It had been several months since Tyiva had returned to Oba and joined up with Karo. Despite her division from her homeland and family the Alkidike was happy. She had confessed her feelings to Karo and been accepted in return. Karo had resolved matters within her family and had shown Tyiva this estate towards Jatine and south of Sulburi. It was far enough away from the desert to have some greenery, signs that they were close to Jatine, but they were close enough to Sulburi to be there within a day of travel. The estate was larger than what would be found in the city and had grounds behind the stone building which was decorated with the smaller bristly plants and trees of Oba. However, Tyiva was most delighted to see that directly behind the estate was a small area carved out of the natural rock behind the house that was full of water. She absolutely adored the smaller pool with deep green and fuschia trees and plants growing alongside it, the waters feeding directly from a nearby oasis.
She was currently relaxing alongside the pool, her long legs stretched out into the waters as she enjoyed the late afternoon sunlight on her skin. With the transition to Oba had come the change of clothing, finer silks and loose skirts in place of her more tribal wear from Jahaur. Jahaur. The thought made Tyiva purse her lips as she studied the wider area. While the last few months had been peaceful and even more delightful whenever she could spend time with Karo the Alkidike was feeling slightly lonely? Was that a good word? A faint flush decorated her cheeks as she tried to imagine what it would be like if they had smaller feet running around the stone paths behind their desert estate. It was secluded enough that no one could really bother them if a family were to perhaps grow up here….
Maybe just maybe she would bring up the suggestion to Karo later. It had been long enough and Tyiva felt more confident that she could return to Chibale with her lover. Even if her own blood family did not wish to see her earthling love it did not mean that others would not welcome them in their place.

“Send these right away please.” Karo handed the papers to one of their servants who took them and headed out to deliver them to her older brother in Sulburi. Having gotten involved in politics, Karo worked a lot more from home and didn’t have to be in the city all the time. She’d been so happy when she’d found this little place outside. It had needed a bit of work, but Karo had hired people and expanded it. She’d wanted more water and more flora around the home. A home she shared with Tyiva.
The thought of Tyiva made her feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, they’d finally reunited after so many years apart and Karo had found that her feelings had not left her. She was in love with Tyiva and had asked her to come live with her. She had been over the world when the Alkidike had said yes and she’d been floating on cloud nine since then. Speaking of which, Karo headed upstairs to get changed. Tyiva was poolside and a short break was in order.
Getting changed quickly, Karo headed out to join Tyiva. She walked over and gave Tyiva a kiss on the forehead, lingering a little bit with a smile on her lips.
“Hey,” she said with a smirk before settling next to the pool and dipping her legs into the cool water. Was there anything better than this moment?

Tyiva’s antenna flicked upwards whenever she heard Karo approaching. Even though it had weeks since she had reunited with the Oban the Alkidike could not help but to feel her heart flutter whenever her love was near. She could not help the smile that spread across her lips whenever Karo kissed her forehead, “Hello.” Tyiva replied quietly as she stretched out a foot to playfully run her toes along Karo’s feet whenever she placed her legs into the water, “I see that you felt up to taking a break from work?”
As she spoke she reached a hand towards Karo so that she could lace their fingers together, “It’s a pretty day so I’m thankful that you can enjoy it. Can you take a long enough break for perhaps a swim?” Tyiva glanced over towards Karo thoughtfully. She wanted to spend time with the Oban but did not want to hinder her work. It was still an adjustment for Tyiva. She was one who had always been busy with hunting or traveling so relaxing like this was strange….not unwelcome just something that she had to adjust to.

“I think I can be done for the day,” Karothdra said with a smile. She didn’t have to get ahead in her work all the time, so she’d spend the rest of her day with Tyiva. She gave the Alk’s hand a gentle squeeze.
“I am all for a swim!” And with that she pushed off the ledge and into the cool water, staying there until Tyiva would get in. It was oddly reminiscent of when they had met so long ago. So many things had happened since then, Karo couldn’t believe where they were right now years later. If her father had not died, she may never have met Tyiva, at least her father’s death had not been totally in vain. Something good had come out of it and now that Karo had fixed it, the family could begin its journey to heal.
Karo pushed herself back up to the surface. “There’s nothing quite like the cool water during a hot day.” The Oban stretched. “I have so much time whatever shall we do.” She smirked.

Tyiva couldn't help but to return the squeeze, "Let's do our best to enjoy this beautiful day then." She replied before Karo went into the water. A soft laugh left her lips as she watched the splash. So quick! Even Tyiva usually tried to take some time to adjust to the change in temperature from the hot desert air to the cool waters. She could only shake her head at her lover with amusement, "Well since you have so much time I suppose it would be a shame to not play around in the waters for a bit. It is rather hot today after all."
Taking off her outer silks, Tyiva slipped into the pool. Her movements were graceful and did not cause much more than a few ripples as she slowly swam through the water towards Karo, "My legs were feeling restless so it's good to stretch them out a bit." She commented with a smile as she approached and placed a kiss against Karo's cheek, her lips slowly trailing down to touch the corner of the Oban's lips lightly, "Do earthlings believe in games of tag?" She questioned as she suddenly pulled back and started to swim away teasingly.

“Yes, it’s nice to be able to cool off, this was a great purchase.” Karothdra was highly pleased. She had wanted to find a place that would be suitable for both of them. It had to be away from prying eyes and in a place which would allow flora to grow. Since they were so close to Jatine, getting water here had been relatively easy. It had all come together with a few renovations and now it was paradise for both of them. Karo couldn’t have asked for a better home or better partner.
“I’ll try to workout with you a bit,” Karo had work, but there was not much for Tyiva. She didn't wanter her to get bored. Perhaps she could propose some entertainment or new hobby to her, something to fill her time with. The thought eclipsed when Tyiva got closer, and the Oban took the opportunity to steal a kiss from her. She grinned back as Tyiva swam away from her, her brow perked at the mention of the game.
“Oh we play alright,” The Oban swam closer, outstretching her hand to see if she could get a hold of Tyiva’s foot to pull her back towards her. “Better swim quickly.” She said teasingly and then she went after her.

Tyiva agreed completely. The estate was like their own personal paradise and it helped to ease the longing for the greenery of home. Here she could have an area to swim with plants and trees to cast shade around the courtyard. She loved it and had been extremely thankful to Karo for the hard work and time that she put into preparing this home for them. It was a perfect place to start anew and to have a family in. The thought along with the stolen kiss made her cheeks darken slightly before she swam quickly around towards the other edge of the pool, "I can swim quickly so I hope that you can be quicker." She teased back with a laugh before diving beneath the waters.
When she swam under the waters the Alkidike could not help but to appreciate the beautiful calm of the world below the surface. It was so peaceful and lovely here, but it was over soon enough whenever her hand connected with the stone wall. "I suppose if you could catch me then I could give you a reward and also perhaps tell you something that has been on my mind." She commented with a grin towards Karo as she emerged on the opposite side of the pool.

“Ah you challenge me?” Karothdra’s brow perked as she smiled, it didn’t take her long to dive in after the Alkidike and swim as fast as she could after her. She only briefly went up for air and tried to snatch a hand or foot that got too close to her. Alas, Tyiva was indeed faster than her, the Oban had never been a good swimmer. Still, she was not one to give up so easily and she would chase her love far and wide if she had to. Tyiva would not be able to get rid of Karo so easily.
Upon going up for air, Karo had an idea. “We should have some of my family over. I’d like to see my nieces and nephews a bit more if you don’t mind.” She loved the solitude with Tyiva, but sometimes she needed a bit more life in the home. She wasn’t lonely per say, or bored, but just missed a bit more action since she’d been raised with a lot of siblings.

"Of course. That is unless I decide to catch you first." Quipped back Tyiva playfully before she twisted through the cooler waters. It was nice and refreshing to be able to spend time with her love while also stretching out her muscles. She would have to learn more about gardening, her few attempts scattered around the courtyard, and she was curious about other hobbies. She still trained with her swords but it was strange to not go on a hunt here and there. What would she hunt out here? Surely there were creatures in the desert but they did not need anything from them. Tyiva was not one to spill blood without reason after all so she settled on trying to learn new things. Slowly but surely she was adjusting but like Karo she was missing a bit more action which was why the idea of children had slowly started to slip into her thoughts.
Slipping through the waters so that she could wrap her arms around Karo's waist from behind, Tyiva smiled. "I would be fine with that." She answered honestly as she moved her face closer to Karo, her cheek brushing affectionately against the Oban's jaw as she floated behind her. Biting her lip she hesitated before finally offering, "Honestly I would be fine with more than just your nieces and nephews running about the estate in the future..." She allowed her words to fade as she waited to see if Karo could pick up on the subtle hint of children.

Thankfully the water allowed them to be weightless, Karo leaned back onto Tyiva and wrapped her own arms around her partners. She was taken a bit by surprise when it finally dawned on her that Tyiva was suggesting children. The Oban had a hard time wrapping her head around such a thought. It wasn’t unwelcomed, children would be cute to have around. She certainly wanted to raise some strong warrior children.
“I’m sure we could visit some orphanages to adopt a child,” she said as she mulled over the idea. “I don’t hate the idea of having children, I think it would be nice actually.” Karo was kind of excited about the idea of having children. She loved her nieces and nephews so why couldn't she enjoy her own kids too? She was completely oblivious to the fact that perhaps there was another way for having children while she was daydreaming about visiting some orphanages in her mind. “Teaching a little one would be nice,” also a great distraction from work but she was certain they would both make excellent parents.

"An orphanage?" Tyiva pulled back a bit in confusion, her head tilting as she studied Karo thoughtfully, "I believe it would be nice as well but while I would not mind adopting a child I wondered if.....you would want one that was a mixture of both of us." Tyiva had been thinking over things carefully, she had been raised near Chibale and had seen Alkidike with Earthling partners receive blessings from Aisha before. Why would she not be allowed the same chance at such a blessing?
Did Karo not realize?
Ah. Tyiva's lips curved into a small smile. While she had many things to ask about the earthling races, she tended to forget that it was the same for Karo. It appeared that even the Oban had more to learn about the Alkidikes, "You know that we do not come into existence the same way as earthling children We are bloomed from our mother tree and not from a body like your kind...." She began sheepishly, "I have seen Sisters with Earthling lovers ask Aisha for blessings and she has indeed bloomed lotus flowers for many before. If you would not be offended I would love to venture into Jahaur and possibly ask for the same blessing for the two of us."

“Well of course I would love for that, but well…” How exactly did she explain they weren’t exactly made the same way? That Earthlings didn’t bloom from trees. Had she ever seen any Alkidike hybrids? Karothdra couldn’t really remember, so she had no idea if that was possible. Did the tree allow hybrids? If it did, would she have to prove herself? She was certain she was not allowed on Chibale though…
“Of course I would not be offended!” Karo said loudly with the largest smile on her face. “I would love nothing less than to have children than resemble half of you and half of me.” And then Karo grew serious as she began to plan. “I’m going to need to advance some work, also do I need to come with you? How long does this process take? We need to put a nursery together, maybe change my office to another room so the child can be closer to us. Can we have more than one? Are we allowed to?” In her excitement Karo drew Tyiva into a hug.
“We have so much to plan! You’ve made me so happy; I don’t know how to express the words. But if this is happening, we need to do it right now.” She’d already released Tyiva and was headed out of the pool. “We need to start packing!”

Tyiva smiled. She loved the way that Karo got so excited, "Yes, yes." She managed in between the flurry of ideas, "We should go to Chibale together. Usually earthlings can't visit Aisha but you will be with me." Her antenna flicked happily as she squeezed Karo back, "We will see what happens." She couldn't help laughing quietly under her breath as she followed Karo from the pool, "We can take a few days to pack and prepare for the journey. I would say that we should expect to stay around Chibale for at least a week if not longer. It all depends on how quickly Aisha reacts to our request. If it takes us longer to prepare then so be it. I doubt Aisha will be moving any time soon."
She just prayed that Aisha would allow them to bloom children to represent their love. Tyiva could not help but to feel excited herself. What would two children with a mix of Karo and her own features be like?

“Days to pack!” Karo exclaimed as she moved through the house towards their bedroom. “I’ll have someone pack us supplies, we could leave today.” Karo didn’t want to wait any longer, she headed right to their closet and took a look around. “I’ll leave a notes for the servants to send our messages that I will be gone for a while, work can wait at this point!” She was already grabbing her items and throwing them on the bed.
“Gerim!” She called loudly, she needed him to start packing supplies for them. “Do we need to pack for the baby? Is it a baby or a child born?” Oh boy, they were not ready! How were they supposed to welcome a little one? “Gerim!” She called again.

Tyiva's dark gaze glittered with delight at Karo's excitement. She truly was eager for them to have children of their own. It was a touching thought that warmed Tyiva's heart. She had never regretted her decision to leave Jahaur so that she could live with this beautiful woman and it was hard to not love her in this moment. "Karo." Tyiva whispered her name as she slowly placed a hand on the Oban's arms, "I am excited as well but we should prepare. A couple of days before we leave should give us time to figure out both your work and preparing a room for the babies."
She rubbed Karo's arm lovingly, "The babies will be bloomed from Aisha as flowers. We will receive them as blossoms and they will bloom into babies." She offered with a small smile, "Even if we rush now we do not know how long it would take for Aisha to grant our wish. We have to visit Chibale and see how we are received first." But she was confident that her Sisters would allow her passage. She was a warrior who had fought hard for her kind and was respected by many. It was just a matter of Aisha deciding to grant their request for babies and how quickly it would take for the tree to bloom.
