INTRODUCTIONRebuilding a world–sometimes from scratch, and without any previous familiarity–can be an incredibly daunting task. Even with consistent visits and efforts to restore a homeworld or wonder, it is time consuming–and magic can only accomplish so much.
Not everyone is equipped to singularly handle this sort of task–nor should they have to be.
Novare was founded on the belief that such a monumental effort is more manageable when you don’t have to do it on your own. Rebuilding an entire world requires many skills and resources, some of which require years to learn and perfect.
Instead of expecting everyone to handle the task on their own, Novare is an open Order group where any Order (or Order-aligned) character can join and assist homeworld/wonder restoration efforts.
The backbone of team communication mostly occurs through an app, which shares the team’s name. The app is accessible through Senshi Phones and Upgraded Knight rings. Characters who do join the team but do not have access to those will be given a cell phone with limited access to the app.
The app itself has a few features, including profiles where characters can list skills that may be relevant to restoring or healing a world, a forum for posting requests for assistance, an in-app call and text system, and an in-app camera.
While much of the team is connected through the app, in-person events may be scheduled to build connections, share skills, and go on special missions. There is no obligation to participate; this team is designed to make resources available to characters pursuing homeworld/wonder restoration, and to make it easy to assemble a group with particular skills to target specific projects with ease.

HOW TO JOINICly, Any Order character is eligible to join, including Mauvians, Knights, and Senshi. Vanguardians may join, provided they have a genuine interest in homeworld restoration and no intention of sabotaging the team or efforts made by it. Vanguardians will need to be invited by a team member to join. In some situations, civilians may also be able to join provided they have a powered chaperone to invite and accompany them.
There is no formal process to join the team outside of a simple application; interested parties can simply sign up through the app. Characters who do not have access to the app (such as knights who have not updated their signet ring, civilians, or Vanguardians) will need assistance from an Order character to sign them up. However, once they have joined the team, a Mauvian will provide them with a custom cell phone that can access the app. More information about the cell phone can be found in the FAQ.

Carpentry/Woodworking - Whether you need something built or installed, I’m good for it. Indoor, outdoor; I’ve built furniture, fences, and all sorts of buildings. Even if you just need something decorative to look at or to replace broken pieces, I can help.
Masonry - I’m good with stonework. Fireplaces, buildings, bridges. If you can make it out of stone, I probably have. Come to Alastor to see some of my projects and you’ll find artful durability. Not many people can brag about their six hundred year old bridge, but I can.
Glass-working - If you want windows or decor, I’ve got the means to help. Alastor has all the materials I need to make storm-ready glass but I can work with other materials if you’re looking for something more tailored to your world. Clear, textured, colored. Just let me know what you need.
Restoration - I’m best with garments and small trinkets, but I’ve spent a lot of years tinkering. If you’ve got artifacts or objects that need some touchups or repair, let me take a look. If I can’t do something, I know a lot of people who can probably take over. I’m good with music boxes and some automatons but I like touching up old treasures. I can do detailing on larger projects. I’ve restored furniture, artifacts, and books. If you’ve got old garments or anything fabric that’s wearing thin or needs new life, let me see what I can do to help. I’ll try to keep Alastorian fashion to a minimum.
Cleanup - If you just need someone to move things for you, I’m happy to do it. I don’t mind a good workout. I don’t mind clearing out space. Debris or landscaping, I’m up for the task.
Gardening - I’m used to this on Alastor but if you’re looking to enhance sustainability, I’m good at prepping the land for crops and growth. I can do irrigation and soil treatment if you can get someone to make sure we know what you need. If you need to find out if something’s edible, I’ll try it.
Anything - If you want company, if you want someone to watch you back, if you’re worried about something attacking you, reach out. I’ll visit a world just to see it, and if we can get work done, all the better. I’m a jack of all trades but I’ll give you an honest assessment of my skills and let you know if I’m in over my head. Sensitivity to Historical Energy: I have a knack for picking up impressions from old places and objects -- nothing dramatic, just a sense for where significance might be hiding. It helps guide research and makes cataloging more accurate.

Potentially looking to experiment with whether focusing restoration efforts in specifics ways can expedite effects, as this seems plausible. Have been working with a Vanguardian cadet to gain more information about this - I know some of you are justifiably touchy about Vanguard involvement, but I can vouch for her after multiple visits that she has been nothing but helpful. Also, she'd love to learn more about ancient plumbing and waste management, probably.
3) Anything and everything relating to Ancestors currently inhabiting your Wonders. I am currently working towards making their existence somewhat less unbearable which should be beneficial both to them and to us (by making them more tractable and less hostile), and can provide information and firsthand experience about these things. I am looking for others who have information relating to this topic, particularly on bridging the gap between their world and our own.
4) Learning more about Wonder-enabled events, festivals, gatherings, etc. If your Wonder had a history of hosting these types of events, I would like to speak to you about the potential for reviving them in the current day and what types of restoration are required to achieve it. Skills: Access to items that can potentially provide a bridge between Ancestor realities and our own, allowing for limited interaction. Would like to potentially test one of these on other ghosts. Access to information that may be helpful in affording additional power to items or equipment, maybe, possibly, don't get your hopes up.

FAQIs there a leader?
No; this team does not have an official leader. There is no hierarchy or expectation of one to develop. Every member is free to operate independently, or can connect with other team members to fulfill their own goals or help others. If anyone has an issue ICly or wants to make a suggestion, Sailor Alastor tends to the administration work on the back end; however his involvement is not as a leader of the team so much as a caretaker of the concept.
Does the Team come together for battles?
Not necessarily; the team should not be expected to come together for battles unless it is an expected part of a request. For example, if a Negaverse-initiated brawl breaks out in Destiny City, the team should not be expected to gather and function as a combat unit. However, if a Homeworld/Wonder request involves eradicating a threat to the location (such as hostile animals or chaos creatures), then the participating members accompanying the request can arrive expecting to handle the fight.
If I join this team, am I limited to joining other teams? Courts/Brigades?
No; being on this team does not limit you from pursuing those plots. You are free to join whichever Team/Court/Brigade you want! The purpose of this team is to connect and support those who are working on their homeworld/wonder and does not demand loyalty or priority. Characters can offer aid when they are available to, but they are not expected to do anything more than what they choose to. Other Teams/Courts/Brigades may share this same goal.
How can my Vanguardian/Civilian get a cell phone? How does this phone work?
The cell phones are made by Lucien and Soleiyu and have security settings to protect against nonauthorized users accessing the device. The cell phone comes preloaded with the app but has very limited functions outside of that. It can make calls or send messages through the app to other users. It can take pictures or videos, and can log notes. It cannot access the internet or send messages/make calls outside of the app. To get a phone, a Senshi/Knight must vouch for the Vanguardian/Civilian. ICly, you can handwave that their sponsor has received a phone to give them, or that they were given one themselves. Alastor, Soleiyu, and Lucien can currently distribute them but others can be added to this list as things become more established. These phones cannot be disassembled or otherwise taken apart/used by an unapproved party.
Are there repercussions or things to keep in mind while playing Vanguardians/Civilians?
Yes; civilians must always have a powered chaperone. With a lack of magic, civilians are at a disadvantage while on homeworlds/wonders, so for their safety they should not be left alone. Civilians accepted into the group should be someone who is unlikely to ever corrupt or betray Order, so OOCly only order-aligned civs will be allowed to join. ICly, they just need an Order character to vouch for them and help them get set up. A civilian with useful skills who is offering their help would not be turned away just because they were unpowered. Similarly, Vanguardians have a unique and useful skillset and experience that could greatly help those trying to restore or develop their homeworld/wonder. Vanguardians may find homeworld/wonder restoration studies very useful to their own goals to save Velenia/Velencya. However, the team should be very careful about naming any Velencian that is assisting them, as this could make them a target for the Negaverse. Velencians should operate with caution to avoid unnecessary conflict.
Do I need to RP with other members of the team?
It’s encouraged but not required! All members of the team should be passionate about homeworld restoration, so you already have something in common with members of the team.
Can I be kicked out for inactivity ICly or OOCly?
No; availability is ICly and OOCly optional. Being a part of this team means you are ICly offering to help, but your character can be handwaved helping others (NPCs or PCs, with permission) even if you need to go on a hiatus. There is no minimum required activity. The only way to be kicked out of the team is if your character is unreasonably aggressive, dangerous, or treacherous. You must deliberately play your character in such a way that they would be deemed too problematic to be considered helpful. As long as you are OOCly respectful and plot with your partners, and as long as your character is not ICly sabotaging efforts, you/your character will not be kicked out.
Can I run plots for the team?
Please DM me with more information! In all likelihood, it would be very possible to run plots with the team, but no single character would be designated the be-all, end-all representative. All members are invited to recruit others, and the team should be respectful to one another. Team members cannot be required to participate, only invited to, and plots should be focused on homeworld/wonders. Invites can be sent exclusively to team members, or players/characters can coordinate with others (both in the team and not) to run homeworld/wonder-centric plots.
Can I request an RP where my character is invited to join?
Yes! Please just reach out to me or an existing member you want to plot with and characters can ICly be invited. I will always be available for this.
Can my Chaos or Chaos-aligned member join?
No; while characters may choose to interact with chaos characters they trust, the team itself is limited to Order or Order-aligned characters.
Will the app be added to the Senshi Cell Phone Apps?
Yes, it will be added to the Downloadable Apps as soon as I make an icon for it. In the meantime, all information can be found in this thread.
