Aishan Breeding Rules
General This thread covers breeding rules as well as directions on how to apply for breedings once your character(s) are ready.
Although there can be obviously intimate moments between characters during their relationships… That does not mean you need to always RP it out. Remember Gaia TOS; keep things PG-13.
Below are general rules for Aishan breeding in Tendaji, and the additional posts cover specific situations including single parent breedings, same-race breedings, and hybrid breedings. Make sure to read all rules carefully before you submit your forms! And if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Suhuba.
|| All Aishan Breedings involve a trip to a main settlement, where the potential parent(s) must plead their case with a mother tree.
|| Pure Aishans do NOT have reproductive organs. They cannot get pregnant.
|| Aishans may breed once they reach Stage 2.
|| An Aishan may breed up to 2 times.
|| In order to receive offspring, an Aishan (or pair) must go to their mother tree and plead with her to create a child in her likeness.
|| Children born will have a trait mix of their parents.
|| Aishan breedings are 100% random! All traits are rolled for by our artists and the babies will be a surprise.
|| Owners may choose to opt in for the chance for their younglings to be identical twins(/triplets) or near identical. The artists will roll this trait like all the other traits if the owners choose to try for a chance at them.
|| Since there is no co-owning, owners may decide who will own which child.
|| Owners will submit the names of their babies after the infant art is dropped.
|| Breedings are not typically hindered by character slots, but please visit our character slot thread for how breedings will affect character availability.
|| Characters participating in breedings have to completely finish their requirements and the youngling art must be dropped before it is considered closed. After these younglings have grown to prentice stage, the parents may begin their second breeding if they so choose.
|| Two new, special stages will accompany your bundles of joy.
Aishan Breeding Limitations
|| Each mother tree can only produce the race they originally made. (Aisha can only produce Alkidikes, Elzira can only produce Elaria.)
|| Exception to the above: Aisha is able to create Aishan hybrids (ex: alkidike/elaria). Parents must be at least half alkidike to be able to approach Aisha for an Aishan hybrid.
|| Aishan/Earthling hybrids must be at least one half Aishan in order to go to a mother tree by themself or with an earthling.
Breeding More Than Twice
|| Characters may - with special approval - breed more than the traditional 2 times. For this to happen, owners must PM Suhuba and explain the reason for additional breedings before working on the breeding requirements.
|| The PM must include the intended parents and why they would like to breed again. This may be as simple as always wanting a large family or more complex depending on the characters’ histories. Keep in mind that Tendaji does not allow one night stands, so if a character is looking to breed with multiple partners their request may not be approved without the right circumstances.
|| Characters breeding more than twice will not be able to opt for triplets! Only the number typical of that type of breeding will be approved.Additional Aishan Breeding Stages Infant
These young, adorable, vulnerable creatures must be diligently cared for. Young and innocent, they observe the world around them and wait for a time when they're old enough to create their own stories and memories.

Youngling
The school-aged children of the world of Tendaji, these younglings are finally able to tell their stories. They are given a cert and a journal and can RP with the rest of the world!

Single Aishan Breeding Rules
|| Single breeding requires an application and 3 solos.
|| The Initial Application should be completed first! It can be either PMed to the mule or posted in this thread.
|| After the Application is accepted, the first two solos should be completed and then used in the Initial Breeding form.
|| The first two solos should include the idea of wanting children and the visit to their mother tree.
|| The last must be started after applying for breeding and should involve a situation where they are expecting or finding out they are expecting. This solo must be completed before the results of breeding will be dropped.
|| When the initial form is posted, Suhuba will either approve the form or contact the parents further. Once approval is given the owners are ready to begin the last required solo.
|| All three solos should be 600+ words each.
|| One Aishan will be produced (unless requested otherwise). Female, of course.
|| This Aishan will take after her mother but the mother tree will also provide 50% of their genetics from herself. This means that the baby will not match the mother exactly (and if they are a hybrid it will be less hybrid as if they were breeding with a full Aishan)
|| Breedings involving more than one baby are not guaranteed. Owners requesting twins may roll 1d20 and if they roll a 1 or 20 they have successfully bred twins.
Aishan x Aishan Breeding Rules
|| Breeding requires 3 RPs.
|| The first two should be completed before applying for breeding and include establishing a relationship and the talk of children/trip to their mother tree.
|| The last must be started after applying for breeding and should involve a situation where they are expecting or finding out they are expecting. This RP must be completed before the results of breeding will be dropped.
|| When the initial form is posted, Suhuba will either approve the form or contact the parents further. Once approval is given the owners are ready to begin the last required RP.
|| Two babies will be produced (unless otherwise requested). Both female.
|| Bred younglings will take after their parents. This means that babies will have half of their traits directly from each parent.
|| Breedings involving more than twins are not guaranteed. Owners requesting triplets may roll 1d20 and if they roll a 1 or 20 they have successfully bred triplets.
Aishan x Earthling Breeding Rules
|| This option cannot be used if the Aishan parent is less than one half Aishan. They will have to use earthling breeding rules.
|| The Aishan hybrid parent must follow an Aishan class in order to plead to their mother tree.
|| Breeding requires 3 RPs.
|| The first two should be completed before applying for breeding and include establishing a relationship and the talk of children/trip to Aisha/Elzira.
|| The last must be started after applying for breeding and should involve a situation where they are expecting or finding out they are expecting. This RP must be completed before the results of breeding will be dropped.
|| When the initial form is posted, Suhuba will either approve the form or contact the parents further. Once approval is given the owners are ready to begin the last required RP.
|| This is an incredibly rare combination. The mother tree must be thoroughly convinced that the Earthling is not only worthy of combining his/herself with an Aishan, but that this pairing will benefit Tendaji in some way.
|| Please note that while Elzira can produce hybrids, it is likely that the sisters there will not take kindly to an earthling outsider approaching their tree. They wont kill them, but they wont welcome it with open arms either. We expect this to be reflected in the breeding application RP(s).
|| Two babies will be produced (unless otherwise requested).
|| Children born will have a trait mix directly from their parents.
|| Bred younglings will take after their parents. This means that babies will have half of one parent's and half of the other parent's race. If one is a hybrid, it will mean that the baby will look more like the full race parent since that would be 50% one race and only a quarter (or whatever the case is) the other.
|| Owners will submit the names and sex of their infants after they are dropped.
|| Breedings involving more than twins are not guaranteed. Owners requesting triplets may roll 1d20 and if they roll a 1 or 20 they have successfully bred triplets.
