CANDIDATES:There are posters hanging all over town proclaiming 1 spot open on the Destiny City Council. They are brightly colored and direct all potential candidates to apply for the election at City Hall. They also make mention that there is no age limit to run so long as the candidate is a legally aged adult (18+) Please turn in your candidacy forms no later than FRIDAY, APRIL 5th at Midnight PST! All valid candidates will be announced on Saturday, April 6th! Debate to follow!

The Breakdown - Election Day fever has broken out in Destiny City. From Sat April 6th to Sat April 13th voters or political enthusiasts may participate in the electoral system and help their candidate win a spot on the city council.
There will be fun and games to be had and in the end one of the candidates will actually be elected directly by the civilians of Destiny City. This character may play, from then on, as if they are on the Destiny City Council and may use that in their interactions with others.
The winner will determined by the members of their election team to be chosen at the debate. Each election team (including the candidate themselves) will play games to win votes for their team by things like bake selling, going door to door, and creating posters and awareness for their candidate. These contests will have their own specific timelines and in the end the totals will be added up as described in the game's start with the points earned by each team member going directly toward their candidate's total.
The more active the campaign workers are the better chances their candidates have of winning! In this game civilians will truly make a difference! Maybe you know a candidate has an alternate agenda because you know they have a secret life. Maybe you don't and you're campaigning for them anyway cause they have you convinced they're the right choice. Maybe you're an average joe and you're running cause you actually care! I WANNA RUN... Name Haley Sunray Jones Age 21 Date of Birth September 17, 1991 Platform As a passionate political activist, Haley Jones has many platforms as foundations for her campaign. While some of these may not pass through other members of the council, she will fight for each of the following platforms: As a strong advocate of gay marriage, Councilwoman Haley Jones would mandate that all gays and lesbians must be married.
The legalization of marijuana, and the promotion of marijuana farms in the city.
Furthermore, Councilwoman Haley Jones feels that a siesta, derived from Spanish culture, should be placed in the middle of the day as an hour break period to get high.
April 20 would be a citywide holiday. This is for 420, not to celebrate the birthday of Adolf Hitler. The latter would be highly frowned upon by the Jones administration.
Psychics, tarot card readers and other fortunetellers would be employed at hospitals as medical consultants, and in police stations as profilers and investigators.
In effort to reduce the carbon footprint in Destiny City, all cars and buses would be banned from the city. Instead, the only modes of transit would be allowed are pedestrians or cyclists. However, to have a great economic distribution of bicycles, they should be split in half so that only unicycles are legal.
The Destiny City Zoo will now feature a human exhibit for the animals to observe and photograph humans in their natural habitat of being locked in a cage naked.
No more Republicans, because, right?
The sale, cooking, or consumption of meat is strictly prohibited.
Sidewalks may no longer have cracks in them to avoid bad luck and potential breaking of mothers’ backs.
Councilwoman Haley Jones really likes fun fingernail colors, so something involving them. This platform needs more planning.
Police officers must ask for permission before tasing, spraying, or apprehending a suspect or criminal. If the suspect says they are innocent and a psychic confirms as much, no further action may be done.
Any sale may be bartered for an exchange other than cash in effort to remove money from society.
Due to the terribleness of the winter season, it is now banned and replaced with an elongated fall and early spring. Agenda Haley truly supports all of these causes. She is, however, also a Senshi who is opposed to violence, so would stand with that perspective if it came into the public or political arena.

Agenda - To try and make sure that the city can progress in a manner that she sees as "acceptable". Green living, focus on education, easily accessible health care for everyone, ect. To act as a representative for children and young adults of Destiny City so that their voices are heard when decisions are made. 2. To increase civic activity of children and young adults. 3. I WANNA RUN... Name – Marissa ReevesAge – She has been 27 for the last ten years. 8| Date of Birth - May 19th, 1975 Platform – 1.) Establish a city-wide curfew for those below the age of 16. By 9PM, you better get your a** off the streets. 2.) Put your obnoxious children on leashes while in public. 3.) Improved public transit. Traffic is terrible and also you’re screwing up the environment. 4.) Get better food in school cafeterias. "Better" as in “healthy.” 5.) Healthy eating/living overall. Exercise is good for you. 6.) Promote additional educational opportunities for low-income areas. 7.) Legalize marijuana. Also, tax it. 8.) Better textbooks in schools. It’d be nice to get some more technology in there, too. Less books, more tablets/e-readers. 9.) All schools will teach evolution. Agenda – All of the above, but she also watches the news a lot and hates the portrayal of the Senshi/Knights, because even though she’s new she’s fairly certain the news has it wrong. She’d like to try and improve their reputation.
