Basic Traits Vain - This girl is very proud of her looks despite being different from her adopted Alk mother and often views her appearance as being far more attractive than any Alkidike; if only because she's biased. Something about that red hair. She also feels that she and her fellow sisters are the better children of the earth. After all, they are the future.
Protective - She loves her fellow Elarians and will protect them from anything, including any Alkidike that poses a threat. She also protects Elzira, her mother tree, believing that none of the yellow skinned women who are from the main land and are weak in their thoughts should ask her for anything
Snobby - Due to the fact that she was one of the early Elarian's to be brought into the world, within the first generation, she feels more than entitled. Even if she came after the Alks, after the earthlings, she believes that the earth was working toward the perfect race and hers is it. She is also not entirely fond of the Matron despite sharing the extremist views.
In Depth Akeldama likes to preen. Since she has been raised in an environment that told her she was the future and that she is precious, as well as beautiful, she often times feels as though she is superior to many other races. With constant praise Akel views herself and her sister Elarian’s as the best race on earth. It is what all of Tendaji has been working toward.
Her protective nature is almost always seen when she is around her sisters. She makes sure they have what they need and are well cherished. If she sees one being scolded too much she intervenes with attitude. Even though she knows a soft nature won’t create a tough fighter she always seems to bristle a little when excessive action is used. I.E. intense training and scolding to push the sisters harder. Akel prefers encouragement and praise to be used on the Elarians. Another time her protectiveness is seen is when it comes to all things Elzira. She worships the New Mother and wants only the best for her.
Due to her extremist upbringing she does have a small anger issue. Akel tends to get upset over small things pretty quickly. If she thinks or feels that anyone is looking down on her then she puffs up her chest and brings the attitude in full force. She very much dislikes the idea that she and her sisters would be viewed as weak. As a physical outlet for her anger she likes to train with her spear, using various plants and animals as targets. Her favorite, though, is a large boulder that she has put several deep scars into.
Her relationships with the yellow skinned ones is difficult to nail down as it varies from one to the other. For instance, Akel often has conflicting opinions of the current Matron of the Alkidikes. While she does share in some of the views and respects the Matron for what she is, she will sometimes question the reasoning as to why the matron takes such actions, like refusing to take them back their rightful home. Akel thinks that the Matron is in need of stronger minded advisors, namely Akel's Alk mother. Other Alkidike may be alright with her so long as they don’t show weakness or flaws of their own and revere Elzira with the utmost respect. Then there are some who are more accepting of tainted blood, like the mainlanders, and mixed relations so long as they turn to their faith and it is these cousins she has a problem with. It is these yellow skinned beings that she sees as low as earthlings and wants nothing to do with them.
These views were brought to her attention by her Alk mother and so heard through the grapevine.
When it comes to Elzira, her mother tree, she is the best daughter. Akel makes sure the tree is well tended to by constantly visiting the roots when she isn't training. She even makes it her mission to look in on any new blooms that her Mother produces. Though this only includes asking the mystics how they are doing. Because she takes such a personal interest in Elzira and her well being she tends to dislike normal Alkidikes near her. Her New Mother is still not strong enough to support mass amounts of blooms and she doesn't want the Alks to overwhelm her with their pleas for children. While Akeldama would love to see more of her own sisters about, she is unsure if she wants them to go to Alkidike hands if they are weak minded.

Original/Past As one of the earliest Elarian babies to be bloomed from the new mother tree Akel was taken in by one of her yellow skinned cousins, the Alkidike, to be raised. The woman that she ended up living with had some of the more extreme views in the group of Alks that were chased off the mainland. This influenced Akeldama in her early childhood.
Not only did it give her some what of a superiority complex but it also made her want to take back what had been taken. Often times she'd play pretend that she was an avenging Elarian and taking things over.
The older Alkidike that took her in would often regale stories to her of Aisha, the original mother tree, and of a land where only those from her bosom were allowed to survive. One of Akel's favorite stories that was often told to her was the war against the Obans. Her adoptive mother had been a part of the bloodshed, cutting down the dirty earthlings where she could.
She was allowed to be the typical little girl as well. Akel played and ran around under the watchful eye of her "mother." Though, like the others, she wasn't allowed to leave the small village that had been formed around Elzira. She did however make a best friend out of one of the other Elarian children; Tos.
Growing up the two were practically inseparable. Though the two shared a love hate relationship that often times resulted in them being competitive with one another they never let someone or something else hurt the other. Akel always seemed to be the preening one of the two, worried about her hair or dirt being on her, while Tos was more of the ruffian. The two couldn't be more different and yet they made the best of friends.
Akel also came to be rather fond of the original three of her race. Her Alk mother told her that those three had been a complete surprise to the rest of them and many had vied for the chance to be their mothers. Because they were quite literally the first blooms to bud on Elzira, Akeldama looks up to them.
