Mimzy was astounded that the king wanted her to get moving as soon as possible? Had he not just seen that she had been attacked and that she was on her last string of energy? A flush of anger fell over her face, but it was her own pokemon showed their fury. Murkrow let out a large shriek, glaring at the king with crimson eyes. How dare you, you ungrateful fool! he spat, but of course, no one could understand him other than Mimzy and pokemon. Even Togekiss displayed her upset, her white feathers lifted right off of her body until she looked as if each one were on end. You cannot do this, Mimzy. You were never trained against the dark arts. It's too dangerous, Togekiss argued fiercely as she kept her brown eyes on the king, daring him to raise his voice again or come closer to her. These were pokemon born in raised in a cold, unforgiving land and they reflected their instincts and loyalty that also belonged to the barbarians who walked them.

Even Clyde did not believe she was ready to go anywhere. Licking her lips as she was helped back to her feet, she did all she could to stay on them. She couldn't seem weak, she was needed and so she had to prove she could be relied upon, even if it meant putting on a face that was difficult to maintain. When it came to using her promise against her, Mimzy's face became cold and distant. It did not seem to matter that her energy was low, the bottled up anger gave her enough to grow larger in the room, the light fading and Mimzy's hulking frame, cast a dark shadow. It was something that Gruncle had done before when he had become very angry and Mimzy herself didn't realize she was doing it. "Do not challenge my word," her voice resonated through her room, magic crackling and snapping like lightning. Her own pokemon were even frightened by the shadow she cast. Mimzy then shrank back down and looked as she had before, tired. "I just need a mount."

It was when magic not of her own filled the room that an edge of her fatigue was taken away and she glanced around, wondering what was happening. It was the voice that brought splendor to Mimzy's young features. A wild grin erupted on her face, spreading from ear to ear, as a nondescript shape formed. "Gruncle!" she cried, almost throwing her arms around the body of fire. She then realized what he meant to do. She lifted her staff, doing the only thing she could think of to deflect the fire. But the spell fizzled. She didn't have enough mana to do anything. Togekiss, understanding what she tried to do, fluttered toward the fire and opened her great wings. A large gust blew back the embers away from the king and his knight.

"Gruncle, don't hurt them. That is the king and the knight is the one who helped me, he is a friend," she informed him desperately, wishing that she had chosen a regular staff into of a shortstaff so that she could lean upon it. "I am fine... at least now I am. A dark mage attack me when I searched for you. Where are you Gruncle?"
