marched out to exterminate these bandits and retrieve what was theirs.

The reasons why mages attempt to resist or escape is because they see this as another circle of magi, despite the relative freedom within the blackhand. That and the collar, the sterilization, and the gallows are reminders that they are not considered individuals, but as things.

The soldier cast of the blackhand is however something to be feared in the scale of war. A large army of foot soldiers with several battalions of calvary and heavy defenders, and small contingents of mobile archers that can disperse and gather up dynamically on the battlefield to create chaos and death. The mages and templars advance as one unit, to guard the mages and deal with rival mages while the mages cast their powerful spells, more often than not in unison for a devastating combined spell that wreaks havoc to enemy forces. As the final finisher, they have a fearsome Mabari force trained under the few ash warriors they have in their ranks.

Rather than just allowing independent mercenaries to join as is, any soldier of any kind wanting to join will be trained and ested by the senior members to amke sure they meet standards and follow orders.
