Her morning could have gone a little better. Akeldama had told her mother her plans to move in with her long time girlfriend and Ciriet hadn't reacted as nicely as she thought the woman would. There had been an argument. Some threats. And in the end Akel had just packed what was essential and most importantly hers then walked out of the house.
So now she was standing outside of the little home Pruu had with a bag over her shoulder, her spear slid into a slot for transport, a large pack in her hand and Yava at her heels. The large insect clicked his pincers as it looked around but otherwise didn't seem to do much without a command.
Akel took a deep breath and let it out in a huff that made her cheek puff out. "Well, that could have gone better." Some things had been left behind since she didn't have a place to store them and because they were deemed non-essential. Her green eyes dropped to the familiar at her feet and she gave him a half smile. "Come on boy.. lets go see Pruu." She gave a click of her tongue and then stepped forward with the intent to locate her girlfriend.

Pruu had made sure the house was ready for its newest addition from the day the proposition had been accepted. Alkeldama would be moving in... She wasn't sure how much the other would have to add, but it was better to be ready for anything. Not that Pruu had much outside of the basics herself. A few things for comfort, but she was off training in some way more often than not. With her guest list fairly limited, home comforts were not at the forefront of her mind. She was thinking about it now, though. Walking back home from her usual morning session to train, she wondered if it was time to expand her belongings. There would be two bodies to consider now, after all. Speaking of-! Approaching the house, she cocked her head at the sight of Akel carrying a large pack. "Akeldama," she called, moving forward quicker to meet at the door of the little home. "Did I forget something about today?"

She didn't need to go far apparently. When she heard her name being called by a very familiar voice she paused mid-step and turned to look at Pruu. Akel smiled and shook her head slightly. "No, you didn't forget anything." Well this was a bit awkward. She looked at her packs and then down at Yava before looking back at Pruu. "I told my mother I was moving in with you and it resulted in an argument. So I just packed what I could and.." Her one free hand waved at herself and familiar. "This is what you get." Likely would have been better if it had been a bit more planned out. "Surprise?"

She couldn't help a little relief at the confirmation. Forgetting plans was not a good look! Her eyes narrowed slightly at mention of the argument though. "I am sorry this has caused you turmoil," she said, reaching out to rest a hand on Akel's shoulder. Still.. she pulled up an encouraging smile. "Yet if this is what I get, I cannot complain. Come." She pushed the door open and held it for Akeldama to head on inside. "Are you hungry? I can make us something to eat if you wish."

Akel gave a wry smile at Pruu. "Don't be. Ciriet was mostly upset that I wasn't focusing on training. She thought this would distract me." While her girlfriend could be a distraction, and a damned good one at that, she didn't see Pruu letting her become a lazy bum. If anything the two would spend more time training together. "Oh, careful what you wish for, sweetie." Akeldama chuckled and looked at the door as it was held open for her. A small shake of her head happened before she clicked her tongue and motioned Yava inside. The insect skittered in and she followed it. "No, I did manage to eat breakfast before my mother flipped out." Once inside far enough that she wasn't blocking the door she turned to look at her girlfriend. " So which corner of the house are you shoving me in?" It was a joke and she grinned after she said it but she hoped Pruu wasn't really going to put her in a corner.

Training? Pruu couldn't help cocking a brow with surprise. "It seems I need to go reintroduce myself to her," she said with a snort. To think that training would slow down from living together! "Mothers," she huffed to herself, shaking her head slightly. Her own had been less than enthusiastic about her moving to her own place as well, to her surprise. Of course, watching Akel walk inside, she couldn't help a knowing smirk. Distraction, indeed... "You know I am always careful," she teased back, following her in. "You may have your pick of any corner, if you would be more comfortable in one," she replied, glancing over playfully, "Or, if you're good, you may place your things wherever you wish. The bedroom is through that door; unless you would prefer the floor out here, of course. I might leave you out here anyway if Yava insists on sleeping next to you." It was so easy to not worry about formalities with Akel. Strange and comfortable at the same time. So this was what a real relationship felt like...

"Always careful... riiiight." Akel made a show of rolling her eyes. "That's why I can usually trip you in a spar." A jest to the fact that she had a longer range weapon than her girlfriend. Jabs done she looked around then to the door that lead to the bedroom. She took one step in that direction when she heard Pruu mention the floor if Yava slept next to her. Akeldama stopped and gave a wide smirking grin as she dropped her pack on the floor where she stood. "Oh, well.. the floor looks mighty comfortable. Don't suppose we can double up on a rug? Make it a little softer?" She was likely going to get herself in trouble before she was even settled in.

Snorting sharply, Pruu gave Akel a dismissive wave. "Well, I need to let you feel good about yourself every so often with that stick you use~" Her eyes flicked over challengingly. "Perhaps we should test out another spar today." Once she got Akel settled in, of course! An encounter with a testy mother would probably require a release of tension anyway. Brow cocking, she turned a dubious eye toward Yava. "I did not expect my competition to come in the form of a creature I could easily turn into a soup," she threatened toward the bug. Not that she would ever hurt Akel's pet thing, but if it took her attentions, there would be war!

"Uh huh. My stick can beat your butt any day." Akel was rather proud of her spear. And she knew how to use it too. As long as she could keep her opponent at a distance she was likely to win. If they got closer it was a little more difficult but not impossible. When Pruu seemed to mention turning Yava into soup Akel had to look down at the familiar. A very visible cringe formed. "I can tell you now, he will not taste good." She knew what Yava ate and didn't think it made him at all appealing. Giving her attention back to her girlfriend she offered a smile. "I was only joking though. Yava prefers to sleep outside in a tree. Only time he's slept in bed with me was when I was sick." Then her insect had taken on guard duty. Which had been rather hilarious since he got aggressive toward Ciriet.

Pruu's brow rose along with a challenging grin. "You mean, any day that my blades don't get you first~" Akel's confidence was one of her best features, and Pruu knew she had chosen well when she had first asked to court the other Elarian. That felt like so long ago, and much had changed. Looking at Yava again, she smirked and shook her head. "I suppose this means you may live, for now." Giving Yava a dismissive wave, she turned to look at Akel's belongings. "I do need something to eat, so you may set your things wherever you wish. Let me know if more space is needed anywhere, and we can sort it out." She watch Akel patiently, waiting to see if assistance was needed.

"You mean your little toothpicks?" Akel liked picking on Pruu for her swords. She had no doubt in her girlfriend's ability to wield them or the skill she had but it was nice to poke fun every once in a while. Yava chittered at Pruu then moved along the floor some feet away to investigate. Akeldama looked at the beast for a second then returned her gaze back to her mate. A simple nod and she moved to set her things down. First she took her spear out of the place it was being carried and found a spot by the door to keep it. There it would be fairly out of the way. From there it was mostly clothing and blankets that needed to find a home. Those took time only because she took them out of the pack, inspected them, then folded them for safe keeping in their new home. The last thing she unpacked was her journal, ink, and quill. Those she found spot for on a shelf. In all it took maybe thirty minutes for Akel to move in.

'Toothpicks?' Oh, forget anything about Yava. Those were fighting words! "Just you wait until later," she huffed with amusement as she headed to make her food. A quick wrap was rolled together with dried meat, spiced sauce, and fresh leaves. Looking at the lone wrap, she couldn't help her mind wandering a little. As Akel settled in, they would probably start eating together. Meals for two... And then further down the road... maybe meals for three? Or four? Heat flashed over her cheeks. That might be something important to discuss... Tossing the last bite into her mouth, she licked her fingers and checked over the progress her partner had made. "Looks like there is just enough space for us," she stated with a smile, her gaze slipping over to meet Akeldama's. "Would it be too soon to start thinking about when we might need a bigger place? Not right away, of course. It just might be wise to give it a little consideration."

She gave a hum at Pruu's comment but said nothing, figuring enough poking had been done over her girlfriend's weapons. Once everything was squared away and she heard the question about more space she looked around and gave a bit of a smile. "Funny you should mention that.." Akel brought her hands in front of her and seemed to wipe sweaty palms on her skirt. "I uh.. I was thinking about kids recently.." Prompted in part by a certain earthling child. "I wanted to bring it up to you but wasn't sure how.." It made things just a little easier if Pruu was the one to steer the conversation that way. "I had the... luck.. to run into a very small child the other day." Akeldama lowered her gaze hoping that Pruu wouldn't ask any serious questions about the kid. "It made me sorta want some of my own. Or uh.. our own, if that is something you wouldn't mind.." It was a thought. Certainly not right this second. Akel had only just moved in. Maybe after a while of living together they could consider it?

"You have?" Pruu asked curiously, a hint of hope in the background. If Akel had been thinking about it.. She cocked her head at the mention of the small child, but was too interested in the more personal side of the conversation. Expression going soft, she walked up and raised her hand to cup Akeldama's cheek. "You can always talk to me about anything.. I have always wanted daughters," she admitted with a smile. "I believe you will be a wonderful mother, once we are ready to start down that path." Her gaze gave the home a quick look before her smile grew a little more. "We will certainly need to bigger place when that happens."

Her hand came up to cover Pruu's and she smiled. "I would welcome a house full of daughters." She said with a soft nod. Turning slightly she pressed a kiss to her girlfriend's palm. Her gaze followed Pruu's as it looked around the house and she gave a chuckle. "More space would definitely be needed before all that though." As a kid she didn't take up much space but she also had a controlling mother that made sure she had the littlest amount of stuff. If it wasn't a weapon then it wasn't needed. Akel wanted to be different than Ciriet when it came to raising her daughters. "How many were you thinking?" She was curious to know if Pruu had a number in mind or if 'as many as possible' applied.
