The Hoenn region's home for the deceased Pokemon from all over. Here, the Pokemon are laid to rest in a natural setting, buried in hand dug graves within the mountain's naturally lit caves. Be mindful not to disturb the graves or disrespect the spirits. Atop the mountain rests the Spirit Shrine, where the Red and Blue Orbs are enshrined. Some say the Green Orb is hidden here somewhere as well.

[Character Enter] After a short flight that Zero managed to actually hang on for, he landed near the peak of Mt. Pyre. As ominous as the thick fog and numerous graves that surrounded him were, somehow he felt oddly at peace here. Not to mention the chill of being on top of a mountain kept him awake. Taking a deep breath, he finally started to move around, searching for the nearest trainer to fight. And once he did, he wasted no time defeating them, before moving on to find the next trainer.

The next trainer he ran into was pretty easy to defeat. Their team consisted of the entire Aron evolutionary line; one for each stage. This made things simple for Zero, and all he needed was Ashen's Dynamic Punch to defeat them. Between it's sheer power and the confusion it caused, the trainer could barely put up a fight.

The next stop on Zero's battle path were more relatively easy pokemon to deal with. Sei defeated the Bastiodon with minimal damage, spamming Aura Sphere until it fell. Then Nu beat both the opposing trainer's Croagunk and Tropius, though they put up notably more of a fight. But, between the Psychic and Ice Punch respectively, they too went down.

It didn't take long for Zero to find a new challenger, though somehow the fight felt like it took far longer than it should have. The first thus far with a full team, the trainer threw a Gligar, Durant, Ferroseed, Forretress, Deino, and a Pangoro. Nu took care of the first one pretty easily, punching away with a frozen arm. Then Ashen dealt with the next three, burning them with flames drenched in flame. And finally Nova defeated the last two with Moonblasts and a Hyper Beam. More or less, par for course.

Finally, it seemed that Zero's little warpath would have to pause for a bit. The foggy peak seemed devoid of trainers now, so he'd have to move somewhere else for now. After a quick jog, he moved from the outside to the inside of the mountain, the rows and rows of tombstones outlined the path within. In silence, Zero walked between the tombstones almost as absent-mindedly as the ghosts that appeared in the corners of his eyes, Nova following behind after popping out of her pokeball. It didn't seem like he was looking for someone to battle anymore to the Gardevoir, but rather for something else, as he scanned the tombstones as he walked ahead.
Eventually, Zero came to a stop, and he simply stared at one of the stones beside him, and Nova cocked her head curiously at his silence. "...I wonder," She heard him mutter, "did you two ever run into such things?" His words only confused the Gardevoir more, but before she could ask or simply read his mind, Zero had already begun moving again. His companion continued following, but inspected the tombstone her trainer had been looking at first. Though she did not recognize the first name on it, the last name was what caught her attention. "Rai."

One last time, Zero found another trainer to fight. It was another relatively simple fight, Ashen sweeping the first three pokemon, and though she had a little more trouble with the last two, Nova finished the rest. Though there were still probably more trainers to fight inside, Zero finally decided to start heading back to Lilycove. The sleepiness that kept creeping up on him continued to gnaw at him, making him progressively more lightheaded. It'd be bad enough if he fell asleep here, but if Ashen tried to carry him back while he was asleep, that could only mean disaster.
Coming out at the base of the mountain, Zero let the Charizard back out of his pokeball, and the dragon stretched it's wings wide. "Alright boy," he said, climbing onto Ashen's back, "Try not to throw me off this time, okay?" The fire-type only snorted. Zero then turned to Nova, who tugged Nu's ball off his belt. "Shouldn't you get back into your ball?
"Nope," She replied plainly, releasing Nu and throwing the ball back to Zero. "Nu and I could use the fresh air anyway. Plus, who's gonna catch you if you fall of on Ashen there?" Zero simply shrugged, and motioned for the Charizard to head off. Meanwhile, the Metang kept himself turned away from Nova, who climbed onto his back slowly, and kept herself stationary on him with her psychic powers. Once they were set, both groups headed for Lilycove, but on their way, Nova leaned her head down into Nu's line of sight. "No running away into your pokeball this time, mister." [Exit to Lilycove.]

[Character Enter] After a much smoother flight, Zero arrived once more at the foggy peak. He was actually rather surprised at how much easier it was not to fall off Ashen this time, but he was right back to to looking for opponents before long. Before he found the next trainer to fight, he gave Ashen a few things to get him some new moves, and challenged the nearest trainer.
It didn't really take long to take care of his pokemon. Zero's mega-formed pokemon were easily able to one-shot the first of the two pokemon. The added power plus the sheer damage the attacks did normally were more than enough for some overkill. The final pokemon however took a little longer than before. That is, it took about as long as his previous opponents, as opposed to one-shots. Either way, it still fell, and Zero continued down the way like before.

Next up on Zero's list of bulldozing through trainers, was a team to round off Nova's levels. The odds weren't as one-sided as usual, but he of course still had the advantage. Before long he'd taken the Pangoro and the Absol out just like all the others. The only one that gave him moderate trouble was their last pokemon, a Dragonair. It dealt some heavy damage, but Nova still took it out with a Hyper Beam.

Since Nova was good for now, Zero decided to train Ashen next. It took seemingly even less time to deal with their next opponent than the others, the Mega-Formed Charizard just destroying the battlefield. His attacks were almost completely OHKOs, the only exception being the Lairon. But, it hurt itself in it's confusion, rather than attack, and the white-grey dragon brought his fist down on his armored opponent once more.

As Zero grew more and more tired, he happened upon his next opponent. The trainer was about as strong as the previous one, though luck of the draw practically turned all of his attacks into OHKOs. The confused Probopass took out whatever strength it had left trying to attack, the Rhyhorn took a Solarbeam to the face, and the trainer's Leavanny was consumed in a sea of flames. It was another absolute slaughter, and after which, Zero continued along his metaphorical warpath.

Continuing down his path of destruction, Zero quickly found another trainer to utterly destroy. First came the strangely over-leveled Aron. It did not have a good time, as one Dynamic Punch confused it to the point of hurting itself, falling unconscious before it could even attack. Then came a Corsola, which, in all honesty, still failed to do anything in anyway. A single Solarbeam was more than enough and the little water-rock-type fainted. Finally the trainer threw out a Ferroseed, which got one good attack in before being scorched by Ashen's Blast Burn.
