gaia_crown [ Demons ]: Quick-witted and cunning, demons will do anything to get their way, and that includes writing it all in a contract. What they lack in general strength and intelligence they make up in wit (in general), as well as their persistence to make things happen their way, as pioneers of all sorts of expeditions. House Colors: Black + Red Mascot: Beholder Contract Motto: Non docor, duco (We are not lead, we lead)
Member's List:
RAs: Danny - chimarii Sammy - Miliardo Kason West - Smerdle
You hear the pitter patter of wings, followed by the shout of a demon. "Place your bets! Win a prize!" It seems like the races are about to start!
ooc
Come one, come all to the beholder races! Here you can place bets on the beholders- if the one you pick wins, so do you!
MECHANICS
gaia_crown There are two stages to beholder racing. First there is a betting period. This will be announced below. The betting period is open for 12 OOC hours. During this time you can bet on one of the four beholders: spades, hearts, diamonds, or clubs.
During the betting period, rp your character betting on a certain beholder, and use this form at the top of your post:
I AM BETTING ON (inser beholder name here)!
gaia_crown Once the betting period is over, the demon running the game at the time will roll 4d20, one for each beholder. The one with the highest number has won the race! Anyone who bets on that beholder wins a tier 1 prize!
HOWEVER: If any beholder rolls a 1, he accidentally flies into the beholders around him, knocking them out of the race too!
EXAMPLE:
Sally bets on Spades. Jack bets on Spades as well. Oogie bets on Clubs. The mayor bets on Hearts.
The betting period is over, so the Demon in charge rolls a 4d20, and the results are as such:
1, 16, 5, 7 (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs)
Since Hearts would be highest, the mayor should win, but since Spades was rolled 1, he takes out both himself and Hearts. Therefore, clubs is the winner- Oogie prevails!
gaia_star Multiple people can bet on one beholder, it is not first come first serve gaia_star Multiple people can also win on one beholder!
gaia_crown Winners receive ONE Tier 2 Item. Losers receive one IC Prize!
BETS ARE CURRENTLY [ OPEN / CLOSED ] The Demon in Charge is currently: ???

A sultry well dressed succubus stands next to a large, colorful wheel. It allures you, for whatever reason.
"Care to spin for a chance to win?" She smirks and poses beside the wheel.
Apparently, here students can spin the wheel for a chance to line their pockets with silver compliments of the Err Family Fortune! What could be better then relieving a snooty demon of a hefty amount of silver? Too bad the games rigged to keep the goods circulating among her fellow demons, but maybe you don't have to play so fair either.
OOC
Rules: Once a Day each person can roll 1 d100 and match up to see what prize they've won. (Post the appropriate form to claim winnings)
Each race gets it's own unique 'cheat' feature to use on the wheel to better their odds.
Demons: Never lose! If you spin badly and win nothing you can always use your demon charm to nab the lowest tier prize of the day. (Can be used once a day)
Monsters: Growls, Thumps, and Snarls make the wheel move a little add or subtract 5 to whatever your roll was (Can be used once every 2 days)
Reapers: The magical touch sure helps a little here that wheel keeps spinning...Roll again then average out the total of both rolls. (Roll1+Roll2÷2=Roll Total For the Day) (Can be used once every 2 days)
Ghosts: Dead roll, you can choose to re-roll but your next roll will be -10 and you can't choose to go back to the original it's time has passed. (Can be used once a day)
Undead: Detachable limbs, gross, but Sin won't notice if your hand comes up and gives the wheel another spin. Spin again choose which spin you want to stick with. (Can be used once every 3 days)
1-30 = The wheel spins slowly and comes to a grinding halt on the losing spot, ouch! 31-40 = Oh look you've won a random minipet! 41-60 = You won a shiny silver seed! 61-80 = You must have spun that wheel pretty hard you get a random orb/inkjar/or ship and 5k silver 81-99 = Nice job, you win 10k silver + an SE minipet! 100 = WOOHOO! We have a winner! 1million silver (or 1million gaia gold if you are less minipet inclined)
Win these and more!

There was nothing elaborate about this game, apart from the fact there were dozens of roses scattered about. A post was stuck into the ground nearby, with a cardboard version of the demon mascot tapped onto the top, a hole cut in the middle. Next to the sign was a small table, with a clear container placed on top. Inside it were a dozen small moths and beetles, all swarming around trying to get out of their confinement.
A third sign was also seen, this one with picture instructions painted on, showing a clawed hand picking up a bug, and then the bug flying through the hole in the sign.
How to Play
Welcome to bug in the hole! The aim of this game is quite simple; your character must chose a bug (either a month or beetle), and coax it to fly through the hole in the sign!
To play, Roll 2d4 (2 sets of a 4 sided dice). You must get either a 1,1, 1,4 4,1, or 4,4 to win!
Prizes or
If you win, please quote poke mattix with your choice. You can play once a day, but can only win one of each SE

Off to the side is a display of paper lanterns and an array of materials ranging from paper to glitter to...matches? A nearby demon catches your curious gaze and offers some assistance. "It's to make paper lanterns. The fire demons came up with the idea apparently. Something about...a parade...?" He shrugs, but gestures toward the items. "Feel free to make your own."
ooc
Feel free to make your own paper lantern! Please resize your lantern(s) to 50% so as not to fill the thread with so many large images.
gaia_star You may attempt to fly a lantern twice a day.
gaia_crownMechanics
Step One: To start building your lantern, you need to pick a colored base first. Roll 1d6
1 Orange 2 Red 3 Black 4 Yellow 5 Brown 6 Purple
Step Two: Now that you have the base, it's time to start decorating (although there isn't much materials to work with...) Roll 1d6 to grab the nearest decoration(s) at the table.
Step Three: Your lantern is ready to fly! Grab a match and light it. Roll 1d6 to see how well you did.
1 You light it perfectly and it gently floats up to join the others. It seems to be shining. You win a Raffle Ticket! 2 The lantern floats up happily to join its friends. You win a Tier 1 Prize! 3 The edges are a little crispy, but the lantern still flies. You win an IC Prize! 4 For some reason the lantern just won't light! Reroll 5 You really messed up and now it has a giant hole. There's no way it'll float now... 6 The flames engulf the entire lantern and it burns in a blaze of glory! The fire demons in the area congratulate you on a well done. You win an IC Prize!

In a corner of the booth there are several blocks of ice... a few chainsaws ... and a sign that reads: Test your skills in the art of ice sculpting!
ooc
Once a day, Players roll a 1d100, and match their results with the following:
1-20: You somehow manage to reduce the ice block into a puddle of water. At least you walk away with Danny's approval. 20-50: There is some semblance of.... something. You pass it off as some sort of avant-garde deconstructivist art. Edel is a little unsure, but she offers you a token of appreciation. She also recommends you take on Zixil Braxton's art class to develop your talents and pursue your unique artistic vision further. Pick an IC Prize! 50-80: It's a little rough around the edges, but it's a good attempt. Pick up a Tier 1 Prize! 80-99: The sculpture looks polished and presentable. Edel animates it for just a moment before it stops motionless again. She suggests you take it back to keep! (Quote Zyphiris with your minis SN for an Ice Block SE) 100: You have created a timeless masterpiece. Edel looks very impressed! (OOC: Quote Zyphiris in your post and references for a quick sketch/ art thing)
