Personality: Lore's manner of speech is a mix between rough teenage boy and cultured person of science, which makes it kinda unique, to say the least. Though she may appear calm and conscientious, once you get to know her you find out that she's... kind of really random, a horrible tease (harmlessly so. xD) and laid-back to the point of being a slob at times. She loves challenges and excitement, but when real danger strikes her HEART OF STEEL gets to shine as she remains calm and calculating in such situations. She's never too busy to be a friend and is very open-minded, though also eccentric(Lore can't even kill a mosquitoooo), and tends to say really morbid, poetic or deep thoughts outta nowhere. That, and puns.

At first she was living in Katarina, but after Soar's arrival to Zatao she moved to her current abode so that a never-before seen alien pokemon wouldn't make its appearance in town. By some miracle she rents expensive equipment and has set up her own lab in the basement. People usually assume that she is a pokémon researcher when she talks science. She is not a pokémon researcher. The world does NOT revolve around poké- ...okay, fine, it does, but this changes nothing to the fact that her field is of the human sort.

The TRAVELER: Hot, humid weather pretty much cause her to collapse into a puddle which slowly evaporates until only a dry husk is left, but due to her passion for going to new places, she is nevertheless well-traveled when it comes to hubs of society all over the world. She is thus familiar with various cultures. Since her arrival to Zatao, Lore has acquired pokémon, which allowed her to begin a whole different kind of journey: that of traversing the wilderness on adventures whenever she decides to take a break from research or has to wait for results to come in.

The TRAINER: Of course, if you're going to live alone and feed pokemon, there has to be another source of income. Lore has discovered a talent for training through her pokémon's enthusiasm for battle and enjoys a variety of competitive activities offered by Zatao, dabbling in anything from battling to coordinating in the hopes of pocketing some money on her travels.

The Abode

Lore's cabin is an Earth-sheltered home [built into the side of a hill]. This keeps it cool in the summer but also sortof camouflages it from passing humans and pokemon; if you know it's there, however, it's easy to find since it lies near a well-used route between Katarina and the Rinaul Mountains. It has a large vegetable garden which is entirely Lore's own addition. Potatobi keeps it alive when she's not around.

It also has a large basement outfitted as a laboratory. As she should have suspected when she got the place, it used to be a little Rocket base, as evidenced by the secret tunnel connected to one of the closets. Donut once tried to explore it but ended up drawing out a huge swarm of crobats, which convinced Lore to keep it sealed. Clearing out that infestation was a real mess for everyone. x'D

It's possible that the tunnel is connected to the network of caves and tunnels which run underneath the mountain range, called "Derrusk's Lair", making it a possible shortcut to central Rinaul.

With no riding pokemon, Lore rides a moped between her place and Katarina. Typically this takes around 25 minutes one-way, so that'd make it something like a 3 hour walk by foot. Sometimes she leaves Potatobi home to housesit [or Soaringedge if they're present] if she has to stay in town a couple days.

She's only about a 15 minute walk to the foot of the mountains, which allows her to go hiking relatively often. ovo

Ability: Levitate: Pokemon is unaffected by ground attacks and Arena Trap.
Egg group: Indeterminate
Pokedex Info: Appears to attack people who get lost in the mountains. Said to be the culprit behind shadows that laugh in the moonlight.

Caught: Howling Forest (Into the Mines RP event, summer of '08 )
Class: Battle

Personality: As expected of a ghost type, Donut's idea of fun is shocks, surprises and 'supernatural' phenomena. Other than his mischief with no regard to property [or pride] damage, he's actually not so bad. He doesn't like seeing people sad; he's NEVER serious, and he will use all the skills at his disposal to not let YOU be so serious either! When it comes down to morals, he's not thoughtful enough to really understand or apply them, but he imitates what people around him adhere to simply because he enjoys humans. Despite his complete lack of remorse, he has plenty of friendship to spare; he bonds with others easily and could accompany random humans on a whim. Except he thinks that Potatobi is an annoying, fun-hating brat and so are all other seriousfighterpants like her. For pokémon, conversation is hard to maintain with Donut as he's kind of ADD. His personality is also very childlike and any criticism about it passes through his one ear and out the other.

Bio: When Donut had attacked the caravans in the Howling Forest with the other ghosts, he half-expected to get caught. And then he discovered how fun it was to travel with a whole bunch of humans to bother, though he regarded his trainer as a mere extra to the whole experience, and she seemed to have her mind elsewhere when he was around anyways. By the time their adventures had evolved him twice, however, they had grown into a stable companionship that would last for a lifetime. Obviously he and Lore, both prank-lovers, enjoy each other's shenanigans; but the trainer's reactions to his tricks are so subdued that Donut simply doesn't feel like he's living up to his rep as horrible fiend, causing him to often seek out other targets much to other's inconvenience and Lore's embarrassment.

Personality: Potatobi is a prideful, highly intelligent and duty-bound pokémon. Her respect can only be earned by being competent at the things that matter to you. Her attitude is rather aggressive and righteous, partially to make up for Lore's laid-back outlook. If she wants to relax she needs to be alone; you'll never see her enjoying a long nap in the sunlight or anything. Often, Potatobi can forget to enjoy the process and not only the result. In any case, despite not being very approachable, Potatobi is not as selfish as one would expect- rather, she tries hard to do what she can to the utmost of her abilities for everyone, especially those that have been left behind by others.

Bio: Potatobi's high intelligence is because she belongs to a long line of shroomish bred for Smart competitions. Like most byproducts of these breedings they would be rehomed or given to other breeders, as only a few select individuals are chosen to compete. Potatobi was not one of these few and having taken a liking to Lore, she was given to the trainer. Through their journeys and victories, Lore helped the shroomish build back her self-esteem from having essentially been an unwanted pokemon; even before the time she evolved into a Breloom, Potatobi had developed both a steadfast loyalty (which manifests itself as her self-assigned duty as Lore's lookout, guard and right-hand pokémon, be damned if she ever recognizes Donut as having any measure of competence at any of this) and a passion for competitive battling. She is determined to climb to the top of the fighting echelon and become truly strong, refining her battle moves every day and giving thought to strategies and techniques. (A true martial artist! XD) Part of Lore's improvement as a trainer is also actually due to Potatobi's prodding if the human slacks off too much. You can tell that they are family to each other.

Personality: Parn is a torrent of personality. She's something special, and she KNOWS it. If anything, she is abnormally good at getting what she wants! While Potatobi's intelligence is a combination of self-awareness, wisdom, sense and discipline, and Soaringedge's an artistic, ponderous profundity, Parn's is more of a sparking, calculating brilliance that strikes like lightning. With this cleverness, she tests and plots and ruses at how to pull all of the right strings. Probably the only pokemon to have read Sun Tzu's The Art of War from page to page a dozen times.

In Parn's many eyes, she is destined for greater things than buddying around with adopted family; she is merely gracing them with her esteemed presence and intelligence until opportunity knocks for her to become legend. Fame and adoration, she wants it all. Despite the affection Lore put into raising her, as a wee Joltik she simply regarded the traveler as her guardian, a convenience; Nowadays, Parn would not hesitate to admit the companionship of her crew. She also wouldn't hesitate to leave, however, should she find a better way of pursuing her dreams than staying with Lore...

Bio: Parn was found trapped in a steel box in Jirachi's memory mansion. It is unknown how she got trapped there, when or why. She was then raised with much care and attention by her human and adoptive pokemon siblings.

Luna lent Lore a pokemon to try battling for the first time, and Prince didn't seem to want to listen to her commands. Lore lost, and also got fireblasted by Nine due to a confusing accident.

At Luna`s stall in Katarina
Luna offered to lend Lore some not-burnt-up clothing, since hers had been reduced to rags by Nine. This is where she met Aimi and bought her Shroomish plushie.

And to Nine`s berry garden we go!
Luna, Aimi and Lore depart on a trip to Nine's berry fields, only to be attacked by a wild Stantler.

To The Mines
Seeing an ad on the web describing a trip to the mines to help dig up some fossils, Lore joined a journey with six wagons of trainers. Suspicious events and pokemon attacks followed them, and Team Rocket attacked as well. It all revealed itself to be a plot to find and deliver Mew.
On this journey, she caught Donut, her first pokemon, and made friends with Effie, Cass, Alastair, Renekai, Kayla and others. :3

[PRP] Contest Hall
A coordinating contest arrived in Katarina and Lore caught wind of it. With a mind to try new things all of the time, she entered (and even had the highest score!) in the coordinating segment of the contest with Era, a rescued swablu belonging to Nyla (a police officer).

IT...
Via her Dex/PDA/thing, Lore is informed by people at the lab she used to volunteer at that Soaringedge, the Deoxys who had taken up residence there, was crossing continents to come to see her. Was this cause for worry?
Meanwhile, Donut bothered some people and their pokemon down the road, causing mischief as usual.

Fixing Dr.Hart
Even though he has reunited with Lore, Soar continues to be a wild pokemon. It is just as Lore wanted. Some time has passed and now it is winter, and Donut has evolved into a Haunter. While taking a walk in the wild with both Soar and Donut, Lore discoveres Adriel nearly killing a man by sucking out his blood.
Lore saves the man and subdues Adriel with Soar's help. She lets him go later, but not before stealing off some of his hair for testing.
She discovers the secret of Adriel's condition. Wanting to help him by developing a genetic therapy, she informs Adriel about the specifics of his condition and gets acquainted with his brother, Daniel. They meet and talk in Daniel's cottage (which is in Seatence Valley).

Day One: LovePinkBunnies vs. Team KICKASS
With Soaringedge, Lore enters the most intense sledding competition of their lives.

This is a very far fetched convention!
Lore is attending a poké-environmentalism Farfetch'd preservation event because she was invited. Thankfully there were other trainers around to enjoy idle chatter with.

Wish Upon a Jirachi
One day in Katarina, trainers were spirited away to the dream world by the power of an angered Jirachi's wish. After surviving the dream world with Jirachi's own wish-granting power, they are entrapped in a nonexistent mansion in which they gradually unravel its story. Lore explores with two other trainers* and the blind trainer, Cygnus. The trainers are confronted by Zoruas, friends of Jirachi wishing to know their intentions. Potatobi's dissatisfaction with Lore's response leads to Donut's appearance; he was hiding in Lore's shadow all this time. She again fails to convey their anger at Jirachi, but the Zorua are satisfied with the humans; ultimately someone calms Jirachi. Issues over, it sends everyone back!

*Team Detective Randy and Myth-Thy
Though trainers were reunited with their pokemans, Lore only found Potatobi. Looking for her missing gengar, Lore explores a closet with Greg and Nina while discussing the situation. With Potatobi's and everyone's help, she catches a Joltik that was for some reason concealed within a metal box.

[PRP] Somewhere at the hour of our meeting, a Jirachi sneezed - Deep in a vast and mysterious tropical forest, a traveler and pokemon watcher hiking along very different paths have a destined, and very coincidental, meeting. (In progress)

[Parn the Combat Galvantula] DJ Buzz & the Electric Spindle - A certain spider convinced Lore to let her participate in a coordination contest. Parn throws a concert in which she is the mastermind, engineer, acrobat, architect, and musician. Tied for top score: 9.5/10!
