After sifting through the box, Zero was pleased to find a number of useful items. It seems Machina and Andreas amassed quite the collection for him in the time since his last visit before the party. From Mega Stones to TMs, there was more than enough here for him to work with. Opening up his Pokedex, he looked through the various moves his pokemon could learn, as well as check what some of his items were specifically. Once he knew what everything he was, he brought out the pokemon he needed to give these items to. First, he took away Agidyne's Charcoal and Ashen's Choice Band, and gave them Mega Stones in their place.
Within seconds, the two fire-types were fully enveloped in the pale shells that accompanied their transformation, and burst from them in their new forms. Agi's flames poured from his wrists, and Ashen's tail-flame burned a deeper blue, both invigorated after their transformations. Next up were Sei, Nova, and Wisp, all of whom he needed to teach new moves. The fighting-type and the psychic-type both received TM moves, while Wisp was given a heart scale to learn his new attack. Once he was done, Zero looked over his team, then to his moves. We're ready, he thought, and with a smile, returned all his pokemon, and started heading towards the entrance to town.

As Zero reached the end of town, he looked back for a moment. He wondered if Isis had already made it to Azalea, and if she did, if she'd already gone back in time. At this point there was no way of telling, and even if she succeeded, he couldn't know if anything would have really changed in this timeline. He shook his head, and turned back to the path ahead. There was nothing he could do about it now, all he could do is move ahead. [Exit to Fortree City]

[Character Enter] Falling off multiple times, Zero practiced flying on Ashen's back from Fortree to Lilycove. The distance wasn't that far, and given how many times Zero was thrown off on accident, it probably would have been faster to just walk back. Probably wouldn't have left him more worse for wear than when he took off either, though fortunately he managed to get away from all the falls with a few bruises and cuts since they were keeping relatively low to the ground. Regardless, once they finally reached Lilycove, the Charizard let his trainer off at his home.
His hair and clothes now a mess, and a little bit of blood slowly inched down to his jaw from a cut on his cheek, but he still patted Ashen on the back for his work. "Good work, Ashen," he reassured, "that was a good start."Even if it could have been better by not, you know, throwing me off so much, he thought, chuckling a bit. However, it was still bothering him about Isis, and he looked back down at his X-Transceiver. He stared at it in silence for a moment, but eventually he brought it up once more, clicking on Isis' name in the contact list to call.

Zero frowned as Isis continued to ignore him. He looked to Ashen, unsure of what to do. If he should fly there now, if he should leave her be, or do something else. The dragon just looked at him quizzically, wondering if he would get to fly some more soon. Even if his trainer had fallen off a lot, it was still quite fun. Sighing, Zero decided to give up on calling Isis for now, since she clearly didn't wanna talk. But, until she did, he decided to just send her a text for now. "Beat Winona, meet me in Lilycove when you're done. And if you haven't gone back already... Good luck."
Clicking the send button, he looked up from his X-Transceiver and returned Ashen to his pokeball. Then he opened the door to his house. "Dad, you home?" He called out, to no response. He must be out again, he thought, and moved further into his home.
After washing up a bit, now his X-Transceiver began to buzz, though when he checked it, it wasn't Isis. Instead, it was Andreas. The screen went black for half a second, before flashing to the image of the familiar brunette. "Hey Z," she started. "Heard you and your girlfriend stopped by while I was out today."
"She's not my girlfriend, Andreas," Zero replied, trying to hide his faint blush with his free hand.
"Heh, yeah yeah, whatever you say. But anyway, it is good to see hear from you again. Machina told me about what happened, sounds like some crazy s**t."
"...You have no idea how lightly that's putting it."
"Jeez. Well, next time to stop by remember to at least say hi first. Where is she anyway? Isis I mean."
Zero paused for a second. "...Clearing her head. I just had to come back to Hoenn to fight Winona so we split up for now."
"Ooh, really?" A grin suddenly spread across Andreas' face, accompanied by the unsettling glint in her eye that made Zero regret his choice of words. "You two split up, eh? Sure you two just needed some space, Z? If you're not careful you might just lose her to someone else."
His blush intensified for a second, but the comment mostly just annoyed Zero. "It's not like that, Andreas. She's not even-"
"Tell you what, since I'm such a good friend, I'll help you out a bit. Head over to the Pokemon Center real quick and call me back. I think I got something that'll help." Before he could respond, Andreas ended the call, leaving Zero to his thoughts.
However, since he'd rather not think on her words that much, he did as she asked and headed over to the Pokemon Center, calling her back on one of the big phone booths. "Okay, so what're you sending me?"
"Something to help you along," she responded cryptically. The machine hummed loudly as something was transferred into it's tray. Zero slid it open, and picked up the red book inside. "I know you know some Italian, but I want you to learn as much of it as you can. I wrote down some phrases on the front to get you started with Isis, at least until you know a little bit more. No need to thank me~"
With that, Andreas ended the call, leaving Zero with the new book. He wasn't quite sure how learning Italian was supposed to help him, but he guessed it couldn't hurt. He decided to return home to read it, and once he returned home, he lied on the couch, reading the book and waiting for Isis to hopefully respond.

For the next few hours Zero flipped through the pages, memorizing the translations and whatever notes the book or Andreas made. Although, the more he read it, the more his fatigue began to catch up with him. His head bobbed up and down as he drew closer and closer to passing out, and eventually he just got up. Can't sleep... Can't sleep... He repeated to himself, and moved to the bathroom for a moment to splash himself with some cold water. It didn't wake him up completely, but it helped.
Putting the red book back into his bag, he left the house once more, locking the door behind him. He decided he should probably do something more productive to pass the time. First, he ran over to the small fishing shop he'd visited earlier, and picked up a Super Rod, since he'd already gotten the other two types. Next, he looked around town for someone to fight, and once he did find someone he made short work. And though he hesitated for second, he decided to let Ashen out and fly to Mt. Pyre to continue training. It'd probably take a while before Isis got back anyway, and she'd probably give him a heads up before she did anyway. [Exit to Mt. Pyre]

[Character Enter] After a surprisingly smooth flight, Zero finally returned to Lilycove. Though, even if he hadn't fallen off, he was hanging on for dear life. All things considered, he was pretty lucky he hadn't broken anything yet, but regardless, he still landed safely, and returned his pokemon in front of the pokemon center. He quickly ran in for a second, giving his pokemon to the nurse, just in case.
While he waited for the nurse to return his pokemon though, he felt his X-Transceiver buzz. His arm shot up almost instinctively, though he was rather disappointed to see it wasn't Isis. But it was someone they'd met at the ball, so he was still intrigued none the less. Tapping the screen, the message began to play. "Guys, are you okay? I-I just woke up a little while ago. Where are you?"
So the others made it out, too, he thought. After all that's happened in the past day or so, it was good to hear familiar voices alive. "Marx, it's Zero," He said into his wrist-watchish device. "Me and Isis made it out... relatively okay. I'm in Lilycove right now but Isis is..." He paused for a moment. "...Mourning, at the moment.

Fearow swept down, arching his wings to catch the air and slow his descent, his claws digging into the Earth as he landed. He took a few, solid steps, then folded his wings in, turning his head to watch Ajicka dismount with a sharp gaze. She was used to his analytical stare, despite how rarely she had him out. Honestly, she should probably train him more, but he seemed oddly... content with the more lackadaisical life style. Ready to fight if he was challenged, but satisfied exercising his wings to transport, and when she let him out of his pokeball to stretch, and eat.
She gave him a pat and returned him, her mind elsewhere, still frantically scrambling over her experience in Rock Tunnel. Now that she had escaped, it almost felt... unreal. Had she imagined it? Her eyes closed and she turned her head as the sight of those piercing eyes flashed into her mind again. No... she couldn't have. It had been far too real. But...
She shook her head, clearing her mind. It didn't matter. That had been back in Kanto. She had rocketed out of there and flew around until she decided to visit her home region for a bit. She wasn't sure she would necessarily go and see her family, but... she could at least use the nostalgic trip home, for a little while, to see the familiar pokemon and regions. She knew the area pretty well when she left, after all...
Remembering that she still had to heal her pokemon, she headed for the pokecenter, but stopped as she entered, noticing a familiar face. She narrowed her eyes on the young, white-haired male, hazy memories idly drifting to the surface. She... she'd seen him at the ball. She was pretty sure he'd done something good, because she didn't feel a sensation of hate and resentment or anything. She lifted her head, walking over to give her pokemon to Nurse Joy, then looking over at him.
"Hey... weren't you at... Where's the girl that was with you?" she asked, deciding not to specifically mention the Halloween Ball, a hand on her hip as she looked at Zero. She was definitely positive there had been a girl with him, one that had even been in her group, back in the.... Ajicka closed her eyes in a blink that lasted just a bit longer than usual, then opened her eyes, appearing perfectly normal, but with a serious expression. She really needed to stop letting her mind... wander...

As the nurse returned his pokemon, another trainer had approached the counter, giving the nurse her team before turning to him. It took a moment for him to remember the girl, but once he did, all of the events that transpired seemed to replay in his mind instantly. He couldn't help but grimace. "...Yeah, I was." The ordeal had cost a hefty toll on everyone, and even if it hadn't been as bad as Isis, even Zero felt it more and more. "If you mean Isis, she's off... coping right now. I don't know about any of the others, but the price paid was a heavy one." Staring at Zero, Ajicka could feel her mind beginning to slip back, drifting towards the darker memories, and the state they had put her in. Blinking a bit, she pulled herself out of it, shifting her attention elsewhere and giving him a more casual glance as he replied. She took her pokeballs from Nurse Joy as they were returned to her, but simply moved over, to the PC, while still giving Zero the majority of her information.
"I see..." she remarked, looking to the PC, and opening up her personal storage system, "I take it you remember everything?" She tried to keep her tone casual-- serious, but casual-- as she could, while looking through her pokemon. She grimaced and ran a hand through her hair-- she really needed to train Pancham, but she just had no plan for the fighting pokemon, as it were, and she sort of wanted to save her for Kalos, or one of the other regions where she focused on sort of a.... a reset. The plan was about the same for Murkrow, though she was starting to realize how unbalanced that team might be.
Sighing, she exchanged Wooper and Mantyke for Smoochum and Deino, trying not to think of when she found the dragon pokemon and instead locking their pokeballs away at her waist as well, and then turning back to face Zero with her arms crossed over her chest.

She pulled a pokeball from her waist, but didn't open it, quirking an eyebrow at Zero when he mentioned this was his hometown. "Huh, really....?" she remarked, lowering her hand a moment, a thoughtful frown on her face, "I'm from Fortree..."
She shook her head, then unleashed Jas, who shook his head a bit, as he almost always did, before immediately leaning over with a low, worried groan, nudging her and looking at her with concern. "Knock it off, Jas," she ordered, shoving his head away, and looking back at Zero, "Sorry, I hope you don't mind. He hasn't been able to stretch his wings much lately." Most of her pokemon had been fairly dormant while she'd been... 'recovering', after all, and she hadn't been able to do much with him since than. Not to mention, he'd been ridiculously clingy. She didn't quite recall what had happened after she left the ball, but she'd been told it hadn't been good. She assumed he was just worried about her, but... it was annoying.
"Go fly around a bit," she instructed. Jas looked at her distraughtly, a bit devastated at her dismissal, but gave a pouting huff and took off. She moved her head away from the gust of wind, then looked back at the other trainer. "So, how many badges do you have? I mean, consecutive ones. I'm from here but I've been getting all of my badges in Kanto so far," she remarked. It was... almost odd, having such a normal, casual conversation.
