* The more I hear of The Family, the scarier it is that they have so much influence on our government. The phrase "totalitarianism of Christ" sends shivers up my spine. How corrupt do you have to be to think joining a religion that revers Hitler as divinely appointed by God is a good idea?
* Apparently it now a mainstream Republican position to believe Obamas birth certificate is fake. my country keeps finding new ways to terrify me. Birthers chanting at a town hall meeting is a new one.
* I love Rachel Maddow's mischievous little smile when she ran her piece refuting Pat Buchannen's claim that only white people built America and only white people fought and died in the Civil war and WWII. She did not show the film i've seen of dead black army engineers in the snow, but she had lovely footage of them fighting on the beaches of normandy.
