One experiment with a lighter later and the Acceptance Bin was now a Twitchy Ashy Soot-Covered Acceptance Bin.

Natural Ability:

Being year three Andrew can send fire in any direction he wills and create some simple shapes out of it. He can also put it out on will, thought it still leaves a scorch mark where it was. This only applies to normal fire.

Personality: Andrew loves food, and will do just about anything he can to get a hold of it. He also likes money, because it gets him nice things and lots of food. He thinks he’s quick witted and a bit of a con man, and will happily little deals that are to his advantage whether they are as small and trading off his jello in exchange for cookies or a favor for a favor. Once a deal is made he will follow it, though he will be sure to charge extra for everything not in the original deal. Despite being picky about deals he does not lie often. He finds the truth can be more useful when manipulating other people even if he stretches it to fit the situation. He's stubborn, so if you are trying to pull information out of him, even if it's something small like where is the bathroom, it can be like trying to convince the pumpkin sun to come up at a different time unless you promise something in exchange or you have gained his friendship.

He’s also grumpy and does not like being touched. Touching him will usually result in flailing and pulling away and yelling. The worst thing you can do is hug him, not that most would want to hug a burning ball of annoyed demon. Once you manage to get his loyalty, he will go out of the way to make sure you get good deals too, however that doesn’t mean he won’t take your lunch.

When he gets into a fight, he still would far prefer to run away and will try and find the quickest exit route. However, if forced to fight he with fire and will generally just burn the heck out of you. If you like your cloths, maybe he is not the best sparring partner, as he's pretty useless at even throwing a punch.

While he is a flame demon he does not fear water. He does however complain loudly when forced to deal with it. If it’s raining he will take the nearest shelter and not move until it’s gone. While he won’t mind sitting next to the lake, he take care to stay out of dunking distance. He does not like frost things because they keep harassing him. Snow and Ice are things he stays as far away from as he can. (Looking at you Molan) There is one exception to this rule, and that is only sometimes and complicated. He doesn't really mind the cold too terribly much as long as he can not be cold himself.

He is the type to keep moving. He has a need to know the area he is in, and scouts for all the best places to get himself into the air. He tends to consider all the escape routes. He’s not particularly strong, so he works what he has, and that is speed and, in a pinch, flight. Due to his persistent nature of learning an area, he will rarely get lost, but he is very uncomfortable in areas he does not know well. If you give him money or food he will happily use his wings to run errands for you.


Andrew also is ambitious. If he wants something done he will take the lead and do it, if no one else has taken the lead. When he is motivated to do something he generally will not stop until it's done. However if he has problems doing it himself he might find someone to do it for him.

Andrew is interested in collecting minions. If you can put up with his bad personality, he does want friends.

He's also curious, and likes learning new things and solving problems. He collects information, useless and not. However, this curiosity can lead him into some dangerous situations.

Andrew also likes to Troll his friends and enemies. Trolling usually is just verbal harassment, like telling you to go kiss that girl you like at the kissing booth, or giving out unwanted information at exactly the wrong time, just to see your reaction. You have been warned.

Click to show.Friendships: While it is incredibly hard to gain his full trust and friendship, once you have it, he sort of views you as part of his own property, in that he takes care of you. While sometimes that means he will tell you what to do and when you are being a moron, that also mean if you are down on your luck he will help you, begrudgingly.

Break his trust once, and you may never have it again. However if you do earn it, he will often do favors for you for free, or go a little out of his way to make life easier for you. Or perhaps, it's possible he might try to protect you, depending on the situation.

Once he has accepted you are part of his group, he drops his guard and becomes cheery on occasion. (He can't be grumpy all the time)

Romance: He likes a ghoul. So far he won't really talk about it, but right now, it is really stressing him out. She's undead, he's kind of on fire, it's an impossible no win situation.

Not officially taken but he's rather not interested in relationships. The one he is not in is currently complicated enough. But if plot happens to plot who knows.

As flame demon Andrew has an ever burning flame, and his happens to be on his tail. Don't mess with it. It burns and he bites.

Skills:
Math: Andrew is very good with numbers.
Auditory skills: If he hears it, he can repeat it back exactly, but only if he thinks what you are saying is important at the time of hearing it. This makes him a fast learner when it comes to class, and also makes him difficult to out smart in a trade.
Puzzles: He's fairly decent at them.
Card games: He can put on a poker face... or will at least make you think he's winning when he's really not.
Chess: He's decent, by no means a master mind, but he like to fork and take pieces.
Checkers: He likes playing ok.
Flight: Tight spaces are still a little harder, he is used to his wings being smaller but he's learned to avoid cramped spaces.

Weaknesses:

Swimming: Nope, not happening. Not only can he not swim, he will pass out if his tail gets put out.
Treasure hunting: he looses his head if you mention the words treasure an hunt around him.
Terrible with people: Andrew's special skill is to piss people off. He always manages to say exactly the wrong thing.

In one of the basement rooms in the fire demon area, a new student has moved in.

The first thing a visitor will notice upon entering Andrew’s room is it is hot, sweltering hot. Andrew likes things as hot as he can keep them. His fire place is actually a gas stove, which he finds rather convent, and likes to crank up the heat and leave it on.

His room splits off into several areas like a small apartment, the first is a kitchen/ dinning room area and in the back is a bedroom along with a bathroom. Being a flame demon he has certain needs, one is that everything in the room needs to be fire proof. While he has nice fireproof rugs, most of the room has stone floors that can take a forgetful tail sweeping over them. The furniture is all flame retardant, but he manages to have nice soft places to curl up on.

In the main area there is a desk, shoved behind the couch, and taking up as little space as the room will allow. It has a (laptop) and printer hooked up to it, along with a few extras including speakers. Andrew keeps all his paper safely in the drawers, and neatly tucked away to prevent it from accidentally getting burned as when he was younger many assignments vanished into a puff of ash. Above the desk is a bored of pictures of people with names and notes written in really messy handwriting besides them. Most of the notes are unreadable except to the expert eye. There is also a calendar off to the side.

While he has a table, Andrew is more inclined to eat on the couch, and occasionally naps there. He also has a skelevision hooked up with games, but will usually take up residence in the chair while playing them, but he rotates around and even winds up upside down on the rare occasion.

There is a small kitchen, which includes a sink in the corner. Next to the sink is a pair of yellow rubber gloves. While Andrew does not fear water, he dislikes the feel of it. However when the occasion arises that something of his is dirty, he will clean it. Thankfully the dishwasher does more of the work for him. This is part of the trade off he had to agree to to get his own space for some of his food supplies; he wanted a space to keep his snacks away from the other students, his mother only agreed if he promised to clean up himself. She is attempting to impart self sufficiency unto him.

In the cupboards there is a ton of snacks all of them dry. While he has a small fridge it is more for storing things that need to be kept cold, but he rarely uses it.

Tucked in a corner is a shelf with gold trinkets and lighters. He collects lighters. Don't touch them.

His bathroom has a lava bath. Another one of the reason he couldn't just get a single room with nothing else, Andrew like all flame demons baths in lava an therefor he needs his own bath. To his displeasure this puts him on the ground floor and ruins his opportunity to use the windows as a convent flight exit. While his family isn't of the extremely rich variety, most flame demons are. It was easier to just take one of the already available accommodations rather then ask for smaller or higher. Sure it means shelling out a little more every change of October, but Amity is the best school around so his mother wanted him to at least be semi comfortable, and clean.

Bedroom: yes that is a double bed. Yes it is very much over large for his tiny body, but as this room is going to be it for the long run, well, his parents are hoping he will grow at least some and the double is needed to accommodate for those wings later. (hopefully) Moving up to king size baby.

THE ANATOMY OF A FIRE DEMON:
Just because I felt it was a little necessary to clarify things, and lay things out for myself as a reference for rp. In the world of Halloween I've had to address a few questions myself (such as: do flame demons cry? sweat? how do they eat? etc.) and I figured compiling it into a guide would be helpful. Flame demon and Fire demon are used interchangeably, but I promise they're the same thing xD

Fire demons can be any height, any shape, any size. Typically their skin tone ranges anywhere from light tan (which is where Danny's at) and darker. They can also go from snookie orange to tomato red- and anything darker. There are cases of pale flame demons, its simply not as common. (Its not a bad thing to be pale or anything like that.) Eyes and hair can be any color- they tend to be warmer colors, but any color is fine.

Their entire body is fire resistant and lava resistant. Flame demons' hair tends to grow rather rapidly, because in pinch situations they can use it as kindling. The hair is flame resistant while attached to the body, but if it ever becomes detached from the body, it is flammable once more because it is no longer connected to the FEAR in the flame demon's body. As such, flame demons tend to treat lava as their "water" (they bathe in it, swim in it). It should be noted that they don't drink it though. Their skin is ridiculously dry. It is smooth, but retains no water.

All Flame demons have horns that begin as black stubs until about high school, where they grow to be any range of shapes and sizes. In example, Danny's have grown upwards and outwards, gaining orange and yellow tips. Her brother Oersted's horns are purely black and curly around his ears. Her father's horns remained somewhat short, but gained a reddish hue. Overall, they can become any shape or color, but will always start black and stubby.

Wings vary from place to place. They can literally be any shape or size. Some can fly, but most can't. Danny's particular wings are small and useless; they are only there for intimidation. Tails vary as well- some have them, some don't. They're mostly black or red/warmer hues, but they can be pretty much any shape, size, or color as well.

Flame demons have a lot of variation within their external body. Some can have spikes coming out of random spots on their body, some have claws, some don't. Outer appearance, for the most part, is up to the digression of the player.

Their internal body makeup is nearly always the same though. Aside from having a naturally warmer body temperature, flame demons also have slightly lighter skeletal frames. This comes from the flame demons who have the ability to fly. Even those that don't fly kept the light skeleton simply from evolution. Beside their blood vein is a sort of "second" vein of FEAR that flows through their entire body, and lies right beneath the skin. Technically speaking, flame demons could burst into full-body flames at any moment, using this vein. However, only very skilled flame demons can do it- a wimpy high school student could not. Areas where the vein is more easily manipulated are the hands, the feet, the horns and any area with a flaming orifice.

Which brings me to the next and most crucial part of flame demons. EVERY fire demon has a flaming orifice. It is an area of the body connected very closely to the FEAR vein. Simply put: fire demons don't sweat, produce saliva, etc. To do so would be silly in terms of evolution. As such, they need a method to keep their body temperature at a reasonable level (flame demons still have ridiculously high body temperatures, but even they have to keep it from sky rocketing!). So to get rid of the excess heat and FEAR, it all gets pushed out of the body in one way or another. It could be a flaming claw, a flaming horn, wing- really, it could be anything, it just has to be flaming. In example, Danny's is her tail, Oersted's is his left horn. If water ever puts this flaming orifice out, all the FEAR and heat would bottle up in their body. Nearly instantly, they get sent into a coma for about a week (sometimes more, sometimes less. Depends on the conditions of rp). For the flame demon, it basically feels like falling asleep rather rapidly. Think of how you feel when you sit next to a fire for too long- lethargic and sleepy.

Concerning water, flame demons CAN touch it. From a young age they're taught that it is a deadly substance (because ... well it is) and generally do NOT touch it. Danny hadn't touched it until she got to Amityville and Calder talked her into it. If they do touch it, it feels slimey, and gross. Like sticking your hand in a vat of algae, or maybe lotion/jello. If they KEEP touching water, the exposed area eventually feels a slight stinging sensation, and then their FEAR starts unraveling slightly- its just not a good idea to touch it for very long. Fire demons would never, never drink water- or any other liquids for that matter. Halloween works a little differently, so flame demons recover their FEAR by eating. They literally never drink anything. Only eat. Eating forever. Danny tends to eat her food by burning it to a crisp and then eating it, but its really up to the character how they eat their food.

Some special notes:

- No flame demons can breathe fire. Leave that to the dragons, eh?

- Most flame demons don't wear much clothing. Shirtless guys and bikini girls is a common teenage trend. There are exceptions, and its not like they CAN'T wear more clothing.

- Flame demons don't cry. They shake, and tremble. It generates more heat for their bodies, which is a comfort for them.

- Flame demons are all called flame demons. They specialize in different areas in the human world, but their species is just defined as "flame demon."

- Fire demons TEND to be on the wealthier side. They are poor flame demons and what not, but considering that fire is as old as the hills, they've been in the business for quite some time. Many of them have inheritances that they can sit on for quite some time.

- Flame demons tend to not keep fluffy pets like foxfires or treats. It should be pretty obvious why.

- They can speak in demonic hiss. For rp, this basically is "Written like thisss with the s's multipled by threesss." I tend to make it red colored, but its your choice. This generally only comes out when the speaker is ridiculously enraged-

Laura (mom): Very strict, wants things done right the first time. She is out to gain her own name for herself. She is a very secretive demon and can play a poker face very well. She also is into trading stalk and has several different business avenues going for her, including trade and an apartment set she has for rent in firelands. Very ambitious. Her goals for her only child include making sure he can handle himself in the world without burdening the family. (better would be for him to make a name for himself and be a good head of a company somewhere but she'll take what she can get. Though strict she understand that sometimes good enough,

Morgan (mum): A very sweet, if self conscious demon. She loves her child very much, to the point of spoiling a bit. she is very protective and doesn't like his adventurous nature. She'd keep him at home if it were possible. Laura and her seem to have polar opposite views on a lot of things but in the end Lura often wins because Morgan just doesn't have it in her to stick to her guns.

Father? What do you mean there has to be a male parent? Perhaps some random male contributor gave a little fear to his pumpkin before Morgan picked him out.

Danny (cousin) : No one talks about her. No one. Andrew didn't even know she existed till he was sent off to the same school as her and it was all, "Oh you cousin goes there too." after his bags were packed.
Shortly after meeting her, Andrew quickly understood why. (The broken window is still not forgotten.) That isn't to say he doesn't like his cousin, (it's actually really funny how gullible she is) but she drives him crazy sometimes. Still, he tries to makes sure she isn't dead every once in a while.

A curious pet. She is the bed pet and drifts around Andrew's room and gets into his things. She also likes to escape out the door and explore occasionally. Being on fire herself she is immune to Andrew's grumpiness and will occasionally settle on his lap when he allows it.

Andrew won this from a valentines festival one year and it hasn't stopped following him since.
This Beebs likes sitting by the fireplace and staring at whoever walks in. It's pretty mellow and doesn't mind the abuse and neglect so Andrew has taken to occasionally feeding it and lets it stay. It's possible Andrew actually likes this pet, but the world will never know.

Ever since Danny moved out a whole host of firelands minis moved into Andrew's room. occasionally they will roam through and bask in the heat of his room. Andrew doesn't like them and he doesn't feed them but they come regardless.

Andrew does collect wicks and and candle scents an they are posted around his room. He also has a few favored dragon minis that occasionally get taken out of the closet.

Special ability: Bladed Wyverns utter a shrill noise to signal to others that it is around. It has extremely talented aerobatic abilities that give it the nickname, the pest of the sky, as its talons are fashioned to be able to drop from the sky and attack other flying creatures.

Teleportation: Teleports from Miasma Village to Halloween Town only through portals.
Temper: Tiresome. This high energy creature is hard to wear out and will often fly circles and screech loudly. Will often be accidentally summoned instead of the mount you are trying to summon.

Temper: Slightly aggressive. More aggressive mounts of this type like to butt heads with each other.

FEAR Amp: For two turns, you get +2 damage (normal attack rolls only). These are usable once per battle. After it has been used, the bracelet loses power, rendering them useless, unless they're recharged. The question is... how the heck do you do that? At least the bracelet looks nice... When using this in battle, please mention the item and its effects, as well as how long it's lasting and whatnot as usual with battle items.

Abilities and Fighting Stats

Attack: 2d10 -6

Defend: 1d8

Amount of fear attacks per battle: 1 y3 attack 1 y2 attack and 1 y1 attack

Natural Ability: year 1

Fireball: Flame demons can not only emit heat but also light, creating small fireballs in their hands without even the need to evoke their Fear.

Natural Ability: year 2

Fire control: Flame demons command fire in one direction or another, and even turn it over on it's self putting it out.

Natural Ability: year 3

Fire image: Flame demons can make simple shapes out of fire, though these only last a short time. They are also in motion because well fire.

FEAR Abilitys:

He sends several fireballs at his opponent.

Swift Strikes
When hit by Swift Strikes, the opponent is hit several times in rapid succession. On their own these attacks would deal little damage, but when combined they are on par with the best of Battle Cries.

First Dice:

xxxxx 2 - 3: HIT however the resulting damage is divided by 2. Only 50% of the damage is dealt.
xxxxx 4: HIT however the resulting damage is multiplied by .8. Only 80% of the damage is dealt.
Damage: Ignore the first dice, total up the remaining dice. Divide or multiply the total by the modifier depending.
Average Damage: 8 (50%), 12 (80%)


Tier Two:

First Dice:

Flame blade: Battle cry y2
A condensed bit of FEAR into a solid like flame. It feels a bit like being cut with a hot knife.


The Battle Cry

The Battle Cry
The most basic offensive Fear attack. The Battle Cry enables its user to deal higher-than-usual damage without a drawback. The only drawback is being able to fire it off properly.


Tier One:
Dice: 4d4
First Dice:
xxxxx 1: Miss
xxxxx 2: Half Damage
xxxxx 3-4: Full Damage
Damage: Add up remaining dice. This total is the damage dealt to your opponent.
Average Damage: 8


Tier Two:
Dice: 7d4
First Dice:

xxxxx 2-4: Full Damage
Damage: Add up remaining dice. This total is the damage dealt to your opponent.
Average Damage: 15


Tier Three:
Dice: 9d4

Fire eater: Bite y1
Changes the properties of flames to steal fear. It still burns but now it pulls what it burns into the user. The flames take on a greenish tint.

Note #1 - FEAR ATTACKS: This Fear does NOT work with other Fear abilities! If you use Battle Cry/Gambler's Chance/etcetc hitting your opponent WILL NOT HEAL YOU.
Note #2 - DEFENDING: You will NOT absorb HP while defending with this active! Defending with the Bite active WILL USE UP A TURN!
Note #3: If you have this ability and you use a Fear or Defend, IT WILL COUNT AS A TURN USED.
Note #4: If used with the Eye, the duration of the effect will be extended. The maximum duration this Fear attack can have is four turns.
Note #5: This ability CANNOT be cast on someone else! This can only target and heal the user!

Learned abilities

Battle Effect: This is an ADD on effect! You cannot use it with your Fear. Once per battle, by using this effect (please state so), instead of rolling your usual 2d6/8/10, you will roll THREE dice.
- The first two dice behave as normal, simply add up the damage and subtract 6.
- THE LAST DICE, if even, is the additional damage you do DIVIDED BY TWO. If your last dice is odd, you do all of the damage of the THREE DICE ROLLS (the third roll amount divided by two) to yourself
Non-battle Effect: A character acquires the ability to create a menacing aura, perhaps enough to lightly startle others.
