Blood pumping through his veins, an animalistic sound poured from his gapping lips, like a purrring growl as he pressed his victim against the cave's wall. His eyes looked like two full moons, flecked with grey specks. Those eyes that clouded their intelligence with need, hunger, bloodlust. His neck hairs rose and he looked about the dark depths of the cave, long white hair pooling and cascading down his shoulders, chest and back. They spotted a crobat watching with certain curiosity at his doings. A cruel chuckle escaped his growling chest. His tall body crouched over the unconcious body of a human male, pinning it with ease. The scent of blood leaked from the hit to the head he had given the unconscious man.
The normally cheerful healer look like something that had come out of a vampire novel as he lowered his head. His nostrils took in the scent of fear, adrenaline and the snow from outside that linger on the man's skin. "Hmmm..." He resounded and chuckled as he felt a zubat land on his own back, peeking its head over his shoulder. "You'll have to wait after me..." He whispered, reaching back and lightly petting the pokemon's head.
Looking around again, his paranoid kept him from getting too comfortable, even thought they were very far into the caves. He made another distrusting sound at the darkness depths and turned his head to his victim, moving their head to the side and pressing his lips against the pulsing neck vein. His whole mind numbed any protest of his humanity as he lunged forward and sank the long fangs in. Removing them a movement later to feed from the leaking blood.

Every slow breath stung with the cold, bitter air of Winter, but she rather liked the feeling. The young scientist had grown up within such a climate, worked for months at a lab in the middle of a frozen desert, and always felt her breathing become easier with the lowered temperature. She also knew how to dress warmly. Every step was almost invisible to her senses, numerous snug coatings of socks and pants numbing her to the physical aspect of the hike. As a matter of fact, she had gotten a little TOO cozy under that scarf of hers- it had been almost one hour now that her sole pokemon had been attempting to push and tease her into speeding up while she plod onwards at an unchangeable relaxed pace. They made for an interestingly grayscale sight- a rare haunter made of silver mist, and a girl [a rather androgynous one xD] whose eyes and hair were an oddly muted gray, as if asleep themselves. Well, almost a grayscale sight- Lamen's winter coat was green. But that's a minor point.
Donut's distractions were ineffective, as she had been looking up ahead with amusement at the legendary pokemon, Deoxys, frolicking in the snow like a child and making an awful lot of odd snowmen/snowpokemon along his human friend's path. Lamen's awfully long walk in between cities did not bother Soaringedge in the least as he was so busy making his freakishly symmetrical masterpieces. The next one seemed to be a voltorb, seeing as Soar was working on a perfect sphere of snow.
Suddenly, a psychic sense of bloodlust shot through the air, catching his full attention. He halted all of his motions sharply, each of his humanlike arms splitting into silver-and-yellow tentacles and whipping around warningly... he stood still otherwise, attempting to pinpoint the signal's source.
Seeing the pokemon's sudden change of attitude, Lamen managed to snap out of her comfortable daze. Soar sent clumsily, still unused to psychic communication in words. Frowning, the human began to look around, finding the opening to a cave nearby. Okay, so no avalanche and no other living thing in view. She could only suppose it was his psychic senses telling him there was something else. "Is it a pokemon in that cave?" She shouted out to the legendary just as a golden plane of light radiated from his core, scanning in the cave's direction. The words came back stunted and partially incoherent, but understandable enough. Someone was being attacked, or maybe had already been attacked. Either way, they had to help. Lamen looked to her haunter, nodding at him once. "Donut! Let's go. Be prepared to teleport upon command." She smiled at Soar before running towards the cave opening- "You don't need to come, but I'd appreciate your help." She didn't even have to mention it- the Deoxys flew in before her, taking the lead.

Being deep in the cave, the healer was unable to hear the commotions outside, not that he would had choose to pay attention while in trance from the feeding. The only thing he could had said he was aware of was of the perched zubats that happily waited their turn with crobats and golbats. Little zubat claws clinging to the material of the long white coat that embraced his upper body. The only other items of clothing he had on him were pair of black pants and matching black boots. To his own defense, wearing shirts made him feel suffocated. His abdomen was cover with bandages.
He felt the pulse of his victim becoming weaker when he felt the zubats suddenly leave from their perches to fly up to where their evolved cousins were. Removing himself from victim's neck, he felt the warm blood ran down his chin and stain his white goatee. A huff came from his vocals as he licked his lips and fangs, wondering what had frighten the bat pokemon.

The stir of motion up ahead confirmed Lamen's fears. There was indeed someone in here... the sound of wet boots and the shuffle of fabric, and then a silence which sent a chill down the girl's spine. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and whispered besides her: "Donut... you can see in the dark. Do you think you could go see what's ahead?"
The haunter passed through the human and Deoxys' bodies though his usual playfulness was nearly entirely gone. Serious moods didn't sit well with him...
A mere fraction of a second later, his cry of shock sounded right in front of them. "HAAAUUUUNNNT!!!" His eyes glowed widely with horror, not knowing that he must've alerted everything in the cave by his reaction. Indeed, the surrounding Zubat all flew up in alarm. Lamen reacted just as immediately- whatever it was, it was CLOSE. "SOR! LIGHT!" The Deoxys shot out a wide, flat beam of light again- revealing a sight unlike anything he or the gray-haired trainer could have expected.
A man pinned against the cave wall, looking pale and dead- and over him was his assailant, a crazed-looking person with... blood running down from his mouth? His feral eyes shone inhumanly in Sor's beam, brewing up confusion in the young scientist- though she couldn't think about it now. They had to protect themselves. They had to restrain him.
Once again, the Deoxys was ahead of her- his four tentacles whipped around him violently now as he raised a shimmering psychic shield around his friends. Enraged, he jabbed a psychic needle at the man's mind, aiming to render him unconscious...

Seeing better in the dark then most, the human look with a little smirk at the haunter. So much for a ghost pokemon, but the smirk soon die as he heard the voices to follow. He moved away from his victim when the light hit him, his pupils reflecting the light, giving them a iridescent greenish tint.
His mind cursed loudly as his humanity hit him all at once. White irises seemed to increased as his pupils became two little dots under the light. A growl came forward and he turned to run when he felt the pokemon's arms around him. He pulled his lips back, showing his teeth as he glared up to the deoxys.
His eyes widen as he felt the attack to his mind, his own shield made itself known by reflecting the attack back. Snow white irises began to freckle purple suddenly, bleeding into the color until they were solid pools of the royal indigo color, pupils going back to their normal sizes. "You'll have to try better then that..." A soft velveted voice called out from the rumbles of his throat and chest. The tall man pry himself free from the pokemon and stepped back. "Leave..." His calm voice was icy cold.

Sor froze momentarily, shocked- letting the man pry himself loose in his confusion. Why didn't it work? With renewed anger at his words, the pokemon's features began to change into his attack forme- only to be stopped. "Sor! You'll kill him that way!" A worried cry from Lamen reminded him of the fact that humans were fragile. Why had he forgotten? He began to charge up a ball of energy instead while orders were being issued.
Lamen was pretty sure she would be ready for what happened next, but clearly this wasn't the case. She had thought the stranger to be some murderer- but clearly he wasn't human. Impossible, She thought, seeing his eyes shift and change before her in ways which would be impossible with mere aesthetic technology. Think! "Donut! Be ready to teleport at my signal. We don't want him to escape, I want him stopped, NOW. Use confusion!" Her voice rang clear despite the tense moment- it was good that she and Donut hadn't been targeted yet.
"Haunterrr!" The ghost pokemon launched another psychic attack at the man, simultaneously as Sor sent his own blast of energy his way.

Adriel stepped back. The chambers of the cave went deeper and deeper, he wonder if he could somehow lost them, but his distracting thoughts were paid by the confusion attack that hit his shield, rebounding it back. It did its job of getting his mind back to the present long enough to see the ball of energy come his way.
A gasp came out of him as his chest was hit. His whole world swirled around him in his head as his body fell back. His mind detect his heart stopping for a full beat before regaining its strength to continue. His eyes rolled back when his head hit a stone, knocking him unconscious as the rest of his body follow in hitting the ground.

It seemed so unreal when the man fell, hit from both sides- a bang from the blast, the sound of a person hitting the ground, and then a momentary silence which was quickly broken by the swirling-around of a Haunter celebrating his victory.
The man was... he was down. Was he okay? Lamen had to run up to his now motionless body, kneeling down to check his pulse immediately. Alive. The thought came to her with a wave of relief, though she couldn't help but feel some aftershock at what she had done, and what she would have to do. She furrowed her brows, thinking- and then it was decided. Judging from his large neck injury, the other person was probably either dead or close to death- he had to be taken care of immediately. As for the one lying on the ground... she wouldn't turn him in just yet. There was something she had to confirm.
"Sor! Do you think you can bring that man to the hospital and then return to me immediately? You're the only one who can communicate with people. Make sure they know you're not the one responsible- vision of friendliness, okay?" The Deoxys nodded reluctantly, gently extending his "arms" to the bleeding man, and then disappearing. She knew that he wasn't confident with his interactions with others- she would thank him for this and more later. Then, Lamen turned to Donut. "Come on Donut, let's carry this guy... this isn't a joke, so remain solidified the entire time, understood?" The silvery Haunter paused from his joyful dance and cackled, returning to his trainer's side to help her lift up the unconscious assailant with his floating claws. His mischievous cheer had completely returned by now and he couldn't help but hum a tune as they carried him...
-----later-----
This used to be a solitary abandoned shack on the outskirts of the city. No longer. Except for the floor, there appeared to be a warping miasma of dark colors on every side, confusing one's sense of distance and location. This was a Night Shade attack intermixed with Haunter's Haze attack, suspended with lasting effect thanks to [the now returned] Sor's Mirror Coat applied to their surroundings- assuredly, trying to escape from here would not only be painful, but likely impossible without a powerful psychic attack to dispel the clever combination. Lamen hadn't won awards for nothing- creative use of resources for overwhelmingly effective results? Sure. Only thing is, she was trapped too, until she let her Deoxys teleport her out. She sat on a chair, twirling several strands of hair before her- they had been borrowed from the unconscious man that the team had knocked out earlier- she hoped he would wake up soon, as waiting in this headache-inducing atmosphere was difficult. He lied before her, tucked in bed- though she doubted the initial comfort would dissuade his anger afterwards. She didn't really have any defenses of her own, but... with this, he shouldn't be able to escape. And she had to talk to him. He had to convince her he wasn't going to hurt anyone again.
Pocketing the silver hair, she waited.

As his consciousness came back to life, he could feel his whole chest become aflame. Giving himself a mental check, he kept himself from groaning or changing his current status at all. His breathing and heartbeat remind in their calm state. Slowly, he checked all his senses without opening his eyes to get a picture of where he was.
He wasn't in a hospital, or jail. That much that scent of the place could tell him. His sense of touch told him he was laying on ....a bed? He ponder exactly where he was. He sensed someone near, he knew his eyes were still purple, so he could only conclude that the deoxys(how many legendaries had he met now?) was still around.
His eyes open slowly, taking their time to become used to the light change. Sitting up slowly, he looked towards the presence he had felt. "Ah..." The gentle voice seemed iced. "It's you." He let his feet dropped on to the floor. His eyes looking at her closely. "So.....Why am I still...hmmm...not in jail? I can't really say 'free' now can I?"

The gray-haired girl blinked at stared at the man mutely for a second- She'd never done anything like this before, so... with how nerve-wracking it already was, the man's immediate inquiry was... difficult, to say the least. What should she answer? Her shoulders slumped low, elbows placed on her knees as she sighed. At the end of this display she sat back up with an uncomfortable expression, though she stared the sarcastic man straight in the eye. There was not a hint of hate or aggressiveness in her behavior- only a kind of tired exasperation.
"Okay, let's start over." She said with a clear, calm voice, obviously younger that the "prisoner"'s own. She meant that he had made introductions a little difficult, so... there wasn't really a way for her to pick up where he left her hanging. "I'm Lamen Tvalhal, and I want to help you. Nice to meet you. Do you... have a name?" She asked tentatively, as if doubtful. People normally did, but... something told her this man wasn't exactly normal to begin with.
"As for your question... I apologise for the unconventional methods, but please understand that you haven't exactly given me a reason to trust you won't go hurt more people the second I release you."

The man watched her closely, taking in her movements and expressions. A white eyebrow arched high at her introduction and asking if he had a name. Sitting up straighter and folding his arms across his chest. "I do have a name." He answer with an icyness he truly had hoped to keep back. "Adriel Lock E. Hart. "He said his name clearly, to show he wasn't just a savage or demented man. He knew his appearance was too peculiar, telling her his name wasn't dangerous at all at this point.
"I am not a serial killer....I am not even a killer. I did not kill that man....I was just a means towards that death. He would had die of exposure, drainage and just the elements of nature. I was just giving nature that opportunity while helping myself." He spoke as if answer some common question like 'how do you wind up a clock to the right hour?'. "But then i suppose that's not the answer you are looking for." He smile, showing rather large fangs for a human.
"I assure you, Lamen." He had taken quick note of memorizing the girl's name and appearance. "I am not a serial killer or a demented man. I am quiet intelligent. What you encounter was not a fit of rage or madness." To certain point. His mind added silently and unhelpful. His purple eyes wonderer away from her form to elsewhere before coming back. "But I suppose you could call me one. The views of our human laws and nature are narrow minded, but I am sure you don't wish me to bored you with my views on my own actions."
"By far, you also have given me no reason to trust you, but once again, that's just a too wide view of the situation to be taken in count." The man dusted off his shoulders and closed his coat, buttoning up the chest close, but leaving the tail and neck of the garment open and unfussed over. "I assure you I have no intention of hurting more people the second you release me." Even a real killer would tell you that that's plain stupid to do.Once again his mind supplied in a very unhelpful manner. "As I said, what you witness was not a fit of nothingness, I did not go into it out of some strong emotion. It was just something that had to be done."

Lamen regarded this Lock person critically, more and more unsettled by everything he said. If he was trying to make himself look innocent, he wasn't doing very well. Trying to shift the blame for someone's death to the conditions they themselves inflicted upon the victim? The comment about only not hurting people the second after release didn't help either- about now, she was mentally begging him to say ANYTHING that would let her free him.
She was rather reluctant to reply, but if not conversation, what else could they do in this restricted place? "I... see." She continued attempting to scrutinize his eyes and face as she spoke, as if looking for something out of the ordinary. The fangs certainly weren't, but a lot of people had those for aesthetic reasons. She decided not to ask. "I apologize if I must disagree. What you did to that man is indeed an attempted murder, since it would have led to his death regardless of the nature of that death. The human laws and morals you speak of are there for a reason- and they apply only to humans for a reason. One cannot blame a hungry tiger for killing a man, but-" If you are, in fact, a human (she held that thought wisely) "-you are a human, and therefore morals apply. People do not kill other people unless it is to survive, and you don't seem to be in any state or location to have to resort to cannibalism."
"And no, you are right about the issue of trust. But as you can see, I've neither turned you in, revealed your secret to anyone, or restrained you in any uncomfortable fashion- scratch that, this place is giving me a headache. But you know, other than that. Besides, I looked you up on the list of criminals with this handy thing-" on that note, she waved her pokedex/cellphone/all-in-one-dealey-thing- "-and didn't find you there. Speaking of which, what do you think my reason for talking to you is?" She asked, all subtle amusement now. She hadn't exactly answered that question yet.

The man once again smile just ever so slightly. A phantom of what a smile should be. His calm eyes watching her face expression as she answered. He once again rose an eyebrow as he was shown the pokedex. "Of course not. I have no criminal record. Even if I did, what makes you think a killer would be out on the loose if the police had evidence of what I did?"
"My worse offense was when I slapped an officer to stop her hysteria while I was trying to save her pokemon from dying." He paused for a moment. "I suppose I should clear that out right away. I am a pokemon healer and by extend, a human one to a point. I can do some procedures on humans, but I am not completely familiar with our own anatomy to fully be a doctor of our kind."
His purple eyes close. "As for no need to kill another, in some level you are correct, I did not need to, but in others you are deadly wrong. The person I 'killed' tonight was someone who deserved such death, to let them roam this earth is inhuman of us. As for my own personal need...well...that's personal" His eyes reopen, showing a more feral look before it quickly disappeared to be replace by intelligence. "Lamen, I can't convince you of letting me go without outright lying, converting you to my way of thinking or telling you my life story. Even if I did the later, I hardly think you will see my reason for killing that man. It something I did. I didn't do it for fun, I did it out of need. Now you can either let me go, or I can just plainly try my best to leave on my own. I will probably look like savage or inept, but i dislike being restrain. I will not even consider right out attacking you or threating you. I have nothing on you but probably a bruise that is forming on my chest from that deoxys' attack. Not that I would threaten you, I hold nothing against you. You saw something that by the laws you grew up with, you are told is wrong, I can bow my head to that and acknowledge it.
He looked away. "Much like a beast, being bind to anyone or anything sends me running and wild for the freedom of open lands and forests. I do not wish to be here. You have my word I will not kill another when you let me go."

This sounded like someone who approved of the death sentence. A vigilante, so to speak. Someone who thought they had a right to judge another life and remove it, without realizing that they suffered from the same disabilities or worse as the "criminal" they choose to murder- the kind of people, Lamen thought, who either needed a lot of help to realize the true value of life, or did not have the capacity to act otherwise by nature alone.
He says he did it out of need. It was useless trying to reason with him for now- rather than try to explain himself clearly, he was doing an awful lot of judging, judging, judging- without even looking at himself. Throwing labels and assumptions on her without even knowing about her own nature, or her past... obviously, he didn't seek reconciliation. Or if he did, he had no clue how he sounded right now. It was kind of... cute in a way. A good thing that at least he had a few endearing qualities- [which other people than the extremely odd girl would think of as unbearably aggravating] because she was going to share some responsibility for his case.
Lamen chuckled, catching herself too late- she had broken the atmosphere. Well. that was all right. She straightened herself on the chair. "Say what you want about me if doing so pleases you, but only if you keep in mind that you know nothing. I am as much a stranger to you as you are a stranger to me, and you haven't shown any restraint in stressing the latter point. ...Well, it's nothing we can't fix. I'm sure... we'll get to know each other well, eventually. Perhaps you'll get to know yourself better, too. " She smiled, an empathic, accepting smile. She was known by her coworkers as someone who could face anything without so much as a flinch, though this was far from true- it's only that rather than judge things or people from the start, she let them reveal themselves to her and accepted what came as the truth about said person or thing, and then worked with it in mind.
"I'm getting a little hungry now. It is well past lunch time, after all. Unless you'd like to join me, you may leave. Sorry for taking your time." She got up, extending a hand to shake- not really expecting him to take it.

"No, I apologize on that regard. I do not know you, personally as an individual." He rose to his feet and took her wrist, instead of her hand. Giving a phantom of a smile again before letting it go. "Once again, I apologize, that's how I was taught to shake hands. For each person to grab the offer wrist. ...I suppose in this situation it might not have been the right course."
He rose an eyebrow. "I don't believe my pokemon expect me back just yet. While I am not adverse with having lunch with you, I don't think your deoxys and haunter will agree with my presence. Besides, I do not wish to impose myself upon you."
